Ya that all sounds great! I do love the sword/bow aspect, I know the bow works well with condi, but what about the sword? Does sword work better with power of condi? i like the idea of melee with stepping back out of the fight to provide buffs and support.
Hello all.
My fav class from guild wars 1 was the paragon, I loved the idea of a commander type running from the front lines to mid range to fight and buff party members. Warrior seems to be the close second to the paragon. What build would i want to look at for this? or maybe what class if the war does not really fit? Mostly play group content with some wvw small scale. Thanks
I am looking to craft my first set of ascended gear for my ranger and would like some insight on which sets people find success with. For the most part i would like he most viability out of this set, i.e. would work in any game mode. On my ranger i tend to run Axe or Sword main hand with any off hand that fits the moment and a GS or LB in my weapon swap. I enjoy the closer to melee ranger(axe/sword/gs) utilizing regen and good dodges to win fights.

Long time GW2 player returning after a break. I am currently on ehmry bay and it seems to be really low on pop. Maybe i am on at bad times, i dont know . Any recommended Guilds/Servers? Mainly i am looking for Pve content and fractals, but also enjoy some WvW
I would also be interested to watch regular ranger content an vids. Right now the only thing i have is Sitting on a couch gaming ranger podcast, but those dont come out fast enough.

Honestly dont know what to really tell you. If you have an issue with ALL the classes then the game might just not be your cup of tea. That being said, i do not feel like warriors are every where. Maybe you just notice them more since you are looking for them. I first played mesmer and i say them every where after that. I would have to say that i depends on where you want to play the classes. PvE most classes will feel easy and simple. WvW can add a spice to the classes with dealing with ZergvZerg or solo roaming. All in all if you really like the warrior that much then i say just play it and see. Really look into the class more and try to go out side of the box.
Right now i am going 30/x/x/10/30 with axe/mace +longbow
Can some one share with me some builds that work with main hand Axe for Wvw, or Dungeons. Bonus if it updated with this last patch.

No level of unfair relax Kolisch. Just wondering how they do it. Think about rolling an Engie or theif. Need a break from my mesmer.
How is it Engies can apply confusion?
I could possibly be down for this. Though not much exp in sPVP.
I’d prefer:
- GS: #1 pierces or #1 has a ~300 AoE at the target
Great sword 1 does hit all targets within the beam.
I believe GSword 1 hits up to 2 or 3 extra targets within the beam but I’m pretty sure it’s capped.
I have a hard time not traiting for weapon cooldowns. I run a Phantasm build and it can be challenging in PvE to keep all three active so those traits are just too important. Also, I’m impatient so improved cooldowns are great for me.

The damage drop could be from the underwater weapons and helm. Im guessing your land helm is better than your breather at least.
Also check out tuning crystals…6% of toughness and 4% of vit in condition dmg

Look for some advice on builds for both farming and run dungeons. I usually guild run dungeons and always have at least one competent guardian. Farming is solo or with the same guardian. Suggestions? What are you guys doing?
Working on farming for a legendary. What is a good build for farming all the mats? Also what are your thoughts on legendary weapons for the mesmer? What weaps are mesmer working for.
I know it is not the best use of a necro to build power and go for direct damage, but can we? i would love to use the staff and melee with some direct damage. If so can some one share some builds?

That is all good to hear, i am not really to worried since i mained a mesmer to 80 with nothing but pve witch is not the strong suit for them. I also heared that we have some buffs incoming at “some point” down the line?
I have started my ranger at day 1, got him to 20. Then leveled my mesmer to 80 and did all that fun stuff. Now im looking to finish my ranger, but i see alot of people talking about how bleh they are. Is it just in pvp that this is the case? i mostly stick to dungeons and pve with a splash of guild WvW.
My question is are rangers fun for pve and can they be efficient in orr and working towards end game stuff?

In a way i like this system, sure its not the best, but i do have fun working down a target then dropping illusions on the next target. Big this i hear is mesmer dps has up time or you don’t get all the illusions out since the target dies, well if you are fighting a mob and he is going down summon your duelist to get a head start on the next guy.
Any one have some good shatter builds to share? Also what traits would be best, the obvious one is illusion traits, but do the x effect when illusion dies count on shatter? how about dueling and domination tree.

lol i dont have to avoid anything because i dont use exploits, there no fun. Yes the dungeons are hard, just stop making lamekitten reasons like AN made them impossible so we have to exploit.
Just because you cant do it does not make it hard. I also never said they were not hard just not impossible. You don’t cheat on a test because you don’t know how to do it, or take steroids because you suck at baseball so don’t try to justify exploits and cheats.
I think exploiting is bad but the part described is virtually impossible to do without exploiting because your entire team will be destroyed in seconds, this happened to me as well when I first did CoF, until my party members told us to go around it, we got destroyed every time, therefor I think people shouldn’t be banned for these exploits, because first of all, they obviously made it exploitable, and second, they made the dungeons way too hard wich gave us no choice.
Really? no choice? i have not found a dungeon story mode or explore that was so hard that we could not do it had to exploit it. that is a lame excuse.
One thing that a group did today was after the last part, after the boss, if you wait 3 min a wall blows up and you can loot another chest and the boss chest again. this just seems more than some random bug to me.

This is the same for me lol
The reason i bring it up is that im trying to keep others alive longer. I have ran a confusion build and i have ran a power/crit build. Yes i am talking about group settings and particular group dungeons.
Also what runes/jewels would you recommend?

Im not sure how i feel about the illusion of life. i love it in concept, but the recharge is a bit long and i find most of the time those people only get up just to fall again. I do like how it can get people away from danger to a say point to rally, but i wonder if that is worth it. Any other thoughts about the skill?
I tend to group up with my guildies, so i have a slanted view on dungeons. What i do is i get our ranged to come to my illusions and hit them all at once. I dont see why this would be a big issue with random players, Just a little talking.
I was thinking of using the runes of dwayna for the regen boost. I would think this would work well with the phantasms regen and gaining you a good amount of protection.
