Raid healing

If I can just follow up with another question that I wasn’t thinking about last night while laying in bed. Is the inability to be taken seriously as a solo healer our lack of water fields? If protectors solace was a water field vs a light field do you think that would make us competitive with the ranger and ele or is it just a raw healing numbers thing? With 1300 healing power and the 105% healing duration your regeneration alone ticks for 600+ a second on your team. Plus the actual ventari skills and staff and shield compliment it well also.

I will have to alter my druid a bit and ele to make them my healers again but it’s a bummer. Or find a guild kind enough to let me play support rev.

Is the meta currently to just get one massive beast of a healer and solo heal all content or are most using two anyway?

Hey all. I am a big fan of healing but not digging the tempest or the druid very much. I was messing with the revenant builds and while I couldn’t find much on them or whether they are viable at all. So I went ahead and tried to put one together. Just curious on how a couple of things work.

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vlAQNAsemn3gmNSuQzJRboNlsP0oS4I6UJ4ENskFglx+2dDeNgDSg9iOCB-TFyGABBpUJS9BDt/A5nCAAeCACpsCKlgSq+DpA8bvF-w

So I figure with this I would just play with what I did have and while nothing scales terribly well the build does have 105% healing effectiveness. Is it overkill and does it leave the revenant itself way to vulnerable? Looking at it it can lay down some mad healing but not sure if all of these bonuses stack with each other reliably either?

Has anyone had much success in using their revenant to heal raids reliably or is it really that far behind other healers?

I did make the medic Gyro change and have been digging it. Also swapped out rune of water for dwayna as I felt more regen uptime would be more beneficial than a small area heal. The Rune of the monk would be interesting and I thought about it but after seeing what exactly I am healing my allies for it just didn’t come out to be as competitive than finding ways to get more regen (which is something I still feel I am struggling with). Most of the heals in this build is just itty bitty team heals. 30-100 a tick for everyone on your team which wouldn’t really get as much effect from 10% increased healing. Instead I just stack as much healing over time on myself as possible. Between regen backpack regenerator and and rapid regen I can combo in 1200+ healing per second just through the healing over time. Add in the ability to combo in water fields and provide more burst through everything else and it becomes really tanky really fast.

The med kit does go a bit against the idea of the build which is to be extremely offensive. I have also tried swapping out the bombs for elixer gun which was an absolute no go. I am considering strongly swapping EG out with the purge gyro as shredder inside super elixer would be nearly as effective anyway plus it gives on demand regeneration which would solve my other issue of not having enough of that.

This is just the stats of the last game I played. That was with purge gyro against no condi players (didn’t swap cause I am a bad) and rune of water. Went 12 and 1 in it and doubt I would have died even the one time had I already swapped to dwayna and elixer gun. Not optimal and lacks some serious condi clear but it is a fun one if anyone is ever feeling the need to lay down some mad team healing without rolling druid or ele.

I know it probably isnt meta but its the first time I have really messed with engi in a while and I have been having this ich to support on something other than ele or druid. That said I have only played a few games with it and would love to hear feedback as to potential changes in runes or even trinket that might add to the keeping my people alive factor.

The synergy of being able to stand in the middle of a team fight giving off continuous heals (small yes but they add up quick) and provide a solid amount of dazes and blinds to your foes is awesome. As long as you make sure you are using hammer 4 in both a lightning and water field as often as possible the healing output is bananas and your allies benefit from 20% of it. Hang out in your bomb kit anytime your not combo-ing or in a position to burst your enemy down and profit.

Riposting shadows and dodges are perfect get away. If you have full endurance and 50 energy you can dodge backward riposting shadows back doge RS and yet another dodge. It is well over 1500 range worth that you can put between your enemy and yourself all while evading the entire way back. I used it on skyhammer the other day and got told that I was hacking which was kind of lulzy but it did keep me evading from the portal almost to point A where my team was.

Hey all I am trying to get more into the pve and raiding side of the game as of late and have settled on playing a chronomancer. I know 100% quickness uptime and being able to “tank” are the reasons most chronos get into the raids so my question lies along those lines… What % boon duration should I be aiming for with the changes to alacrity? And does having a herald in your group effect the way you all gear out? Or should I simply stick with the gear to be able to provide that on my own with no outside aid?

