If you have a dynamic IP address, I would try changing it (in most cases, hotplugging the power to the modem works). If it prompts after that, all is working.
He could not get any prompt even if he changes the IP. The wonderful security system based on the IP most of the times doesn’t save a small range of IPs (<255 hosts) as safe but, instead, takes for good a much bigger IP family: just to make an example, something like from 90.0.0.0 to 90.255.255.255 gets tagged as safe and so, even if he changes IP, it’s much likely that his ISP will give him an IP which is in that range anyway thus not getting any prompt
If they didn’t like the what hes was doing why did they just stand there and take it why not just call the other team to smite him down and be done with it.
Guess you didn’t take your time to watch the video and the fact that the other team tried to make him move by attacking him without killing him

Back on the topic, what happened is just really, REALLY sad. You can’t put up you ANet tag and be such a moron, you just can’t; with that tag on you are representing your company and this was so kittening stupid, disrespectful and unprofessional. Not to mention he (and not the ones who were GvGing) was breaking the ToS himself as it was already said.
ANet you really need to answer for this, such behaviour from your very own employes is just unacceptable; under no circumstances you can deal with paying customers like that.

So what about some kind of audio alert to warn you are ready to enter a map you’ve been in queue for? Having one single monitor i’d like to be able to mind my own business on windows, or just step away from the computer, without the fear to lose my spot. I’m kind of surprised nothing like that has already been implemented yet

It applies only to your fixed thougness value (base tho+ bonus from equip and sets). Temporary boosts like rock barrier, earth attunement, food do not apply to your % conversion
GFRikku do you realize that both NA and EU regions do have different time zones within them? You can’t lock WvW in a certain time span, you just can’t; everyone paid the game, everyone has the same right to play it.

I would like fire aura to do damage when someone hits you.
I would also like Fire Aura to buff power or grant might for its duration.
I’d like to see fire aura to do some dmg on attack too or, at least, apply a longer burning.
Anyway keep in mind that fire aura already gives you 1 stack of might (1s cd per attacker) for 10 seconds. Believe me, when fighting multiple enemies is a huge income of might stacks
I just tested this in spvp against a Necro with fields, wells, and marks. If you teleport through these things you will not receive the conditions
Don’t know if it has a different behaviour in sPvP or if they changed it during time but i remember trying that out more than once and every time i teleported through some fields i got the relative conditions (eg. teleporting with a static field in the way always resulted in me getting to the teleport area but being stunned). I’ll have some testing in WvW again
Edit: yep looks like they fixed it at some point so now you don’t get conditions teleporting through a field, good for me to know :P

It’s not a bug. Being magnetic grasp a projectile, you shoot it in the direction of your target but it will hit any hostile target it gets inbetween you and your target and since it doesn’t penetrate multiple enemies, it will stop at the first target hit.
This buff wouldn’t change the balance of the elementalist as speed just makes you move faster.
Actually it also removes every movement-impairing condition (immobilize, cripple and chill)
Also, do you have an idea of how big a 750 radius aoe would be?

The fact is that lightning flash does not work as a teleport but as a mere “very fast movement” to the target area (proof: you get all the conditions if you teleport with enemy fields between you and your ground target). Having this behaviour, it needs to have a clear path in order to work; if there’s an obstruction, an hill that can’t be climbed, or a gap between two pieces of land (eg. trying to teleport from one side of a breached wall to the other) the skill will fail and cause it to go on full cooldown. Seems it doesn’t work also on some stairs in keeps and towers (i believe it has something to do with those parts being destructible or not) but also work normally sometimes with high edges (eg. in borderlands, at the middle island you are able to teleport from the bridge level up to the ruins level by just using it on the edge of the high ground), so yes, its behaviour is not really clear
You probably won’t get any statement because you are comparing two skills that even if are both transformations have nothing in common. One is a specific class’ mechanic, the other one is another class’ utility. Comparing them is non-sense
It’s not a client bandwidth issue, it’s just the server that in big fights doesn’t manage (example: 100% usage) to send/receive updates on what’s going on to/from every client in real time, causing the skill lag
Actually, the RTL cooldown nerf has changed nothing. The real nerf no one seems to see is the one pointed at our auras. “ZOMG what are you talking about, 10% damage reduction, so sweet!!1!one!”. The damage reduction was the last thing d/d eles needed, and what’s the price for it? Internal cooldowns on auras main effects, cutting literally in half theyr usefullness.

