I have the Chop-It-All Logging Axe. And i feel kinda screwed because the new loging axe is account bound(even tho 200 gems more). Is there any way to refund my previous one and get the new one with few more gems? Or upgrade my current one to the new one?

For the last 2 days this happens: I get DCed then when i try to log-in it says “The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time.”, and keeps going like this for quite long time. Yesterday it happened and after 1 hour trying to log-in i quit it. Now the same thing.

I have strong internet connection considered by all internet connection tests i know. Not a router problem, nor pc problem(restarted both, the problem stays). Not firewall/anti-virus(disabled both without effect).

If we include the tons of game crashes lately(when exiting Escape from LA, the lfg tool, etc), the game becomes almost unplayable.

Edit: This time this continued for 36 minutes.

I didnt knew the heal build have any application in SPvP. Which it doesnt – the last few nerfs made sure of that. Pve doesn’t need it as you say. No, I talk mainly for WvW. Since there is the only living application of the build. And not for zergs, who cant play with zergs?!? I’m speaking of solo/team scouting, and if you think the healing/condi removal there is not important – you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about, most likely because you don’t run the build. So please, don’t comment something you don’t understand.

Just get it over with?

Dont get me wrong, I’m not quiting because the build is going to be ruined(not like its not already…), actually it will be just a minor nerf. Well i quit partly because of it, but i quit mainly because Anet just kitten all over the place time after time and expect the people to like it. This was just my icing on the cake.

Here is my build: Q/U/I/T, i’m done with gw2 since they simply have no idea of what Anet’re doing with their game. I’m not experiencing another unnecessary nerf on my main build, simply because its the only build that’s worth something to have fun with. Burst builds are too squishy with no utility in them, condition builds are nowhere to be compared with other classes and the staff build is just too slow and low damaged for wvw. SPvP is too full of bugs to be worth something. So yea i quit if dec 10th comes in power.(and it will…)

Just a little time after launch people discovered the healing side of the ele, at that very moment the nerfs began. First the healing ammount, then the mobility, then a major nerf on mobility, another nerf on healing, a nerf on condition removal. In the end the healing build ended up in being only viable in WvW. Now we got few new spells in staff and that seemingly is so strong that the build needs another nerf that’s not staff related.
Renewing stamina and Elemental attunement- a core buff traits for the d/d s/d healing builds are getting nerfed. If we say that’s a try to move the build to staff entirely, then its a mobility nerf, since staff is much less mobile.

When Anet obviously don’t want this build to be worth anything just get it over with – remove the Cleansing Wave from Evasive Arcana, remove the Healing Ripple from Water 15. Easy and simple. Why the needless torment of the people who just love healing…

I endured every nerf of these. I’m disgusted that GW2 had a potential of becoming top MMO and that potential was ruined by letting it rot(pvp bugs, no real rate system, too much temporary content that doesn’t repeat in any way). I already reduced my gameplay to doing only wvw and daily achievs. Most likely with December 10th when i will probably not even enjoy wvw anymore because of movement loss or the healing/condi-remove loss( i barely make it even with what I now have) – well… I hope then Anet will announce the next update changes so i can see the deletion of what i loved and just leave without any regrets.

OK I’ve heard that Anet are chaning all conjure skills, but what about the Fiery Greatword. Skill 3,4 are just fine as they are(actually the whole sword is ok if we exclude the full cd bug on interrupt), are they going to change(nerf movement) these two? We already took heavy nerfs on our mobility, i hope that doesn’t continue behind the mask of “buffing the conjure skills”. Any ideas?

They ragequit and 5/6 of the guys i knew are still out of the game because of the reasons described above. For fixing bugs – i do know how frustrating is, but this is not a matter of want or don’t want to. For successful PvP this is a need. And that was the point of the thread why don’t they cover the “needs” of the game?!?

