You’re right, your crit damage is too low to get the full axe potential, while your toughness is way too high.
I’d switch some knight gear to berserker instead of dropping 20pts from defence tree if I were you, the traits are way too good for front line zerging.
I’d also recommand taking berserker stance instead of balanced stance, it gives you another condi bypass + builds adrenaline for your F1, pretty cool IMO.
PS : leg specialist (tactic I) is fun to use with hammer 3 ^^ but empower is cool too.

I definitely feel more useful in zergs with my heavy toons than with the rest of my characters.
I like my necro too but it kinda lacks constant Aoe damage and CC (too much cooldowns + single-target auto-attacks)
How about Warhorn + lung capacity instead of shout-build ? ( Condi convertor + Vigor )
If a dungeon part doesn’t require condi-removal you can just switch your tactic traits to +150 power, better banner or a dps trait.

I personally hate engineers in dungeons cuz I have been running too much into these guys :
- Flamethrowerlol engie : bad dps cuz they don’t switch + their flame cone covers the whole boss animation making it way more difficult to predict the attack of a boss and dodge.
- Bumpaholic engie : they bump everything at the wrong time making the melee dudes dps less or worse ( we already failed a boss cuz the engie bumped it at the worst time possible)
Not that great dps + potential to ruin your party = facepalm when engie joins
- Support engie is not bad but it’s pretty rare and a guardian is usually better most of the time.

If you want to chase then spec for mobility :
Flashing Blade : insta 600 teleport
Judge’s Intervention : insta 1200 teleport
Leap of Faith : 600
Binding Blade : pull
Not that bad IMO.
If they ever find a solution to discourage zerg you guys will still complain about unbalance like :
“OMG !!! 30vs20 !!!
then
“OMG !!! 20vs19 ! "
then
“OMG !!! full [insert OP class] squad zerg !! noobs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Go beg Anet to give you some kind of “balanced GvG environment” instead of complaining about zergs in WvWvW.
Learn to dodge at the right moment or go high Regen/Toughness build, low dps but you can actually go AFK while a karka is attacking you xD

Optimal DPS PvE builds usually have this pattern in common :
Axe / Greatsword
20 Strength for +10% dmg with GS
25 Arms for GS trait & +10% dmg on bleeding target
15 Discipline for fast Axe/GS rotation
The rest is up to you.
Use 100b/Whirlwind/Rush with Greatsword and switch to Axe for auto-attack.
Warriors could do OK with only some slight changes like reduced healing cooldown or access to protection, more evade, better CC ect …
We definitely need a sustain buff to be competitive, not some silly damage trait increase like boonhate …

Got some horrible lags on my warrior today but on my other alt it was ok … really weird
I hate Lion’s Arch, it takes too much time to load and it’s overcrowded.
I’d love to have some kind of personal free teleport option to one of my favorite major city or just be able to change the Lion’s Arch portals destinations.

Try Axe/Greatsword and leave rifle for tough bosses, it’s faster and more dynamic. You could also use a longbow which is pretty fun against large pack of mobs.
Warriors were always supposed to be a mobile class, that’s in their official description.
I’m not sure that a warrior can out run an Ele with only using a Greatsword, you’ll most likely need Sword/Greatsword to catch the typical full-escaping-utility Ele.
Here is a little fun thing to enjoy. I will make a scenario “what if…” and those who want to play will tell “what happen”. Here go
Scenario 1: What if one day Anet apply these change:
Warrior Rush skill 20s CD on hit and 40s CD on miss.
Ranger Whoosh skill 20s CD on hit and 40s CD on miss.
Warrior can not use heal while in Endure Pain state.And all other moving skill that has the similar effect or give invulnerable or no dams apply the same change.
The skills you’re trying to compare are far more powerful on the Ele than on the Warrior but let’s play :
Warrior Rush 40s on miss ? Not that big deal actually, why ? Cuz it’s an awefull charge skill, I only use it for the damage at very close range or for retreating, which in that case 1 Rush + all other mobility skills are enough.
No heal + Endure Pain ? Our heals are direct and on long cooldowns, so I don’t care that much about that combo.
And all other moving skill that has the similar effect : So you want to nerf bull rush from 40sec to 80sec on miss ? That sure will hurt, I guess we’ll use it more carefully or not at all.
Conclusion : You can’t compare similar skill nerf on different professions, they don’t have the same mechanics, gameplay, ect …

But I really hope they give you better alternatives on other weapons and more viable builds, being pigeonholed as a one build class really sucks.
Once ArenaNet implement proper arenas for people to GvG then maybe all these people just WvW for fights can go GvG.

Getting really tired of those “GvG moralists” in WvW.
Zerk is good if you know when to dodge, how to place yourself in the zerg and if you can react fast ( and if you have no lags xD)
Knight/cavalier/zerk mix gives you better toughness but you still get melted as fast as a zerk by conditions.
PVT is the best for front line tanking and soaking up damage, the added vitality really helps a lot against conditions which can stack really high in front of the zerg.

