Constantly getting disconnected

Central Europe player here. Since about the start of this week I also get a lot more random disconnects than I ever had before with this game. Everything is fine ping and connection wise and I just suddenly lose connection to the server and get booted to character select.
Now given, it’s way less frequent that with some of you guys, but it happened quite a few times this week and today even 2 times in the course of five minutes.
Which was rather annoying, as one of those dcs rolled my account back like 30 seconds and I lost out on a nice drop from a container I opened. (The second time I opened it I got a different item)
Than there also are the problems with pvp queue that seem to go on at the moment.
A lot of people just get kicked from the queue again and again.
I wonder if they have got some problem with their login servers.

The focus for the thief in PvP for this update clearly was to give it some more condition removal for the price of endurance. Which I find an interesting change and am curious to see how it will work out.
But along that train of thought I was just wondering about the skill “Shadowstep”.
The secondary skill after you activate it (“Shadow Return”) let’s you remove conditions aswell.
The problem though, is that you will teleport back to your original position where you used it, which usually was to get you out of harms way in the first place.
So if you really have to use “shadow return” for condi cleanse it tends to kill you anyway.
Now with all that said, I was wondering if you ever considered to move 1 of the condition cleanses from “shadow return” to “shadowstep”?
(To give you a small cleanse if activating return is to dangerous in the given situation. But if you can use return you get the full benefit of it)
Or did you decide against it on purpose? If so, what were the reasons behind it?

You know what the real problem is with raids?
It’s not about their requirements or that most players can’t play them because of that.
The problem is, that they are unique.
They provide a great dungeon crawler/ adventure experience with good storytelling. Lot’s of extra things and flavour to discover.
Great atmosphere.
Thanks to all the dialogue and interjections from the different players commenting about the environment they feel very alive.
You don’t have to do them in one sitting, as the instance remembers your progress even if you leave. (At least for a week)
With how large the individual maps are, you sometimes get the feeling it’s like an open world map made just for your little group to discover.
The whole presentation in raids just feels very well rounded with an epic story that isn’t split into lot’s of little instances and therefore giving of a very expansive vibe.
And all that combined makes raids in GW2 unique as there is nothing like it for the more casual crowd.
If we also had 5 man dungeons that were just like raids but a lot easier (like other lvl 80 dungeon in the game) way less people would complain. They still couldn’t play the raids themself, but they would have a casual friendly equivalent that’s just as good with it’s own unique stories and everything.
Just imagine if the regular dungeons in GW2 were like raids in their way of story telling, atmosphere and everything else…
Now that would be awesome.
So what we really need is a new “Dungeons 2.0” generation that are built like raids, but with a lower difficulty in mind.

Rating deviation will no longer increase in future season to stop situations like this.

I’m glad to hear that.
Such big swings were not good for either side, winning or losing.

actually you are stuck in a loss win win loss win win situation as you cant get back from one loss with one win you need at least two wins in a row to compensate one loss which is really frustrating…

I noticed that too. It’s feels a bit unfair if you win 2/3 of your games and still get stuck at the same rating I feel.
But I guess that’s a discussion for another topic

So I stopped actively playing pvp this season at around Christmas time and didn’t really play any ranked pvp again till today. Of course over all that time I had accumulated the maximum of 700 decay.
After so much time of not playing I got fairly rusty and played really bad my first few matches. (Quite a few of my teammates played even worse than me though, which didn’t help either).
So the first 4 matches I played like this, obviously were horrible loses.
After not playing for so long I expected to lose quite some points for a loss (like 30-40)
But what I saw after each of the matches was a bit over the top.
So not only did I lose around 30 points for my loss as expected but also the 100 points of decay I though I would get back, regardless of win or loss.
Meaning after my first game I went from 1477 rating down to 1347.
130 points in 1 game!!
The 3 other losses after this I also lost very high amounts.
So after those 4 lost and 3 won matches I was at like 1050 points.
I mean, isn’t that a bit overly punishing for playing while having decay?
I can understand that you should lose more points after such a long time of inactivity, but this much?!
I’m slowly climbing back up again now (1167) but those first matches lost me so many points in like 40 minutes, I will never be able to get that much back in a reasonable time frame. Especially not with like ~15 points per win now.
All in all I wasn’t expecting to get any higher that the start of platinum any more with my rusty skills at the moment(not that I’m that great of a player when at my peak), but I would at least have liked to get a fair go at it.
So I was just wondering is this intentional?
Should you lose THIS much while having decay?
Because I feel this is quite a bit unfair if you don’t have the time or just want to take a break from gw2 pvp, to handycap those players so heavily.

