Well i like outfits as they are just because i dont have to waste transmutation shards just to swap look and you can do it on fly, which makes them perfect for alts on which i dont intend to invest that much money/time.
Personally i had no issues with actual hero points as you get 10 from just one finished skill point in those new maps (as i generally love exploring and those new maps are interesting), but getting to them was rather annoying at times and more often those are blocked with masteries so that was only grind wall for me.
To OP this sounds more like rant about elitism and general ppl attitude in some moments then actual resons why expansion is no good or must have or what ever, but i’d say that you just had bad stroke of luck XD
Sure standards will go up coz of new stuff from expansion but really ranting about it is kinda pointless. Really don’t like using WoW as example but in there you get like 7 expansion to buy just to enjoy end game content + sub each month on top of it so yeah…
I had a good laugh when i saw that one but really you could afk on those boxes while spaming auto attack so yeah no wonder.
And yeah ranged option still works quite well its just that i cant any longer afk while spaming no1 XD
Who knows what sort of buffs will other classes get so i’d say its too early to talk about nerfs although i wouldn’t be surprised if some do happen.
Gravedigger nerf would probably trash GS usefulness as the whole weapon is based around gravedigger spam. Beside big numbers dont mean a thing if one blind/daze/ what ever can trash it especially with that long cast time (easy to dodge).
Yeah its shame that OP didnt get to taste first form of reaper and GS as it was quite crappy and ever since then they buffed up dmg and other stuff.
If they will not change the problem with damage scaling in shroud, depending on holding 1h or 2h weapon (even now shroud does more damage when you are holding staff instead of dagger/axe/scepter) the dagger will be effective only for dps out of shroud (no point in going reaper) or survivability with blood magic (more LF generated, more life siphoned).
Imo greatsword is superior due to its utility. Pull, blind, perma 12stacks of vulnerability, gravedigger spam… it is also more interesting than just standing still, spamming aa with locust swarm around you.
I’d say its opposite, pull or no5 is the most useless skill on greatsword coz of range/usually buggines of pull…
Vulnerability stacks are nice but in group you can stack it quite easy so i’d say if you pick greatsword its mostly for greavedigger spam, while dagger can be paired up with focus(boon rip) warhorn(loctus+daze) or dagger (condition transfer weaknes) so its far more flexible weapon.
Probably ain’t gona happen, if it didn’t happen till now really doubt they would invest money and time to port 3 year old game to console and go trough all wonders of cross-platform b&s.
I guess its matter of taste personally i find Elder scrolls games not worth to play on console as you get so to say half a game without mods.
Same thing for controller i guess, some like it some hate it with passion and would play with mouse and keyboard even on console (like me) XD
Had never issue with playing stuff on TV so either your TV sucks or your grafic card or you just lack knowledge to make it worth right.
I think it have more to do with frames and linking those to animations so not sure.
The way i see it getting animation right gave them quite headache so they decided to just dump ‘working’ version instead of appealing one.
Rather then trying to fit existing animations i’d say it would be far easier to make new one XD
Something with proper 2x cuts instead of this ‘Am i holding this weapon right’ animation.
Decimate Defenses would be just too strong it would mean prema crit for whole party even with 25% for other pt members.
Close to Death – Lot of classes already have their version of Close to Death so dont see that one happening.
Barbed Precision – Same thing some classes have similar trait to this one.
Spiteful Renewal i dunno maybe if they made it similar to Blood Bond but ICD would probably get hit in that case and trigger is 25%hp things die rather fast once they drop below 25%hp so its kinda pointless.
Target the Weak – Maybe if condition dmg was shared but i get feeling it would become fixed amount instead of %.
Parasitic Contagio – We already have one shared Vamp trait so i’d say why now but once again i get feeling this would get nerfed then.
Cold Shoulder/Putrid Defense – Other classes got similar thing but then again if its shared to whole party it makes it what chill/poison + weaknes, its basically the same thing the only thing that i wonder in those is if they stack togather for necro.
TBH if its just leveling then your goal is to hit that magical number 80 and considering how you get stronger just with leveling (stats attached to level instead of talent tree)…
Anything will work really.
How ever conditions are poor choice for leveling this is extremely obvious on necro so i’d say avoid scepter, axe got some buffs but its still just filler weapon when your other stuff is on cooldown or if you need bit of range (dagger main hand case).
So yeah dagger/staff is still more or less the thing.
As for trees them self i’d say that spite is the most useful one and if its really minion build blood ain’t bad with all that leeching(and extra dmg from leeching), death is so-so but i’d suggest to try that one once you hit l80.
And Signet of loctus as most useful skill for leveling its one of first things that anyone should get and slot.

