We are a medium sized (about 30 members) guild on Desolation. Please see our recruitment post for more information. Once you get used to the guild and our members there are always possibilities to get more involved if there is a desire.
We happen to have someone with aspergers in our guild (next to all the other awesome members). We would only require you to use mumble (our choice of voice software) for listening during guild events. We will never require for you to speak. You can happily ignore us while gaming or sign up for guild events when you feel like participating. There is no obligation to join them, yet you can simply sign up when you feel like joining. We are on Desolation and do want all our members to be on that homeworld. Would this be a problem for you? What homeworld are you on? In case you are on a different homeworld we can offer you a trial to try us out before you would consider a transfer. But the previous guild sounds nice too, so maybe that is an easier option for you. Just wanted to provide you with an extra option.

We are on Desolation and do require our members to be on there as we want to keep our guild together and do WvW guild missions at times (and we are small). However, we do not mind to invite you into the guild to try us out before you decide on a transfer.

I don’t agree that small guilds just bring a chat channel. It heavily depends on how you run the small guild or the numbers you have in mind when you mention small. I consider our guild quite small (25-ish), yet we have a lvl 27 guild hall and do raids. And people love the fact that everyone knows eachother. In a large guild all of us would feel lost and that is the reason why we pick this kind of guild.
I think that everyone agrees though that running a guild takes time. And it does not scale with the size of your guild. A small guild also takes a lot of time to run as you have to do more yourself and less officers. Recruiting simply takes time.
We are a guild that is on the second train. We did not kill the Vale Guardian yet, as we go with the more casual approach of play what you want (we do bring a healer and tank obviously, but for our members) and we are very willing to teach new members. I cannot believe we are the only guild out there like that. If you happen to be on Desolation give me a shout, otherwise look for some smaller/medium sized guilds that are not too visible in the game.
What homeworld are you on? If on Desolation you could consider us. We are not that large with roughly 25-30 members. However we are PvE focused and beginner friendly. We don’t mind explaining content to new players and having fun while learning it. We raid twice a week (Thursday and Sunday), but struggle to keep the roster strong enough at the moment to support that all the time. We do want our members to be on Desolation though, as we jump into WvW every now and then for guild missions.

Hello GhostSabre, if you send me a message in game I can give you the details of a friend of mine. If I remember correctly he runs a WvW guild on Desolation. He used to be in our guild, but we have low focus on WvW so he is now running his own guild.
Our guild, Modern Family, is looking for a few extra members. We are a stable international European guild that has been around for many years and since beta in GW2. Our main focus is PvE. As we are a medium sized guild (typically between 25 to 30 members) we do require that you represent us and that you have Desolation as your homeworld. Those requirements are in place as we aim to have a medium sized guild where people know each other and that we are able to jump into WvW together at times, without having us all split up between different maps.
Currently we are looking for fun members and it would be great if they also want to raid. We have enough members for raiding, but the roster is a bit slim.

We are a mature international European guild with no drama. The guild has been around for many years in different forms starting in WoW and moving to Rift to find our home in GW2 for now. We have been around since first public beta. We still have some of the original members with us, but also a lot who only joined us in GW2.
We are quite small with a roster of about 30 members at the moment. Slightly inactive while we wait for the new content. We aim to keep a roster of 30-40 members so people actually know each other while still having the numbers to play the content.

We had the privilege of inviting a new member into the guild yesterday. We are still looking for more members to have fun with and to prepare for Heart of Thorns.
We are looking to increase our roster to prepare for Heart of Thorns and have fun together with new members. We have been around from the start and before that we played other games, so the guild is already many years old. Some people in the guild have been there from the start where others joined more recently. If you are looking for a friendly guild that likes to do things together, then please consider us.
We, Modern Family, are an international mature guild that plays on Desolation. Our main focus is on PvE. However, only PvP is not organised within the guild. Still you might find players jumping in together at times.
We organise weekly WvW run (Monday), which at the moment only a few members are participating in and where we are hoping to increase amount of members joining again.
Then we do weekly guild missions on Tuesday and on Thursday we do dungeons and/or fractals.
Thanks for the interest. We aim to keep a WvW group going and therefore require our members to be on Desolation. If we make one exception, we have to make it for everyone and it would mean that our small WvW group would slowly bleed to death.
We keep looking for more fun members while we are preparing for the expansion. We can offer a guild that has been around for years that is stable and organised.
You might want to consider smaller guilds if you are looking to be included. Large guilds tend to have more cliques, not per se because the people in it are bad, but there are too many people to be social with all the time and cliques kinda form automatically.
We are a very easy going guild, but most of us have their characters at lvl 80. So the leveling part might be rather solo. We do not mind taking lower levels with us into WvW and dungeons (from lvl 30) during our guild events though. Please have a look and see if we offer what you are looking for: Modern Family
We had enough players again last night to be able to do guild puzzle once again. It was a blast and we had great fun. Looking for more members to complete group content with in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
We are on Desolation, but by the sounds of it not the right guild for you. Just wanted to drop a note that there are a few very active Russian guilds on our homeworld. The one that comes to mind is Unit Team[UNIT]. Maybe try googling or asking for them!