I am currently farming for all of the Commander’s weapons and armor set but am a bit confused if I need the accessories? How much armor I need to shoot for? I have seen some people still take zerker accessories and trinkets but I am not sure if that has changed with the alacrity nerf as well. Is 50% still the gold standard of 100% quickness uptime?

Hey people. I haven’t raided in this game before but love providing boons and supporting my teams via increasing damage out put (vanilla/tbc wow warlock and shadow priest)
Anyways onto my actual question. All of that said I am kind of stuck between chronotank and revenant. I am limited in my resources however. To a point where the chronotank would be a blast but if ascended armor is a must I will have to pass for rev.
Is the ascended armor bonuses a requirement for most raid teams on their chronotanks? I have a set of zerker weapons and trinkets but I seriously lack the resources for a set of armor.

I can’t shadow what others have said enough. I am not the best player by any means but I can tell you having a great build does not make up for other mistakes. 1 patiently thought out and well timed dodge roll is worth your entire HP bar against most of the wvw roamers following the burst builds out there.
Your build is squish to the max but it doesn’t mean it can’t work. Just remember whenever you see something on the youtube it probably isn’t showing everything that happened that day. A solid 15 minute video where you wreck those 1v4s and stuff is put together from hours and hours of gameplay.
If you enjoy playing that build all the more power to you. You will find some fights where you steamroll your enemies. Just know that zerker builds in wvw without having tons of dodges or stealth built in are really risky. Doesn’t mean they can’t be fun but you have to accept getting globaled (or as close to it as this game has). Once you accept this then play your zerker out as much as you want. Your guild might dislike it but just leave that kitten. I was in a guild for a while that had their own meta builds and you weren’t allowed to run with them in wvw unless you were using their own deemed best build for your class. I can respect the want for synergy. But I would ultimately rather play the builds I like and move on.

This is a pretty fun one with good burst. I realize it isn’t full healing and focuses more around the GS than the staff but the healing aspect kind of stays the same no matter what. It’s not the largest healing but it’s 1v1 or 1v2 is a lot more manageable given the burst potential. If there is a better ammy still avalible for it please let me know. Crits come from fury and sigils so I like the ferocity heavy stuff. However it is a shame that only vitality is avalible for that. It might prove out to be worth while as the meta favors condi classes. But squish squish against thieves and high burst.

Tip #1 which is different from the thief meta style of hitting hard early… wait out for your burst. Even if you are the plus 1 be patient and use it when you know it’ll land. Bristle back f2 and LB 2 a potent potent when used together even with Menders.
I recently swapped out my LB for the GS and love it. The ability to punish stealth still is awesome and the escape block and cc from it are sweet. Also as was said before. Learn to love avitar. The more you play in it the better you will be. When I am coming into a fight late staff 5+3 on my team is awesome and if the enemy is really laying down the deeps your avitar can be the most potent tool on the battlefield. The staff combo above plus a glyph and avitar 3 into the light field and water field is so lulzy it ain’t funny.

Thieves still give me a hard time and some condi builds can keep up pressure that makes healing through it hard but just keep playing and learning the healing possibilities and the damage will come secondary to that.

Thanks for the replies guys. After taking the day to think about it and seeing what you all had to share I settled on mixing and matching till I was closer to the menders set from Spvp. This one has a bit more toughness, power and ferocity but less healing and vitality. In the end I think it will play just well enough for me to do my casual thing.

Tried the zerkers some more in pvp to see if I could pull it off and sadly must report that while I feel fine with other squishier classes I have a hard time playing zerker on the druid. Probably I am just a big noob but menders yeilds me far more success personally. That said I will post what I settled on incase anyone is interested at all.

Is healing power worth the stat investment in solo or 2 or 3 man roaming?

Also does it make a difference in PvE or is it more just for use in raiding and the more competitive side of Spvp?

I ask mostly because I looked at my bank today and saw that I have enough mats to make a set of ascended weapons and armor and would really hate to invest in healing power if zerker is just the way to go.

Also on the note of making ascended… maybe it is more worth it to just focus on making different weapons instead of the armor altogether? Not sure if there is enough difference considering I have only done 1 fractal since release and still have yet to raid.

In the end I keep it in the heart of the mists, small scale WvW and random world events. Kinda leaning towards zerker so I can use it on other toons as well but this is what I play 95% of the time now.