Don’t hate them for being able to use a skill to their advantage.
That’s not the point. The point is that the confusion mechanic works buggy (i don’t think it’s “working as intended”) with the tornado. I’m fine to get confusion damage when i activate its spells and when i knock people, but i’m not fine getting 2-3 confusion damages per second when doing nothing. If you get 8+ stacks of confusion and you are not full hp, you don’t even have the time to react. You are instantly dead.
So, am i the only one complaining that tornado is a death sentence if you happen to get confusion? Even if it attacks only once every 2-3 seconds, you keep getting confusion damage at a terrific rate.
Yesterday (in WvW) i was using the tornado when a confusion-build mesmer targeted me. Long story short: 8+ stacks of confusion, kittenload of 2500+ confusion damages, instant death. I personally like the tornado (even if it’s pretty slow and kitable), but i hate having to pray “don’t get confusion, don’t get confusion, don’t get confusion” every time i cast it

4. I’ve been trying for 2 months now getting the precursor, i throw every day 10+ golds in rares inside the MF and still no luck. This is getting sick…
Lately i found myself waiting in queue even on maps where we were controlling no objectives at all. It’s pretty much unlikely that map had 150 afk players or even that they couldn’t even capture a supply camp. Seriously, WTF?
If enemies are trying to ress a downed player just throw a random CC and start stomping right away, you’ll probably finish the enemy before his mate recovers.
If you are afraid of having your stomp interrupted just cast an invulnerability/stability/barrier/whatever right before (or during) the stomp and the enemy will be as good as dead.
If you don’t have any of the above on you skill/utility bar, or you just spam them mindlessly during the combat leaving you off guard when you have to finish of the enemy, you still have to learn how to play in WvW/PvP.
The downed mechanic is a part of this game, so please stop whining about it.

So, i just got this damage from a bladetrail hit…is that normal? (lvl 80 full exotic 2600+armor)
Ether Renewal healing is pretty good: heals around 400+hp per tick (12 ticks in 4 seconds) and every tick removes a full condition. The only problem is that it’s a channeling; you can move while you use it, but if you get interrupted you’re dead.
Vapor form has a chance to revive you. If you spam #2 yust before dying it sometimes brings you in Vapor form before you got really downed.
The moment he Vapor form ends, you are still alive and have 50% of your healthHappened 4 times today
Ps.. To above.. The heal heals me while in mistform.. Always.

I noticed today that glyph of renewal cast time is totally bugged: if you look at in the skills list, you’ll notice that the stated cast time is 1¼ seconds. Only if you equip it in the skill bar the cast time will become 4¼ secs. Also, underwater casting time is set to half second and it works fine. Making it cast with the stated cast time (1¼s) will make this skill useful once again.

Get 4 karma weapons, put them in the forge, sell the single weapon you get. That’s the only way to get (a few) money from karma afaik

since the last patch (24/10) i have problems starting the game. Most of the times when loading the character screen, the screen remains black with only the background music of the character selection playing, forcing me to close the application. I have to try again and again to get it working and when i manage to load the game i have no issues at all. Had no problems like this before the today’s patch

And i repeat that this has just changed. I used RTL to skip a (pretty big) part of the eternal battleground’s jumping puzzle until the day before the patch, after it i can’t do that anymore
He’s obviously talking about Vapor Form (downed state) which yes, it’s shorter and has more CD now but you can use it the moment you go down now. They obviously made the change to give us a chance to interrupt the first finish attempt in WvW/PvP and i like it
This happened even before the latest patch. If you look at your buff bar you’ll notice that when you actively use the signet, you’ll lose its passive buff for a split second, gaining a new one just afterwards. When the cooldown of the signet is over you’ll lose this new passive buff and regain the original one. This thing is confirmed by the fact that it happened to me more than once when casting the signet to find myself with both the passive buffs, healing me on every cast for ~220 (normal passive buff) plus ~160 (new passive buff). It’s not a matter of +healing counting because i have only +100healing and i don’t think it would change a HoT tick that much. It’s just weaker and it shouldn’t be, as we are talking about a 30-points major trait here.
I can kill them solo, all of them at the same time. D/D 0/0/30/10/30
This change was introduced with the last patch, not weeks ago. I’ve been using my ele d/d everyday since day one and that’s a fresh change. If that was a necessary fix to make RTL work correctly it would be ok, but it still have problems: i got stuck a few times already and (maybe a new bug?) a couple of times it looked like it anticipated the enemy too much, making me charge where the enemy was headed but way farther from him. I certanly won’t quit my ele for this, i find it the most funny class and i’ll surely find new “alternative” ways to run away from a group of enemy. I’d only like to know why they put a major change in its traveling mechanics like that and why we were not told about it.
No one noticed that now you can’t use RTL in mid-air, as it will make you charge towards the ground? :-/

Aggro a good amount of enemies (4-6): glyph of storms in earth attunement under your feet (they’ll get perma-blinded if are not fast attackers and will almost never hit you) , churning earth, ring of fire, fire grab. Dodge back and watch them die by DoTs or do a burning speed right after dodging away if you want an instant kill. GG.