I’m not even playing elementalist but seeing those fireballs on the staff and the FGS really made me sad. It just looks awful and puny Q.Q
Plz give us back the awesome fireballs not those sparks we got now…
I mean cull down the explosion on impact a bit if you must, but the projectile itself never was an issue imo.

Well hurray, instead of doing dungeons which were at least somewhat engaging, our only option to get what we want now is to mindlessly run in a zerg and spam 11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 on the ranged weapon of our choice….
I honestly feel like throwing up over this “great change”.

I’m really sad to hear this. I mean I’m no elitist “I solo fractals 50 blabla” guy, just your average player, but I expected some fun challenging content from them for Hot.
In the open world as well as in the story missions.
There is no fun in a story as well written as it may be if all the challengesthey present you with are basically dummies to bash on.
After the huge let down the original personal story was difficulty wise, I hoped for something that feels like an actual threat we have to overcome for the hot story+maps.
Up to this day I feel sorry for Zhaitan and the disgraceful way he had to die. No sense of accomplishment at all
On the twitch live streams they said they wanted change and for zerker not to be the be all and end all. Mking everything extremely easy is definitely not the way to go.

I had hope, but I am fearful this night of what is to come…

So I just saw a picture of the new “Wings of Glory” pvp back item. I must say this is in my opinion the most awesome looking backpiece in all of GW 2.
I just love the stained glass aesthetics of it.
But as I’m not really into pvp in GW 2 and would never ever be good enough to reach the legendary division, I have already forsaken the idea to ever call this wonderful thing my own.
Now I could ramble on how that drives me (slightly) insane, but instead I have a request.
Can we some time in the future of GW 2 get a weapon/armour set with this awesome look ? Pretty please

2) In final (23 june) realease notes it is said:
“Hidden Barbs: Bleeding you cause deals 33% more damage.”
But INGAME it is 20%.

I bet this isn’t a bug and they just nerfed it without changing the patchnotes…sigh

4. Shadow’s Embrace: This trait behaves just like Shadow Rejuvination by not removing any conditions as soon as you stealth.

I really hope this is a bug
Otherwise our condi removal with this trait would be hit even harder than I thought :/

The regen “shadow protector” gives to allies when granting stealth doesn’t seem to work with the revival minor trait from shadow arts. Only gave regeneration to myself but not to the person I rezzed.
Can someone confirm this?

If you need to increase world boss and some other mobs health, fine.
If you need to reduce damage in PvP in general, fine.
But PLEASE, whatever you do, DON’T balance Pve according to PvP balance issues.
Most people haven’t even realised conditions can be viable now in Pve. There are still so many groups for dungeons only searching for zerkers.
People haven’t even got the idea of useful condition specs in their heads.
PLEASE don’t kill condis in Pve again before we even had a chance…

(On a side note: Why the nerf to bleeding? That’s realy unfair for classes like the warrior with stuff S/S who mainly rely on their bleeds T.T )

From the list of Engineer traits on Dulfy, it looks like Deadly Mixture is gone, and Juggernaut is now a stability trait rather than a flamethrower trait. Flamethrower builds are taking a big hit unless the TBD traits compensate. The Might from Jug and the damage boost from Mixture partially made up for Flamethrower’s poor damage coefficients.

Although I’m not that much of an engineer player I kind of liked the flamethrower stuff. But as engi is the class they have worked on the least so far, there is good potential we will get something for it. And if not we can at least draw attention to it. As is the point of this threat.

