I think passive is a much better option as necros already have plenty of ways to gain lifeforce.
I dont like this system, often if you die and walk back, you lose credit, it’s really fun in VB or SW when you have to walk 3/4 of the map and you come back to an event that’s over and you have no credit.
Not once a week, that’s crazy it’s even less than what we have now. I already have enough trouble finding dungeon groups, don’t make it harder.
Yes, please, oh please, I’m tired of carrying 6+ different types of keys in my inventory, it would be really nice.
How do people who don’t like SAB suffer from it being here? I don’t get it, play other content or something.
The underwater ones are fun and cheap to do.
Central Tyria Mastery Points more ways please

I had 52 mastery points when HoT came out, I think I can get around 15 more.
You need 51 to max all the pact tyria lines. Do JPs, they are easy, if you fall too much, get on a mesmer and do them on a mesmer, no more restarting after failing.
Also, since you have the internet, you can look to find JP guides, usually by watching them once or twice you know how to do them and can usually do them in one or two tries. They’re not SAB tribulation mode or the Clock tower (even those are easy once you learn them.)
[spoilers] That gliding phase was a bad idea

The rock phase is there to incite you to level gliding mastery so you can dodge in teh air (or stealth, don’t remember).
You can throw away whatever you get once it’s unlocked on the pannel (Dont throw away the fractal capacitor, you’ll need to upgrade it).
As for the various parts you crafts, they are all backpieces that you will have to keep as you upgrade it on each step. for example, use finite result to make upperbound, upper for unbound, which is the “precursor” for ad-infinitum, so you’ll have to combine that one with a bunch of mats and stuff that are currently unknown.

I like gliding, gliding is fun. Bouncy bounce shrooms are fun too.
Don’t just rush achievements, it gets boring fast, you should play through the metas on each map 3-4 times and run around getting hero points and such, you’ll be getting a bunch of points that way, once you are bored with that, you can go re-do the story on other chars to get more rewards and try to get the achievements that way.
Masteries aren’t a must for about 90% of the HoT maps.
If you really want to grind masteries, what I recommend is getting lvl 1 of each, that way you can use all the basic transportation things the masteries offer you and you can trhow in updraft in there (seriously, it’s the best).
As for a list of items, if you have multiple lvl 80 chars, try getting the elite specs unlocked on each so you can start the elite specs collections and gather the stuff while you run around (some require adventure rewards and they wont unlock retroactively, might be a bug, I dont know), apart from that, the game pretty much gives you all you need as you play and you only have to go after a couple particular things when that is done.
To make the exp grind less boring, if that’s the route you’ll go down, run a celebration booster, you get them on 1 year old chars, I personaly have over 20 of them and I’ve been using them because it makes the leveling experience feel much better.
But remember, try to have fun, yes it might be fun to have everything unlocked in a week, but then all you have left to do is play the TP (and people wrongfully hate you for that ), or redo old content. If you feel bored in HoT maps, just go do fractals and level pact tyria masteries that way. I hear autoloot is awesome when it doesn’t make you crash.

Oh hey, it’s fireslym, the guy who hates flippers.
But TBH, I agree with most of what you said, the jungle balance is great, I’m having tons of fun running full zerk, and I know why I die.
The only thing I don’t like is bristlebacks. they WILL murder you, NO. MATTER. WHAT.
The only way I found to survive a fight when they start throwing all the rocks on the earth towards you, and then more, was to run shield an full pvt, and then sue both dodges. That I don’t like and I think it should be changed to be less gimmicky.
Oh, and hero points when people stop doing them are gonna be fun to do.
Blame the TP flippers for the price. They have been pouncing on everything desirable in the past 2 weeks and jacking the price up. Endless bat tonic went from 80 to 278 gold.
Best bet is to buy the time limited stuff and then sit on your hands and wait for the rest of the materials to go down in price.
I’d argue it’s not the flippers, but people who manipulate the market, both are very different.
Also, when the demand blows up and the supply can’t follow, the prices go up, regardless of wether or not someone is manipulating the market.
The old maps weren’t designed to have gliding in them, and it would allow people to break out of the maps or “cheat” their way through JPs, vistas and a bunch of stuff.
I agree with all of this.
While I do find it nice that I’m not kitten by playing a class who doesn’t have the tagging capacity of others, I do find it annoying that I don’t at least get exp for the mobs I kill, espescialy considering that some masteries take nearly 15 million exp to max out.
Fractals NEED a exp buff. It also seems like you dont get karma/get incredibly low amounts of karma for doing low levels anymore, which is dumb since decorations are said to need karma.
I got an idea which fixes this problem as well as the one with not having any kind of death penalty:
First things first; make dying actually a penalty
-remove armor repair merchants and anvil from exportable zones; keep them in your home instance, and as an upgrade for guild, halls.
-damaged/broken armor cannot be unequipped.
-damaged/broken armor cannot be salvaged
-damaged/broken armor cannot have new upgrades applied to it
-damaged armor will lose upgrade effectiveness; as more armor gets damaged, runes will be “downgraded” to the next lowest tier (Superior will have the same effectiveness as major once two of the six armor pieces are broken, major will have the same effectiveness as minor, etch)
-Further more, for ascended (and when it’s released, legendary) armor
—Damaged ascended armor loses agony resistance
—damaged legendary armor cannot have its stats changedNow in order to repair your armor:
-Up to exotic, use essence of luck to repair your armor. For ascended and legendary pieces, you have to use globs of dark matter; you cannot repair armor with a lower tier essence of luck than the piece being repaired (ex you can’t repair exotic armor with masterwork luck)
-If you find a place of power, you can commune with that place of power to repair your armor (4 hour cool down on that)In this system, it incentivizes you to go out and play the content, instead of just running to the anvil at the start of the dungeons, or exiting to Dessa’s lab for fractals.
This really sounds like a bad idea as a luck sink, it wouldn’t be fun. I do like the idea of maybe turning luck into a low quantity armor repair kit of some sort.
I’m pretty sure you have to pre-order HoT, I don’T know if you still get it after the expac is realeased. If you’ve already pre-ordered and dont have your extra slot, contact the support.
You’re not a trader, you’re a Market Manipulator.
So far the TP works fine for those that are playing Guild Wars 2.
The rage and anger in this post are flowing through my screen.
But yeah, would be nice if the TP was improved. For example, add a section of “Favorited items”. Right now I just put offers for 1-50copper that I know wont be filled to “tag” items I search often and I use the my transactions page, it’s still annoying as I sometimes have to scroll through 100-200 different buy/sell orders to get to my tagged items, but it’s a decent way to save time.