As for the game not being engaging bad/good thing – well Anet created the game with this idea and its successful. Also no other “good” MMO is made this way so i guess this can be counted as good addition, rather than a bad. Even though its 50:50 for the gaming community.(to be honest its really arguable is this good or not)

P.S. specific examples for fix? We have no actual idea how things work below – saying a solution for something that is actually a different thing than we immagine it is pointless.

Guild Wars 2 is really one revolutionary game, it has the living story – a stupid amount of content is released at so intense speeds that has never been seen before. A dynamic combat system that makes any other mmo seem “wooden”. The fact that the game is not engaging, for example you don’t need hardcore guild just to be able to go to dungeon. SAB. And some other things that are also unique and totally awesome.

But all this, all this potential of making the game go for top MMO is wasted, because of tiny imperfections. I’ve had multiple friends that left the game, all of them because GW2’s pvp is not in good condition:

There are bugs in every corner – every profession have few major game-breaking bugs (for example skill going full cooldown without even activating or the channeled skills attacking stealthed characters). Some of these stay there ever since BWE1, far before game launch. Even more, there are new bugs that are added as “balancing” and are left like that for months – <Ride the lightning> is such one. There is major unbalancing “things” that Anet created, people complained about them, but yet again more of them were added. The biggest one in them is the “push-fall” unbalance. Some professions have a lot of advantage in specific terrain – 1 accidental “push” might mean instant victory over the actual total defeat. Also the fact that you can face top team when most of your team is not even in the top 1000 list.

These are just the major things from the PvP, but even though they are not the only ones, they still they take a big part in the dawn fall of the game.

The list of these major problems i known and its not large. Even so they seem like tiny problems and almost nothing is done about them.

I’m here ever since BWE1 and i can say GW2 is loosing a lot people, because of such things – i.e. ragequits. Not because of balance issues or something else.
Yes, there are people that leave the game because of “nothing to do” , but that’s because they are too used to the farming style of the all other MMOs. Gw2 is different.

So why? Why does the great potential of the game wasted on… bugs? I just don’t get it.

Seriously man do you even play pvp or listen to what i say? I’m zerk ele, what do you think i’m doing? And its like i didn’t explain what happened today with that ranger and his team. That was just a simple example, but these things happen a lot in different ways on that map, will it be the ranger’s pet or a guardian downed push or a fear just before going downed on a necro or warrior – damage becomes irrelevant .

But yea, Stealth.9324 is right…. Anet devs don’t listen. Even they messed up something really bad.

That’s not funny Eurantien. You compare a “stealth” or 1 time working(nobody will be caught in the same trick twice) attack that can be hardly used(you need to wait for that guy to stand in specific location, hope that you’ll hit and do nothing other than evade while waiting) to 2 or more in combat mostly instant attacks that even can be chained together for better effect?!? Its ridiculous. Yes, possible – but far from fair.(balanced) Note that i’m not even mentioning cds in this.

Lightning hammer? Good idea, except that if you’re simply not build for it. By that i mean: light hammer is so obvious launch that if you’ll need a successful hit you’ll need few seconds in fighting in melee(at least 5-6) – with full zerg build i’ll be dead far before that happens.

I’m really confused what to think here.

On one hand i agree totally on everything – they are doing their best.

On the other hand in my life i’m constantly asked to be “perfect”, even on stupid little things. Well i can’t say i like when I have free time that I must face the imperfections of others. By that i don’t mean the imbalance or bugs that just happen to be, because of acidents, but the fact that some things are not fixed, like ever. Stealth is broken ever since bwe1, “charge” skills too, other things that were added/modified with bug, also are still not fixed – and they are part of the pvp which by template should be at least bug free(you know what i mean). I’m not going to involve money in this matter, because it might become hairy.

I apologize for my rude language when i was not happy about something, i know its not right to use it. But i still wonder should i be sorry for what i said?!?(because most of what i was unhappy about was about bugs and their fixing)

I know this is not new, but i’m positing it anyway.

