My girlfriend wants to play Guild Wars 2 with me but the only thing that is keeping her from playing is the keyboard & mouse. She will not even touch the mouse with the buttons on the side! This is because she had always been a console gamer, and she is unable to play with the keyboard and mouse. She finds it awkward to press the function keys and number keys to use skills while pressing w/a/s/d or arrow keys to move WHILE using the mouse to look around (don’t forget the barrel roll :P). In short, she refuses to play unless she can use a controller.

I know there are layouts for 360 controllers that are already made for the game, but I was wondering if there are any sites that would let me have a customized programmable wired controller? The reason why I said wired is because I would like to add a lot of buttons under the controller and i wouldn’t want the battery section get in the way of that.

If it helps she wants to play as a Guardian so you know how many button commands that already has.

I’ve been playing GW2 with a xbox 360 controller since launch. I’m at work and can’t give you the setups for it but here are the two programs you can use to make it work. Xpadder or pinnaclegameprofiler.com. Pinnacle works really good but you’ll have to pay for it it’s just $20 I think. Good luck.

Yes it’s suppose to be like that, remember it’s just a gem store skin not a legendary.

Everyone’s got their own opinion of what their top 100 is. Some of these games you haven’t even played so you can’t make judge me if its good or not. I’m just sharing because GW2 made it in there somewhere.

To do that Click the 2 on the lower left hand corner when you open xppader up and then just input what skill goes where to the button. But remember to switch to 1 on the lower left hand corner of xppader first before opening gw2 to make it work.

Here’s my Xpadder setup if you’re interested.

So as above, the X button is skill 1 and if you hold it for .20 of a second it will do skill 7.

Click on the button and a keyboard screen shows up and click on advanced and input keys as in my picture below.

Too expensive to salvage, I would rather go with the copper.

Youtube if you need help. I would rather go with a warrior if you’re doing pvp. A condition warrior is best for me so it’s up to you.

I’m currently using Pinnacle Game Profiler program for my Xbox 360 controller to play GW2. The program is $9.99 and they have all setups for all kinds of pc game. You can setup the buttons how you like it too. attachment is my setup. If you don’t want to pay you can go with a different program such as Xpadder but with this program you’ll have to set up everything by yourself. I decide to go with Pinnacle because it works with SweetFX and Xpadder doesn’t.

Sweetfx is so much easier.

I spent $200 on patch day and now a week later they have this promotional deal now, and oh by the way I didn’t get anything worth the $200 (was hoping for endless monkey king tonic or permanent hair style kit.) Gonna step away from this game for awhile in the mean time Firefall rocks.

Just my thoughts, but if I were gonna make a Cloud toon, I would totally use the Guild Sunderer.

I used to have the guild sundere but I kept transmuting back and forth and somehow lost it along the way before the feature pack. And now I don’t have enough guild accommodations to buy it again lol maybe in a couple of months I’ll get it again.

You have to bind right arrow and right click together to get it to not move when you use right joystick.

There is a guild that does the same thing every Wednesday.

Get the backpack, engineers are the only one that can aquire that backpack when creating a charater. The goggles u can get them during your adventure in the game.

I bought a Mistforge greatsword and when I use transmutation charge to transmute other greatsword to the Mistforge greatsword it doesn’t have the glow on it. Does anyone have the same problem?

I have experience in the mmo genre (comming from WoW). Now im interested in leveling up an elementalist and im interested in competitive PvP/WvW. Now the question is:

Do i really need a gaming mouse or gaming keyboard to be competitive ?

Will i be fine with keybindings only ?

U can try a xbox 360 controller, you’ll have to setup everything to hiw ever u like. That’s what I’m using every time I play this game, I’m not use to keyboard and mouse.

Go with condition u will have more toughness and die harder.

I think u can transmute AC weapons with legendary weapons to get make some of the effects glow bigger but only works in the night and in dungeons because AC weapons glow during the night only.

I’m thinking about gearing my ranger to reach 30k HP with around 950 condition damage, 2500 armor, and 1500 attack power. Just not sure if this is a good build in wvw.

3. U are level 2 that’s why those level enemy can one shot and killed u. For them not able to kill u, u have to be higher level then they are. Make sense?

Weapon skins and armor skins u can apply them as many as u want to your armors bit they require u transmutation charges. One transmutation charge is required to apply that skin to that weapon/armor. Transmutation charges are sell in the bank or u can get them from playing in pvp. With guild banks, only high officers can take things out unless they let everyone access it.

I’m putting GW2 on halt and playing neverwinter and path of exile until there’s new content. With 11 80s no new contents it’s sure getting bored. Will save my 2000g for future use.

I’ve been using xpadder all this time with my xbox controller and I can’t play GW2 without it.

I thought xpadder was free. Had mine for the longest time and have been using a xbox controller all this time. I just can’t get use to keyboard and mouse all. U just have to tweak the buttons to your liking. Ground targeting is hard if u play classes that uses alot of it. The only bad thing about xpadder is u can’t play with sweetfx. When sweetfx is running some how xpadder stops working. Other than that I love xpadder.
