Maguuma Server
Ranger and Necromancer.
To add to this, they should also give you the option to chose which rank you’re displaying. For this, it’s not really about the visual clutter as much as giving the players/commanders a potential way to mitigate some of the snipping and appealing to personal tastes in titles.
support this. My boyfriend won’t play his guardian in WvW at all anymore since he hit platinum, and that was one of his favorite classes. He doesn’t even command, except to rarely lead smaller groups, but if he plays as a platinum guardian, he’ll just get driver sniped all day.
You can always try out PvP too, to play together. I mean I know that’s not ideal, but if you just run as 2 people doing small-man stuff anyway, might as well try it out right? A lot of my roaming friends have started doing much more PvP since the expansion, since roaming in the new borderlands is pretty much pointless.
And in the meantime, just watch for one of the servers to open up I guess.
I haven’t really been able to play too much since the expansion came out, but I do talk to people in the game. I’ve figured for months that increasing the size of the borderlands would hit lower-population servers really hard, but now I’m wondering what do you people on those servers see happening?
I’m in T3 right now, and I know some of my friends have transferred up to higher tiers so that they can be with bigger guilds who are actually able to do something with these maps. One of my guilds used to be a roaming guild, and now we’re all spread out on different servers because roaming is quickly dying out. Are other people experiencing things like this as well?
And what about you people on high population or T1 servers? What does WvW look like for you in the new maps? Compared to before?
Not that the servers were really balanced before, but I feel like these maps are not doing anything good for population balance. It’s especially such a shame when Anet finally decided several months ago to try and re-work the population caps for servers, depending on their WvW population rather than overall server population. It’s just mixed messages from Anet, really. Are they trying to help balance WvW populations, or do they not even care? Are there plans for the future to merge servers and fix populations w/ the new maps that way? What’s going on?
Quit whining. We should just be happy they added WvW missions at all. If you’re in a multi-server guild, chances are it is primarily a PvE or PvP guild. WvW missions are great for primarily WvW guilds who struggled more with doing the PvE missions.
Plus, as Nero said, y’know WvW is about your server. It should be about fighting with a team- which is right now, your server. Guesting for WvW would introduce multiple problems, such as the easy ability for people to spy or sabotage enemy servers. If your guild wants to all do WvW together, just do what the WvW guilds do and transfer to one server together.
Because WvW players have too much access to gathering nodes and other similar ways to acquire mats/ make money.
Actually, you can do unlock the whole elite spec in about 8 hours if you have world completion. 16 hours without then I guess. I’ll probably be even faster once guides start to pop up.
Because 8 hours of EoTM is fun and what we paid $50 for….
Tbh Anet might have brought some of this on themselves. I mean they’ve been doing the whole, new LS content every 2 weeks or so- so people are used to getting things done quick, to move onto the next thing. Now Anet releases what might be a more long-term thing, but everyone has been trained to finish content fast.
-In recent months, I’ve played WvW with guilds that generally get up to 20-25 people max, or we do small havoc/roaming groups (2-5). With the larger group, we would run around mostly looking for fights, and y’know taking towers and keeps. Lately in T3, we have been outnumbered quite a bit as other servers seem to be running a lot of 30+ groups.
-I don’t go to EB often. With the new maps, I’ve only solo roamed so far, so still waiting to see how it goes with a group. So far, the maps feel really big- although, running from garri to the east keep didn’t really feel that long inbewteen keeps. I think a lot of the excess space is within the keeps themselves. I think the towers and keeps will be much harder for small groups to take, now. Which seems a little contradictory since the new map sizes seem to encourage people to spread out, which would mean smaller groups…
-I have spent time as a scout in the past, and I have to say these new keeps are a bit intimidating. I know they’re meant to be easier to defend now, but they’re just SO big. After a while I’m sure we won’t be feeling lost inside them- but still, how much time will it take to run around and check every gate for attackers, or to build siege, etc? I feel that it’s just unnecessary for the keeps to be as big as they are, it’s too much empty space.
