I invest in Black Lion skins. If they do this, then I will lose thousands of gold. There are many people who also invest in Black Lion skins. I don’t think it would be a good idea to cause many people to lose gold just so other people can make more gold.

To better express my point, let’s say I spend $100 on gems which I then use to purchase Black Lion keys. I use those keys to open chests, and I get several tickets. I then spend those tickets on several skins that I keep in my bank, in hopes that they will go up in value, as most Black Lion skins do. After a little while, you come along and suggests that the items, for which I paid real money, should be available to you by other means, so that you will have an enhanced game experience. Now let’s assume that you have never purchased any gems. Your idea effectively enhances the game for people who have potentially spent less to enjoy the game, while simultaneously causes others, who have most likely spent more to enjoy the game, to suffer a loss.

Black Lion skins should hold their value, or people will be more hesitant to buy them, and as a result, people will be more hesitant to buy keys.

This held true for the major part while we didn’t have a proper way to farm Keys. At the moment it is possible to get every 25 minutes, provided you are a decent player.

Also you should consider the fact that many people left the game with skins in their banks as a way to get starting cash when they came back. Well all of these came back for HoT and many skins have already seen their prices going down.

The only few skins that retain value are those that never got re-released, but if someone who has them comes back tomorrow, he can drive the price down, just like a re-release can.

I’m just gonna add to the whole point of the rewards with one more insight.

Right now, the encounters are still new and people wil lstill play them past their weekly clear so as to practice. The positive outcome for that is that they will probably raid will more people, and as such share the knowledge, tactics etc…

But as time will go, people won’t run more than their weekly reset run. They will maybe suicide a few times at bosses to cap their magnetite shards but I don’t see them redoing clears when they already have nearly perfect clears down. The result is that the community will feel even more fragmented, with nobody wanting to rerun to help others.

The thing about games nowadays is that there needs to be a reward for players to keep playing it. Especially in MMO and even more in the ones that have a clear focus on fashion like Guild Wars 2. Without rewards, you don’t play the content. Without proper (as in boosted) raid rewards, people won’t play it outside of their reset run.

It’s as simple as that.

Maybe you could have used that minute to ponder whether or not there was any interest in posting such a rant on the forums.

If RAIDs aren’t MORE profitable than dungeons USED to be – I will likely be leaving this game… Forever. There’s NO way I’m sticking around a game where they leave dungeons as profitable as they did, for as long as they did (read: allow SOME players to get filthy rich off it) – to have them turn around and literally f*** us who didn’t. Because if I wanted to be one of those “dungeon [gold] farmers” – now I can’t even if I wanted to. Quite simply, this isn’t fair, given they’ve allowed other players to do so – AND for so long! Don’t want to be fair ANET, that’s fine – I’ll find another company who actually cares about ALL of their customers! I’m surely not going to stick around where a company’s stance is “well, we allowed players AB and C to ‘gold farm’ @ high rates for over 2 years, but we’re gonna change it up now, so players DE and F cannot do the same”.

As others have said, “there is no real good way” any longer to “gather gold”. I hope, for your sake ANET, that you’ve made these pending RAIDs REALLY lucrative!

Goodbye man, remember to send me your gold :p On a more serious note, as Nike pointed out, dungeon runners have less gold than before, but casuals farming open world have more. The rewards have finally been evened out (except for WvW), which in itself is very good as we can now stop worrying about gold per hour and simply focus on what content we love doing. Which for me translates into drinking coffee and looking at the TP GUI.

Gathering mats is cheap. You are farming 10s per node at max (on good nodes and those are rare) , that IS cheap. t5 rares are still valuable and fractals drop mostly those, although normal t5 is 1-2s each so it isn’t worthless for sure. If u give me gold per hour research on a repeatable node route then maybe i can reconsider this being a thing but for now it is just a fun, casual way of earning few gold that doesn’t involve any group. But if we are talking about getting some serious gold, running some funny nodes isn’t even a thing.

Gathered mats are between 2-3s a piece. t5 fine materials are at copper value. I don’t even see how you can argue, especially for the fact that you can reliably get 150+ iron and 150+ platinum ore in less than 25 minutes. But don’t mind me, I’m pretty happy that you’re farming t5 materials, makes them cheaper for me

You’re lying, I’m sure you bought gems and exchanged these for money, there’s no way you can get a legendary in a week that way and that’s not playing…

Anyone with a decent amount of motivation can make ridiculous amounts per hour. I remember my first of trading as being the best of my life : started with 200g, got to 2K and made a Sunrise. A month after I reiterated, made 2K gold again, made Twilight.

It’s not hard if you really know what you’re doing and you don’t need to spend a dime on gems, although I occasionally do it when ArenaNet releases something I like as my way to support the game.

Playing the TP is playing the game, just more efficiently. An hour of TP a day and then you never need gold again and can sincerely enjoy the game without always being worried about your gold per hour

Tuesday is always patch day and there they announced “nearly two weeks of content”.

Also a reddit post announced Halloween ended on Nov 4th, based on the fact that the banner of the gemstore changed (aka game patch). You could also have looked at the time limit on the Halloween related gemstore items.

Hey guys, I made a reddit post over here for the reshade users who want to use it in the new 64-bit client. It avoids going through a complete reinstallation which is a pain with the unlocker.

All you have to do is copy the reshade files from your 32-bit bin folder into the bin64 folder. Then you delete d3d9.dll and d3d9.log.