I stand corrected. I completely forgot about Patience.

For a place for Inspiring Banners:

I’d replace the double res traits in the TACTICS adept line with inspiring banners.

I assume you mean tactics minor line not adept. Because the 2 res traits are the mandatory miner ones.

So as they said on the live stream they would look into traits they forgot or if they totally destroyed the spirit of certain builds people were running, I decided to make this topic.

One for me pretty important thief trait was totally gone: “Infusion of Shadow” (Gain 2 initiative when entering stealth)

This was a pretty good trait to keep your initiative high while doing your cloak and dagger->backstab chains. So you could more easily retain the bonus of “first strikes” from the critical strikes line.
Furthermore it was good to get some initiative back when your cloak and dagger was blocked or blinded by the enemy. So you wouldn’t immediately run out of initiative.
It was also an essential trait on the D/P because the stealth combo on this weapon set is very high cost and could have you run out of initiative pretty fast otherwise.
It would really sadden me to see this option totally gone for the thief.

So my suggestion would be to replace resilience of shadows with it as a new grandmaster minor.
Then you could put resilience of shadows as a new master trait instead of shadow protector, which to me seems a bit underwhelming as a master trait.
(Was shadow protector used by many people?)
Maybe add shadow protector to another trait if people liked it.

Another important trait that is missing is the warriors “Inspiring banners” ( Banners apply their bonuses to a larger area. Reduces recharge on banners. )

This could simply be added to the new “Inspiring battle standard” in my opinion. At least the cooldown reduction for the banners.

So feel free to add any traits you found that where missing in the new system and maybe even make a suggestion where they could fit.
I hope the devs see this and maybe find a good place for those traits that are now completely missing and aren’t baseline either.

I have to admit, the changes to the trait system make me at the same timer very exited and very worried.
So here are my questions:

1. What will happen to increased condition/ boon duration?

With those two values being removed from trait lines, what will happen to players who rely on those boosts? Even if we would get new gear with those stats, we would have to give up others we have just to retain our current condition or boon duration. Ultimately making those characters weaker.

2.Will we still be able to use lower tier “traits” in higher tiers? Edit: (Scrap the question and make it a rant instead XD Read over the article again. We won’t be able to)

When I play with my d/d thief in pve I usually use all adapt traits in “shadow arts” to fit my needs. If I’m now locked to use only 1 trait of each tier, not only will the diversity of my build options and my choice of play style be very limited, but potentially even weakening my character. ]

3.With more stats now moved to armour and base character stats, will the current balance we achieved with our characters be kept in mind? Or will we now be forced to change our equipment to retain it?

With only exotic gear this wouldn’t be such a problem, but what about those with ascended equipment? Not everyone has the time or skill to just farm huge amounts of money every day. Getting ascended equipment can be very time and money consuming , especially if you play several characters. So this could mean a lot of extra effort for people just to retain the balance between offence and defence they achieved for their characters. This becomes even worse if you need several gear sets for different parts of the game.

4. Will we have to complete all hero challenges (skill challenges) on our lvl 80 characters who have all their traits unlocked to retain the traits we got now? Or will I be stripped of my traits just because I haven’t done world completion on him/her yet?

If I’m doing world completion on a character I usually like to take my time and enjoy it. But if I can’t continue to play the usual content with my characters anymore because my traits will basically be stripped from me I would need to rush finish all the skill points just to get back what I have now. Which I really would hate to be forced to.

i dont even see why we shouldnt talk about it, and please dont ruin the thread with naysaying or these superficial “solutions” like everyone is a game designer now, it only makes a thread cluttered, hard to read and tbh it turns the thread into “just another complain thread we can skip”. I only asked if they said anything about their plans to fix it, because it DOES need fixing since it is pretty flawed

In general conditions aren’t that bad in some situations as a lot of people make them out to be I think. But yes they definitely need something to make them more viable at worldbosses, destroyable objects and dungeons. I like condi builds and it’s kinda sad I don’t get many chances to use them in those respects. Let alone feel effective enough.

