Hi,

Is it possible to include player’s name in the feasts, siege blueprints, merchants, banners, or any stuff in general that he/she deployed?

First reason is just to appreciate the person who is kind enough to share his/her stuff with other players. Second is that, this will be especially useful in WvW where there are people that like to troll with consumables and blueprints.

Curious though, what is so special with (Risen Priest of) Grenth? Simple pattern/mechanics, and without many players around him he seems to be lot weaker than other bosses.

Shadowstep, based on gw2 wiki:

It allows the player to move vertically as long the position can be reached normally by moving on the ground without jumping. Trying to shadowstep up or through obstacles or across gaps will cause you to shadowstep to the edge in general.

However, this ability seems to behave inconsistently on stairways. Please refer to the attachment. These pictures are taken from World vs World’s garrison.

There is a visible visual difference between these two stairs on the picture, with the latter (jagged stair) could be regarded as obstacle when this skill is trying to calculate the path.

Is this expected?

Wvw players don’t go to wvw to play a jumping game- I stopped playing those when I was about 8 years old (ankitten ow too old to have the required co ordination to make good jumps).

It’s just a bald faced attempt to get people to use an area of the game that they generally have no interest in doing, ie coercing people to do things they would rather not be doing as it’s not their idea of fun.

Plenty of jump puzzles exist outside of wvw, if you like that sort of thing.

LOL and everyone should listen to you because only you yourself could define what others are able to do in WvW.

Please, there are plenty of others that enjoy fights and thrills in JP. If you don’t like them, move on. You don’t need these for the title either.

Agree with OP. I’m not saying that it is impossible, but that is not how I wanted to see it. It is too exhausting. I play GW2 when I want to rest and have some adventures, but dungeon is not meant for rest. This is work, that is why I don’t like it.

Honestly, there are plenty other stuffs to enjoy. Do not feel burdened if you can’t complete it, as no one is forcing you to do it. That’s why it’s called Achievement; if you can’t complete it or do it efficiently, it’s fine.

This is where I am beginning to sour toward this content grind. I don’t play video games to Work I already work in real life, when I log into GW2 I want to spend that time playing the game.

Total up how many hours you spend in GW2 doing tedious content (aka working) and put a $/hour value on it. It’s scary to think how much time/money is lost on grind.

Lets say all you want to do is WvW or run dungeons, to get the most out of it and enjoy it you need to slog your way through 80 levels, then farm countless hours of gold and materials to gear up. It may be fun the first time, but after 5 characters, I’ve had enough. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my spare time to be spent doing things I don’t enjoy to reach a point where I can enjoy the game. Ascended trinkets were the beginning of the end for me, yet I still play, weapons arrived and I still reluctantly tow the line, 6 pieces of armour and I dare say I will be moving on to another title, Life is too short to waste 3000 hours working towards something you are supposed to enjoy.

Then do not get it? No one is forcing you to get them in any way. If you feel that you were forced/burdened because others are getting it, then it’s your problem. If your idea of ‘enjoying’ game is to get all the things that you want without hard work, this game will never sate you.

The idea behind Ascended was to bridge the gap between Exotic and Legendary. Exotic was quite scarce in the past, but sadly becoming way too common afterwards. If Ascended were so easy/accessible that almost everyone can get it, then what will people ask for next? In the end, what will happen?

Statistic says otherwise, obviously. No matter how hard we screamed, other people are still enjoying and playing WvW, and it seems that this number of people is still considered favorable/acceptable by ANET.

They can’t make a really good WvW that makes everyone wants to play it. If everyone suddenly starts to enjoy WvW, the other game aspects will starve, and the so-called balance will be disrupted too. ANET has its own strategy to maintain the revenue.

I pity wvw dev team tho; their hard work is just bashed everywhere in this forum.

Been in EB with no issue since Friday reset. You should try to queue from Asura Gate with party members that are already in. If you can’t get any party members that are already inside, communicate more as there are plenty of people in EB (obviously).

A counter would be better, like every stealth grants you a duration and invisibility counter. Every hits that you get decrease that counter, when it reaches 0, even if duration has not fully elapsed, you will be revealed (w/o reveal buff ?).

This would enforce a better way to counter stealth. For example if someone is blinded due to thief’s stealth trait in 1v1 scenario, and his blind is gone when he attacks to certain direction, he will know that the thief is roughly on that direction. Keep attacking there a few more times might reveal the thief. This way, thieves would have to manage his/her stealth better too.

You transmuted it after you chose whether you wanted to use it on PvE or PVP, no? I think it is considered two separate actions in sequence, with a warning saying that it was going to be permanent.

Transmutation splitter only works for the transmutation action, which in this case, is after you chose PvE.

No harm of trying to suggest this in Suggestion thread tho.

It needs a whole team dedicated to fulfill this.

Does GvG require skills? Of course. Tournament and sPvP require tactics and coordinations; how could anyone think 20v20 would require any lesser?

Is wvw map suitable, or even designed for GvG? No.

GvG is huge and requires a whole team for it. Don’t go hardcore mode and harass WvW dev team even further please. Instead, go to Suggestion thread in this forum. This whole GvG idea is more possible to be groomed there.

This whole MF-to-other-stat scheme is a compensation, not a shortcut.

True that the statement itself is way too exaggerating. However, it’s quite obvious that it’d be too good to be true if you can turn a moderate cost gear into a time-gated or expensive gear such as Celestial or Sentinel. They are both harder to get for reasons.

Perhaps they’d be available to this scheme should their price/value become lower. But for now, it’s intentional and pretty unlikely to change.

It is absolutely intended that you can fight people in the JP. The fact that so many people are piling into the map to get the achievement is good for any and all of you who are capable of laying the smack down on them, and, if they manage to fight back is hopefully going to encourage some of them to stick around and play WvW. If you don’t want to get killed by other players, don’t play WvW. Plain and simple. The achievement isn’t required for getting the meta-achievement on purpose.

I suggest that you buy it from TP, but you would need to monitor the price fluctuation in order to get the ‘right’ price.

Usually if there is no amount shown on the gem and gold sections (notice the bottom bar), the trading authentication has expired and we would need to, as you said, re-log to refresh it.

I don’t get why you are treating this as a punishment though. Getting rewards such as loot bags, is a … reward. Those that do not get these rewards is anything but punished.

But I agree that the current accolade mechanism is more rewarding to the offensive part of the battle, while those that help in the defensive are rather neglected. (Actually there are other parts of battle that are neglected too)

From what I can see from my team, you need to make use of the tagging mechanism further. Why healing, you should be able to attack too. Sounds troublesome, but that’s what you can do at the moment. Plus, knowing your team has won the battle due to your support, by itself is also a reward.

Commander tag is something you can buy; being a good commander is something you must learn. Currently there’s a missing link in between, so either we split WvW tag and PvE tag, or associate the WvW tag with the bearer’s rank to exhibit his/her experience in the battlefield.

True that people aren’t dumb, and they can in fact quickly choose who to follow and to ignore. But honestly, 100g is not a good, sole criterion to be a commander, especially in WvW.

Refund is not possible because the 100 gold’s value has changed over time. It’d be hard to justify what’s the real value that each commander should get, otherwise it’d be another series of complaints.

I agree that commander tag itself should evolve and be linked to wvw rank, in wvw maps.
