After we have wiped the other two enemy colours a few times, they generally rage quit then my team colour dominates the entire map at which point we change into a different overflow and repeat the process. Funniest thing is, we are only a small group of 5 players. And yeah, we do get the occasional PM from a crying karma trainer (sometimes even from our own team) because we messed up their train. LOL.

EotM is not WvW proper. Why is it on the WvW tab? Because it’s related to it more than to PvP or PvE. Just like Obsidian Sanctum is, and that is not WvW proper, either. Think a bit before posting, will you?

People karma train in EotM because it is rewarding and anything else is pointless. This was intended as such because it removes players from other, more important, areas where they were damaging the game (Queensdale champ trains being bad for new players and WvW farmers and uplevels being extremly bad for WvW).

If you and your guild participate/lead defense activities in EotM, then I am sorry, but everyone who is whispering you telling you all sorts of nasty stuff is right. Not to mention that beating up cripples (aka uplevels, like most ktrainers are) is not only not worth bragging about, but quite shameful. It also teaches you nothing. You think it will be the same when doing WvW proper against serious opponents? Man, I would want to see the look on your face when you and your heroic guild go there with this attitude.)

On a side note, if you do not care for PvE and want to level faster, either do PvP for some loot and the Tomes of Knowledge (one level each) from the tracks, or (oh, the irony!) do EotM karmatrain for quick levels and WXP. But could you do the latter? I mean, doesn’t it fall short of your “code”?…

I’m not a huge fan of the new schedule. It feels like going back to school all over again with strict timetables. Aside from that, I used to be able to do Teq almost every day if I had the time but now I can’t because the times are really awkward since I’m based in EU. Please at least double the spawn of those world bosses to 6 times a day so players of all timezones can participate. Thank you.

Agreed 100%. My charr is a huge monster in the character select screen and looks very unappealing. Reminds me of the huge dolphin when you open the Hero panel during underwater fractal.

Are you by chance talking about the +20% Confusion Duration? Cos they took +5% from the (2) bonus so it ends up the same anyway.

I don’t think you’re unlucky. That’s probably average, I would say. I’ve got 4000 hours of playtime and no precursor drops and I know plenty of people who clock in around the same amount and have no fancy loot either. Unlucky would be dropping 2000 gold into the mystic forge and got no precursor. And it probably has happened to someone out there, RNG being what it is.

That’s incorrect. You are lacking some reading comprehension. Gear unification means skins achieved through PvE can be used in PvP and vice versa.

PvP Reward Track allows players to play PvP to acquire PvE dungeon rewards. As a PvE player, it doesn’t affect you because you have been acquiring those same rewards via PvE the entire time. All ArenaNet did is to make those same rewards accessible via both PvE and PvP now. Now do you understand?

Funny how most of the responses are that not everyone or every server should get a Mistforged Weapon so quickly. You know what, why not make it more exclusive? 300 tickets for the top server of each league and 200 tickets and decreasing for the rest of the league. Not sure what the problem is here. Use your discretion to decide when you should get on siege and when you shouldn’t. It’s not hard to figure out that getting on a ram without mastery is only gonna slow your group down from taking the objective and maybe even let the enemy come wipe you. As a matter of fact, I have encountered plenty of people manning siege asking in chat for people with the right mastery to take over. You just gotta know when and how to be helpful in each situation.

what’s really sad is that nothing in this game is sacred. there are no rare weapons that nobody can get, and it will continue to be that way. so what if your server doesn’t get a mistforged weapon? why even have them cost anything at all if everyone gets one so they can feel good about themselves. this is everything that’s wrong with gw2.

You speak as though it takes skill to acquire these skins. No, it does not. It requires 1800 gems or whatever the costs are now. Tying rewards to your server is not the way to go about this.

You can count on one hand, the amount of situations where 1500 range actually gives an advantage. Trading hits between the invulnerable ledges in Obsidian Sanctum is extremely boring, but more power to you if that’s what you like to do though.

Uhm, unless I am reading it wrong EVERYONE will be able to get at least 2 mistforged weapons even if your server places last.

100 tickets for the hero weapon and 250 badges for the gift and some gold will make a mistforged weapon, so even if you place last and only get 200 tickets you will still be able to make 2 if you want to.

You need 200 tickets AND 250 badges for the gift of heroes.

If you want to get one weapon within one season, your server needs to place 5th and above. Personally, I don’t agree with the rewards. As mentioned before, everyone fights hard regardless of server. Last placed servers should be given the bare minimum of 300 tickets at least while maybe offering the top 3 servers enough tickets to get two weapons within one season.

So something like:
1st 700
2nd 650
3rd 600
4th 550
5th 500
6th 450
7th 400
8th 350
9th 300

I don’t know though, maybe they did this intentionally so not everyone would get a weapon after one season. Exclusivity and all that, I suppose.

