In skyhammer (I’m a thief) breaking the blue ground near the skyhammer before getting downed by a thief and another class, the other class left, and when the thief is about to down you, warp right past the hole, then use the stealth skill right before they shadow step to you, they step to you and fall in the hole and you res! Forum community's view on instrument macros?

Who is to say those players always getting 600 in Bell Choir are not using macros? If that is ‘ok’, what will be ‘ok’ next?

that is not okay, Anet said the macro’s for playing instruments are only fine when not giving an advantage for winning and or gaining in some way, using a macro in bell choir is not okay, and they explicitly said things of that nature are an offense.

The New Dailies -- Feedback welcome

I personally never did PvP, but I started a little before the update where they restructured how menu’s and such were, and I like the pvp dailies personally! they are easier than all the others, for example

PvP point defending daily all you have to do is defend ONE point from an attack, have friends come help you, go to a point, capture it and defend it once, done

PvP (whichever class) Winner dailies this one is kinda restrictive if you don’t have the class, but if you have free character slots, make one just for the pvp and delete it after, in pvp level doesn’t matter, and theres 4 pvp dailies anyways volunteering to balance gives you these rewards!

PvP player kill kill 3 enemy players, not sure if pvp mobs count, but try it! and if no have friends (or ask your group) to all go together to a point to take with enemies and try and win.

PvP Rank point daily this one is easy. find a group thats good and join if you aren’t, or join a match on the group already winning. or do an unranked match and get them even if you lose.

Better Crafting?

Some very good ideas, imo. And fwiw, yea, I got several crafters.

thank you!

and I believe the more ideas everyone puts forwards, the more the game can grow! and honestly I do not agree with the fact that you have to level a CP (crafting profession)
to 400-500 to get the high lvl/tier stuff, and there’s no other way to get it, I have 3 at 500 and do not wish to level others just for the things that are bound….. which makes me think….. what does everyone think about some kind of dual crafting, in the sense that, 2 professions come together to make something special otherwise unobtainable?

Maze Balm foes being killed by others

This is the second time I have had another player kill my candy corn elementals created by my maze balm and taking all my tot bags. This is a problem for a lot of people and not just myself and I think something needs to be done to stop this from happening in the future. There are a couple of things that can be done such as either making the candy corn elementals invulnerable to anyone other than the person who created them for x amount of time, or make it so that if another person kills them they get nothing and we still get our bags from our maze balm.

they could just make it so the player who used the maize balm gets this drops regardless of whether they attacked/killed the elemental or not, problem solved and both players would get things

While thinking it over, using my former idea of the assist crafting menu (i’ll call it that for now) nothing would need to be unbound, It could craft the things into the other players inventory as if they were crafting it themselves (which they would be sort of) this would remove any problems associated with unbounding things.

Downed state

Wow! Thanks for all the replies everyone Its nice to see so many people willing to help!

and I think the reason I always seem to die is whenever my hp gets low (super squishy so it happens alot) I tend to attack instead of using a finisher (I use healing signet), I usually have all signets equipped, I could probly improve my build but I am still looking into it (I want to come up with my own rather than be the same as everyone else) I could probly use the signet to heal instead of attacking for health XP I don’t PvP too much so I’m sure I’ll get it with practice

Downed state

I liked downed state, but I believe the skills of the different classes Need balancing.

for instance, I may down a ranger, and they can just use their overpowered pet res skill,

and can out heal my attacks and I’m a full zerker thief and can do massive damage at a

trade-off for armor and such. And I would use the finisher, but then I’ll most likely die

(and this is with attacks that heal me during an evade period). While on the same

token if I get downed all I can do is a warp that “might” get me away from a

finisher, or aoe (to be killed in seconds, or shadow stepped to and finished anyway)

or a skill that stealths me for ONE SECOND and can save me from a finisher, which

at that point they just attack me to kill me. If I can’t out damage a rangers downed skill

while alive, then how would I even have a chance in downed state? The downed states

Need to be balanced with Each other like they could make my stealth downed skill

have me up to fight for a couple seconds, or maybe where I can just be up to run.

Oh... for kittens sake!

All I know is this game needs much more of a, “Can Do!” attitude to it. Way too many restrictions…. Way too many.

I agree I recently made a post on Bound items, and how crafting is really restricted, You cant even craft high level things for other players in gw2 I have 2 500 crafting professions and Really don’t like that I’m basically FORCED to lvl ANOTHER to 500 to make the ascended weapon I want

edit:
after a bit of pondering, i think i have found the issue with your problem. I believe what OP regards as bound items, are what he bought off NPC (with karma or gold).

Actually I was referring to bound items in general, but mostly crafted bound items.

My reasoning against things players craft being bound is that they worked hard to get the materials to craft something (or spent alot of gold in most cases) so they should be able to share/sell everything they craft.

Another thing I strongly believe in is that players should be able to craft ANYTHING they are able to craft for themselves for another player IF they wish to do so, that is something in a lot of MMO’s that I’ve played that are a part of what make them so fun and attract players who would play for crafting and stuff.

one example would be someone I know who doesn’t really play much, they tell me all the time that they only really play to craft and to help craft for others. but seeing as how the crafting is so restrictive they are very limited in this regard.

If the crafting was more free and players were able to share more things in game (crafted and not) It would attract more players who it doesn’t currently.

Sharing stuff is fun and good! Don’t limit us in this! saying unbinding things would mess up the TP or what not is not true (yeah maybe for some things formerly bound for a small time) but it would quickly fix it self quickly, it’s constantly changing and would be fine.