Revenant Legends - Scarlet Briar

No Scarlet because she’s not a legend.

Before anyone yells, back up and think about it for a second. She’s not a legend, she’s a FACT. People know her, and know just what she did. There’s solid documentation on a lot of it, and lots of the people that met her are still around.

A legend needs time to grow. To become its own thing. To take on a life of its own. Scarlet’s story hasn’t done that yet. You can say she was epic, but you can’t really call her a legend. Not so soon.

One definition of “Legendary” is remarkable enough to be famous; very well known. which I think Scarlet qualifies for even now. Of course I’m not advocating for her to be one that is channeled as I like a lot of other people better and she doesn’t even make it into my top 10 (maybe top 20 though).

That is the only definition that would make sense, because all the other legends are just as much “FACT” as scarlet is. Just think about Glint. She just died 8 years before the end of living world season 2. Destinies Edge knew her in person.
And with her now being confirmed through datamining, the argument that Scarlet just recently died doesn't count anymore. She could become a future legend for the Revenant just like Glint.
Btw ever heard the expression “He/She is a living legend”? If we can have living ones, why not shortly deceased ones

Having recently played the revanent albiet mainly using hammer. I would say that scarlet could potentially make a good legend if done right. The current legends do not provide any method of faster movement. Given Scarlett’s ability to teleport and so on, that could provide the fast travel / speed burst currently missing ( unless the other wepeons set allows for faster movement already)

Yes I think her playstyle would definitely include something chaotic and fast I’d say. Just think about the fractales of the mists. All those things were materialized from the mists trough magitech from the asura. Scarlet could basically create any gadget she can think of out of mist energy.

(PS: Sorry if that came across as super negative. I don’t mean for any of it to be personal OP. Scarlet just makes me throw up a little.)

No problem, we all have different opinions. At least you were no kitten about it like some other people.

From all the evil guys that died since the release of GW-2, I would say the one most likely to become a legend would be Gaheron Baelfire, because:
- He was no dragonminion

Sooo.. When (at some point) season one becomes available.. We can eliminate Scarlet… While channeling.. Scarlet? I don’t see Revanents prior ro Rytlock as canon breaking.. but channeling Scarlet or any of the fallen order heroes would really break it for me.

To be honest I don’t think we will see season one before 2016 if not later.
But if you think about it, you can few it as reliving a part of the past. Just like with the personal story. It’s all in the past and wouldn’t make sense otherwise.
I mean, for some of my characters who didn’t finish PS yet, Mordremoth would be awake and the pact fleet destroyed by him before they could even kill Zhaitan if you don’t view it this way.


So some people in map chat already spoiled it to me who are going to be the last 3 legends. (yeah, that’s exactly how I wanted to hear about it -.-)
To be honest I kind of expected that Scarlet wasn’t going to be one of the starting Legends for the Revenant. But I still think she could and should become one in the future, when they are going to add more.
I still think it would make sense, depending on where the devs ultimately take story. Will she be a key character on our way to defeat Mordemoth, just like it maybe was originally planed? (read the article I linked to in my original post)
Or did they rewrite it because she -sadly- wasn’t liked by many of the players?
I really do wonder how it all will turn out. Because it could strongly affect her chances for the spot of a Revenant legend.

That depends on the perspective.
For a mayfly that only lives like a day, 2 years are hundreds of lifetimes. I guess that would could as old ;P

(Snip)…Most of her insight into the Leylines were given to her by the Eternal Alchemy, so I don’t see a lot of lyeline related skills.

Was it? I thought she found all that trough her own research. I have to look that up somewhere.
But I don’t see how it would ultimately matter how she acquired her knowledge about them concerning skills.

Not a bad idea.
There are however a lot of cool possible legends and only so many utility slots the revenant can get.
We’ll have to wait and see

But who knows, maybe a dev gets hooked on the idea and we see her one expansion further down the line. One can dream you know haha ^^

Well, that would be interesting but the thing is that she doesn’t fit in any fighting style at all. The best we could guess from her is that she is a kinda Engineer.
I’d say that at best she could be involved in a specialization but not in the core profession.