The 170 points needed will be to unlock EVERYTHING.
I assume to unlock all the traits/skills it’s gonna be the normal 75-125.
And anyway, getting hero points will make you go through the map, and get you waypoints, nobody can complain about unlocking waypoints. plus you don’t have to do hearts, which is the only reason map completion takes so long.
Eh, I think those scrolls are in such high supply because it allows people with few character slots to delete one or 2 chars repeatedly to try out other classes/races.
I do have over 15 different scrolls, but I don’t really care if they sit there, they are fun when I want to get 1 black lion key just for fun.
Yes it’s true that it’s slow when you refine 12000 of mat X into 6000 of mat Xb and it takes 40 minutes (I did the math, and said thing, multiple times), but if crafting was faster, you wouldn’t be able to make money off of crafting as people would bombrush every profitable recipe and suddenly you’d have 5000000 of the item you just crafted instead of having the time to craft it.
I agree with all of this, but if they do put in legendary dyes, maybe they should be unlocked along with the legendary armor piece they are linked to and allow you to move the effect to another skin if you dislike the loot of the legendary armor piece. (or simply throw it on an outfit)
Another question, do you think the price of these Trick or Treat bags increase or decrease when Halloween hits?
decrease
This is pretty much it.
There are two main reasons (that I see) for the decrease in price.
The first one is because everyone bought up a whole ton of bags as speculation, they will either sell them or use them once Halloween comes out, causing the supply to spike, which the demand will not follow and the prices will take a temporary hike.
The second one is the increase in population that the release and Halloween will cause, that will increase the supply and the demand, but most likely the supply as a lot of new players will be looking to make money and will sell their bags to have a small amount of gold stockpiled once Halloween ends/once they go back to normal play or to HoT.
You can look at the graphs on gw2spidy, or any website of your liking to see this behavior being repeated every year.