-I hear a lot of people saying they’ll probably spend more time on EB now- and EB might become the new roaming map. I’m wondering if leaving one old map was a good idea, as now it gives people a place to run back to where they feel comfortable, instead of forcing them to adjust to the new maps.
-I’m not sure about wxp or rewards yet, although it is nice that we don’t have to spend money on upgrades now.
-I like how the shrine system and oasis events seem to give a little more activity for roamers- especially how in the oasis, it targets people on the map who have picked up an item. However, it’s still getting a little too PvE-y for my taste. I found the Inferno Hound transformation in the fire keep, and while it was fun (and really powerful), it seems too EoTM-y for me as well. After all, WvWers want to fight people, not..dogs.
-I don’t really understand the open waypoints in south towers that anyone can use. I’m not sure it’s even really a bad thing, I just don’t understand why enemies can waypoint into someone else’s tower.
-As for new players, I don’t think these new maps are welcoming at all. I mean right now we’re all new to the maps, and most people seem to feel it takes too long to run anywhere, and that the map is confusing and easy to get lost in. For players who are new to the maps AND WvW? They have to deal with the extra confusion of learning wvw, and now it’s harder to cap things with small groups…So I’d guess new players wouldn’t stay very long unless they can find a large guild quickly. PvE players are used to farming, and running all the way across this huge map for our scarce WvW rewards is just not going to make new players want to stay.
I think that overall, reset will be the first real test of the new maps. We’ll see tonight how easy it is to find fights and take objectives, and that will likely be a deciding factor for a lot of people. I’m expecting big queues for EB, but hopefully enough people are pushed into the BLs that we can really see if they’re too big or not.
(edited by Genavelle.9516)
60 players can cover the entire map; a ZERG of 60 cannot. It’s to encourage (Not necessarily roaming or havok small), smaller group play. With a map this large there’s no reason for every person on the map to be in the same spot at the same time.
Not really sure about that though. And it seems a little contradictory to encourage smaller groups, while at the same time making the keeps much harder to take….
why would you do a TLDR for a one-sentence post
Pretty sure the beta events for these maps were invite-only and mainly consisted of streamers- so no, they weren’t tested by actual WvW players, and those beta events were mostly just for advertising.
Also I remember several months ago seeing in the forums that people complained these maps would be too big, and would kill both roaming and low-population servers. Obviously Anet didn’t care.
I’m kind of wondering if the player limit has been or will be increased for the new borderlands maps…I mean if you pull up your map, these borderlands are HUGE. They’re bigger than Eternal, bigger than EOTM and probably easily atleast twice as big as the old borderlands.
Running around in them, it takes a long time to get anywhere, and they just feel so empty. I feel like pretty much only T1 servers will be able to cover these maps- if they can. It seems to me like if you’re doubling the map sizes, you should increase the player cap as well. Obviously 60 (or whatever the current cap is) players CANNOT cover, or defend one of these maps. It’s just not possible.
Does anyone know if the caps will be raised to allow for more players or what?
played the new borderlands for 10mins, got really bored from fighting pve mobs.
i just hate myself for buying this expansion…
You didn’t even have to buy the expansion for the new wvw maps….
The PvP reward tracks are for PvP. WvW has its own reward system (lol jk, WvW players make no money/rewards).
I keep seeing “wvw night” , Well. yes. it’s the BETA WEEKEND,
It’s reset night for WvW… Some people actually give two kittens about it. Apparently Mike O’Brien doesn’t as per his WvW quotes to Reyana.
you’re missing the point, it’s the dedicated hot beta weekend. more focus should be on this than wvw, if the ui for their entire expansion is buggy now, it’s better to fix it.
Why can’t they fix bugs in a more closed setting? Or atleast have better timing? 9 pm EST on Friday starts the busiest WvW night of the week. They could have worked on it earlier than that, or they could’ve waited until tomorrow.
