When “tab” targeting was changed, target nearest was changed as well, making it so that the nearest enemy is almost definitely not targeted. Now it takes high priority targets from “tab targeting” before it considers the nearest enemy in front of you.
I need both.
A little off subject, but given the time needed and in some cases luck of the draw, it would have been nice for a title to be associated with the Invasion Canceler achievement.
Yeah because having luck in not getting bugged and having luck in getting all the maps you need to pop when you’re available really deserves a title. I don’t think Anet has EVER had a title for something because of luck. At least they didn’t in GW1. Even the LUCKY title was grind, not luck.
It may be latency related, but I live in the US, and I have very low ping usually, even though I’m tethering with my phone.
On the other hand, I have had really bad skill lag and such from the Guild Wars servers recently, so maaaybe.
Those that kitten about not being able to keep track…. just make a word document…. duh,i did that with dungeons too… how DARE Anet make us think for ourselves
It’s ignorant kittens like you that have made it so this hasn’t been fixed. There was a bug, or at the very least bad communication, for getting credit. I kept a record and didn’t realize the achievement was off until later, after thinking I had done 7 or 8 maps.
So I’m not sure if the devs know, but this bug needs some sort of retroactive fix. Yes, retroactive. Sure, you can get your code right, but the players don’t necessarily know on what map your code screwed up.
Either tell us which ones we supposedly haven’t done, or reduce the number of maps we need total for the achievement. Send us a godkitten mail if you have to, with which maps we need.
If we don’t get this in the next few days, I will have lost all hope for Anet. First they botch the PvP, and now they can’t implement their living story transparently, or hell, even attempt at reconciling with the players over this absolute debacle.
It is incredibly disgusting that they would dare introduce a merely 2-week long, random chance, bug-ridden achievement with no tracker. Fix it. This should be TOP priority. Your kitten is broken.
I’ve done nearly every map three times. And I give up until I know which one I still need to do and can do it.
- Every map will be invaded at least once per day, probably twice. In some cases, three times.
…- If you play at the same time every day, you will see all 13 maps by the end of the Clockwork Chaos release.
I’ve done all 13 maps and I’m stuck at 12/13. How could you FAIL that badly.
I don’t want to do the invasions anymore. They BORE and ANNOY the kitten out of me. At this point ANet should just give everyone the achievement and admit they are too stupid to program a counter correctly.
I agree with this so very much. Well, maybe not everyone should get the achievement. Change it to 10 maps instead of 13. That way there’s lee-way for stupid bugs and bad communication.
Party up with people and attack what they’re attacking. Any damage at all seems to be enough to tag with a low-level if you’re partied and attacking party targets.
No, a champion is not required. The dev just said that champs always spawn from the portals, so always count toward the event. You still have to tag other little enemies from the portal though, not from remains.
If you party with people, it’s A LOT easier to tag enemies with low-level characters. Tagging enemies means you’ll hopefully get event credit.
It’s extremely hard to get credit for the clockwork events, even for level 80 characters, though, because adds spawned from remains don’t count and there’s no way to tell if it’s been spawned from the portal or remains.
On top of that, it seems you have to tag multiple enemies from each portal, so if you get there when there’s just a champ and the event is about to spawn its last batch of enemies, killing the champ isn’t enough for credit.
Okay, so it’s not “for” low-level characters, but low-level characters can do it if you party up and get lucky on just one event by tagging enough enemies.
I have to agree with most of the sentiment in this thread. Why was the correct way to finish these meta-events not released right away? Even worse, we have to search all over the forums to find answers to questions.
Why are there only 13 zones? And why do we have to do all 13 zones? And why do we not consistently get credit for zones when we do them? And why do we not have a tracker for this buggy achievement?
I am extremely, extremely disappoint.
Can all new enemies that get released at least have “Unstoppable” or a stability icon under their names if they are immune to CC? Many of the twisted clockwork enemies are “immune,” but it’s stated no where that they are.
I can understand that going back through all enemies would be a lot of work, but doing it for all new ones would be practically trivial.
On a similar note, it’d be nice to have a status icon for enemies off which you can’t rally. “100% chance to rally if you kill an enemy” seems to be a lie if you kill an enemy and you don’t rally.
Yes that’s my point. I am apparently doing something wrong, but no where has it said what I have to do to do it right.
Well, good sir, you’re wrong about that. I’ve done all 13, and I’m still at 12/13. If it’s not a bug, it’s simply unclear what conditions for completing it are required. Anet really needs to speak up about this.
This is so true. The party system in GW1 addressed this perfectly.
The fix is to make the victory give 40 bags and not be limited to daily.
We really need a fix for this. The achievement is so buggy that no one can tell which ones they’ve done. God, someone out there, please give us an achievement tracker….
We need this last year. Please, ANet, please.
Greetings!
I am sad to see that the best arena is not going to be returning in the rotation. I am extremely sad to see it. Aspect Arena is the only pvp in this game that has really drawn my attention. Please bring it back through the minigame rotation, especially, since Ellen Kiel (sadly) won the election.
I will add that the skirt clips into my female human’s behind when the leggings are worn without any trench coats. I am very excited about this skirt, alone, without the chest piece.
