Same as the others had bloodstone before patch bought petrified wood after hotfix and can’t see the winterberry bush in the vendor.

What i did was block them then find their name in the list and report for botting after the match was over.

I’m Just gonna put this out there to all the people saying “that’s not ANETs fault” when you design a social game you need to design your systems with players in mind you can’t just throw something out and tell your players to “figure it out”, even if the actual mechanics of the content are good if you didn’t build the social structure to support it it’s still bad design.
These design problems mainly come into play with the lack of a proper LFR system, and the power creep from Elite Specs leading to some classes being very out classed and being unable to fill a role with similar efficiency as others, this leads to a very restrictive meta. Also before anyone says anything a good designer designs with the meta in mind.

These are my salvage rates since i started recording last month.

34 uninfused=143=4.2per

15 infused=87=5.8per

Be aware there is a high variance in salvage resultes most get 2-3 with the rare 15-20 “jackpot result” and my numbers are statistically pretty small.

I don’t think you guys understand why these cost the price they do. If some one buys one of these slots they will NEVER buy multiples of the copper-fed or the infinite gathering. they have to make the money back for the lost sales from those items that’s why the price is what it its.

I’m a hetro guy with all male chars and both Dreamer and Kudzu. I think they’re both awesome, I mean what’s more metal than exploding rainbow death ponies?

61 Deldrimor costs about 330g to craft considering that’s the main cost of pre crafting and Spark sells for 750g on the TP it’s not bad. The costly part of pre crafting is making the 1st weapon and 2nd collection, the 2nd and 3rd weapons only cost a few gold to make and the 1st and 3rd collections are just quests.

Some tips: Do NOT buy Deldrimor off the TP it costs almost 2x as much to buy as it does to make.
Craft mithrilium every day you dont have to make ingots just the time gated part.

Park your alts at rich iron and platinum veins and mine them every day.

Take your time don’t rush, it’s alot if you want it tomorrow but over 2 months its more manageable.

Form the 20 rings I got 104 Stabilizing Matrices which would sell for about 42g, I figure the drop is on average 5 per ring, so the profit as of last night per salvaging ring is ~1g.

From the Chest I got 1 Vision Crystal, 1 Ball of Dark Energy, and 1 Salvaged Greatness.

Though I’d share with you guys I know i don’t have a large sample size so i could have been very lucky or unlucky.

4,815 hrs over 928 days.

The hero points in WvW, Drytop, Southsun, and Silverwastes don’t count for map compleation but you still get hero points from them.

I have 7 lvl 22s parked at Weyandt’s Revenge i don’t have exact numbers but I’d estimate i get about ~9/week across all 7 chars.

It’s P4 its almost always P4.

I use a 360 controller I’ve got about 4500hrs I speed run dungeons do fractal 50s and spvp and have about kitten win rate and win 7/10 1v1s I’ve even commanded in wvw some but the typing part is a pain, however I do use a wireless KB and mouse for menus. For the camera issues i just bound right click to left trigger and just hold it down most of the time about ground targeting it can take some getting used to but I play engi a lot so i got a lot of practice what i do is kinda aim with the camera it’s hard to explain.

Ele and necro benefit greatly from strength mesmer also does when using inspire signet to copy boons or traited GS. With pack you mostly take it for the switness boost, solid stat boost, and fury uptime these things only really benefit mesmer the other two already have them. Scholar runes are good if you only run with coordinated groups or have a class with heath regeneration so they work well with necro and mesmer but are kinda hard to keep up on ele since you have low base HP and you use your heal offensively. In the end the difference in dmg between the 3 isnt that big 3-7% in optimal situations. I go with strength if you play ele/necro more or pack if you play mes more.

I’m not really that familiar with laptop gaming so any help or experience with the respective graphics cards is appreciated,

1. A bit but mostly from tryhards and not people who really understand the game. I’ve had no problems pugging fractlals 50 on my ranger.

2. Thieves have the highest single target dps for cleave dmg it’s probably pretty close to the same as ranger.

Thieves have more debuffs and stealth to support their team rangers have a mix of offensive and defensive buffs. Rangers have more survivability, rangers are also a pet class so you have to mange your pet and bring the right one for the job.

Point one: this thread is over a year old so OP probably was new when he posted it.

Point two: Some of these responses wow just wow when people say the dungeon community is toxic I generally dismiss them as entitled PHIWers, but some of these responses are pretty much the definition of toxic. There is no defense for kicking the group starter for being a lowbie in an “all welcome” run, that’s like saying pinging zerk and wearing nomads when the group asks for zerk is okay or stealing a legit dungeon sellers instance is okay, that’s troll behavior plain and simple.

I gotta agree it seems like they’re favoring theme over mechanical functionality. I don’t even think this is a PVE vs PVP balance thing cause they seem like they’ll suck in both areas.