Then grab the Reshade64.dll from the framework archive, rename it to d3d9.dll and paste it into the bin64 folder.

It has been the same way for three years now. The Halloween vendors disappear on the last day and ArenaNet actually warned us it was the last day. Not refining your materials was your choice.

You can still vendor them, not that much of a loss tbh.

With SC we just did a split : guard + me as ele on one side, engie + other ele on other side & continuous pulling. Warrior and guard ran the hammer between seals.

You can actually use your essences of luck to make the Ram backpack (exotic version). You get about 70s for a stack of masterwork essences of luck

Welp, as Jerus said I got individual temp banned for 72 hours twice, everytime at the cost of some posting privileges.

I made videos to show what happened and it was both times Chris Cleary, who is still my favourite dev that took care of them.

However my last ticket on griefing in dungeons was met with an automated “WvW griefing” answer, hence me not really believing in Support anymore xD

I would be more hyped if the Scepter/LH build was buffed to get damage on par with Staff Ele :’)

Otherwise this is just another nerf that will make stuff longer and make me stop pugging on ele as I won’t save pugs anymore :/

Just believe in the LB/Staff ranger to carry you through raids :>

Quickfoot, I have been summoned here upon hearing the words “instance”, “selling” and “griefing”.

While there are no direct solutions to your problems, here’s what I usually do :
- submit a support ticket hoping I get a decent GM (and not this one).
- send a personal message to Chris Cleary (head of security) with my evidence attached.
- make a youtube video and dedicated topic to flame the guys on forums. This attracts moderator/gm attention and will get you an infraction on the forums but might get them banned. It’s called gambling.
- rewatch my older video where I serve justice to them griefers. It feels good

That’s it, I’m flying away now before I get infracted :p

It is still and blinds and aegises do remain your strongest assets when playing in an experienced groups.

Do not forget that you also have stability, reflects, swiftness for skips, blasts finishers, condition cleanse on a small recharge etc…

The problem with that, fracture, is that we might just get a bunch of people trolling the votes and I think we’d like to keep that to a minimum.

We’ve seen what people think of our community enough on nemekitten’s videos/the general discussion/every “destroy the zerk meta ANet kthxbye” topic. Also team GGGG made fun of the community in a livestreamed, widely advertised tournament.

Seeing these acts, I think it’s wise to keep the voting power to a minimum, though advertising our changes, and the fact that the rules are clear and adverse to exploits would be a nice touch added to the public image of the speedrunning community

The guy has been doing speedruns all along. What he’s trying to say isn’t : “I can play support and be fast” expecting yall to go “if you truly went lvl 80 and right gear it would be even faster”. What he’s showing is that the tactics and clever use of game mechanics matter more than just slapping berserker gear on :/

I’m also ok with restricting the access to this poll to guilds that have shown interest in the past or recently in record runs, and that do maintain the truly competitive mindset. What I call truly competitive mindset is people that will try to design new tatics and will strive to beat the current records. If it’s posting just to have a record time, we might as well just drop it all. Records should have meaning : either they beat the previous one, or due to a major rollback, they set a particularly good record, albeit not being all-time.

This way, troll entries like GGGG can’t vote, while guilds that went kiiiiiiinda retirement mode like rT have votes to cast

2) You can submit a report ticket about being griefed in your run. There’s a 99.9% chance they’ll send you the automated “we’re looking into WvW griefing” answer.

3) You can try to send a message to our Lord and Saviour Chris Cleary, because he does take action against dem griefers yo.

To be fair, after trying out all game modes, I can only say I’m amazed at both the diversity and the absence of it. Playing in WvW/PvP allowed me to try out a lot of stuff that are very different from the PvE I do on a daily basis and that was very enjoyable. However, I find that to be really competitive, or to win so to speak, I need to play something that is really set in stone. I need to play something that is a little OP, or I won’t be able to carry anything/anyone.

What I mean is that their is far more diversity and being viable is actually enough, but to win I can’t go full snowflake :’(

If someone finds you, which isn’t the hardest thing ever, you can be sure the only free thing you’ll get is a ticket to tempbanland :/

Happened to us today. We were selling Arah ez pz swaggerony, then suddenly, our last buyer is like “Boiz plz can’t join, world is full”.

Then I look back at the logs. Weirdly, I got P2 end dialogue while doing P1 mmh… Then second weird thing : a guy who never popped in our party was written as —-——— left the instance. Interesting again.

So I did what all sound people would do : I threatened in map chat. No answer. So we finished the path with one buyer. Then, before triggering end reward, we split to find the guy. He stood at the spiders at the beginning, completely hidden if you were at spawn. Outside of party.

Got his name, account name and I even know how he did it. It’s lame.

I want the Fractal Axe. But it’s not coming to me :/

The game does let you make huge amount of money outside of the TP.

Exploit = reflecting with the Rifle.

Other than that the projectiles are indeed absorbed.

I’m actually considering the effect of missile deflection. Since you can easily get a projectile every 3s, could it get worth the loss of berserker’s power (not sure bout trait name) somehow ?

Information wise, my last try on 45203 gave 16K crit reflects.

If it’s the same as last year a way to fix it is to move your computer’s clock back to 31/03 or up to 02/04.

Everyone could do it pretty much with a bit of research. But the risk involved scared people off. I don’t see it any other way.
