I have noticed for a couple of weeks now (and sent in a bug report back then too) then when I click on Mini Gamli in the trading post, the item loads indefinitely. No other item does this for me that I am aware of.

I’m getting kind of sick of seeing them everywhere. And sometimes I wish there was a way to toggle it so I didn’t have to see them on other characters. I know that doesn’t make a lot of sense but in big groups when like 50% of the people have wings it just looks really weird to me.

I’d like to see some different cosmetics in the gem store besides just wings- and gliders…

Which has me wondering, Because there IS an Owl spirit upon Owl’s Abattoir. I’m wondering if this is a new aspect of Owl, or just another Spirit to take her place?

Owl’s last havroun confirmed her death (though I know with Anet lore that may not mean jack), and the other two spirits as just lost. I have to wonder if they became Jormag’s champs.

I doubt they’d remove such a neat piece of lore and tribute to our little champ Zojja for no reason.

They removed Caithe and Faolin dialogue in Light in the Darkness, about when Caithe stated she would gladly fall into nightmare. Anet has remove dialogue from several cinemas or reworked them over the years. Traherne no longer says, “this won’t end well” for another example.

It’s an okay rig, but it does that stupid “chop off Charr horns” thing again. Hey, Devs? Mind firing that S&M freako who wants to cut off my horns and use them to spitroast babies?

I think they are prepping for tengu as a playable race, when I saw the ome in our GH and its aesthetic changes I thought the same as you. Could be during LS3 (though I doubt it), or still a few years to come, but I think the preperations are made.

Their culture and their shapeshifting. Eir did it a lot in Edge of Destiny, never did it ingame. Neither did Braham or Knut, the only other important norn characters.

Ah yeah. I get the whole “racial skills can’t be OP” but man this bugs the kitten out of me. I remember before launch reading the books and learning about norn in GW1 and being so stoked for this.

I strongly believe, these concepts are willingly held back to be implemented first with an expansion that brings us to the far nothern shiver peaks where we have to fight against Jormag together with a strongly Norn related story about shamans where we will be then able to earn them somehow over the course of that expansion.

I think this makes alot more sense, then to put these into the game with HoT now, which is absolutely not connected at all with the Norn… this expüansion is 100% all about only the Sylvari. There has norn content no place in it.

I’d like to add my voice to this request since I main a Norn ranger who is soon to become a Druid, and looking at my unlocked skins? Ungh… on the whole he can look like a shady character or a pirate… there is very little druid appropriate for him to wear!

Even though I enjoy mixing armors, I found the norn wedding attire really nice as a norn druid look. However, if we ever got these shaman outfits I would buy them all up in a heartbeat.

With Anet’s track record with rangers this is completely my belief. Gaile I want to trust you, but my distrust of the attitude for rangers we’ve seen makes me doubt this. When saying the ranger is not good is as prevalent a joke as moose abuse in livestreams. When one of the more vocal devs champions bearbow, the build that basically ruined the ranger community, on these livestreams. When an article offering some legitimate criticisms about this attitude and some possible ways to address it comes out and is taken down and not by the writer’s choice. I think it is completely justified to still be a little concerned and take this statement with a grain of salt.

I’m reminded of one of their longer twitch streams a while back about some upcoming trait rework… they just breezed over rangers in an awkward way like they didn’t even want to bother. They’re a business and of course they don’t actually hate rangers or anything.. but the quote above does kind of hit the nail on the head.

I’m very confident on my engineer. I win two thirds of the matches I play.

This has been my experience fighting rangers:

Most rangers I fight against: Pewpew with the longbow and never weapon swap. Ever. I just sit there and shake my head while I watch rangers kill themselves with rapid fire off my reflect wall. Obvious use of the wrong pet. Poor management of pets.

Some rangers I fight against: Weapon swap and often use greatsword or double axe, sometimes sword/warhorn. Clear knowledge of what pets to use in pvp. Lock down with pets or other immobilize and then attack from range. And when I go up against these guys, it’s a clear fight to the death and I’ve been absolutely destroyed at times by people who clearly know their class inside and out.

I can say this for every class really. There are those that understand their class and those that don’t. And while there are some classes that are a bit over on the power edge at the moment and allow for more sloppy play, the rest are pretty kitten equal.

i.e. this is a learn to play issue and nothing more.

30% of damage that may or may not hit regardless of blocks/evades IF the pet manages to path correctly to the target is not a L2P issue. Yes there are superb players that make it seem viable but even they are fighting you AND the mechanic. Do some more research, or maybe have your skill drop 30% of their damage more often than having that 30% of damage and then come back and tell us you’re happy with Engi.

When the Dev’s have agreed that there are glaring issue’s it’s pretty safe to say that this isn’t some imaginary concern related to L2P.

But ya what would the Ranger diehards and dev’s know, the Engi has told us otherwise so it must be true.

Agreeing with this. I’m no super pro player that knows the ins and outs of all classes, but the problem isn’t a pvp ranger like the posts above specify. It isn’t a l2p issue. What do we do with our pets in the raid that constantly die because they cannot jump or dodge, and then yes.. causes a 30% dps decrease? I pvp and pve as a main ranger. I find pvp a lot of fun and don’t feel like a “bad” class at all. But saying there are no issues with pve ranger, and that its all l2p, is just plain false.

I’ve beaten every dungeon path, and done every living story achievement, with a ranger in my party. We have level 50 fractal runners who are rangers.

Pets probably need some work. But you guys are focused way too much on how much DPS you do. Who cares?

You’re absolutely right. A ranger is totally capable of completing a 50 fractal and all of the dungeons. That doesn’t mean that there are no mechanic problems though, and especially what with (hopefully) much harder pve content. Specifically, mechanic problems that other groups would rather just bypass completely by not inviting your class (GWEM only pls). Just the day before yesterday I was doing cliffside fractal when the thief accidently killed the target mob that we needed to keep alive, then proceeded to leave the group. Our filler guardian came in and then said, “oh 2 rangers and an engi, no wonder.” And then also left. We were FINE up until that point. The kitten is getting old.

I don’t understand how one can look at those two logos and not see the almost perfect resemblance. It is not just a dragon head, it is Anet’s dragon head. This is a form of theft and that is why the subject was brought up.

I’m not in love with is, but I’m happy it isn’t the fart noise now, so I’ll take it. Howler still doesn’t sound too special.. same “new” audio with the faint howling in the background, though at least now easier to hear than with the old farting sound.
