Windows 8.1 x64, 64bit client, command line options to auto login, mastery maxed so have the autoloot.
Download the latest Logictech setpoint software. Uninstall the current setpoint software, restart machine, then install the newly downloaded setpoint. That fixed it for me.
The stress test did well. Many areas of the Rev are fun, but having not build it up and experienced them in normal combat hard to say how they will be long term.
The graphics was excellent, no graphical glitches at all, and fps was good. It did dip some on the Wyvern flaming, but never got laggy. That said though, I did end up sending in 6 crash reports during the Wyvern fights.
The mastery UI needs to be cleaned up drastically, and reduced down from the 72 point fonts.
The gliding was fun, although now sure how it will be after the newness wears off. Hopefully it will be useful for more than the jumping puzzle type items.
No, you didn’t read it carefully. Even if they /kick, since the dungeon had 5 people in it, the final reward is 1/5th. The counter only goes up, never down. So if a party with 5 in it enters the dungeon, the count is at 5 forevermore that instance.
The only way to get a count of 1/2/3/4 is only that number ever joins that dungeon instance. Even if the 5th person came in, turned around and left, the count would now be 5.
This would not kill pugging or anything else, since not everyone wants superhardmode. But it does give those who want it a reason, and proper rewards for doing the superhardmode.
Here is a suggestion. Set the final reward so that it is split by the total number of parties members that have been in the dungeon.
Say the dungeon normally rewards the each party member with 1g and 40 tokens. So the total reward is 5g, 200 tokens. If you run the dungeon with only 4 people in the party, each person’s reward is now 1g25s, and 50 tokens. Break it all the way down to a single player.
To prevent artificially inflating that, the count increases only, so if you start the dungeon with 5 people, but only 1 person finishes, they still only get 1 fifth reward. Also, make sure that none of the bosses are skippable.
This would allow the dungeons to serve as both the causal players, and the hardmode players, and give an incentive to all players to work hard at getting better. If each player improves themselves so that it takes a smaller group to finish a dungeon, they get better end rewards.
I’m sure there are some loopholes I’ve missed, so lets hash it out, and see if we can come up with a workable idea that doesn’t have any huge exploits in it.
I just can not even see any of my bound or unbound miniatures for one second in any high scale map due to excessive amount of players, do you aware of this problem?
This is a feature that is working as intended. If you have feedback regarding the feature, I would recommend creating or joining in a thread to discuss your thoughts about it.
I just wanted to say that the Support ticket was handled very well after the first reply, and the issue has been resolved, with the recent update. Much kudo’s to the support team on this.
Thank You.
What is the procedure to requesting refunds on the Gems spend purchasing mini’s? This is a core functionality change from what was purchased. Having spent over $1000 USD in the gem store since launch, I do not find having this type of function change acceptable.
I have posted the policy (including eligibility) for miniature refunds on the FAQ on my first post. You can find that here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Customer-Support-9-9-Feature-Build/first#post4380306
That policy is unacceptable. I just looked up all my purchases in the GW2 Gem Store, and the total for two years is $2964.30 USD. If it is ANet’s policy to allow core functionality changes to items that are purchases from the Gem store in this manner, then I can see my purchasing habits to drop to $0. And I am sure that I am not the only one that is extremely upset over this caviler attitude towards the customers that continue to enjoy and fund this game.
I have opened a support ticket over this also, and the first reply did not even touch the subject that I brought up in my ticket, rather they cut/pasted all the changes, and how to put the minis in the wardrobe. That is completely insulting as well.
A recent update addressed the issue where minis were being excessively hidden in areas with higher population. If you still wish to discuss the matter further, please do so in the ticket that you have opened.

I sort of agree with Qarinus – I spend the time and money to collect all the minis for sets 1-3. But I kept the minis. So I was able to do the new achievements sort of quickly. (Sheesh, right mouse click, put into wardrobe, move mouse to yes, I really want to do this, and back again – way too much mouse movement!).
Yes, I am a hoarder.. or better known as a packrat.
Also made all the crafting backpacks without ever having to buy anything but that silly starter frame.