Personally my problem with bound crafting materials for Legendary, Ascended, etc. Is

that some things can only be made by certain professions, and If you don’t have that

profession then you are out of luck, the same goes for crafting ascended weapons. Say

I want an ascended pistol for instance, but don’t have huntsman, so there is no way for

me to get one aside from luck in drops (If you can even Get one) and getting the

stats you want, well good luck with that…… other than that I would have to spend time

and much gold on leveling that profession to 500 just to be able to craft it……. What

If they implemented a system that let someone craft it for you? Let me explain what I

mean, Instead of trading the materials or whatever to the player (and for bound things

you can’t) there could be a menu in the station where you go to the crafting station,

and maybe click a “craft for commission” button/tab or something this could bring up

a screen where you can “invite” another player to, and they put in all the materials

for whatever it is they want crafted for them and a gold for the commission. the

person crafting would not be able to interact with any materials put into this area and

when all the materials are put in then the invited player could click some button like

“Get Commissioned” or whatever and would be in the player who commissioned it’s

inventory (like normal crafting would). Then after the item is crafted, the player who

had the crafting skill would get one gold for the commission from the player for their

help. I think being able to work with Other crafters would help the community and

also Attract More Players to the game!

ALSO EVERYONE I’M LOVING THE INPUT! KEEP IT UP! & Don’t BE AFRAID TO PUT IN YOUR OWN IDEAS FOR ANYTHING YOU WANT!

I’ve played GUILD WARS 2 for quite awhile and noticed many things are “bound” in

some way, Soul bound, Account bound etc. and honestly I can understand the need

for some things to be bound. I have also noticed that the number of “bound” items

(I’m using this as a term for most in-game objects, equipment, etc.) is rather high. I’m

not saying there needs to be some big change or anything and I know bound things are

important for balance and other various reasons and that a lot goes into making a

game, but for things like Crafted items materials and such…… why bound them?

Crafting professions take time and gold to level to 400 and even more so to master to

500, I’ve personally mastered two to 500; Leather working and Weapon smithing and

do not really want to spend time and ALOT of gold to level more, ESPECIALLY to 500.

This brings me to my Main Thesis, Why bound crafted materials, weapons, or

items in general? Part of the fun of games for many people (_as someone who has

played many games and taken a certificate course in Game development_) is being

able to craft things and sell them or trade them. This holds true even more so if it’s a

high rarity item that requires much work, coin and materials to even be able to craft

in the first place. In fact Being able to find someone in game and get them to craft

things for you is an amazing thing, and should be encouraged in this game!

Honestly I’m surprised that in GUILD WARS 2, a game that prides itself on "playing

how you want" and more importantly companionship and teamwork, would NOT

allow this. Now I’m not going to list these points, without also stating a viable solution,

which is why after this long speech (_thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts

and opposures_) I would suggest “GUILD BOUND” as a type of binding. not only would

this allow everything I talked about prior, but it would also increase the usefulness of

actually being in a guild as well. PLEASE JOIN IN with thought’s and discussions on things

you might think could help this wonderful game grow!*

WHEN CHESTS DISAPPEAR!

Thank you for the input!
I had actually opened the chest but not taken the items out, I don’t have auto loot on because I like to see how many items I’m actually getting, etc. when I Open a chest or whatnot, Seeing the stuff inside a chest and such is fun for me so I keep auto loot off because of this. However I can just tap “F” 2 times fast to take things. The problem I’m mainly having is that If you Open a Chest and SEE the items you get, they Shouldn’t all just disappear. It would be cool if chests had some function or something to allow players within a vicinity to still get the chest if they happen to be right at it, or where at the very least you can still get any loot in a loot window from a chest you’ve opened if it disappears. After all Tyria is supposed to be a “Living World” a “Real World” and I don’t think it’s good for treasure to disappear while you are looking at it…. >,>

Okay I’m not really sure if this qualifies as a bug…. but it’s definitely a problem >,>

I recently opened a lost bandit chest in the Silverwastes and it had some loot in it, one of the things being a carapace boot box, which is rare to get from my experience, I don’t know what else was in the box (aside from the normal stuff) because while i was taking the stuff out, or about to IT DISAPPEARED taking All my treasure with it, no warning or anything or way to get the stuff……… has this happened to anyone else? I believe that if you have opened the chest and the little menu thing is open that even if the chest goes away you should still be able to get your stuff.

OKAY So I figured out how to fix the problem, on my own, I looked all over the net for answers which i didn’t find exactly, I was using windows media player and my songs wouldn’t work it was playing nothing, and opening the playlists with notepad as well as other things did not help, Finally I tried something different. I use windows 8. Using a MainMenu playlist helps to test it.

1. So First open windows media player

2. Then put all the songs you want to use in the library under music and all songs.

3. Put the songs you want in your playlist according to which ingame music you want changed (MainMenu, Battle, BossBattle, Underwater, etc.)

4. Now here is the important part, DO NOT click the Save playlist button, there should be a little box with an arrow that says list options when you hover over it near the top right hand corner of Windows media player, THIS IS WHAT YOU CLICK.

5. Choose Save List as and make SURE you Navigate to the Guild wars 2 music folder (Documents\Guild wars 2\Music …….or something) Name the playlist Whichever songs you want to change (MainMenu, Battle, BossBattle, Underwater, etc.) and CHANGE THE FILE TYPE IN THE DROP DOWN BOX to .m3u then save it.

6. Test your new music with a MainMenu playlist to see if it works.

7. If it Works you should be good!

8.ENJOY!

Music macros and gameplay advantage

I just found out about the macros to play music and decided to try it, It was confusing at first, but as long as it’s only for Music playing it’s okay right? what if ArenaNet made some kind of system that let you put instrument songs in the game and auto play it from the instrument? I don’t know, Oh and I was at the fire elemental boss and before it started I tried to play a song, but forgot to take my instrument out and my character attacked and he killed a random monster….. I could have easily killed it on my own but….. can I get in trouble for this?
