Holy crap a red fixed something! Gratz, and enjoy the game ^^
E-mail came through just now and I re-opened it.
However what happened, because of this I am probably at the back of the queue again after already waiting all that time? Egh, I can give it another 24 hours I suppose, and see what happens. Another 12 days though, not a chance.
(I’ve been having numerous account issues on TOP of having this unexplainable lag issue. I’ve had assorted tickets since 08/15/2012 for individual issues, and not ONE of them has a resolution yet, just to share my reason for impatience and frustration)

I was waiting 11 days for a response to my account issue ticket when something finally happened. They just up and closed my ticket for no reason. I did not received a response, notification, E-mail, just closed. Now after such an error, I am to wait another Week or more because of a support reps cruel idea of a joke? I’m not able to be patient anymore, I but in for a refund request, I’ll give that a bit, then issue a chargeback afterwards if necessary. I mean I was patient at first, but I’m so stressed with this, I just can’t do it anymore, I’m done and I need to move off from these unresolved problems.

Yes. There is nothing any of us can do about it, since they shrug off any attempts at communicating over it. They say it’s a problem, they know it is, but that is as far as we have gotten in the past few weeks.
Currently I get 18 FPS on any settings with a 8120 FX Bulldozer and Radeon 6850, even tried to OC both, change settings, driver updates, all that…Nothing helped one bit.
I think you are saying you can file a refund request instead.
But that is about as far as I agree with you. They are not a good company, if they get hurt, it’s because they deserve it after treating people like garbage. A good company is a company like, RIot Games, Arenanet is not a good company.
I strongly encourage you to contact Support to ask about a refund rather than submitting a “charge back” on your credit card. We will work with you on the matter of a refund. Please note that getting a refund or doing a charge back can have long-term consequences on your account. I advise that you learn about that before starting the process, although of course you are welcome to do as you choose.

No change for me, still getting 12-20 FPS no matter where or what settings I have going.
You need a better CPU. This game is really CPU intensive and even high-end quads with good OC’s (4.5+ GHZ) can have issues.
Then that isn’t his computers fault, it’s the game. Seriously, I can overclock my 8129 to 4.1 and not get over 12 FPS anywhere. That is a problem with the games design.
I even put off doing a refund because I was so sure the issue was close to resolution, please I just need one more response detailing what they said in the previous post, so I can see if there is something I can do about it or not.

Actually original psoter is right, from his hardware his FPS might not be great, and he would need lower settings, but he should at least be getting 20-40 FPS region on lowest and a low resolution. Not “6”
I know people with weaker hardware running the game on lowest at a solid FPS.
Yup, everyone has this problem. If support would pick some tickets and follow through, rather than request information, wait a week, request information, wait a week….etc…
There would be a fix already.
Yeah there have been some problems with this. If they don’t get it resolved soon, they are going to lose their rights to sell anything through paypal…
I have another ticket that hasn’t been answered in weeks btw, but I would prefer getting this one done because we are about to identify what is causing lag on a lot of these machines…

I would just like to get the final push done, this ticket has been open since 08/25/2012
and I waited patiently providing information, waiting a few days, providing requested information, waiting a few days, etc…
However they think they may be very close to identifying the cause of the problem, as it’s part of the ever growing “I exceed specs but I am lagging” issue. At this point, I just feel the issue is almost resolved, and would just like to get things wrapped up this weekend if possible…
Once again I’m having the same GPU issues as almost everyone else posting about lag, and the issue is almost resolved, I would really like to see this through….

All he can do is wait the 12 days or so it takes for support to get back to him. That first post will probably for information, clarification, etc….and then another 12-15 days, and he will be able to log in again hopefully.

Your not the only one. When you go to ask for a refund they go “Wait! If its an FPS issue, try these things!” So they must be getting a lot of them lol.
Mine has been open 10 days, the other since August 25th.
You may as well just find another game to play in the meantime man, check back once a day for a few weeks.
Another day has passed, at this point between this and my other issues, NONE hace been resolved despite being opened since before launch.
They are not going to be responding. I think I’m going to just push for my money back instead.

I messed up, put the retail code on the wrong account on launch day, mostly because the website glitched out. Have had a ticket open, it hasn’t been responded too since the incident. I know your busy, I know there are delays, but a week is just too long of a wait, I feel I’ve been patient long enough I can ask for a response now.
(I even support hacked accounts getting priority, but not everyone else has to wait 1-2 weeks type of priority o.o )
I’ve been posting information, providing answers non stop about system spec, issues, etc on forums and in other tickets. I have never once had a resolution. I’ve had tickets open since pre launch.