I think engi offers your more flexibility than any other class as far as difficulty goes. You can make the class require 15 button pushes to pull of something epic or you can do something totally standard with a build requiring only 1.
Of course that is somewhat exaggerated but if you break the mold the engineer has the potential of giving you difficulty based on whatever you are searching for in the moment.

What do you expect from the game right now? I don’t think ele is the easiest class in the game and I doubt anyone would truly claim that it is either. If your looking to climb rank as an ele then I have really not much to offer as I would simply rather play my prefered build at the level that I can succeed with it. But there are a few good threads going on right now that could help you with that as well. I think you could get pretty well caught up on the opinions of ele builds by checking out “current state of the elementalist in PVP”.

To answer what I have found to be fun myself I would point you to: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vFAQFAWn0XCdOg9XCOYC0RglHAzdyeZ/sDngMwLUIAcAahA-TZwCBAw+DAA
I enjoy the feel of this build a lot. It won’t get me diamond at all but I find it does well against the majority of the people who play at my mmr. A lot of zerker builds that crumble before it which I enjoy. I’m gonna try taking firey great sword as well and see if I enjoy that more even. Just something I find I enjoy.
In the end you gotta set your eyes on your goals as well. If you want to climb and are serious about making it to the top feel free to disregard the build.

Yeah I started playing with this some this morning and am starting to regret some life decisions. I threw together something that just relies heavily on auras and it is turning out to be pretty fun counter to the very bursty and squishy specs people are running with right now. The only thing I am lacking hard is condi clear.

the rough rough draft I threw together was this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vFAQFAWn0XCdOg9XCOYCcYilHAb4EkBehuT2L7nVIAcAahA-TZQ7AAw+DAA

Was thinking about sigil of intelligence for the spike of damage that attuning to air could cause. And of course with this the only line I would have to really change would be air to water if I wanted to become full support with the amount of auras this build can pump out. The runes I honestly just grabbed cause what harm can another aura do but that is easily up for a change if its truly terrible. As for stats I wont have enough time to really play with that until later.

Any thoughts would be welcome. I always wanted to be able to make staff work and just getting back from a years long break this was the first I had seen staff used at all let alone in pvp.

Thanks for the responces. So I noticed a ton of air spells cast and cantrips with air elementals. Most of the ground aoe was used for zoning purposes and everytime the theif would stealth there would be a field it would have to cross into to get to him. (Air 5 caught it one time to many and the kill was secured through that) also a huge amount of earth. I was thinking after I posted this before bed that he probably was air and earth. The damage was still there but just about every time the thief went stealth again he would swap back to earth. He was tempest and would use overloads when the theif would be near as well. Just a ton of punishing aoe everytime the thief went stealth.
With all of that I assume cantrips (I know I saw the air one more than once) and tempest earth and air. It wasn’t huge burst and he didn’t take massive amounts of damage so probably. Anyway I was pretty awestruck. Definitely gonna play around with Staff ele again to see if I can make it work.

I saw this staff ele today do something that I was sooooo envious of. He was dueling 1v1 and 1v2 and even fought a 1v3 (2 were adds that didn’t know it was a duel) all of this while being staff. Watched him take d/p thieves and zerker rangers… even a scrapper which shocked me.

No doubt I was pretty shocked by the whole thing and wondering if anyone knows what kind of build this was or simply the basics to roaming as a staff ele. Always wanted to but never found a decent balance of damage and defense for me.

I am one of those noobs that likes going in an just dealing as much damage upfront as possible (why I only play thief and rev really)
My dodge trait is dash because I don’t take signet of Shadows. I take the power signet, shadow step and the other signet That allows a shadow step. Withdrawal for my heal and venom for my elite most of the time.
Normally I just try to lay down as much hurt as possible in my opening. I know it’s not ideal if your trying to climb rank like a mad man but I am perfectly happy accepting my mediocrity and simply enjoy blowing up whoever I am +1ing in against. I guess I don’t fully understand runes of daredevil. Is it every time you perform a dodge roll or achieve an evade? That would help a lot I think in the choice.

Dajman.2740

I am really torn between runes of the the daredevil and scholar. I know scholar takes it for pve but in pvp is the bonus damage on your opening rotation enough to dismiss on demand guaranteed aoe burst and a bit of toughness?