For 4th map in a row i’m in the Skyhammer. Whats the problem? First of all I’m ele. I don’t have fancy launches or fears that keeps killing people while my whole team is downed and getting it back to normal. Today a downed ranger feared me with his pet while his he and his team were downed – guess what happened?
In addition i rely on casting spells, which obviously is a problem in this map since when you use the high-jumps, you get interupted. I.e. when i use my Ether renewal and run to “this”, no heal and full cd( which is an actual bug on the ele, but dont mind that).

So what? If i must enjoy this map i need to be necro(which in my opinion gets far too much attention lately) or engineer or something?

Sorry for the rage, but… what the hell?

This map is not balanced for all professions to play, its highly bugged and the cannon is unavoidable – 1 engi or necro there is almost like a god, and for the enemy team its obliteration time….

I think it needs to be removed from the tournament list. I even think its not suitable for hotjoin, but thats my opinion.

No rage now. I really think this map is not suited for solo tournaments, please Anet – do something about this.

Ok, not only that this requires awfully large amount of time and nerves to wait for the event to occur in specific zone, but sometimes it doesn’t count it after you finish it?

Made Blazeridge Steppes and the rezult was – nothing. No progress in the achievements tab. I was there for 1 hour for the miserable 2-4g? Please Anet do something about this.

Help choosing a profession

Hello there.

First of all i think you should introduce yourself with the game before choosing that specific profession. Thats because there isn’t tanks, healers and dps professions here. Every class can be high dps, good tank, or good support(that includes heals, cc, shields, etc.) – there isn’t pure healer like in most games, nor tank.

But from what you described i think its closest to the Guardian. Its a basic support class, it has high amount of shield abilities that are useful not only for defending your team, but it can be used with the same efficiency to cc enemies. Its one of the few professions in game that can actually heal allies and it has good control over buffs. So its one of the best CC and support classes ingame. As for the damage, as guardian its quite decent, but you must not expect to match up to thiefs or warriors. One of the things it lack tho is mobility – limited as most of the professions ingame.

In total the Guardian is really good for Dungeons and SPvP(TPvP), average for open world PvE and average for WvW(not good for solo, really good in team).

But i highly recommend to check out the others, all of the professions have something special in them. And to choose – it must fit your game-play style.

Ok so I’ve dont the story dung right after it appeared on my ele(Nash Von Hell), and then it got updated. Now i see everyone getting the reward of karma keg, 1g and some other stuff and i got nothing… please some support on this matter, its not fair.

P.S. I’ve done it 3 times after the update – no reward.

So breaking RtL and not fixing it, how should we feel about it?!? It was said it will not trigger double cd on block(i.e. this should count on immunity, blind,evade too), but no such fix is in the patch notes. How much time we should be intentionally broken?(some old bugs from bwe1 like the stelth with channeled skills or moa with necros are still not fixed)

Yes i’m QQing, but with really good reason – bugs are too rarely fixed, but even more are added and probably wont be fixed in months, or worse – wont be fixed at all.

Evade and blind should be included as fixes, because of the combat balance: you go to someone he puts blind/evades while you still charge +20s cd – gg. You loose damage if nothing else. The other reason is this isn’t real life, evade isn’t real evade, its just block mechanic, same with blind.

WvW and PvE share the same skills, so if it must be nerfed in wvw(which was the point in the first place) it must be nerfed in pve. Tho this thread is not for removing the nerf, but for fixing it to work as they said it should.

Now i’m really unhappy for having this unique double cd when not “hit” target(which is totaly unfair to be applied only to eles in my pov, but anyway…), but i can’t stand it to be broken in this way in addition of the nerf.

Now it triggers the 40s cd when: the target evades, blocks, immunes, if you have blind(artifical “miss”), . It was said on the interview that blocks are “hits” and not trigger cd, immune isn’t much differnet, blind doesn’t function as real blind(otherwise why is my rtl is chasing the enemy?), but as ranged block mechanic – it should also be counted as “hit” tho no damage. And evade is just another version of block to be honest.