And like I said before- why should everyone in the entire game be subjected to HoT-related bugs just because it’s a beta weekend? I haven’t paid for HoT, I can’t participate in beta events, and I don’t want to have to deal with its bugs.
it’s 4:00 am – 5:00 am… when most EU people would be asleep.
Um okay but EU is not the only timezone this game caters to? The patch happened 2 hours into NA prime reset time, so NA players still had a lot of people online, and I’m sure for the next time zone, it’s not a great situation either.

Yeah but friday night is always WvW reset. Anet knows this. Every single WvW player knows this. It’s the biggest, most fun, most profitable, most planned night of the week for WvW.
WvW servers and guilds coordinate who’s going to which map. Guilds have all their members log in, and everyone sorts their parties very carefully to balance the classes. You get in teamspeak with your guild. All of this BEFORE reset even happens. Then you meet up around the portals in LA, chill, and wait for the matches to officially reset. You spam the portal so that you don’t get queued out. Then you rush off with your guild to grab as many points as you can in the first few hours of the match, and all of the biggest and best fights are on reset. And if you happen to disconnect, or log out, you CAN end up queued out of a map. Having sudden tiny patches sucks if your in the middle of a huge fight, or in the process of taking a keep. They make it hard to make sure your guild all gets back in before the queue, etc. And guilds rely on their commanders to lead them through the fights. Even if you have other commanders- people have said tagging up AFTER the patch and swapping maps can cause you to be kicked out as well.
And keep in mind, some of us have NOT purchased the expansion, some people don’t plan on purchasing it, and there’s no real reason to subject everyone doing non-beta things (like regular reset) to random issues that completely destroy our gameplay for the night.
It’s not Arenanet’s Fault none of this works as intended, they are doing their best, ( When i say arenanet, I mean all of GW2 support, the server managers, and anythign relate dtoi any server under Arenanet’s company)
Except it’s pretty lame to do random little patches in the middle of reset night anyway…Kicking everyone out of WvW on reset for a patch to fix like 1 thing already upsets people, and if something WERE to go wrong because of the patch (like just happened), then it’s even more of an issue.
Some friends and I just played a match of Unranked PvP, and when the match ended…rather than redirecting us back to the lobby, it put us all back into the arena. The scores were still up (although not changing), and the timer was stuck at 6:50. If we clicked the “leave arena” button, it would just put us back in the arena. I mean we would go to a loading screen, but then just reappear at the starting area in the arena, with the same stuck score and timer. We even tried to enter WvW, and the same thing happened. The only way to actually get out of this was to completely exit the game, and log back in.
There is no way in the nine hells that I am ever giving another penny to this terrible terrible company. The only reason I and many others are still here is for the lack of any other game with large scale open world PVP, and the minute another game comes out with this I will drop GW2 like the terd that it is.
wow you are really negative. I also dislike the way things go at the moment but as the guy above me said: give them time.
They’ve overall created (in my and many others opinion) the best MMO ever without hardly any MMO experience besides what they were doing in the original Guild Wars. And that game wasn’t even intended or created as a true MMO.
All of this without any subscription fees. How can you call that a terrible company?
I’m still hoping that they will turn things for good. And I will hopefully be able to see some progress in the stress test for myself tomorrow.
I also have my doubts but never judge something before it’s even released. If WvW disappoints me once hot releases I will say goodbye. But if they show me that they can get things done I’ll happily give them my money.
The 3 years since launch hasn’t been enough time for them to do something with WvW-even something as little as keep it clean of bugs, and keep the servers balanced, maybe add ppk? How long do you want us to wait?
X not buying the expansion. Kinda getting tired of GW2, and I don’t see anything in the expansion that will really keep me interested in the game. If I’m probably going to get bored and find another game within the next year, no reason to spend more money on this one.
I’m pretty sure when I read the little article, it sounded like there will be a 24-hour Stress Test event, and the whole stream advertising portion of it is only for like 3 hours, so I mean they’re still doing a whole stress test in addition to the stream
Promised? Did they actually say “I Promise you this”
Highly doubt it.