Or am I completely not thinking of a rune that would be preferable over these even? Every match is different as to where I get assigned. I prefer to be the +1 and roam but I dont know if that will make much difference… I fold pretty quickly when I cant open on the enemy.

Also is there any reason to take 2 main damage weapon sets into a match and leaving out SB or is it still standard? I thought for a while that d/p and staff would work so I could have a good opening for 1v1 but weakening charge into steal does just about as much for a back stab chain and I have access to all the aoe of the staff right after as well.

D/P I find to be superior in most 1v1 and I absolutely love staff when there is a group of enemies. My favorite part of staff would definately have to be staff 2 and mug for stealing buffs on forest map. Both are viable sets IMO and if your willing to give up SB no real reason not to keep both.

Exactly this. Positioning and picking the right time to engage is something that exists in every game out yet largely due to bunker meta was never stressed here. Dajman.2740

Still has great burst and even if they nerfed our damage they also globally buffed it by making the bunker band-wagoners bipolar their way into the new “only viable” specs which lucky for us are nice and squish. Honestly this is the most fun I have had on any class in a long while. You have plenty of ways to deal damage and chain burst phases back to back… In fact with less auto attack damage it allows Rev players to read and get to know their 2-5 skills. Pretty cool now that you know what they do right? I mean who would have guessed that we had a built in evade and stuff? Honestly thought enchanted daggers and impossible odds were the only working buttons on the class outside of right click.

I wont speak for PvE and hell I wont speak for PvP cause I am trash…. Ill just speak for me when I say that I see very little difference in my ability to deal damage. If anything damage when it matters (assuming you watch for gaps and time your stuff instead of mashing face in keyboard) is ridiculously high. I saw a ranger start his rapid fire channel in my last game and jumped to him… He was downed before he finished. Enchanted daggers and precision strike in melee range make a nasty nasty round of burst and unrelenting assault still takes enough time to force double dodge if they aren’t down.

D/P vs S/P - Differences in playstyle

in Thief

Posted by: Dajman.2740

Dajman.2740

I don’t have near the experience as others but I just dusted off my thief again and have put in every bit of free time to these builds over the last few days. From what I have seen (just my noon experiences) I would recommend s/d as for ability. I think it offers a higher skill cap but I can’t speak for how it would play with high ping. If lag is an issue and effects how you can move then maybe running s/p would offer more to your Disposal. Pistol whip is lackluster in its damage for the cost and I personally find the self root to be an issue more than a benifit. However if you charge it before a mug or other gap closer it can be quite fun.
As for sword dagger I think it takes away the trap that is spending initiative on dps instead of saving for utility. Let mug and your auto attacks decide your damage output and use initiative to fulfill other goals and priorities. Even If that is setting up damage through ripping boons and such.
I enjoyed both sets but remember I am not a vet to the class as much as I have just begun looking at how it works. That said I personally find myself drawn more to s/d for the simple reason that I feel it teaches me to be wiser in my initiative use and it is showing me how strong my auto chains really are. Also cloak and dagger stealth opens up a door to the world of control that even all the cc from pistol can’t create.
No idea how bad your lag is but try both and see what happens. there is no failure… simply finding ways that aren’t as successfull.

I have only been back about a week but is this something you only start seeing in ranked? I have been running 2/4/3/5/0 Sword/pistol and Staff and I haven’t seen issues with not being able to burst hard enough. maybe it is that I don’t face many real bunkers or what? I can’t 100-0 in seconds but I feel quite safe running zerker amulet and by the time I swap back to sword/pistol to send out a second duelist the enemy has either given up the point or is going to get stompe.
Again I can’t say I am current at all I am just shocked at the claims of not enough burst what is the definition looking into more competitive play?

I just want to say I love this build. I normally play D/D ele and this is completely different. Chaining abilities together as quick as possible to try and combo as ele really made my first couple hours rough with this toon. I found that as long as I take every fight and look at it strictly from a defensive point I have little issues loosing health. I have the opener with swords and as soon as the enemy turns I swap and punish them for making any action. Even if I miss 2 interrupts the CC is still a very big deal and I cant tell you how many times someone has tried to CC me so they could run only to meet a block that ticks burn just enough damage to down them.

Thanks for the look over Ross. You are absolutely right, the build was so overboard with vigor that I was over looking 2 trait changes I kind of wanted to make. So I made a few changes to the traits mainly taking the 5 from illusions and moving it to chaos and then taking the glamour mastery instead of vigorous revelation.