I demand(note: i don’t ask politely as i usually would) this to be fixed.

P.S. I’m sorry for the rude language but i’m stunned that not only eles got one-sided unfair nerf(why not wars/thiefs have such thing?), but also their skill is broken.

This is going a bit out of control here. We need to get back to the point. The problem isn’t the heal build. New builds will come out, the ele wont be lost, the community will find a way out of it – “how to handle all professions” build will be found again.

The real problem is the the RtL, no matter what new build is made nothing can repair the movement loss. Until now we could barely escape zergs, just like wars and thief’s can. But with this patch “barely” will become “impossible”. I wont even mention if you have to chase someone, especialy thief/war, but even now chasing thief/war is pretty much impossible so…

The point isn’t in the minor changes that takes out some build(like in this case the heal build, that i think wont come out of the picture), the problem is the global change that affects all builds: RtL.
The problem here is the wvw: It puts the ele on the line with the rest of the slow professions without any reason in it. There wasn’t any announced skills on other professions that will have double cd if they miss, so basicly the devs say: “Its ok wars/thiefs to be able to escape bad situations, but we don’t want the elementalist to also be able to do so”.

I don’t mind any minor changes(besides eles’ heals got nerfed twice already) but not and global ones. Challenges like: “be able to handle all professions” are out of the question – such ones will be found, but here is a “Challenge” for you: figure out how to be almost as fast as thief/war like until this nerf. I’ll be really interested to see how it goes.

Yes it is possible since the legendary created through the mystic forge is bind when equipped. But use mail for this, someone might be looking at the bank at the very moment you’re “trading” and steal them.

I’m actually also on the mind that this should be account bound. And that’s because i don’t think you can dig faster with 2 characters than with single one(the time you play is the same after all). But if it stays soulbound then it should stay in the gem store permanently. Everything so far is account bound(directly or not), this item shouldn’t be exception.

I’ve caught a speed hacker few hours ago(with fraps), and tried to send to exploits@arena.net a report with a clip(since speed hacker can’t be captured in a screen shot/s) but i got error message for undelivered mail. Whats the reason? And if i cant send clips, how should i report effectively such players?

For N-th time i see speed hackers ingame and this time while messing around with my MM necro in random spvp. He was outstanding noob, but still because of this I got really annoyed(he was using speed or some kind fast short-teleportation hack – but it was obvious that is not a skill or something). It wasn’t easy to capture him on fraps because of the people fighting around(i.e. with me), but still i got him in 1v1 situation and he slipped away with his “unknown” speed . The problem now is how to report him, since in here(forums) is forbidden to do such things.

P.S. for some reason this got in the suggestions page, when i clicked “create topic” on players helping players. Please some admin to relocate it.

Starter(character creation) items to SPvP?

I’ve noticed the wardrobes have all items ingame except the starter ones that you select in character creation(the helm and shoulders for guardian, masks for mesmer and necro etc.) is there any way to transfer them from pve to pvp?

Also for legendaries, i know some rare weapons can proc from mystic forge in pvp, but do that include legendaries? If not how to transfer one to spvp?(if its even posible)
Please explain in detail.

If you require the obsidian shards from the temple, you would need quite a lot more karma than this(since you need 250 obsidian shards + around 230 more for clovers)(around 1M karma). I’ve seen the ascended rings have the “unique” tag, but in the same time they look like they have 2 different versions, offensive and defensive. Can one carry the 2 rings from the same kind(stats) with different infusion slots?

The new dungeon system of no releasing when in combat is good. But it causes “this” bug to be even more annoying than before.
If you accidently die on boss fight and your team mates finish it, you get nothing from it – no items, no silver. It doesn’t matter if you stayed alive for 5% or 95% of the fight, if you are dead and the boss dies you get no loot from him.

Before you could release immediately and get the loot from distance( and go to the boss to gather it). Now this is not possible.
Please fix it already.