Greatsword feels lot better now got no real complains about it (regarding what type of weapon it supposed to be) but there is still something missing to me, maybe i’m just spoiled with warrior GS, but i just dislike lack of proper targeting and always depending on having a target as otherwise is way too easy to miss and there is lot of guessing.
Actually i do have one complaint regarding GS no5. it is still unreliable but somehow i doubt it will ever be better just like every other ‘pull’ skill, i’ll just call it engine limitation.
I was actually using shouts now YAAW – great now but kinda low duration on that might , NCSY / Suffer seems rather similar but still lack that something also too bad that there is no stun break on them as well XD
And Rise kinda blows. I mean they do fine as distraction but they are melee and will often get wiped to clave so you will rarely get their active effect while in pvp they suffer from clasic minion AI. Considering that you can’t directly control them they would do lot better if they had ranged attack, maybe not 1200 range but 600 or 800.
CTTB sure could use stun break in there(if you compare its effect to cd and other elite skills) or even more reduced CD.
R Shroud feels much better now especially no2 although that one still tends to act like wild horse from time to time but luckly those are rare now.
No3 is fine really but guess i’m just used to it being instant fear so cast on it feels kinda odd.
But there is still this i wont say synergy but dependency on SR trait line just for shroud degen.
Reaper traits – well changes ware nice and i see that life leech is supposed to be necro thing but its kinda pointless on Agury of death and Soul eater. Shouts hardly do that much dmg even with this extra life leech not like you will slot them for their dmg component in first place, but healing from it is hardly noticeable.
Same thing with greatsword one. Sure the global 20% prema cd reduction is good (but in reality only useful for GS no4/5) but this version of life leech is even worse from previous one.

Selling runs was one of main incomes in gw1 as i remember beside banning them wouldn’t help much really. If you had no reason to run those dungeons you just wouldn’t do them and those that just want to rush trough them with 0 effort would probably find some other way to get over it.
Yeah it sure sux if you get asked for cash just to recieve some basic help but this is just saying a lot about person trying to sell you his ‘service’ as i personally didn’t ever cash in my help. So what to do in that case, well most easily ignore that person get some guild ask a friend or make friends XD
Well i sure saw this one coming only surprise is that it didn’t happen sooner. I mean they could have do that from start instead of adding all those limits and requirements to story missions XD
Its even better this way at least now i can finally use that char slot for additional bank char instead of boring mindless farming of which i was slowly getting sick.
Just that because there is no fighting while gliding it is better then what ever underwater .
Underwater combat is way more restrictive then ground one as you are limited with skills/weapon sets and because of that even traits so yeah it can even break builds.
Z axis adds more trouble then fun (at least in combat) so you could say thats main problem…
I doubt that gs5 will ever be trully fixed just like spectral grasp still tends to bug out, over all pulls in gw2 probably the worse type of gap closers.
Can only hope for some change.
Also i dont belive it would really break balance if we had one decent teleport or something like warrior dash on our greatsword maybe not with that range…
I would really love if it was OP but its far from it as it still have rather poor stability/stun break and gap closers. That leap is way too buggy for that and while no3 stability is nice to have it gets off rather fast. I’d say that some skill could still use boost XD
You can still get rather easy chain stunned while in shroud not to mention how hard is to catch up with someone once he get some distance.
You want to kill reaper well you dont face tank its dmg abuse stealth, block and create distance once you see it popping into shroud.
My only issue with that skill was how hard is sometimes to hit even one target given its narow hit box well its better this time around but i would still love if it was like warrior GS skill where you can skill shot stuff instead of depending on target.
Beside that LF generation is quite nice once things line up and Vuln is always nice to have especially with that trait(vuln to crit one) as its quite easy to solo stack up 25% Vuln even without any trait or signet investment.
My experiance was similar considering pve atleast, you either take more defensive gear and slot offensive traits of more offensive gear and slot support traits.
Personally with cavalier/valkyrie i tend to poke arund stuff to get lifeforce and then swap to shroud for dmg while i had no that sort of issue with zerk so i guess it depends on your playstyle?
Dhuumfire actually isnt bad now since it triggers on every hit of shroud AA and not just final.
Only problem that i have is, i wont say synergy of Reaper and SR but rather junkie dependency on it.
I think the answer on this quesion is quite obvious: coz it would require rebalace of most summons.
But otherwise i doubt it would help much as i had no issue with minion auto attack most of time but with their active skill, considering that they will always be ‘rooted’ in place while doing their auto attack and there is cast delay as well so getting everything in right place is kinda tricky sometime.
Even if they add clave you would still have to deal with their root in place and animation length so rather then clave it would make more sense to increase range of auto attack or simply animation speed.
Beside most summons are decent while soling pve as they do their job of soaking dmg quite well.
Cant even remember when was last time when i actually had real mm build but most necros are doing just fine without minions so i doubt something like that is high on their to do list.
Well its nice that they are doing something and stuff but i’m not sure if/how i missed it but i swear warhorn sounds different now.
Diffrent would be probably too weak discription as my game was mostly muted so can you imagine the shock that took over me when i got impression that my char has farted rather hard but no it was just warhorn no5…
Same here dont see the reason for all this doom and gloom f2p accounts are rather limited and even if you could exploit broker to ‘boost’ your alt in such way, well those things are easy to track and ban both account in process.
But it will sure help gold sellers they dont care about limits as long some crap is getting spammed and not like its hard to level in gw2. Guess i have to get rdy to wastly extend my block list.
The only way those will effect ecconomy is by dropping price of lower tier mats as those will probably be good source of income for some which in turn might drop price of ascended mats but i dont see it happening at least not the ascended mats price drop.
So i’d say thats good thing.
And population boom should help with dungeons and escape from elitism if you have nerves to run with fresh ppl XD