It depends. They said “we are planning to do this”. Of course this is no promise but not doing any major changes at all after this post basically is like showing your middle finger to the community.
Do we really want major changes though? Most will say yes but if you look at temporary changes such as events and tournaments, I’m pretty sure more would rather not see any changes.
Even new map people are saying will become EoTM 2.0 and unfortunately it may become that since so many are putting it in peoples heads that it will be before any of us have played it..
I don’t think core WvW players want major changes as in new things. I think what people want is just for Anet to try and fix the game-mode up a little bit and improve upon the system. Doing things like, fixing the server imbalance, adding PPK, doing stuff to encourage and rewards for fights and skill rather than just PPT, give a little more rewards for stuff like Scouting, fix bugs, etc. I would even welcome new maps just for the change of scenery, but y’know they don’t have to get too crazy with it. Making new maps that are so much bigger when there’s already a population problem just doesn’t make sense. They could have kept the size/layout of the current maps, maybe made minor changes, but changed the scenery and made some of the cool more cosmetic features of the new map.
Unfortunately, we can’t. Anet has turned WvW into PvE for the week, and it sadly looks like they plan on making WvW permanent PvE Ktrain with the new maps in the expansion.
Here’s a question: How would PvE players feel if PvE land suddenly became PvP-able? If people could just run around and kill you while you’re simply trying to do whatever makes you happy. Now realize that that is exactly how every single WvW player feels right now.Hmm Your comparison would be more appropriate if you literally couldn’t do wvw right now, which is not true you CAN, you choose not to due to the current event stupid/thing. It’s not like they removed the game mode from the game. As far as new map balance, I’d give that time and see how it turns out.
Also you really shouldn’t just say pve/pvp players, as the wvw current thing has literally NO impact on S-pvp.
I play Wvw, and I don’t feel that way, now realize when ever you use all encompassing words or statements like “every single” it’s almost always hyperbole.
Well I CAN’T do WvW right now, and I’ll explain why. I can’t have fun fighting in WvW this week, whether it’s roaming or group fighting because there are superfast, super-powerful golems running everywhere, and even a lot of people who aren’t in golems are abusing a bug to have that extra speed and damage boost with their normal skills. It wouldn’t be very fun or very normal WvW for me to be getting killed by super-powerful golems and players everywhere. My larger guild for group fights has cancelled all their raids for the week because of the event, so I can’t do large fights with them. I can’t scout because there is no point right now when everyone is just doing insane fast, powerful golem Ktrains. Why would I waste my time and money trying to scout/upgrade anything to defend against that? And who can I call in for help when most of the WvW guilds are taking a break this week?
I also wasn’t talking about PvP players. I only mentioned “PvP” when I talked about making PvE maps “PvP-able”, in which I meant making PvE maps player-versus-player-able. It had nothing to do with sPvP.
I like this to an extent. But since I have every single dye (other than the RNG gem store ones, I think I only have one complete set out of those sets) I’d just instantly get the collection rewards and still have not much more to work towards. I have a guildie who does have every dye, she goes berserk when new sets come out.
Which does beg the question of whether RNG gem shop dyes should be required for collections … though it works for minis.
Still this is an obvious and easily trackable collection, so it certainly makes sense to make it an achievement.
Well I feel like if this were to be implemented, the Gem Shop-Only dyes like Flame and Frost and whatnot would be their own collections or atleast, not necessary for basic collections like “Collect All The Reds”- so it’s just collect every red dye, omitting the special gem ones.
And I mean yeah it would suck if you already have all the dyes, but it could be fun for a lot of people who don’t have them all yet.
Starting to think this is a troll
To be fair, I think they are doing something to help make Scouting a little better with the expansion. Aren’t they making some changes to like..yaks and upgrades and stuff so it isn’t so financially kitten scouts?
But other than that, I completely agree and even with the scout thing, shouldn’t have taken this long.
