Hello guys! I encountered a weird thing, somehow i got red eyes even though in hero panel i got white eyes which is the correct colour. Anyone know if this is a bug or as it’s supposed to be?

I would like to start a thread about “Old School” content/feature changes. Guild wars 2 is soon 3 years old and much have changed, I myself really enjoy nostalgic moments and i don’t doubt that the veterans do aswell. Please fill the list with anything you remember, it’s always funny to read!

Do you remember when:

*You could jump down a cliff and dodge the fall damage, or use a leap/charge?
*Rangers pets ran out of AoE?
*Events were really hard almost impossible?
*Shouts were displayed above your head like “STAND YOUR GROUND” in a say bubble?
*Commander tag only cost 100g?
*Precursor were really cheap, like 50g each?
*Gold to gems prices was really low, 6 silver per 100 gems?
*Rangers pets had 4 skills to be actived on demand?
*You could use kites and toys in WvW?
*Lion arch was the player hub and not destroyed?
*Bleed stacks didn’t have a limitation?

Well the reason i’m irritated is because they told us that they would release the FoV on 10th of march, then they announce ON THE PATCH DAY that they are moving it.

How would you feel if anyone said that they were going to give you a snickers on the 10th of march and you were really looking forward to it, then on the same day they told you that the snickers were broken and that they will give you the snickers bar later without estimated time on the matter. Well that would make me disappointed at least.

And yet every single one of the releases I linked included changes and features. Point stands: Claiming that there have never been updates on other days than Tuesdays is blatantly false.

Please read my first post again that YOU commented on. I clearly stated that i was refering to ordinary patches NOT releases, ofc releases have changes and features added aswell, patches are minor releases two completely diffrent things. And no, the event started on Friday, but the patch itself went live on Thursday on November 15th.

I am quite certain that it was released on April 15th, the day they always said it would be released.
But if they must follow their release schedule, they should release it in two weeks, since we had a patch two weeks ago. Otherwise it would kitten up the schedule, wouldn’kitten You say that they must release it on a Tuesday because they always do that (which is false) and yet they could easily release it on a week where there would be no patch?

To be fair this is the first time they are delaying a patch as far as I am aware, and it is highly unlikely that they would delay it for two weeks (if they are done before that).
When it comes to delays, things are usually released as soon as they are ready.

And actually, yes, they have released stuff on both Wednesdays and Thursdays. And Mondays.

You temperature on your processor is too high, this causes throttling to lower the heat on the cpu. The maximum operation temperature is 62c for amd phenom x6. That’s what causing your problems. I would recommend you to buy new thermal grease and apply it to the cpu. Be sure to clean with Acetone or 99% clean alcohol!

Same problem kinda 5 dc’s in a row and when i finally got my first ascended from teq i wanted to grab it and but then sudenly dc again and lost my ascended.

Then i just gave up on this double exp event.

When the double experience came the first thing i did was to pop a birthday booster and trying to get my WvW rank up a bit, but that was impossible because i’m suffering from massive lag spikes and DCs. I can’t even login anymore, this is really disappointing for me at least. Haven’t been able to play all weekend because of this. Did even go to my mates place to see if it only was my internet connection that bugged out but nope, it’s anet. I’m still surprised that anet isn’t even aware of the issues.

How about you guys, can you play without the famous lags’n’dc with a tiny bit rubberbanding coctail?

hi guys , well seems like i dont gain any extra FPS with a second GPU im running GTX 760 with an fx 6300 at 4.8ghz , however in other games i really see increase in perfomance , no bottleneck at all in tomb rider 95% usage on both gpus , here its 50%..

Gw2 doesn’t support SLI or Crossfire, if you use SLI/CF it will reduce your fps sadly. The game is really CPU dependent and almost every processsor is bottlenecking.

Can login for a couple of seconds and if i’m lucky 1/10 i get able to go into WvW or EOTM and get DC shortly after, THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING and it’s destorying my gameplay experience.

Arenanet, this is serious people will quit because of this period. You need to do something and that’s fast. The game usually freeze and can’t do anything for 10-30 seconds and DCed shortly after. I’ve been playing since beta, and this never seems to get resolved. What are you doing seriously? I’m not only mad but disappointed aswell. Cmon you can do better then this. I just came back to the game and i get this warm welcome back? Really swell THANKS GUYS

As topic says, i would love this idea seriously! Would be kittenly awesome to see this change happen, just imagine people in Spvp/WvW guild runs and represent their own guild sigil on the shield, example “Guild Defender” this could be great for Spvp hardcore players playing tpvp to get some requisition, this would be making pvp being a bit more competitive! And be great in PvE guilds aswell

I am currently unable to play GW2. I click the executable and the launcher displays then crashes before the client loads.
A dialogue box pops up saying a serious error has occurred and whether I would like to send data to arenanet to help track the problem. After that I’m back at my desktop.

Ill first try a complete clean of the drivers and redo the beta just to see

I understand that they are old, and i don’t recommend it. Yes! I do actually and i can’t run the game in windows mode! We might have a winner here! I solved this problem by doing the thing i said in my previous post which was, running the game in fullscreen and disable my SLI.

Edit: Yea.. it was a letdowner for me to because i use my second screen very much as i play.. I don’t have any other options than that i’m sorry.. I hope Anet can have some guts and anwser and stand for that problem, cause that’s a problem with the programming of the game.

Just need your temps while playing, as i can see from the log i can see that your got some trouble running CCC.exe which is Control Panel for AMD Drivers, also some radar memory leaking. I think to resolve this problem you need to downgrade your drivers. As far as i know AMD just released their new drivers for their top notch cards such as yours and you know what that means right? Buggs! Hurray!!. To do this it would be easiest to follow a guide, something like this http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx#Win8

After that i suggest that you use the drivers that was offical before these new drivers, which would be http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64 Download only the Cataclyst Software Suite and NOT the latest beta drivers.

Oh alright! Do you still got your driver cd around that followed with your card? I know that this isn’t an optimal solution, and never recommended but those drivers on the cd are really polished and might work alot better then the new stable ones!

Edit: Just noticed that you wrote that you were playing in windows mode, if you play in fullscreen do you still recieve these random artifacts?

As i recall from reading some of hardware related issue about this game, is that they experience alot worse preformance(FPS drops), if i remember correctly when i tried to run this game with my SLI setup enabled and in windows mode it would freeze my computer. Only option was to hard reboot my computer and run in fullscreen to make it not freeze.