This is my stat sheet, what kind of virtual reality world are you sending people who answer your question into ?
Why is there so much hate towards those who have money or make profit on those forums, what’s wrong with that? I don’t get it, if you don’t want to accept that people are sometimes BETTER, LUCKIER, or SMARTER than you, you should find people who are the contrary of that and only hang around them.
On topic, Yes a luck sink should be added, I like the idea of turning luck into shards, it could be something like 25k luck to 1 shard, but still be something high so that people don’t just convert to shards and not level their MF
Broken can also mean that the energy scanner thing doesn’t work anymore, and ANYWAY, what’s wrong with a bit of exclusive content for the vets?
EDIT: On topic, I do think it would be nice to have the one not on fire unlocked if you have the one on fire, as a lot of people, me included, destroyed the not on fire one after getting the flaming one.
Removing stat swapping from legendary is silly. That would make a shaman’s lego worth less than a zerk lego, at least in the current meta.
On topic however, I dont think that you should be able to swap upgrades. I dont like the +5 of a stat infusions so I just stick with the +5 AR only. Apart from that I dont run the most expensive sigils (apart from sigil of torment because it’s always fun) so i dont really care about overwriting them.
I had this happen to me while trying to group for HotW p1 and there was this group of 2 people wanting to do story that merged with me and started being kittens and saying this was a story run.
I find the followers list useful. I am someone who hates adding people that I might bother by talking to them, probably some sort of social anxiety, whatever, by having the followers list I can know who likes me and who I probably wont bother if I PM them to ask them if they wanna do a dungeon or something.
No keys, over 20 chests
To stall the HoT content, that’s all. Might be because anet still doesn’T trust the megaserver system and they dont want 100k players in 4 maps at a time creating 600 instances of 4 different maps, and that way they can spread the population.
It will also help the economy that way the market wont be flooded by all the HoT mats.
I find this idea completely ridiculous. Granted I am part of those who can make gold fairly easily, but still, why remove gold? by doing that people would just start using lodestones/ectos/whatever to trade for things.
To be honest, you just seem like someone who is angry that you can’t figure out how to make easy gold in-game. If you want a game where there are no virtual currencies, dont play RPGs, and go play shooters, there it’s all about skill and you can bond with people of similar skill level.
So, this is an issue that has been bothering me since the website launched and I can’t find any subjects related to this bug/poor design choice.
For a while now I have struggled with the Guild Wars 2 website defaulting to french. I was able to circumvent this by adding the English version in my favorite bar, but it only goes so far as whenever I access another section of the website it goes back to french.
The language I selected, English is also forgotten whenever I access the section in question from a new tab (same as if I would close the browser).
An example of this “bug” would be whenever I access the forums, it defaults to the french version of the forums.
The language I select, English is also forgotten whenever I access the section in question from a new tab (same as if I would close the browser). Do not confuse this with the forums being reset to french when I change from one section to another, it remembers I picked English in those cases.
The reason I think this is a bug is because the wiki always defaults to English for me
So, is this intended, or are the cookies saving the selected language bugged, or do you simply throw whatever language on that suits the region the IP is located in ?
If anyone wonders, french is my native tongue, but I find it extremely cringe-worthy in video games and on the Internet in general, and I much prefer English as it also has a higher proportion of active members.
I also have a English version of W10 and my browser’s default language is also English, which is why I ask about the region detection.
Thank you.
EDIT: Also, there are no language buttons for the account page.

Yeah, that’s counter intuitive TBH, it goes char→bank→collections, which is pretty much in order of how valuable the inventory real estate is, it shouldn’t go for colections first.
Queen Jennah is Scarlet.
No, I dont think it should, as it woud break the PvP balance making the classes that dont have protection, like warriors, lose out on that. I do know that warriors have resistance on healing signet BTW.
And the way I understand protection is it makes a sort of shield that softens blows around you, why would that decrease condi damage, logically, it would even increase burn damage/poison duration as it would “trap” the heat/fumes inside by slowing their escape.
As someone who mains a PS warrior, I find this silly.
Eles can give might, murder people, heal people, go invicible, warp away, give other boons, become invincible again, burn the hell out of you, and be the best tanks, all by using a single set of gear, dont tell me PS should be removed or that eles can’t do anything other than DPS.
Also, eles stack more might pre-fight than warriors.
Make it 10 slot and I’d get a merechant contract, a BL contract, put in my silver fed, and copper fed and mining toold and my mystic foger node and karmic converter
Come to think of it No I only need 1 slot… just my bank contract… done.
This is pretty much it.
Also, arenanet wont do this because it will reduce teh need to buy merchant/TP/bank access items from the black lion company.
Even though it would be really handy, I dont think it’s a good idea as we’ve been doing fine for the past 3 years. If anyone wonders, yes, I do sometimes have to transfer all of my stuff from 1 char to the other.
I think one of the reason they wont do this is because back in GW1 there was a market for guild tags with japanese characters, for example, the [ti?n] guild (think they used the “ta” symbol, dont remember) and people found that kind of stuff cool, but only people who had asian accounts could created those guild (if I rememebr correctly). As you can guess, a market regulated by nothing would have a lot of risks, espescially if it’s selling guilds. The amount of QQ that there was because people got scammed was prabably a reason as to why Anet didn’t bring back japanese/cyrillic/other alphabets.
That and because they want to restrict trading a lot.
“Omg the server lagged and I lost my lvl 80 HC character, I demand that ArenaNet brings it back to life and compensate me for all the time I spent on it!!!!”
Yeah… lets not.
Yup, that’s prett much it, we already see so many disconnects during PvE events, if there was hardcore mode in the game people would get kittened if they accidentaly wandered in an event map and got killed because they disconnected.
Do you live with sibblings or roommates? Because if you do, one of them has to be torrenting things. It is possible to disable P2P sharing with some routers, but it may prevent you from playing certain games that need it.
If not, make sure your router is using WPA2 encryption on your router, if you are using WEP encryption, you are vulnerable to attacks from outside, as a WEP key can be cracked in no time. In either case, I would change your wireless router password to be safe, as someone might have gotten in your network.
You will be happy to know that culling has been greatly reduced during events. Plus, lag has not been an issue for a good while.
Now, I heard the event required about 80 people to beat it, so, you might have trouble getting in the zone for the first days since people will probably guest on every server to try and beat him.
Balth is open on Maguuma (US)
Opening a parachute in a volcano SHOULD cause you to go back up since it’s filled with hot air and that air would get in the parachute.
Also, it would catch on fire.
But yeah, jumping from malchor’leap place and gliding around to see the teritorry would be nice, but it may not fit with the lore.
Not sure if you checked that, but maybe the wattage of your power supply is not high enough.
To check it, just look on the side of your power supply.