Ecto is short for “Glob of Ectoplasm” is a high end crafting material that is obtained from salvaging rare/exotic weapons and armor. The rate of salvage is 0.875 with a master/mystic salvage kit so multiply the price of ecto by 0.875 if it sells for more sell it on the TP if less salvage it. Example ecto= 40s 0.40 × 0.875= 0.35 if the price of ecto is 40s anything over 35s sell anything under salvage. That said it’s probably better for you just to sell the rares, your dealing with probability when you salvage so you need large sample sizes to minimize the “luck” aspect. If however you do need ecto for crafting then salvage to save the 15% TP fee.

The patch notes were most likely talking about the revenant armor skins that some beta players got as a bug.

Tier 1 Warrior and Necromancer: Simple and Very tankey
Tier 2 Ranger and Guardian: Slightly more complex , but still good defense
Tier 3 Mesmer and Thief: Somewhat complex and a bit glassy
Tier 4 Elementalist and Engineer: Very complex and Ele is pretty glassy

You can swap sword for MH Axe if you prefer, your pets can very but try to use ones that do condi with their F2, and try to swap pet in your bonfire for more might from clarion bound.

Edit 2: you can use Krait or Mad king runes if you don’t want to run CM but you lose alot of might.

With the ability to change stats in the MF high level fractles are now a somewhat viable way to get armor/weapons. There is droprate research from a guild that does fractles a lot it’s basically about 15% to get an ascended weapon/armor piece at lvl 30 and it slowly goes up as you increase lvl to about 20% at 50 armor is about 2x as likely as weapons.

Another way is Teq I’ve had some pretty good luck with him and got 2 asended weapons from about 25 runs so I think there is a decent chance with him, but keep in mind that there are people who have done him everyday since release and got nothing so RNG is RNG.

WvW rank up chests have about a 0.5% to drop an ascended item but this can be a ring, a weapon, or armor so you could easily only get crap stat rings like me.

Champ bags can also drop drop weapons/armor but the drop rate is >0.1% to put that in perspective I’ve gotten 2 items from champ bags in 4000hr and that’s kinda lucky.

PvP loot boxes can drop them too but again the rate is really low not sure of the specifics on it.

These are listed in the order of easiest- hardest for ascended item acquisition.

I think they should have picked a different name, it’s not meant to function in anyway similar to “taunt” in trinity games and it just confuses people who have a poor grasp on game mechanic/design. It’s meant to be the opposite of Fear instead of of pushing away it pulls in, it was never meant as PVE aggro control.
That said I can see how it could be interesting in PVP/WVW however it’s not accessible enough to really matter at the moment.

2400 is $30 the deluxe edition is 25 more than standard you paid $5 less.

Just to preface I had no problem with the price, and purchased the ultimate edition on the first day.

That said I think its great that they addressed the more legitimate complaints and tried to clear up some of the misunderstandings, however i don’t think this is going to stop alot of the loud unreasonable complaints but those should fade with time.

You also got to remember that you’ll get alot of the mats you need through playing so it’s not 350-400g straight up unless you just buy everything on the TP.

Salvage all white,blue,green cloth items that you get.
You can get a good amount of cotton by doing the event chains in Harathi Hinterlands and opening the bags you get.

The damage you need to do to “tag” an enemy varies based on the enemy and is likely based on a percentage of their total health not on a flat number. When your in a party the parties total damage is what determines weather you “tagged” the enemy although you still have to hit them at least once. There also seems to be a cap on the number of players that can get loot, this number seems to be around 50, I believe anet mentioned this is a programming issue and not intentional.

“Tagging” is binary, you do and you get a loot roll, or you don’t and you do not get a roll. The amount of damage you do does not matter as long as you “tag”, it also does not effect loot quality.

ANET is very unlikely to answer your question they are very careful about what they say publicly.

The following is my opinion.
You should not use nomads gear, it is very selfish and places a higher burden on the players playing with you. If you are concerned about your survivability you should wear soldiers gear.

I would just suck it up and lvl up crafting it’s not as expensive as it seems since you can sell what you make, and the ascended revolver skins imo are some of the best, or you can try doing teq everyday and hope you get a weapon box(sunless revolver FTW).

Get the utility infusion and put a karma or magic find infusion in it. Infusions slots only give you +5(stat) and stat infusions are prohibitively expensive, most people just fill them with versatile agony infusions if they do fractles.

It’ll run the game decently on low/med settings, its not a bad laptop.

cons: Hard drive is a bit slow, but its not that big of a deal.

Leveling in GW2 is different than other games, you should think of it more like an extended tutorial than the game itself. They did something similar in GW1, in Factions you would even hit level cap in the starter zone.

80 hrs to get to level 60 seems slow to me you should be leveling 1lvl/45mins just doing casual PvE after lvl 20, 1-20 should only take 2-4hrs.

The thing is the wells still do more than the shouts for groups of trash. And the shouts are terrible for single targets. You would use 1 shout max with 2 wells for trash pulls. If the shouts had blast finishers they might be a little more favourable.

yeah, but if you have that trait, you can basically chain shouts on groups.

I think you misread the shouts only effect their own cd not the cd of other shouts.

Shouts look weak, gonna have alot of vuln though, chilled will be a decent debuff for trash, no unique group buffs or dmg modifier which is bad, it could have been worse but also better. Looks like it will be fun to play, but won’t really shake anything up.