Really doubt its gona happen. It would be nice if you could keep old shroud as well for more flexibilty but yeah…
Not to mention that they would probably have to link both shroud cooldowns, skills included otherwise it would make it easy to abuse especially with trait that lowers shroud CD.
Like pop normal shroud fire 5 then 4 drop 3 just for giggles coz its instant then just exit and after 5 sec you have another fear + stablity with nice stun and solid aoe dmg
Hmm that skill felt bugged to me but i never did consider that it is similar to dark path teleport/lag wich is weird considering its range.
Not sure what you mean with camera view point i’m using keyboard + mouse and never had issues targeting stuff can see the problem if you are clicking but then again you can always just click on something to fire it in right direction.

Kinda agree gravedigger doesn’t need dmg increase but rather some range boost (240 units would be enough) and reduced cast time as it is now there is no advantage of using gravedigger instead of normal auto attack.
Grasping Darkness feels bugged with its pull but who knows…
And Death spiral + Nightfall could really use some range indicator like warrior GS skills

And that revenant sword skill looks kinda funny on them as it appears that they are frozen and blinking around.
Well some tweaking to their field would be really helpful but otherwise not that big deal
After testing greatsword bit more my impression improved by bit but only by a little bit it feels rather incomplete.
No4. feels like it lacks the range that tooltip says it have and considering the after cast i’d love that its ranged like wells considering how similar it is to well skills maybe not 900 range
No3. feels off in both animation and its effect i have hard time hitting more then 1 enemy in pve maybe if it had some range indication like when you cast certain GS skill on warrior
No2. just sux really cast time on pair with 2x auto attack with just about same dmg i mean what is the point, aoe?
Still on pair with aa only positive thing is combo finisher as i cant think of any whirl combo finisher on necro
No5. sound great on tooltip i mean poison + 600 range aoe pull well if it really worked like that it probably would be. Pull part is rather unreliable for some reason it does its job really bad as in stuff never gets pulled to me even when i make sure that there is nothing between me and my target.
Have to say got more or less same impression new shroud is nice including the animations XD
But we lost dark path and got something that can hardly be called ‘leap’ the projectile destruction is nice but it doesn’t help with necro already slow kitten mobility.
Greatsword really blows not sure if claw thing is supposed to pull stuff to you or conditions but don’t think i saw either one happening. Gravedigger is too slow i’d say dagger auto is far more efficient even if it hits 2 less targets.
As i expected dagger + warhorn is the thing to go with reaper shroud
Interesting stuff in here i only wonder how long will it take for them to change those horrible corruption changes. Those extra condition don’t bring anything new or needed to necro kitten nal as its been already said but instead bring another level of unneeded micromanagement with little to no benefits…
Tbh i never saw necro as class that have much use of of cele stats but i guess that stuff is decent on anything.
Same here was rater hyped about Reaper and stuff but now i’m just happy with change to DS still would be nice if it was just another version of shroud on F2 instead of overwrite.
Shouts hmm, we are probably only class that have cast time on them but not like they matter that much with stuff that we already have so no big deal.
And shouts are kinda lame anyway :P
GS seems like pve only weapon but who knows there is still time for stuff to change for better after beta events and considering that they have to announce spec. on missing classes i’d say it will take at least 2 more beta events.

