Hotfix incoming. It’s so hawt and lava-infused. It’s like molten sun magma is dripping into an ocean of flames. And then put it in the microwave on popcorn setting, but then push the “add 30 second” button like 400 times. And there are lit candles around.
It’s that hawt.

People keep asking to make some events permament, while I understand the feeling, doing so will do more harm than good.
You are having fun right now, sure, but give it 3 weeks and most people will get it over their systems.
Making holiday events temporary keeps it exiting and fresh and gives people a reason to return to Tyria next year. I for one cant wait to do the halloween and christmas jumping puzzles again!
The “mine cart” bonus zone of World 1 reminds me of the bonus level on Street Fighter 2 where you had to smash up the car

Youre right, Aoe Should have no limit.
To compensate single target skills now do triple dmg to make them not completely worthless in comparison, since people are not happy with taking effort to owning nubz in large numbers. Also, we have removed all siege since one 100b warrior can elimate an entire zerg that attempts to rush build it.
/sarcasmYou should at least think about the nightmare of balancing multi-hit and single hit attacks before you post more worthless threads. If you claim your Aoe does nothing, does my single hit attack that deals equal dmg without the chance to hit more than one character do negative nothing?
The balance is quite simple: player proximity.
A melee profession charging down a squishy and owning him can be relatively easy due to roots and CC. You know what nearly all AoE in the game has? These big red warning signs on the ground. If a player doesn’t know enough to get out of it, why should a crutch mechanic especially in open world WvWvW ensure he takes no damage?
If there were no AoE limits, guess what would happen? Players would stop mindless mobbing, and have to actually think. Little impact in sPvP (not enough players on the map plus they’re not stupid), tough to round up enough mobs in PvE to really take advantage of no AoE cap, so the only real effect would be WvWvW.
I for one am sick of the giant zergs simply playing tag across giant maps. No limit AoE would force players to carefully consider team composition, and weigh whether they had enough damage/protection to cap points, kill supply yaks, etc.
Every profession has single target attacks, every profession has AoE. Some have MORE, but not to the exclusion of all else. The balance doesn’t have to be numerical, its simply player situational awareness. Perhaps before you criticize my “worthless threads” you should take a step back and examine the Wv3 meta and see just how lame it is and what potential it has.
Farm CoF endlessly and tirelessly.
How come these topics derail so often in people arguing who is playing the game more correct than the other?
One uses gold he has farmed, another farms the baubles… and yet one says the other is doing it wrong and didn’t have the ‘real’ fun playing the game.
Very odd, and almost pathetic as a discussion to be honest. For me at least, you go ahead if you like…
Best “done with GW2” thread ever.
I came to this thread to say good bye to another troll on another stupid thread, but this genuinely made me laugh.
agreed, this update is awesome!

I play Super Adventure Box now
Think he meant the open world chests.
Just farm them in the starter zones. I never get kbed or such with those while in melee, plus they melt like butter.
(Also the skins are awesome, but I’ll excuse you calling them pathetic just because you seem very angry at the moment.)

6 bauble bubbles per 15 min run of first 3 boss chests per character slot per day (8 in my case) = 48 bauble bubbles per day (+ easy to get the last 2 bubbles). That’s 1 weapon skin a day that takes me about 2 hours or so to do.
Hardly difficult, long or time consuming ‘grind’ when I think ‘grind’ I think korean type MMO where you need to kill the same things for weeks to get anything worthwhile. If you really think that’s grind try Tera for 20 levels (I swear you fight the exact same mobs at level 1 the entire way through to at least level 20 where I quit) or get a full hardcore raid set in WoW
Don’t take me the wrong way it just takes a bit of practice to get the paths down and it doesn’t really take that long to get enough baubles for skins once you do. Another tip would be opening all the chests you find in the open world while doing your daily. Drops quite a few baubles!
If speed running to the end chests isn’t your thing, going out of your way to visit secrets, dig spots and open chests will significantly increase your bauble earning. Helping your friends get achievements in the box is also a good way to get baubles without it feeling grindy.