Since Anet added this whole Collection system into the game, why not have some Dye Collections? I mean when I started playing this game, I had a goal to collect all the dyes (without buying them off the TP), and I got really far in that until Anet took away Dyes as drops and raised the laurel price for less dyes.
But really, there are so many dyes in the game, there are so many options to make it a collection. You could do collection by color like “Collect all the Reds!” or just by rarity, or by material, or whatever. There could even be like Rare collections to collect all the dyes from a specific pack like “Collect all the Flame and Frost Dyes”
Are you sure all of your bags are expanded?
I mean I know that sounds silly but one time I couldn’t find something in my bags and then I realized one of my bags wasn’t expanded. Also if you got any of those sorting-bags, maybe your items are being sorted and put into a specific bag that might not be the first bag you see, so make sure you look through all of them.
After blobbing around and smashing 1111 whole day you might wanna go play some new PvE content where you need to think little bit.
I don’t blob…I’m in a small Roaming guild where we normally run about 3 people at a time, and I’m in a medium-sized guild that runs about 20 that I join for Reset.
I also click many more buttons than just 1. Also I have been taking a break this week to do some PvE and make some money- and I have to say, you can’t insult WvW players on our abilities. Yesterday in the Silverwastes I solo’d a Veteran Terragriff, and 5 mins later found THREE people laying dead around another Vet Terragriff. So I proceeded to kill that one over their dead bodies, by myself, again.
So apparently there’s this bug in the WvW borderlands where the Inner Watergate of Garrison (that’s the southern gate by the water) doesn’t upgrade with the rest of the keep. So if you order reinforced gates or fortified gates, this gate does not receive those upgrades, leaving it as a normal, weak gate that is easier to kill than the rest of the gates.
So for some reason this week, people are being able to get up to like 50+ supply. I think the bug might have something to do with building the no-supply golems but then getting supply back from building? I’m not really sure but I mean it’s a crazy bug that’s giving people insane amounts of supply that normally would not be possible.
So there’s this bug where people are somehow able to duplicate golems in WvW without spending any kind of currency on them. I’m not sure exactly how it works or anything, but basically it’s giving people free access to unlimited golems, which is extra-insane this week with the Golem Rush event.
So there’s this bug in WvW this week where players are able to get the extra 100% speed and damage buff from the golems, but keep it without being in a golem. This is letting lots of people run around and do insane damage for no reason, which is making WvW even less fun than it already was with the event.
I play PVE because I enjoy it. Everyone’s definition of “fun” is different, if you have more fun in pvp/wvw then play there:)
Now realize that that is exactly how every single WvW player feels right now.
The fact that the OP has to APOLOGIZE for bringing up a certain bug still being in the game is a big red flag if you ask me.
I agree with this, but unfortunately this thread is going to end up being moved into the WvW forum soon. They even moved my thread asking for reasons why I should buy the expansion into the WvW forum.
And while some may dismiss the current upset as temporary and just a reaction to this week’s Golem Event, I’m going to argue that the WvW population has been frustrated and tired for a very long time now, and this week along with the new WvW maps has just given a lot of players the final push into deciding Anet really does not understand, care, or have future plans for WvW.
There are a LOT of people right now suspending any payment for gems or the expansion and actively looking for ANYTHING ELSE to play.
edit: lol called it.

Welcome to Farm Wars 2.
“The expansion holds nothing for WvW,
That’s not true, it has one new, replacement BL map, which will contain even more PvE than ever before!
Even though we have repeated asked for less invasion from the LS, they have added permanent PvE events to WvW…
Exactly, as I said, WvW is dying. I’m 99% positive at this point that with the expansion and the new maps, Anet’s plan is to just convert WvW into a second EoTM and get rid of real WvW once and for all.
I think personally the entire server system is completely unbalanced anymore. The top couple tiers have very large populations, and a lot of the low tier servers are just empty. People just hop from server to server, bandwagoning and filling up new servers only to leave them dry a few months later. T1 servers rigged their own matches to keep it locked to the same 3 servers, that’s their own fault.