I also now have a pet seed – made the exotic back piece last week.
I’m not sure how some of you may have messed up your stories, but I know when I run through places with npc’s, I am still saluted, clapped at or some other appreciated gesture made towards.
What more is there than to be noticed by common person, who has no ulterior motive in wanting to recognize me?
Also unable to chat in any fashion. Have tried rebuild and everything.
The new Fire Elemental is only slightly harder than the original one. The original one I could melee it down, and I’m a Ranger! The new one requires me to use gasp my bow, and run in a circle around him the entire time. Both the original one and the new one I have taken down solo, so I have a hard time calling it too over powered.
You want over powered, go fight the Champion Brood Mother in Orr.
You could increase rewards for defending by simply increasing rewards for killing enemy players, since defending logically implies fighting off enemy players. That would be less subject to abuse than increasing the rewards for the current “defend” events where you can get full participation credit by using 2 supply to repair a section of outer wall while the enemy is already beating on the inner door.
This only works when and if players are actually there. Currently, defending a dolyak can mean fighting off a wave of enemies or escorting them without seeing anyone. It should provide a reward either way, but we can’t do the latter in any good way currently.
So, for supply escort missions, transform the supply guards into Guard Dolyak’s. If they stray too far from the supply Dolyak, they lose the transformation, and lose the supply run ‘event’. It also opens the door to possibly allow player transferred supply runs, so rather than waiting for the Dolyaks to run, a group can have some transform into supply Dolyak’s, and they take the same path, so would limit griefing possibilities.
Just by using the drops that come from playing, and then spending gems on one support pack to get the dual count buff, I put 812 votes in for Kiel this morning. That’s 406 support tickets doubled. If I get more than 150 by the 5th, I’ll most likely buy the buff again just to double the votes.
Did you try both right mouse click paste and Control V? Also, are you in full screen mode, or windowed?
I’ve found that since they have 100 characters for the password is to use a sentence, with capital letters in all the proper places, and proper punctuation at the end. That way you can have a very long password that is easy to remember, but virtually uncrackable.
And remember, as more Skritt gather, the stronger they are. As playable race, when you start a party of Skritt, each additional Skritt in the party brings a 5% bonus to Shiny… err Magic Find. So a entire party would have a +25% bonus!
I just love going in when I find them doing this and taking it out with my Ranger. All the lovely verbal abuse and catcalling, and the delicious rage when the poor weak solo Ranger takes out their toy.
Mister E is Logan… Logan the EverDying.
While it took some time to get the timing right, a good Ranger can take out of group of 5-6 of the crazed karka fairly easy.
Use the Spy kit book to get in the middle of a group, and just as the invis breaks use entangle. Pause a 1/2 second, and then use the #5 on your dual axes. By the time the axe whirl finishes you have mostly dead karka, and 1 or 2 hits and they are all dead.
Then quickly dodge away before the next group reaches you!
I thought the world chest only shows up once a ‘day’ on boss kills. Is it supposed to show up every time on the Karka Queen?
Yay! Ranger for the win! :P Both my Healing Spring and the bear’s Shake It Off will clear it from me.
Ranger – 80
Elementalist – 10
Guardian – 12
Necro – 14
The low levels ones are ones I tried at beginning, couldn’t get into, and dropped.
I used to be able to solo the Curse Shore’s Broodmother with no problem. Now even with a zerg is it impossible.
This Champion is one of the easiest to solo with a Ranger. Keep him at range, move back and forth to confuse the AI, entangle him when he bubbles/shells and take out the grubs.
Using a tank pet is great because the pet will keep his attention while you continue to take him out from range.
Remember, the number 1 key ability of the Ranger is dodging. Learn the attack ‘tells’, and learn to dodge quickly. Never stand in one place, always keep moving. 50% of the ranged attacks will miss you if you keep moving and changing directions often.
The problem with DPS meters is that there is no way to account for everything. The 5 sec fear that stops the incoming DPS from the mops/boss. The entangle that stops the boss/mops from moving for 3-8 seconds which allows others CD’s to expire. The interrupt/knock downs that stop incoming DPS. These all count towards a quick and successful run but have no place to show up in a meter.