You can do world 1 in about 15 min once you know the correct/efficient path to run. You can easily get all of the skins you want before the month is over.
Just farm zone 1 and 2 on alts. I got my 50 baubles and my greatsword yesterday.

Is this ArenaNet’s homage to the mid-1980’s 8-bit classic “Bubble Bobble”?
Based on your data i would question your assumption. You see legendary two handed swords every where you go how many times do you see the predator? 15 dusks for sale no hunter. If The Energizer droped as often as Dusk the tp would be swimming in them. I would assumn that there is a bias towards the “more popular” skins some where in the code, which has been thrown out a little now some skins got an upgrade.
Remember though, one method of precursor creation is the MF, which means more popular precursors like Dusk/Dawn are created a bit more often than less-popular ones like The Hunter.
I see a lot of threads being created regarding the supply of precursors and its effect on their price. What I see most often is complaints about a single precursor or a select few. I have never seen a comparison of all of the precursors at once though, so I did one myself.
I may be mistaken, but it would be my guess that “all precursors are created equally” in the eyes of ArenaNet and the calculation of the drop rate from a loot table. What I mean by that is that if comparing Dawn, Dusk, or The Hunter…..their chance to drop from a mob is equal to the chance that Venom, The Bard, or Carcharias could drop.
Given that, I put together a little spreadsheet to compare ALL of the precursors and their respective Legendaries in an attempt to see how “demand” affects the price of these items.
What I found was that the items people complain most often about not dropping often enough are also the ones with the highest sell prices on the Trading Post. The reverse is also true. The precursors and Legendaries you never hear people complain about are also the ones that look to be in lower “demand”.
Keep in mind that I’m well aware that the data from GW2Spidy regarding “supply” and “demand” do not equate to the real supply and demand. Since we don’t have, nor will we ever have, that data, I used what was available to me in an attempt get a hold on this myself. I have posted my results here as a topic of conversation.
My findings are, whether you like it or not, that prices are being dictated by the player base. The more people that want an item will inherently drive its price up. If less people wanted The Hunter, Dawn or Dusk, my guess is the prices of those items would go down.
Enjoy, discuss…..complain!!!!
Logic will never win an argument on the forums…..only a sense of entitlement will.

Pretty sure Box O’ Fun has had these for a while.
Tarnished Coast is about as good as it’s gonna get.
ArenaNET: THANK YOU for listening!
Seeing this item in the gem store, with no RNG, meant an instant buy for me.
That’s how I like it!
Unless they changed the price recently. Endless Cat tonic = 100 laurels not 1000 laurels

they’d have 8-bit-ified our characters for April 1st, in much the same way they once turned us all into stick figures.
Somebody else remembers using papertape!
(Nightmare memories of using a rack of punchcards to load operating system… and.. watching someone ….drop…. the entire thing).
Husband and I are both 55, going on 56 and we know gamers that are 10-30 years older than us.
Neither of us are in any way shape or form nostalgic for arcade games. Btw, we both hate jump puzzles. We understand many players think jump puzzles are fun and we wish them joy! We would not want them removed just because that particular portion of the game “does not cater to us”. Nor do we base our experience of the entire game around one particular aspect.
That’s because we do not have the “entitled” expectations of a great many of the current generation of gamers. (Mature gamers of any age excepted.)
If you are planning to talk “demographics”, we can have a very long discussion in another thread about the multiple ways to segment the constituencies within the MMO market and within GW2 specifically.
-“hardcore” player
PS: I think ANet was trying to put a bit of “silly” into April, as well as “paying homage” to some of the video games that have come before. Was a nice gesture.

People in their 30s have more money than you.
Congrats. You have realized the world doesn’t revolve and you and your tastes. Now move along.
And focus on what’s really wrong with the game.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
