My main issue is still not having boon duration on ascended armor. Are there even boon duration infusions?
But i guess I will wait till the expansion drop then to see what all they add.

Exactly.. I have not made any ascended gear because I like my boon duration on my Giver’s…

what do you mean “finally”? feathered has been out since launch.. and the heavy armor too. I forgot the name.

I got my Guardian here. Love to support and sustain groups. I don’t understand why I cannot get stats like Giver’s stats(+Toughness, +Healing power, +Boon duration.) for the exotics. Was it decided that boon duration is not important or useful? Looks like the only choices I have now are
-Healing power:
Power, Toughness.
Precision, Vitality.
Toughness, Condition damage.
Not even a Healing power, Toughness, Vitality. Are these build not available because it is too much sustainment and would break the game mechanics or something?

I also heard about some changes coming up. Should I make healing power ascended items or just wait until this expansion drops?

There was seriously nothing worse about dungeon running with pugs than to spend hours in there and be kicked by some people and the instance kicking everyone. Or when the dungeon starter had to go after you are almost near the boss. I’m happy they fixed that but being able to kick the dungeon starter should not be possible unless they are outside the instance or offline.

From the other lengthy threads on this topic it appeared that the reason the devs did not change the individual townclothes was because of needing to remake them. People complained and they changed the flamekissed light armor. Keep the rally cry going and it is always possible they will implement a better version of townclothes later.

That said it’s probably helpful to post in the townclothes thread instead of making a new one. It can be found here.

hmmm.. thanks. I searched forums for about 30 minutes before I posted. this thread never came up. It Seems that the ANET devs have changed over the last year.. too bad. maybe it makes the game more stable?

Armor skins + town clothes is probably a major pain for Developers.

Guys… due to the way armors are modeled they could not make the other town clothes armor and they did not feel like leaving them the way they were was progress. I think it’s time you all accept that there is literally nothing you can do at this point. Move on.

That is what the forums are for. If i actually take my time to come here to post this, my hope is that people see it and think “that would be nice to have.” This is something that I want in the game and I cannot just “Move on”.
I had it before, now that it is gone I want it back. My opinion of this ever going to change.

I believ the earmuffs are now part of the Winter Outfit, which you should have unlocked (and received in your inventory) if you talked to a Black Lion Armor Specialist with a character wearing the earmuffs.

Earmuffs were a separate sale all together in 2012. If those turned into another winters day outfit i would be even more upset than if they turn into a skin.

I like being able to have my costume in battle. +1
I just cannot stand not being able to mix up my costume pieces; the fact that my bunny ears, devil horns, Wintersday earmuffs and witch hat have all been turned into armor skins; And that I can’t individually color the combined pieces of my costumes.

I don’t even want to wear any of my costumes(town clothes)since this happened.

Why did these things go away when the costumes were changed? Can they not let me have individual pieces and allow me to wear it to battle still?

Please put the ability to wear costume pieces separately and be colored individually back into the game.

I think i remember seeing that it is not in WvW.. but don’t much care to go through 8 pages again. since he said he isnt commenting on the size of the chests.. or the status of the boss.

i beleive water event would be most likely considering i have never seen anyone farming the underwater events ever.

I always adapted to changes until this one, because it goes straight against the fundament of GW2.

only person i know to get a precursor got it from a drop way back when.. you can gamble away all your money to get your legendary faster or you can just wait for the RNG to give you one.
i do beleive they are legendary because they are hard to get.

lol. this is probably what it is. on the other hand.. human tier 3 assassins armor is probably some of the sexiest in the game.

i did path 2 with 2 warriors and had trouble. i have also done path 2 with no warriors and had no trouble .. i have done this path a lot… i find that as long as i ctrl+t the assassins this path is typically not problem at all.

pretty sure the event guys name is…. E.. something, he start just south of you at slieve’s waypoint or something like that

To me this path is ‘the dungeon’.. its that one that you cant simply just go into and finish in a few hours, unlike the other dungeons. You need a experienced group and a well thought out,tried group. It is also the path that makes the dungeon master title appealing to me.. the legendary weapon of titles. To nerf this dungeon would be very sad to me… despite the fact that i have spent 28+ hours in Arah path 4 with no success. I have talked to people that beat it recently even, so I know it is beatable.

As near as I can tell, the most basic way to acquire a legendary is to buy gems with real money, convert gems to gold, and then buy the legendary off the TP.

I think this is how we’re all really supposed to do it.