I was looking at it and while I liked the idea of having 2 more phantasms I think the extra stealth and portal both being on lower CD will make more of a difference when it comes to scouting around for my guild and being allowed to choose my fights. Moving out of illusions was an easy choice after that because I changed out 2 phantasms for the glamour skills instead (+ this will let me lessen the gap on swiftness after the rune changes to only 5% difference and make all other boons get 35% increase instead of just 30) The illusion regen and that 5 points from chaos should stack well to get me steady inflow of HP through the fight. I know it isnt a lot but with this I will only have about 2 seconds where I am not effected with swiftness which will still allow me to move around at good speed.

The near 40% crit that I have with the build and boon duration should leave me with near 100% uptime on vigor also which was something I definitely wouldn’t have caught and with all of the reflect stealth and evades that are attached to my abilities I am not to worried about giving up some defensive stats for it (still a ton). I wont kill super fast but I think with work I can count myself pretty safe also. Gonna be carrying many many supply traps with this build. The thing it does lack and I am glad to take this hit is AoE. I will have to plan a weapon swap if I get caught in a big big fight. Will say good bye to the scepter pistol in that case because focus reflect is going to be to good to ever give up.

Here is the revised build I took your advice and would love if anyone has follow up to it or thoughts to share. I am a bit worried that I am stretching thin so if anyone sees major gaps in my stats let me know.

Also. I want to keep at least one sigil of hydromancy because the CD increase is awesome and 60% slow is great for positioning.

New Mesmer avoidance build questions.

I am new to mesmer and was playing with some builds and found that I really wasn’t drawn to great sword or staff as an off weapon set. I fell in love with the sword/focus combo but felt a real lack in opening at range and closing for when the fight starts moving again.

My question would be based around the scepter/pistol as an off set. My build is focused around avoiding damage while pumping out as many phantasms as I can and just rolling around outside of that. Looking mainly for scouting purposes in WvW and have worked it out to give me 99% up-time on swiftness.

Just thoughts on the build. I have been looking for something that would fill the gap of mobility that I read about with roaming builds and even though I have to use my rune slots for it I think that the swiftness up-time should allow me to be picky in my fights.

Warrior or Guardian? Help me Choose.

Get this crap thread out of here. There’s not even a comparison.

Maybe that is why no one has said one or the other. Every post has been pointing out that they are different.

Warrior or Guardian? Help me Choose.

I leveled my guardian a couple months ago and it is better than any other class for what I want it to do. Tank and support. Heal on dodge is awesome and mace/shield will not die unless you can burst through all my HP pool at once. I run with 1k healing power (a lot dont like it but I love it) and 3k armor and 16k hp. Power and a bit of crit on the side make running mace shield unstoppable. This profession and build makes prot paladins cry.

I am currently working on my warrior. Mobility options are better and I like the weapon choices more. As far as taking a beating… not so much. But I am not looking to tank with him. I will admit and am proud to say I first saw The predator and thought it was gay…. Then I heard it shoot. Sounded like a blaster rifle from starwars and I quickly went and started to look for any armor combo that looked kind of like a clone or storm trooper. I found a set I liked and made a warrior. I cant get enough of the rifle (even with all the hate that weapon gets). It is more entertaining, for me at least, to play a rifle warrior than build my tank of a guardian and stand still getting smashed over and over again.

I would think first if weapon choice makes any difference to you. You say you like GS/R and I will say if you are anything like me you will kick yourself with a guardian when you think of pewpewing with the rifle.

Also if PvE is your interest you should remember that the content in this game doesn’t require any min/maxing. You can tank fine on either and you can deal damage fine with either.

Server transfers.

Simple idea but looking for some feedback. You get paired with 2 other servers for match up in WvW. Can we make it so transfers are not allowed between those servers? Your server match ups start at high and after a week of WvW action the server that won that week is full.

Should Anet Allow the Community to Make ADDONS?

Addons that show loot tables and stuff are cool or that show a numeric value for enemy health would be cool. But as was proven by WoW addons can become terrible fast. For instance if they are allowed someone will with out a doubt create an addon that will tell you what ability to use and when to use it based on what is going on around you which makes the game horrible.
I like being able to customize my interface but outside of that addons quickly take away from being able to play the game in an even fair playing field.