Currently everything with karma that is soulbound is extremely easy to aquire and things that require tons of karma(i.e. the obsidian shards for legendary) are account bound.

WvW, SPvP & PvE separate trait builds

SPvP goes on a whole different trait build that is saved separately from the PvE and WvW build. I think there should be seperation in the builds also between PvE and WvW.

Note: This is not suggestion for double or tripple builds that can be swtiched at all times in wvw or pve.

I suggest that because the 3 parts of the game are entirely different – the SPvP has reduced stats, the WvW has all stats, but its almost pure PvP and the PvE is… well not PvP. Going on WvW with a build that’s is optimised for killing stuff and not defending with it isn’t the best idea, nor going on with defensive build(used in WvW) as ranged attacker at PvE. Currently its really cheap to reset builds but, its “kinda”(a lot) frustrating to constantly reset traits and replace them in the other build. The problem is actually the replacing.

I’ve noticed that i have played sometimes in all hours of a day(sometimes after midnight, others can’t sleep and just go to play for 30-40 min til i get sleepy again(i have unstable sleep, not addicted to gaming), etc) so i don’t find this any useful since i don’t have that time of the day when I’m always offline.

Reasons for the idea:

After getting the world explorer achievement, I felt that there is no point going back in most of the zones I’ve explored. The dynamic events would give lower rewards than in highest level zones anyway.

Now this is an issue in all MMOs(what i call “useless content”) – you complete the zone once just to get 1 or 2 one time things and never return to it, because its noting else is worth it. In GW2 this is even deeper, because you don’t even need to go in a zone to farm for mats.

I believe that this MMO, its closes to the idea “I just want do my own thing”. It has the sidekick system, the dynamic events gives more than half reward in lowest level zones, compared to highest level ones, no grind, etc.

The idea:

The main thing is: the hearts, a player have already completed to be repeatable every month(probably account based, not to go uncontrolled) with large “unique” rewards(so the players actually feel the need to go and complete them). For example, the Apple tree farm in Queensdale, to give the normal reward + 20 apples. Now this will fix the problem that you have no use in going in that zone(you’ll get some of the apples you need for cooking instead of buying them). Still the “useless content” problem isn’t fixed. Here is why: Every zone must have at least 1 heart which reward is worth something at max level. The max level zones will give for example 20 mithril ore, but can the apples compare to the mithril? No.
The zones need to have a scale up, the 20 mitrhil at max level zone must mean 100 apples at minimum level zone, or 50-60 iron ore in medium level zone.
The coin solutions(instead of big “unique” rewards to give amount of coin), but I’m not mentioning them, because they go in all possible ways i think of them in the “useless content” zone.
Also, these are just examples, don’t take them as possible solutions, as they are right now they’ll also cause major disbalance in the economy of the game. The rewards themselves can be from all kinds: in the examples – mats; but probably it can be a reward from the renown heart karma items(that’s no good, but anyway…); or even 1-2 level based random items(like a small reward chest), etc.

Now i know how this sounds: Absurd, right? It requires a lot of effort to think of the rewards so all zones to be worth visiting every month. And this will take no less time to be implemented until next expansion pack. But i really think GW2 need something like this to be in the game, no useless stuff – everything to be useful, to fill in the idea “I just want do my own thing”, because the game is already designed on that idea, and in my opinion the game its holding its ground as good MMO because of this idea.

I know this will probably not be accepted, but at least let it be considered in some degree.

Scourge – are you going to ask for another trait build aswell? Definitely against this… As for the original idea I’m up for it too. Gosh its annoying to always open the large bags to use some consumable, not to mention if its a combat situation one.

Hmm strange, but isn’t the banner doing exactly this? It revives allies, gives regen(when traited, if all other skills are shouts its especially good), removes all CC and adds long timed fury and 3x might. I don’t see the need of another support like skill in the warrior elites.

Hmm its a good idea, but kinda useless…. For implementation will take quite a lot of effort from the devs, and that precious time can be used for other more useful things. I’m against it.