In wvw ppl below 230 levels and above are already in a way different level, as are pugs without builds and food, compared to the silver, gold and platinum fighters…

Even the ascneded armor will not help you to compete. As the experience ppl will get 2500 Hp 100 power and condition dmage wich last even through downs, and ppl using wvw infusions will always have a point up over those also using thier armors for Fractals and so on.

Be aware Ascended armor does give you 5%-7% more armor , depending if you have toughness in your build and could give you 5-10.5% more DPS if you have a zerk armor…

then again the 2 buffs added and food added and bloodlust added and stacking sigils added will make this rather minor, When fully buffed I run 600-700+ more power (without banners or might) then base. (100 power/ 100 condi dmg from 1st buff), 30, 50 or 70 from bloodlust, 250 from stacking sigil, 100 power from food (seldomly run def food tbh. ) ~150-170 power from sharps.
In combat I gain another 600 power and 600 condition dmg from might making me 1200 power more powerfull in combat compared to entering…

Also 30, 50, 70 vitality, healing power, condition dmg, toughness and so on should be considered.

The 17 slots provided for ascneded gear are quite underwhelming … and when considering all numbers the 5% from armor, and the 5% from weapon are the only gain, which is based on a long term investment.

You can make it, some people have it. I have 5 characters with 1 or more pieces of ascended armor (1 with 2 full sets, 1 with 1 full set, 2 with chest and legs and 1 with only chest. of those 5 character only 2 have a set dedicated to WvW on the other 5 charatcer I only use ascneded trinkets and weapons., mostly as I cannot afford the 275-575 gold for each character. And food and utility will far outweigh the benefits… of an armor….

I have my character in exotic armor instantly when achieving 80. having no long term goal will make your reasons to play way smaller. nobody cares for legendaries anymore, as they are more common then all other exotic skins. leaving you nothing to achieve anymore other then playing the game working to reach the platinum or mithril levels of some other players…

You will not be comparable to those players until you are quite a bit in your gold levels… so ~lvl 1400 or so. even when wearing ascneded armor. as they are more versatile, carry more supplies, use ’m faster, can jump on any siege with maximium effects and are inrically familiar with all possible nooks and crannies of the maps…

I know ppl with 7 or 8 k AP who played since headstart. and have ugly characters because they only care about WvW, they only play for WvW, not for looks, skins, points but just know zergs, roaming, and all other facets, I know ppl who played wvw for a long time and did some PvP to return quite dissapointed cause none of the sharks, phoenixes and dragons could hold their own. while they were only bunnies.

It is a gaming mode in its own. fighting with 30 guildies wiping 50 or 60 man blobs asks for coordination and skill, not just armors.

And the fact ppl think they cannot ever aquire ascneded, well just start.
You will make 1 piece and a week later the second, maybe 1 or 2 weeks later the 3rd and in 2 months give or take 2 weeks you’ll have your armor. Just make sure you think about the stats, wrong stats are nioce but unusable for 300+ gold…

Finally, when playing PvE it really doesn’t matter if you run exotic or ascneded except in lvl 39+ fractals. and even there it is not 100% neccesary. leaving the unjustice of ascneded very very much a personal opinion. in 2 or 3 months you will have your own armor and you’ll compare and find it give you some change, but if you are going to be in problems the differences between exotic and ascneded will not save you…

Your vastly over estimating the boost you get from ascended armor the armor bonus is 4.9-5.1%(depending on armor class) for the full set and if you wearing all zerk the dps bonus would be about 1.5%.

Okay didn’t read the whole thread (cause it been posted hundreds of times).

The statistical difference between ascended armor and exotic is 36 stat points that’s for a full set, so you entire armor set give you the statistical equivalent of half a might stack.

An ascended weapon is nice because i provides 5% more damage, but this is because of higher weapon strength not stat points (in terms of stats you get 19), but ascended weapons aren’t that costly at about 40-50g.

I’d like to point out that axe is actually part of the meta build for every class that has access to it. Rangers use off hand axe, Wars use main hand, and Necros use main hand as part of the death shroud build. I think what you experienced is less to do with “the meta” and more to do with “people are kittens sometimes”.

Getting a lot of points doesn’t mean you played well, it just means you did stuff that got you points. The point system is generally considered to not be a good indicator of your contributions to your team. Another thing is that classes/builds that roam a lot(like thieves) will have a higher score because they participate in more fights. I’m not calling you a bad player just pointing out that score is a bad measurement system.

It’s retroactive, all they’re doing is adding a different numerical value to the different gear tiers to make up for the stats lost from traits not creating a new tier of gear.

I think what some of you don’t realize is the mastery points you’ll get retroactively are only for old tyria not maguma so you’ll only be able to rush stuff like the old precursor track and fractles track, you’ll still start HOT with 0 MPs for the new area so tomes aren’t gonna make the new stuff easy mode.

That’s possible, but that’s not the information we have at this time. Currently it sounds like MPs are generic in earning them and they are applied to a Mastery track in the right region to make them specific.

Here it says that MPs are earned by doing content and they say that there are two sets of tracks but they don’t say that the MPs earned in one region can’t be spent in another.