I guess you could say that i’m returning player haven’t been around for quite a while nor was i doing much of pve beside that SW farm.
I was wondering is it sill possible to solo Arah with all those patches and fixes. I did manage to do that long time ago with zerk warrior but it involved iron nerves and lot of skipping.
Now i despise elitism and this 10k achievement and similar bs. so i avoid those, but sad thing is most pugs that i tried required iron nerves as well but often took a while to move and not that rarely failed.
Profession for this doesn’t matter that much to me got almost every thing on l80 but vids, tips and similar stuff would be welcome.
I’d say that Revenant feels most restricted from all classes, having weapon swap would be nice because basically you are stuck with 3 set of 5 skills that you cant tweak.
When i heard utility skill and elite swap i expected that you will be able to choose which ones or at least have some wider selection that is my general complaint.
Still cant wait for release to see the rest of its tools but being boxed in with only range/close range weapon is somewhat do-able if the rest of your bar can make up for it considering that Revenant is similar to Thief regarding energy management and rather spam-able skills.
I was glad that there is option at all to see that stuff.
And i have gladly paid for it as well, actually i am more surprised that they managed to pull this off with monthly content addition without extra charge, really don’t get some ppl…
Although i am sad that living world events are possible to experience trough youtube only but oh well guess that does make them more special for ppl who actually managed to see them in game.

Welcome back ,but your explanation is rather vague regarding the part what you want to achieve. Surely DPS is not the only thing that matters and this actually one of reason why ppl still dislike necros in dungeon runs.
But just regular pve and world events will work regardless of what build or gear you have. Regarding lifeblast yeah its kinda underwhelming pierce nice to have if you manage to hit more then one target but thats about it. Personally its more useful in wvw to kite a bit in power builds.
Dont want to sound all negative but enjoy it fully while it lasts coz you wanna bet it will get internal CD soon?
With announcement of expansion and greatsword wielding necros my hype for GW2 was ignited again. But i’d rather not talk about that because there is lot of those threads already…
What irks me is that necros are still considered one of most greedy professions out there at least in regard to party wide support and thats old story already. I mean necros (power/condi) do just fine in pvp, WvW, and i doubt that making some pve parts more condition depended would increase usefulness of necro simply because other classes can do that job just as good if not better considering their flexibility.
I also disagree that making necro only de-buff would fix things it would just turn necro into that unwanted kid in party that forced its way in…
Instead necros could use some sort of party wide support an example:
to make Plague Signet active skill spread currently active boons on necro to near by allies.
Obviously there should be some limits otherwise this would be rather OP, like make it possible to spread only max of 10 stacks/ half duration for non-stackable boons to prevent situation where multiple necros could spam stuff like aegis or stability between.
Maybe even limit number of boons to 3 of highest stacks or most recent ones and up to max of 5 near by allies.
IMO that sort of thing would not go against profession personality in sense of passing a part of your vitality to others.
And while its not direct buff to necro it would be one step to provide necro with some party support.
And there is nothing wrong with how Plague Signet works (now that its fixed) its just its effect is sub part to alternatives. In PvE most of times you want instant removal of multiple conditions and in WvW it did more harm for me then it was useful.
Just one of examples from WvW: i managed to take immobilize from near by friend but that didn’t save him because he was focused and soon after that spammed with multiple stuns/roots/and other stuff but it did manage to separate me from rest of party which made me a target and considering how necros lack and major mobility skills beside swiftness so i swiftly died.

Actually as someone said it works with blue as well but i guess your problem is that you tried to transfer it to item that you bought on same char who is owner of that mask as well.
So basically what you need to do is to buy that white/blue item(on what you plan to transfer that mask) with your main char and place it in store and then pull it out with your alt and use remodel otherwise it wont work.
Because of that it smells like bug so expect it to be fixed eventually but until then…
New version of build is looking great but i think you made one oversight and thats crit dmg ,because atm you have none.
Still want to try your build as i find pure glass cannon build too squishy and wells power build was sort of boring with lich form no1 spam while waiting for my cds to get back or even worse staff 1 …