I disagree. If you think about it there are a lot of styles you could come up with for Scarlet.
I mean, what had Mallyx to do with conditions? You just need something that feel about right for her character or fit for the story around her.
Just to dive into the engi thing you mentioned:
You could give her skills like 3 different effects like some of the engineer stuff has, that proc at random when you use them and give her a really chaotic play style. The unstable/unpredictable nature of the mist thing. Make those skills quite powerful but require a lot of attention and skill to master their randomness.
Or if you want to go with her focus on alliances or the fact that she completed all 3 of the Asura collages you could go with some kind of combi skills.
Along the line of : If you activate skill 7 for example after skill 8 you get like a knockdown as bonus effect on it. Or activate skill 6 (heal) in a time window of like up to 5 seconds after your skill 9 or your elite skill you shadowstep to a random spot behind you or your enemy.
There is a lot of cool and more elaborated stuff the devs could come up for her. Those were just some random examples I could quickly come up with.

Revenant Legends - Scarlet Briar

I think everyone who has player season 1 of guild wars 2’s living story knows her name: Scarlet Briar.

Now, opinions on her were varied.
For me, at first I didn’t really like her. She felt like a bit of an excuse to just make new alliances out of old enemies.
But the closer we got to the end of season 1, the more she grew to me.
I somehow got this feeling that she wasn’t actually evil, despite all the bad things she did. And in the end when she ultimately found her end on the Breachmaker, I even felt sorry for her.
But still, I couldn’t quite grasp logical reasons for why I thought she wasn’t just all bad.
In the end I just wrote it of as me having a thing for “potentially misunderstood characters”.
Then just recently I stumbled across an interesting article about her that actually gave reasons to back up what I felt.

Some probably wouldn’t call her a “hero” despite what is mentioned in said article. But in the end she at least did the right thing even though she had to accept several bad things happening on the way there.
(Now some of you that followed the story of the living world more closely than me and actually put a bit more thought in the whole topic, probably have come to a similar conclusion.)
For those who actually read the article:
Depending on where the devs want to take the story in “heart of thorns”, it will be interesting to see if Scarlet and her actions and inventions like the miasma or her watchknights will ultimately be key to defeating Mordremoth.

With all the above being said.
As I saw a lot about the new Revenant class and the legends that will accompany it, shortly after reading the above article, it struck me like lightning.
Wouldn’t it be an awesome surprise if one of the Revenants legends actually would be Scarlet?
What we saw so far about legends, they are all characters from the past and Gw1 lore. Which is fine and there are definitely enough interesting ones to fill all the slots for the
Revenant, but I believe it would be an interesting twist and a nice way to honour the more recent history and characters of Gw 2 they created. (and a funny way to troll people who didn’t like her ^.^)
With most of the Sylvari now being minions of Mordremoth and considering what Scarlets goal was in the end, I personally think it would be logical and quite hilarious to see her as a legend for the Revenant.
What do you guys think? :P

Instead of utilizing the official forums to post unfounded complaints that most people don’t want to read, my honest advice from you is to start a blog where you can write things like this to your heart’s content.

First of all, you are neither a dev nor a moderator in this forum, so you have no right to tell me what I can and what I can’t write here.
Furthermore if people don’t want to read it, than why are you here?
What about making your own blog and complain there about posts you don’t like instead of this forum?

Sorry, but I don’t get why all of this hostile stuff here is really necessary. Sometimes people can get carried away by there emotions, exaggerate and stuff, but different people also make different experiences. There isn’t always only one truth.

Onwards…
I have to admit, maybe I exaggerated a bit in some points. But I was just so frustrated yesterday, because the last days I played, it was so difficult for me finding a proper group and everyone everywhere just stacked. Even in fractals, where I thought it wasn’t so popular like in AC.
It took me ages to form a party when I tried to make my own in fractals. Some people joined here and there but it just took to long and they left again and again.
Then I was kicked from a dungeon group where I was asked if I couldn’t change to a warrior or guardian.
Of course I don’t join those groups which say “full zerker speed run heavys only”.
All that just made me furious and I had to get this of my chest as it was kind of bothering me for some time now since I started to play actively again.