Anet should have tried harder from the beginning to keep servers balanced, but they didn’t and now everything is a huge mess. I think it’s too late to ask for help because I can’t see Anet really putting any time, effort, or resources towards fixing the mess they’ve made. Probably their solution to all the WvW problems is to convert WvW to EoTM with the expansion and new maps.
LOLOLOLOL Okay nevermind apparently someone changed the title of the thread without notifying me. I found it now.
If you guys are going to change people’s thread titles, could you atleast let them know so they can find their own threads again? Thanks…
Hey so I logged in today to see a PM that one of my threads had been moved out of the HoT forum into the WvW forum, yet when I went to the WvW forum (and looked back about 4 pages) I couldn’t find it anywhere. I checked several times, so maybe I’m overlooking it but I doubt it. I also checked the HoT forum and didn’t see it in there either.
What’s the bug?
There are several bugs with the Golem Event. I believe the one he’s referring to is an exploit that lets players keep the extra 100% speed and 100% damage buff without being in a golem. So basically they run around and can use their normal skills, but are doing twice as much damage for no reason.
There are also bugs in the event allowing people to get like, 50 supply, and people are able to duplicate golems for free.
But if we want to recruit new people to WvW, we need to do it with WvW activities and events. All this event does is bring PvE people from PvE and EoTM into WvW to farm for a week- and yeah sure maybe you recruited some new people who are REALLY loving the event. But next week, when all the golems are gone, the super crazy ktraining is gone, and real WvW comes back? All your new recruits are going to get bored and go back to EoTM and PvE land.
Trying to get new players interested in WvW with PvE events is just not going to work. As I said earlier, we need to have WvW-relevant events that bring new people in and show them the good stuff about real WvW. And honestly, even that won’t REALLY work until Anet decides to fix a lot of the big problems with WvW as it is: add better rewards, fix the population imbalances, reward for actual skill, etc.
I am so tired of hearing, All this event brings is PVE people or EOTM people. As if alot of us didnt start there.
I did, I WAS A PVEER! Then I met a supportive guild that taught me how to WvW. I don’t know why people arent willing to see that PVE people are the beginnings of WvW. Pretending that WvWers are > PVEers is silly. There is tactical approaches to both things. You can be hard core about either and be a good player. Anyone willing to devote the time to encourage and teach a pveer often finds a phenomenal WvWer underneath.
I just don’t think people want to take the time to teach others and help them. Where do you get your WvWers from if not from PVE and PVP. Are they suppose to just arrive here from no where?
I started in PvE too. WvW revitalized the game for me after PvE got stale. But the difference is that I decided to go explore WvW and give it a chance, and yes ultimately joining a guild is what made me realize the full potential and fun of WvW. But this week, players aren’t coming into WvW to give WvW a chance or because PvE has become stale- they’re here for the easy, fast loot of the ktrain. The ktrain is a pretty PvE thing, so anyone new who comes to WvW this week is still just coming here to PvE. And maybe a few people will really give WvW a chance when the event ends, but the majority will go back to whatever they normally do.
I just think there are better ways to promote wvw to new players. To start off, maybe anet should improve basic WvW rewards without making it a ktrain. Over the years PvE has become more and more and more profitable, I mean back in the beginning getting like 20g was a big deal- now you can pretty much make that in a day in pve. Yet WvW rewards haven’t changed, with the exception of the eotm ktrain. I feel like it can be hard for pve players today to transition from all the pve farming to WvW simply because how do you go from making all that money to suddenly making none? It doesn’t feel good. So if they make better rewards for WvW, then introduce a few of these promotional events- but ones that really encourage normal wvw play, that would be a better way to get players into wvw
Sell it to me, Anet, players, anyone. Tell me why I should spend my money on the expansion.
Be cause 50 or even 100 is not much for an MMO with no subs and you got 2-3 years of content usually for free aside from cosmetic fluff.