Yeah, why they only have this slowkitten ticket support and nothing else is well beyond me.
So far the GW2 launch failure has lead to people dropping votes for the next “Worst support of all time”, maybe Arena net Will be on the list this time, usually things don’t sell to well when they get this “award”

As someone who was not hacked, I can say I support that choice to a degree. I mean, they want to get these accounts back to their proper owners BEFORE any real damage is dealt. Also, they had things taken from them, it might have been even arena net that was compromised, not them. I think your just frustrated at the slow ticket times like the rest of us.
I agree on giving hacked accounts primary focus tbh, and mine wasn’t hacked. But I think a 7 day turn around time is absolutely unacceptable.
Agents are involved with all types of issues. Hacked accounts are a priority, but they are not the only focus.
Your ticket is one day old. Please understand that it will be necessary to ask for understanding while the team staffs up, gets trained, and tackles issues that preceded yours.
His might be one day old, but your turn around time for responses on non hacked accounts is 7 days at the moment, longer if it lands on a weekend. You don’t think that is a bit ridiculous? I’m tired of being the one being told to be patient, when I don’t think there is anything I’m being patient for. I bought the game, you won’t help most of us play it. I don’t know what else to say, I’m sorry, maybe there is a lot going on I don’t see, but I see the effect, and no one likes it.

I mean you just basically hinted you are not doing jack with these tickets until after all the hacking ones are cleared out. I have nothing nice to say to you, so I’m stopping with that.
All I can say is that atm I use 8120 8 Core, I get 60 FPS maxing out Battlefield 3, Team Fortress 2, Witcher 2…..but I only get about 12 fps in Guild Wars 2
I just wanted to thank you ashley, I’m not having this trouble myself, but we need more pro active support posts. There are a lot of people who need answers, and no one is really getting them, so it makes me happy to see posts from someone who is genuinely trying to help.

One thing I would like to note, however, is of the many causes for low performance for players with high end graphics cards is that their PCi-Express GPU is plugged into a 1x|4x slot rather than a 16x slot. For players who have recently upgraded their video cards, we recommend ensuring that the GPU is plugged into the proper PCi-Express slot for maximum performance.
Not the case over here, but I love things like this, makes me think something is actually being done. Please, fire more of these posts out.
A mod will come along and merge it most likely, don’t worry about it.
Same problem man, not much we can do but wait, hopefully they have a patch out in a month or so.
So I have a radeon 6850 card, and I get terrible lag in Guild Wars 2, so do a lot of other people. But there are also people that seem to be getting 60-100 FPS no problem with this card.
I started looking into what was different, and most people that are having these issues have 4-8 core processors, like AMD FX 8120 and such.
Not sure what to make of this myself, but I thought I would try and help by putting this out there. Hopefully I can play the game sometime within the month…

I’ve had two tickets on two separate issues open for a week, and so far I’m thinking they have the worst support on the planet. What all did you do that you believe helped? I tried keeping only them open, updated, etc….

Thank you for your response, unfortunately that has not had any impact for me, I’ve tried updating all my drivers, and my FPS isn’t fluxuating, it usually remains low under 20 and above 12.
July 31st? You sure about that date?…..
Well if they told me I was out of luck, I would just start a new character on this account, I wouldn’t be THAT far behind, maybe like a few days an a couple good names behind, but I would live.
I’m mostly just trying to obtain resolution, or even a response at all. I am sorry yours didn’t go so well tbh.
Other people have gotten a response, I would really appreciate some help too. I won’t turn down any request for information either, please…I’m begging you…

Thanks for the responses you guys, if only I could get some from support like that. But we have gone through all the standard things, drivers and such, so far there seems to be no identifiable cause for the lag.
Also, while some of you are running fine, there are numerous others having lag issues with the 6850 video card, you can find several on youtube right off the hop. It is definitely something hardware related, but it may not be directly tied to the video card.
In the ticket, even support has said after I gave them every piece of information they asked for, that they can’t see what is causing the lag.

8 GB DDR3 Ram

Just wanted to bring it to your attention in hopes that this could be forwarded to your developer department, as this video card has yet to be optimized into the game/ So far I’ve done Q and A with support, and they pretty much show the same thing. Would just like to pass this information on, I am not looking to get the ticket addressed any faster, I can wait on that, I mean either way it will take time to fix the client to support the video card.