So now, why the title about “heavys”?
Mainly because they really make the whole stacking so common and successful. From what I have experienced it doesn’t really work with medium and light armour groups.
I mean, it’s not like I don’t like warrior or guardian, I also play them myself but the stacking stuff with them just annoyed me more and more.

Stacking can be viewed as “putting yourself at strategic position”. It has it purpose, a well thought one.

You have a Point there I agree and I’m sure there are people who still have a lot of fun with stacking, I never ruled that out. It just isn’t for me anymore.

Well I guess I just have to find a guild that has no problems with my fickle playing habits XD

It makes me sad.
Back in the days when the game was still young, you could enter dungeons with any class and even non lvl 80 characters.
Nowdays it all has come down to lvl 80 only and warriors and guardians.
Sometimes you see an elementalist or a mesmer when they are usefull to have in certain dungeon paths, but appart from that…
The other fore classes are unwanted. Eigther nobody joins your group or you get kicked and if you are lucky you are merely tolerated.
I haven’t seen any group without warrior/guardian in ages. Sometimes you even get a direct hit by reading in a group description: “No class X or Y”
We don’t want you, go away, your class is garbage. So to speak.
But if that wasn’t bad enough, even if you get in with someone, you don’t play those dungeon paths anymore.
All you do is “stack”.
You stack in this corner, you stack in that corner. You just stay there spamming you skills. No tatics, no evading, no movement or any kind of fun mechanics, it isn’t even a fight anymore.
Sure, it if fast and it works with those guardians, warriors and all the nice support and stuff they bring. But it is BORING AS HELL.
Everyone just wants his loot as fast as anyway possible, actually playing the game and having fun doing it isn’t important anymore.
Back in the day I was having fun doing those dungeons and stuff.
We weren’t always very fast, we failed quite some time, it was frustrating from time to time.
But I also remember all the fun I had with people fighting together, challenging, but still rewarding.
Sure I also want my gold and I know doing the same path(s) every day can get quiet tedious, but sometimes it would be SO refreshing to do the stuff again the way it was once meant to be done.
Fight the mobs properly, use my skills I have aquired and just have a nice time together, without worrying about beeing to slow or not doing enough damge.
A few weeks ago I thought at least in fractals I don’t have to really stack. But apperently I was wrong.
More and more groups seem to stack now ervery mob possible. Molten and aetherblade fractal beeing very prominent ones.
It’s a really frustrating development the people playing gw2 took. And it really ruined the fun I once had playing it…sigh

It’s strange. I somewhat feelt sad for her when i saw her dead body in that cutscene.
I got a feeling in these last LS updates that Scarlet wasn’t only bad or corrupted, but while on one hand working for the dragon on the other she also did something that will help tyria in the long run we just can’t see yet.
Maybe I’m wrong, maybe this is all just wishful thinking, a hope for a major plot twist of sorts, but still.
Wouldn’t it be nice if “Caithe, someday you will see. Tyria needs me” was more than just delusional words of a twisted mind?
I guess I just have a thing for “missunderstood” characters ^^

What also is going on my nerves is that no one seems to have the patience to let me watch the cutscenes. I at least want to watch them once to get the story and everything behind it. even in explorable mode

One thing that really annoys me is that people even tend to skip some stuff where the reward is quiet nice.
For example Lieutenant Kholer in Ac which is just a few minutes of extra fighting but I usualy get like 10-15 silver from him + the tokens, an item and a bit of karma.
I’m ok with skipping in some small dungeon parts, but skipping 50% of a dungeon just is extremly boring…

I wonder if we will get all the stuff they talked about in the years before release, like minigames and npc acting different depending on your charakters charme, dignity, feriocity.
I realy do hope so, because the minigames were quite fun in GW 1 and there always were a lot of people participating in it. Would love to get that feeling again and see the mayor cities populated again. It’s just so lonely in there…
Just a small idea: One thing you could do to let people at least know that there is a minigame in a town is to add one of the orange circles to it like with events.
So people would at least take a look at what this could be.