There are many utility skills that benefit the entire party, but lowers that person’s DPS, but with meters, most would be ignoring the utility skills in order to make sure they appear in the top of the DPS chart.
Why is the RMT compnay BladeRadio allowed to operate openly in world? They are a commercial operation that is ‘giving’ away gold and gems which they have purchased using advertising money.
Do they have ArenaNet’s permission for commercial advertising like this?
Very odd. I know that when I use the Whiskey, I am like totally invulnerable during the fight. I am able to stand in one place and take everything down with just the Whiskey effects. Sometimes my hp bar will drop slightly, but so little that the my regen has it full by the next tick.
Then again, I have gotten my Drinking achieve bar up 30k, so perhaps since I know my drinks, the Whiskey does better for me?
I have soloed many Champions, and none of them have dropped any loot. All you get is the event completion reward.
Need to learn a bit more control of the pet. In dungeons, esp ones where you know you have to run past mops, put pet on passive, and stow. If you know you are going to take some hits and pet will come out, put Guard skill on bar, and send pet in first with a a guard. That way, the pet isn’t pulling items to you, distracts the mops, and will also end up dead and not being a mop magnet.
On boss fights, switch to a ranged pet, or put on passive, and send in with the Attack my target command as needed, and pull back with the Return to me before the AOE attacks.
The Logitech M570 thumb trackball for my right hand, and a Logitech G13 game pad for my left. By holding down the right mouse button and using the thumb stick on the left for movement, I get very fine grained control. And using the keys on the G13, my fingers can quickly hit all the attack/defense/healing controls while still moving, dodging and rolling.
I’m a Ranger, and manage to always kill the mean girls.
After the present explodes, and I can move again, I dodge roll to the presents, and pick them up. I then do a Entangle, and Dodge roll out. Then using short bow, I keep in a wide circle so that the princesses never bunch up, and focus on one at a time till it falls, then move to the next one. As long as they don’t bunch up, they don’t all hit you with confusion, and it is very survivable.
If you see more than 2 incoming shots at once, dodge at the last minute. The use of a ranged pet like the spider helps alot also.
The dolls are a challenge, but not that hard. I am a Ranger, and I just run in, get the gift(s) first, entangle, roll out, and then pick them off from range.. keep them moving around after the entangle and they won’t buff each other.
When I do get the confusion on, I just run away some till it wears off.
It also sucks that the Karka’s don’t count towards the shelled creatures killed.
I thought perhaps they had broken toughness for us Rangers or something, because dungeons that I had run before easily I was now dying constantly. I see it is the aggro. If there is a attack, it will hit me first, and keep on me until I rez to a WP.
I had thought it was just something about being a Sylvari, and every monster hating them as to why I was always the target in the past – but it is because I outfitted properly in Exotics.
sighs
What server are you on? I have 28 keys in the bank, and would gladly take you to the vaults and let you in. I am on The Isle’s server.
I would hope so – I know back when I went through the entire personal story, I would have to always rez them after the battle was done, regardless what we were up against.

There is a problem with the iPhone app, that the QR code you generate has a space in the description, so it will not accept it. Also, you have to put in your Account Name, and not the Account Email address – the QR code has the Account Email instead of the Account name. If you manually enter the account name and the key, then it will link properly.
The problem ultimately is on the iPhone side – it will simply not accept spaces in any of the data.
The four Champion level sharks at the end of Honor of the Waves – have yet managed to get all four killed before everyone gives up and leaves. No idea if there is a loot chest down there or not.
Why are gathering items soulbound? Account bound would be nice...

I just use the Ori gathering tools no matter what level area I am in. That way it gets all items, no damaged mats.
. They are account bound, can’t even be sold to a vendor, nor used in the Mystic Forge. They are taking up space in inventory in hopes that one day I’ll be able to do something other than delete them. I get at least one of those miniatures out of each set of 25 keys I purchase. Sometimes I get one of each out of that set of 25 keys.