I kinda wish it was free to waypoint to any city kinda like map travel in GW1. Yes, I know you can do that whole Heart of the Mists to LA to other cities for free, but multiple loading screens is incredibly mind-numbing that I actually pay the cost rather than using the free method.

Sadly, you can’t salvage Karma armour.

Don’t try to go in alone or you’re gonna have a bad time. I usually jump with one or two friends and we never attack other players first because (1) it slows our jumping progress considerably which then leads to (2) getting ganked by a larger group. Unfortunately, lots of players think they can get free kills from us which they soon regret.

I don’t know about best but I’m a mesmer and I personally like to roam with another mesmer or a thief.

Bob buys two PS3s for $599. A few months later, his time frame for refund has expired. They announce that anyone who buys a PS3 for $599 will get an extra for free. Joe buys a PS3 for $599 and gets an extra.

Bob can certainly get annoyed, disappointed, etc. etc. But is he entitled to a refund?

Except in this case, the free PS3 is actually a PS3 casing you can put it on a PS1 or an Xbox or whatever.

Essentially, what some people are complaining about is the fact that you can’t tell the difference between a player with “true” dual legendary from the player who just copied it to his off-hand.

I trust ArenaNet will make the right decision and stick to having legendary skins in the wardrobe. It’s far more elegant to introduce an overwhelmingly positive change and come up with a solution for the 0.1% of negatively affected players, than to completely scrap the idea. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who would rather see the latter happen for very selfish reasons as displayed by their comments in this thread.

^ this pretty much. the pugs and smaller guild groups held down home bl so well during reset vlk resorted to tonic races out of boredom. i’ve spent the week roaming & looking for duels because everything else is just a huge karma train. at 7’ish pm server time these were our queues at reset … and we haven’t even hit the season start & have had at least two 300+ person guilds transfer since, not counting any solo/small team/roamers.

I’m just going to add something different to this back and forth discussion. I have a Bifrost on my mesmer. I also have an ele, a necro and a guardian. That’s all well and good as now I can equip all of them with Bifrosts. No complaints from my end.

What I do want to point out though, is just because I have the option, doesn’t mean I’m going to deck all my characters in legendaries and build around that. Bifrost would look ridiculous on my necro as I dressed her in a dark theme and a Scythe or Sunless staff is much more fitting. My elementalist is a d/d user and I won’t change to a staff ele just to show off I have a Bifrost. I do use staff occasionally on my guardian so yeah I could equip her.

Again, this is NOT a complaint post. I’m very happy and excited for this change for the entire playerbase. Just trying to offer a point of view from a player like myself and that Tyria is not suddenly going to be flooded with legendaries if there are people like me out there.

You are expecting hundreds of players to get weapons back that they will have no reason NOT to sell and the market to not fall apart? Hundreds of these hit the TP all once, and there are not enough people buying legendaries straight up to compensate. The market would be ruined for months.

TL;DR – un-binding is not a solution. Think of the markets.

You must be joking. Players aren’t sitting on stacks of duplicate legendaries. The market would see a transient increase in supply but it will not be ruined, much less for months.

Hi, from this point onwards, if you want to reply, please understand the topic of this thread. The original title was changed, but if you want to know the problem here, it is to the people who have duplicate legendaries and felt the wardrobe system is unfair.

If you want to comment on the BiS system, please DO NOT. We are talking about one legendary holders having unlimited amounts of that skin. Therefore making one incinerator holder appear to have two, while original dual incinerator holders feel like their second incinerator (obviously made for looks) is devalued as they worked much harder for the second.

If you are a person with one or no legendaries, please refrain from bashing people with multiple legendaries. If you have only one legendary of each type, great, but us duplicate holders feel that it shouldn’t be an unfair approach towards this when one incinerator holder can wield two of the same skin.

Would you be satisfied if ArenaNet offered compensation? For example unbinding one of your incinerators so you get the option to either resell it or reequip it if you like the stat-change option?

If not, offer a suggestion as to what would make you (or any duplicate legendary owner) happy.

ArenaNet, keep in mind that the vast majority of players stand to benefit from this change to legendaries and you should keep it as it is. Provide compensation for duplicates (unbind all but one like the upcoming dye change). Under no circumstances should you exclude legendaries from the wardrobe.

If HoD can truly queue 3 maps in primetime and isn’t completely steamrolling CD or NSP, then I can only surmise that T5 servers have become the new T3 servers. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think IoJ or SBI have 3 map queues during their primetime. Hell, I doubt even FA has that. It’s very likely that the HoD bandwagon consists of more exaggeration than actual players.

Adding a new race would be awesome. A new starter area, a couple of new zones, it would be exciting. For a month or two, maybe, then it becomes the norm and everyone gets bored again. It’s good for flavour purposes but very light on content.

Adding a new class could possible be a balancing nightmare. As it is, the current classes aren’t even balanced properly yet (it’s very warrior-centric at the moment and has been for quite a while).

Personally, I’d like to see more weapons for each class. GS necro, P/P mesmer, oh I can only dream…