I am also a little confused by this. It does have the looks of a legendary weapon, in fact it is my favorite in the game, second being the Whisper’s Secret Scepter. I think it would be awesome if it added some sort of wave distortion affect to the ground behind you when you ran, or the ground cracking in your foot steps. splashes of water or mini clouds appearing even.. but it doesn’t have any of those effects. They did add unicorns to the bow, so hopefully they have something awesome planned for the scepter someday.

800 hours of game play and I just recently beat my story. I haven’t even got into wvw yet either.. which is why i bought the game to begin with… how do people go through the game so fast? and now there are laurels and that new content stuff coming out. guild events and whatnot.. I still dont have the exact armor or dyes that i want or the weapons-this is all endgame stuff right?

heh, how odd is that. warrior and guardian are the only 2 that can use heavy armor. I dont think i saw required profession: mesmer, elementalist, necromancer on my hat before i scrapped it. going to help a friend with HOTW SM soon so, i’ll be sure to ask him to look for that when we finish it.

It is really interesting to read through these and see so many people getting bad loot.. I get some ups and down.. on a bad day i still make around 1-2 gold(maybe less rarely) good day i have made 8 gold.. just doing PvE and dungeons. I actually made a thread with a excel spread sheet to record my drop rates.. but after like 3 days and and exotic drop, 2 ascended crafting mats, and like 10+ rare armors/weapons i decided it wasn’t really worth my time to record it.
I still think that this is much better system to get your legendary weapon than to craft 10000 of the same sword and then spend “x” money in hopes of getting your level 12 glowing sword at a 1 in 10000 chance of successful upgrade… actually having to sit there and upgrade each one till it breaks.. bleh.

sadly i was a little disappointed at how easy the story was i expected this epicly hard boss battle and impossible odds.. But i am a dungeon person that says the harder the better >:D i still have not beat arah path 4.. so i will say that makes up for it. I am very glad though that i can actually beat the story. I never did the story mode before the patch so i do not know your pain.. unless it was like path 4 for me. lol

I don’t grind anything. I have not even bothered getting ascended gear at all.. heck i dont even care very much about exotic armor (looks fancy) I have actually ran dungeons with whole groups completely naked.. it really didnt change much (got downed in 5 hits instead of 6 without using heal)and we still beat it. I have no problems being just as good as other players in WvW or pve.. often times i actually see fully decked out characters that just plain suck. Other than that, the developers i have seen talking about the gear stats.. it seems to me that they just laugh at the tiny difference it gives.. this game is much more skill based than stat based. If you sit in one spot and mindless chop away at chickens with your warrior’s 100blade i can almost guarantee that you will not get any better at the game when you get your exotic items from it. you will however .. if you get the right stat boosts on your new exotics… mindlessly chop away at chickens a little faster. YAY

When i do dungeons, i do not care who joins my party and will also stay in the dungeon until it is complete no matter how long it takes. I actually like taking new groups through or doing story modes with people, helping them along. But i don’t think that it matters what game you play, the ‘elitist’ gamers who will do things one way and never accept anything else… they forgot what gaming is. I also go to low level areas a lot to just run around and do stuff sometimes.. Other MMOs that i have played, if i get no help from other players and no one goes out and talks to new me i will lose interest in the game and quit quite fast. luckily in this game i met like minded people in my guild and dungeon group.

All we can do is .. well.. quite obviously, that one thing that most of us hear ’oh so often. treat others as you would like to be treated. perhaps the more we do that the more we will see it in return.

Efficiency IS fun for some of us! Sorry but running the same path hundreds of times is just not fun, no matter the time gap between each run.
But speedrunning it? and having the rush feeling involved? yes please.

I made lots of gaming buds from them slow, tedious, dungeon runs but cannot name a person i did a speed run with. I am casual gamer though, i suppose you might be the opposite on the friends you remember names of.. lol

That will fix most of my Grind issues hopefully.

sounds like you need to move on to a different game that you might actually find enjoyable.

Sometimes I am just so confused.. I payed 60 dollars for this game and got someething like 60 hours of game play before i hit level 80.. compared to something like BF3 where i payed 60$ for a 6 hour story line on the hardest difficulty. Even Dragon Age i got 40 hours. diablo 3, 10 hours.. and so on..
If a game is not fun/disappointing for you why not just move on to another game?

my only complaint for the current ascended gear is that it offers less for healing power than my current exotic items.. otherwise the stat variation looked perty good to me.

i would probably just make it normal armor until you used an attack or something and instantly become super sayian. golden spikey hair and all.