So I’m very excited about the magitech armor. Finally there’s a skirt. I’m going to buy it and ditch everything except the leggings, in the hopes that they fix the clipping issue with (what could be) the best medium armor leggings in the game.

“The only sigil that will work is on the main hand weapon. Any sigil on the off hand will be ignored completely.”
This isn’t true. Sigils on two weapons can stack. I think your two would stack. I’m not sure, but it can’t be too hard to figure out for yourself, could it?
I tried transmuting cultural armor recently. No problems. It wouldn’t let me wear it on my charr, though.
Fix it. This is the worst part of gw2. Just fix it, please.
As far as I know, there are no 24-hour timers in this game. None.
Things reset at 8 pm EST every day. Your scenario can’t occur. I can see a separate issue may be that if a casual player played a dungeon, finished at 8:10, then played the same dungeon the next day and finished at 7:59, fewer rewards will be granted.
The issue here is that you guys don’t know how the game works: just wait 2 minutes until 8:01 to get your reward.
Nope, you have to do it with your charr, unless you just want the skin, then look for an item with the same skin on the TP and transmute.
Speaking of a computer committing suicide, mine did Thursday night. I will prevail though! ONWARD.
So guys, I met my first skritt thief a la treasure goblins today. It surprised me and as I chased it down, tons of annoying asura snared me, but I made some good progress regardless.
Suddenly, it laughed. I knew it was about to get away, but it had polymorphed me. As soon as I recovered, I RIGHT-CLICKED TO MOVE MY CAMERA, and selected a random enemy off in the distance, used my burst, and obviously missed.
Please, for the love of video games and designing good UI’s, give us the option to disable right-click selection/activation/anything. Just do it. I’ve said before, and I’ll say again.
This. Is. The. Worst. Part. Of. GW2.
I believe Kirby actually said he was okay for countering stealth on guardians and engineers, but that we need more counters, particularly on the other classes.
Perhaps making healing spells reveal an area around you, but making stealth last twice as long and granting protection or other damage mitigation while stealthed, would be reasonable.
Or even give a 50% evasion while stealthed, flat out, revealed or not, but give us a way to reveal.
Well, it’s two-sided. It’d be easy to fix clipping, but that’d bring up other nastier issues instead, so an actual fix is time-consuming. I think they’re working on it, at least somewhat, since they worked on it a lot post-release for GW1.
Every single competitive game I’ve ever played or seen has a counter to stealth. If Anet wants this game to be regarded (by me at least, but I expect many more) as an e-sport, they MUST add counters to stealth.
If they add counters to stealth itself, then they can make stealth last longer, and balance in other ways. It NEEDS a counter.
Yes. Deselecting a target quickly is very important. As it is, you have to spam Esc to make sure you’ve cancelled every other action and closed every window before it will finally deselect your target. Allowing us to bind a key to this action will fix the issue.
My point was there are very few skirts, despite your saying there are too many. You don’t like the look of coats. There’s big difference in look among skirts, dresses, and coats.
If you think coats look like skirts, well, you are wrong.

If supplies (or gold) aren’t an issue, crafting is the fastest way.
Yeah, do this. It’s annoying not being able to even select yourself.
This, let it be screamed a thousand times in Anet’s ear until we can disable right click to activate.
Skirt? Do you mean dress? I think there’s only one light skirt and no medium skirts. Trench coats are neither of those at all. I, too, want a tunic over a trench coat, but a skirt, too, as skirts are leggings, not coats.
to run backwards: reverse camera (i have it bound to c) and press w. Tada!
The leggings Barbaric Legplates and Seeker Pants clip with the human female leg simply while idle. The barbaric legplates have particularly really bad clipping.
Probably a bug, if not, a suggestion:
When in vengeance, please make it so waypointing removes it.
There is a penalty. The pet switch timer is a minute instead of 10 seconds.
I really like the idea of special bags. Invisible bags, weapon bags, and junk bags are all great ideas. The problem? Some bags are too big.
Invisible bags are perfect for holding weapon swaps and such, but having 15 or 20 items for weapon swaps might be excessive. So, I’ve come to suggest a fix: let us partition the bags. If we have, say, an invisible bag, let us choose a lesser number of slots to reserve as invisible, with the rest regularly visible.
I know this may be a stretch for a suggestion, but hey, it’s worth a shot. Right now I only use the oiled bags to get the junk out of the way when looting. The other bags would be great to use, but only without forfeiting excessive amounts of regular slots.
Sounds more like a reason not to play the game: so you don’t have to spend so much time wasted getting more armor.
It’s a terrible idea, and just wow to your second post here. If a ranger always has a dead pet, the ranger is bad. It’s not hard to swap them out right before they die. Imagine actually having to press F3 to control your pet once in a while.
Fundamentally, why should they be immune? Why? Because they die? Why not make them immune to other things as well? Or hell, do the rational thing for necromancer minions, and just buff their health?
Yeah, it might be a bug, but if it is, this is a suggestion to fix the bug.
Please make this easier! Sometimes I’m standing right next to a Centaur Weapon Rack or a Dredge Mining Machine, and I simply miss with every melee attack. It’s ridiculous.
For long range attacks, I often get obstructed by the object itself. Makes no sense.
sounds like orlen is stuck in gw1, where it actually was the focus of the game.