How is your gear currently? Crafting rares and exotics are quick upgrades. What I can say is that in dungeons and safe run is often better than a fast run. If you can control enemies or buff your team it is just as valuable as dealing TONS of damage. Also don’t run around with no upgrade slots filled because you are farming for your seals. Buy some t5 and t6 gems and at least get extra stats from those. Doesn’t seem like a bunch but it adds up well.

Thief in GW2 is just different from Rogue in WoW. WoW rogue would just lock you so you couldn’t move until it was done eating. Thief in GW2 gives you a chance to dodge at least. Someone stealths and you dodge roll the other way. Once that thieves stealth and CDs are gone you win.

Thank you for this work.

Anet put a band-aid on a bullet wound here.

Getting hit by PW wasnt a huge deal. getting smashed by 2-3 PW in the time of a haste buff WAS A HUGE DEAL.
Was pistol whip OP or was haste OP?

@rickshaw

I agree. I am going to pick up my ele again and just finish it out. I ran D/D but was using a tank build. Rarely would get downed let alone die with that build. The ability to control your opponent is overlooked and called UP where the ability to burst an opponent is seen as OP.

Watched a great thread where it was a bleed speced theif against a guardian. What I saw there points to what I feel most people want. That thief had to deal damage and kite all the same. Wearing the guardian down slowly even though every time it took 1 hit he dropped 1/4 hp. Won the drawn out fights but only because the control was spot on perfect. Ele is the same way. you learn to control your opponent and you can have epic feeling duels. You just have to put in 100% more effort to do it. And then the complaint will be that the classes are OP because you cant catch them to 2 shot them.

Fact: Psychologically a person will not feel balanced until then win 60% of encounters. People who defend that it is balance probably win more often than lose and people who complain about being killed to much probably are sitting right on the line of balanced.

In a game like this control is OP and burst is OP. Balance will only be believed by most players when every class has 20k hp and 2k toughness 2k power and 50% crit chance. Each class has exactly 3 cc abilities and 3 counters and every fight comes down to trading blow for blow until someone drops dead. These fights must last at least 1 minute each at least so as to give the appearance of being an “epic duel”. And the player must win…..even though there are 2 players fighting each other. Oh yeah and each player needs the ability to choose his play style also.

If you want balance and an epic feel to every duel go play HALO turn shields up to 200-300% and give everyone and over shield. Also only the plasma pistol and take away all charge so you are reduced to punching each other in the face until one of you decides he doesn’t want to play anymore.

@Melphina

Thank you for the reply. In regards to when you say thief needs quite a bit of changes. What do you think needs changes?

I have only been playing thief a short time but from what I can see unless ANET wants to toss on enough defense that the thief can stand toe to toe with anyone the pure damage build will be one of the best choices. I would probably still build strait glass canon even if it took me 2 or even 3 backstabs to kill someone. And undoubtedly people will still then complain about the damage being to high.

Should the thief damage be nerfed right now (like happened to PW) with no major buffs to base defensive stats?

Dont show this stuff haha. People see only one thing. There will now be reports in the forums of a thief hitting someone for 1.5 million and backstab will be instantly stealth nerfed to deal 90% less damage.

Nice hit though.

IMO no single skill or burst combo should do more than 7k under “normal” circumstances. 7k is half of many profession’s life when not using vitality gear in abundance, meaning it’s still considerable dmg. Besides playing Thief, I also play Elementlist, and the things I have to do setup-wise to get to a crit that’s around 7k are absurd compared to the Thief setups, plus an Ele has to expose himself a lot to do that kind of dmg (i.e. setting up might stacks and channeling Churning Earth), just sayin’.
The burst damage problems GW2 currently has remind me a lot of old WoW days when Rogues in general, and Arcane Power Mages could burst people down almost instantly.

I just don’t see the draw of a game that has 8 classes that are all balanced around the same drawn out style of fighting.

Wow was killed in 3.0 when hybrid classes got a 30% damage increase to be competitive with pure damage dealers while keeping all their survivability. The classes that could only damage got no added survivablity. What you were left with was hybrids dealing on par damage with damage dealers who were still being treated like glass canons.

Ele has something thieves wont get. Support. A thief brings one thing to a group. The ability to kill something. This is why in drawn out fights like bosses in dungeons everyone is always looking for more eles and dreading the moment when a thief whispers asking to come along.