Pretty much
Please people. Dont waste my and your time by posting in a thread you didn’t read. I have specific concerns about the future of this game I want addressed. I also will not be paying $50 for 2-3 years of content because in the past 3 years anet hasn’t even been able to fix bugs in wvw or take care of it so that our rewards get inflated year after year like in pve, or so that the servers stay balanced, or anything- let alone new content. Basically the expansion would offer me a new class, specializations, and yknow maybe some other little things. But I’m also worried that when the expansion comes out, wvw will die if the new maps turn it into eotm 2.0, and then what reason do I have to even keep playing at all?
Why have we still not gotten any kind of response or acknowledgement of these bugs?
I think people failed to see the hidden benefits to this event.
When ANET first announced this event, I was so happy I knew right away the benefit this could be to world vs. world. However my joy was tempered with the anger I knew I would see here on the boards.
I knew I would see endless posts from people that were angry that they couldnt defend and play the game the same way they play it, day in and day out. Stuck in an endless routine that is slowly loosing people, and not gaining people to outweigh its losses.
I was sadly not wrong as I saw that this thread was already up to 17 pages and most of them are just rages. Somewhere a vast majority of people have lost site as to what is important to, A. them as a player, B. thier guild, And lastly C. WvW.
As a player most people that play MMO’s play them to spend with other people, as a player if you love that game mode then this event is only seeking to ensure that continues.
As a guild, taking this week off of all weeks is foolish. Why? In one night I recruited 20 new to WvW players. Who found this event amazing and wonderful.
If you love WvW your lack of vision and understanding of this event is sad as it is one of those huge moments that allows people to capitalize on new players and give them a taste of WvW in a non stressful light. New wvwers love Golems they give them a feeling of security and seeing the loot that you can abscond with a good golem run encourages them to enjoy and come back to WvW.
This game mode wont survive without new people, and if you think they want to sit inside a tower and a keep defending, thats why we have lost so many up to this point.
It is okay if that is your personal taste. You should of defended with golems? Who says they always have to be offensive. Many of the times my group was overrun was by tactical moves by our enemy to defend with golems.
It was alot of fun, and just something new for a week. Don’t worry it will be back to your preferred playstyle soon I just hope there are still people left for you to play with.
Take a look at T8 if you dont know what its like to play on a server with no one. People arent moving up, they are moving out.
Well most of the gvg guilds will move out of wvw with the expansion because of guild hall arenas, no reason to be in wvw other than zerg busting. Smaller groups will remain in wvw, would they prefer the new eotm map coming or the older borderland map though?
As for twitch transmissions on a saturday….. anet doesn’t work on the weekends, as anything broken usually gets left until monday to be fixed. If you meant player run then sure go for it. Would be nice if anet ran the wvw buffs every few weeks like they do for the spvp tournaments.
Lastly anet wouldn’t know customer loyalty if a st. bernard came and slobbered over their faces. They don’t care about veteran players, that much is evident by some of the screw ups in the last year. They only hunt for new whales if you catch my drift.
So…we all just write a bunch of really bad reviews for GW2, publicly go around and dissuade people from buying it, tell our friends it sucks, etc?
This is why people dislike posting, cause you have to say things like that. Just cause you hate the event does not mean the event is bad, and just because I like the event, does not mean it good. I am allowed to have an opinion, just like you are.
You are allowed to have an opinion, and I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself. But the fact is this event has turned WvW into EoTM and taken away the entire WvW experience for a week.
The event is not bad because we hate it….We hate the event because it is bad.
If you really enjoyed GW2, but have slowly fizzled because there’s no new content, but really wish they would add more content so you can enjoy the game again, then buy the expansion.
If you didn’t really care for the base GW2 experience, then don’t worry about it.
Here’s the problem: I’ve grown to really love playing WvW with my friends, but have slowly fizzled out because WvW is neglected by the devs and has become an unprofitable, imbalanced mess. Worse, they might be turning it into Ktrain Wars with the new map.
