Random on the spot fun theories after reading this.

Balthazar was thrown in to the Bastion of the Penitent after he lost the battle in FoW and Menzies stipped him of his power. Deimos could have been bound to Balthazar at one point and then turned against him with Menzies took reign. The knife/dagger could have been a weapon he found/stole/used to escape the prison. The dagger/knife must have some significance to his escape if he’s trying to have a blacksmith recreate it.

So with Menzies’ reputation, you don’t think he took on the title “God of Peace” when he overtook his half-brother? lol

Anyone have a source (video/dialog) of the raid yet. Or even a synopsis of the raid? I don’t see myself doing it anytime soon but I love the story.

Why is the question of why reapers rumble and the mad king dungeon were removed dodged and ignored…I guess we’ll just have to wait/hope until the event page is updated.

Will reapers rumble make a return???

They posted last minute, in a small sentence on a blog post the day before…and then rehashed the same release page from last year…First time since 2005 (release of gw1) with no new mad king story line….really anet? And you couldn’t even re add reapers rumble or the mad king dungeon? This is why I play other mmo’s and casually come back for updates here and there.

The dungeon was fun and something different to do. I remember people being upset that skins could be looted from the chest and people who had played black lion key lotto for those skins were upset (and rightly so). The loot was very generous by today’s standards – adjust the loot table and I don’t see a problem with it. If it’s too short or whatever you didn’t like about it – don’t do it.

Same with Reaper’s Rumble – don’t like it, don’t do it. But some people did love it and the content is there, gathering dust, so why not give us more variety? If they like the concept of limited time content, then at least put them in a rotation so it’s not the same every year, but we could look forward to the year when it does come back.

I feel the same way about alot of other events people forget about. For example – The Repel the invading dragon forces meta event on the final beta weekend. Alot of people had a blast, and of course some people raged, but it was so much fun! It’s sitting there just collection dust.

They got rid of the Mad Kings Dungeon and Reaper Rumble mini game (the LoL/Dota style game) and everyone loved those…

Yes I was so confused when the DE 2.0 knew the name Mordremoth. From my understanding the only thing we had of Mordremoth in game was the combat log (No actual lore) I was really hoping for an appearance of a champion announcing the elder dragons name or something else than magically knowing the new elder dragons name.

Likewise I like how they mentioned the only thing that could hurt Mordremoth is Kormir 2.0…it was terrible story telling in Scarlet’s room. kinda mad there was no discovering of The jungle dragon and it’s name.

I love the theme and story that you have constructed so far for your expansion! The best and well put I’ve seen

but for the class…

A paragon like class (heavy armor/short-medium-long range spear attacks)
Shout Class for heals, buffs and debuffs

Tengu or Quaggan paragons lol

-Existing weapons-
Spears, Tridents, Harpoon-guns, and Harpoons can be used as land weapons.
Short Range/Meele: Trident
Medium Range: Spears (similar to shortbow)
Long Range: Harpoons and Harpoon guns (guns are more slow but high dmg like longbow)

I’m a huge fan of paragon in the first game, and know how amazing they really were…alot of people didn’t give them a try and only thought imba was all they could do.
That would be awesome if they brought a shouting/polearm class back!

I lost all hope with gw2, I went back to WoW/gw1 until something comes out that interest myself and my other loyal gw1 fans.

The scarlet stuff is apparently bigger than guild features to keep players together, let alone the guild systems allows you to be in multiple guilds.

I want to like this game but it’s so hard. It has the potential…

I’m extremely disappointed, this next to the dungeon (which I hope it returns aswell) were my favorite activities last halloween. I don’t see why Reapers Rumble was needed to be taken out….It’s a Moba mini-game in an MMO! What else can you ask for?

Please bring it back Arena Net. I know you guys brought back previous event/quest from the previous holidays in the past, why not now?

- Display a checkbox that lets twahe client know that the message has been read. This flag will prevent the Message of the Day from appearing again unless it’s been changed.
- Make the URL links in the Message of the Day be clickable.

This is a simple feature that kept you updated that was in the first game, why not Guild Wars 2?

I feel like once you buy your own kit you always have access to a server (if you purchase time) Once your server looses time it is removed from the list, but not your inventory….I’m not paying $20 every time I come back from vacation, or if I’m deployed… I find it to make more sense that you would just have to add more time with the tokens…after the grace period. But once again Arena net disappoints me again.

I don’t know if anyone has notice this yet, but it seems they are rebuilding the old Canthan district in DR.

I don’t know for sure if is going to be the Canthan district, but it sounds like it would be due to the recent election all about trade, and alot of the traders on the airship sell Canthan based items.

What do you guys think?

Would you really want, nay, expect a full new continent in January and February? While Fractals of the Mists does hint to Cantha being coming in the near future, I cannot see more than 3-5 zones being made, which is far too little for Cantha’s introduction if you ask me.

Cantha’s more likely to be part of an actual expansion, rather than two possibly-unlinked content updates that are the size of an expansion.

Introduction……not the whole expansion……, maybe a boat of canthans and we finally hear word from of whats going on there. Followed by Tengu maybe involved somehow or something. Just makes sense if they do something with Cantha due to it being Canthan new year.

Canthan New Year was a Major event celebrated in the first game late January through early February.

Maybe an introduction to Cantha, tengu ect…

im glad they are working on it. im personally boycotting this dungeon until they fix it as i am fed up with the frustration this issue brings. i’d rather spend my time elsewhere in the game.

Just no RNG, just add more stuff we can get with tokens, more people will do them.

What do you think about the Pale Tree once being a Champion like Glint? I’m still confused on the Dream and the Nightmare. Are they two parallels or does the nightmare happen after?

It’s going to be called “Sea of Sorrows”, my guess it is going to be the cleaning of Orr and the rest of the Sea of Sorrows. This means they might want to wait awhile and let a majority of the players beat the story-line first before they release it. Also I remember someone asked Ree in an interview how far is she in the writing process of the book, I believe she said she was over half way done. (That was a year or more ago.)

So was it not in the patch notes, or is it going to take longer?

Another thing
I remember a quote of a charr saying to another that there are charr cubs starving in Cantha. Strange, never knew charr were in Cantha. May have happened in the 100 years after gw1 that we actually still had contact. Maybe the other races that did go to cantha are slaves for the Human master race empire and we have to get the tengus help because there are still tengu there being enslaved aswell.

Just some ideas I thought of. Prob sound crazy :P

Well we know that Tengu were supposed to be the 6th playable race, but anet didn’t have time to do so on release. So this gives them more time to put more work into the race and storyline. I don’t think we will get anything big about them until a new campaign/expansion.

Also….I don’t think it says it ANYWHERE “in-game”, when the monthly’s reset. I’m on a NA server, so I would think It wouldn’t reset until Midnight Eastern, or PST.

Also I don’t have as much time as other players, with a job, school, and other things, and today is the start of the weekend where I can find some time to play the game. When I only needed 50 more Karka kills for the monthly and was killing them as it reset….it kinda sucks.

I wasn’t thinking the December monthly achv. were going to start at 7 PM Eastern on November 30th….