If you transmute something it becomes bound, I think soulbound.

The whole pet vs monster aoe in general is a pretty annoing thing. As no pet or summoned minion evades they are pretty much useless against enemies with a lot of aoe or strong burst stuff like boss attacks.
Yes, this is especially bad for rangers as theire pet is mandatory.
My ranger is only lvl 20 at the moment, but I have already come across the pet problem wit some monsters. Probably an active “evade” ability for ranger pets would be nice. Or make them evade when you do or somehting like that.
Well i hope the will implement a solution for this sometime.

About the farctal weaopns:
They could add a token system with high costs in addition to the RNG. So you eigther get them by beeing lucky or just playing the fractals a lot but then get the weapon you want. At least some goal you could work towards, just like with the other dungeon skins.

I really wonder why they didn’t give pets the owners AR from the start. I hope they will change this in some future Patch
The whole fractale weapon thing is also bugging me. Would have liked them to be buyable with tokens too, like all the other dungeon skins.
Because with my luck it will take me two years till I got the ones I want… sigh

Yes, some of those events realy seem to be broken or so.
When I did queensdale the first time, there were some events that were so regulary like most of the other stuff now, but they never happen nowdays.
One example is the whole swamp event chain.
Another one which comes to my mind is the stuff in the monastery. Where have all those centaures gone that frome time to time raided it for some good beer?
It’s like this event never existed in the first place.
And probably there is even more I didn’t even notice it dissapeared
makes me kinda sad, bacause some areas feel totaly empty without theire events. Thats boring

I can confirm that fractal weapon skins (exotic weapons) drop from the daily reward chest Fractal lvl 20+

My team got one fractal weapon yesterday

The bigger question is the drop of infused ascended rings. I assume they drop at lvl 30+

Good to hear, now we at least know when to start farming for those weapons.

To answer your question. Wiki says the following:
“Level 21: Infused rings begin to drop from bonus chests (ring with +5 agony resistance). "

For all those that don’t seem to know, these weapons are EXOTIC.
So we are not talking about any ascended gear here.
The main problem here is that, the weapons probably drop at such a high lvl that only the most hardcore groups can reach it. And than there most likely it only is some small drop chance.
So a lot of people who like the skins can probably never get them as they don’t have the time/ skill to ever get there.
Thats also what worries me, because those weapons look great and I want several of them, but I don’t have the time to speen thousands of hours just for a few weapons.

This whole thing is even worse than i expected. Didn’t they themselves say that grinding for an item with a drop chance isn’t fun an therefore implemented the token system?
This was great and i love it as you can make a bit of progression every run.
What do we get now.
Exactly that, a drop chance. And it gets even better. No it can’t drop from the beginning, in adddition you first have to reach a certain fractal lvl.
And than they are accound bound so you can’t get them on the TP….

That realy frustrates me, as I like the fractal skins quiet a lot and wanted to get one for almost every of my 8 characters.
But now I don’t even know if I will even be able to get any at all.
If they just drop at insanly hight fractale lvls I will most likely never reach those in the first place.
And If i do, I just don’t want to grind for 100+ runs just for one skin.

The more i get to know aout this patch the worse it gets.
I just want to end that agony…..

I was just wondereing because there are already chat codes for the preview on various sites, so there has to be something in the gamedata already.

If this whole thing really introduces a item threadmill then I will lose every trust I had in Anet.
I was always on theire side and thought they would take the right way, but this…it just sounds totaly awful. Especially when you can only get the new armour stuff in this dungeon.
What about the people who aren’t that good to progress enough in the dungeon to get this new stuff?
Would be really sad about something like that

Strange, i only get the normal LA music. I also want to hear the halloween themes in townes.
It’s just not the same with not fitting music

PS: I just heared the old GW 1 themesong in LA played with bells. Now that also soundet pretty spooky. But i wonder is this there all the year or just now?