I’m no pro warrior but here is the pattern that I found most average Joe Mesmers use :
1/ They try to burst you down
2/ They’ll try to trick you with clones, decoy, teleport …
3/ They’ll start running
1/ Dodge, use shield, avoid initial burst at all cost
2/ Take your time guessing which is the real one, don’t waste all your burst on one spot cuz he’ll certainly just teleport, break stun or else.
3/ They usually use stealth and start running while you have a great chat with his clones, dont let him fool you, a mesmer will almost never run straight into a warrior, so start taking some terrain advantage before he gets out of reach and don’t forget using stability if he uses his temporal curtain to push you back.
If you manage to get that far he should be pretty much dead.

I’m pretty sure that the missile reflection of feedback did more damage to a zerg than the actual 2-4 confusion stacks of the glamour build. But it sure was a great way of tagging zergs & making bags ^^

1. Bulls charge
2. Frenzy
3. Hundred bladesAm i right? 95% of the warriors did that, and i was SO HAPPY when it was nerfed. if you were one of them, please dont complain. You KNOW it was OP yourself, therefor if you didnt see the nerf coming.. Your problem, you should

They nerfed frenzy build but you can still make good use of your zerk gear (or whatever gear you used) with a different build.
And come on, gear aquisition in GW2 is not that hard (unless you want to be full ascended on every character), you have many ways to get a new exotic gear : karma, dungeon farming, crafting, buying on TP …
10 min with 1 Mesmer & 4 zerk Warriors while doing ok with the flame balls room ?
Clearly something wrong with those warriors …
PvE : Guardians are better at giving boons and have easy access to the most powerful boons ( protection, stability, aegis) while Mesmers are better at manipulating them ( boon removal, boon stealing, boon duplication via signet … )
WvW zerg : The two classes are actually quite similar, both are used for their overpowered utilities. Guardians will be better front-liners while Mesmers can wreck more chaos in an enemy zerg ( cf prestige confusion builds)
IMO people who got 10+10 laurels this month probably won’t get any laurel next month.
and their group support is pretty much nil (Their shortbow is very nice though if someone else has a fire field to bring along – drop a ring of fire on the mobs, let the thief go point blank and pop off 3-4 blast finishers, hnnngh).
Actually i’d love to come across an initiative specced combo finisher thief in my party
Might stacking, heal spamming, Aoe blinding on packs .. could be awesome, but good luck finding a thief playing that way …
Now back to the topic :
Any class as long as the player is a bit smart( like the ones that get away from red circles), knows his class and can adapt to the situation ( like bringing condition removal utilities when fighting heavy DoTing bosses or like using immobilize skills against CoF path 2 assassins or Dredge Boss fractal ect … not obvious to everyone sadly …)
It’s not dead, it’s just that many people have lost their enthusiasm and gone on “stand by” because of the many issues in sPvP and WvWvW.
I think that you can still use utility skills.
Short answer: if its red its dead. I wont ever accept offers of a 1v1 duel mainly cause the players who want to duel are specced for duels, my necro is specced for group support in wvw and does little damage, taking ages for me to kill anyone 1v1.
Now for a story. Yesterday or the day before, I was alone at an enemy BL where there was 3 or 4 enemies waiting outside the spawn. I ran out and they started attacking me, so I kited one guy too close to guards and he got killed, that annoyed his guildie who tried to get me but i feared him into the guard range and he died too, then the 3rd guy started running away (kiting maybe) i killed him legit as more of his guildies arrived, who were also careless enough to get kited into guard range.
That’s when the group invite spam started, they were either mad or wanted to duel I assume. They had 6 guildies at this stage so I run out and start to fight one of them 1v1, it was a long drawn out fight, I couldn’t kill him and he couldnt kill me, I got bored and he got sloppy and he was kited into guard range and he died, then all his buddies charged me to kill me (cause what I did was not cool if you a dueler) and res their guildie but they got aoe feared and I managed to kill their glass cannon dps dude and spiked his heart surrounded by a well of darkness.
They did eventually kill me 6v1, but in the end I had 8 kills and they had 1. Duelers are skilled yo!
Yeah that’s typical bad MMO duelist BS, they always have stupid “dueling rules” that only applies to you but not to them.
If he attacks you in the back that’s fair but if you dare do that against him prepare yourself for incoming whiner on your guild TS.
Longbow is fun, it has great panic effect on zerglings but don’t get owned by wall reflection or feedback xD
I always wondered wtf are duelists doing in WvWvW ? If I was a big duel fan I’d go sPvP all day long.
WvWvW is the exact opposite of fair fight in an “under control” environment, you never know what is going to happen.
Or maybe they’re not that good duelist versus 1vs1 specced players, so they come to WvWvW to duel support/team specced players ?
I use immobilize quiet a lot against elementalist but some of them just don’t seem to care about conditions, it’s like :
immobilize → cured → cripple → cured → 2nd immobilize → cured → …..
Should try rifle or hammer next time
…I went full MF, currently at 130-150ish % . . . and I don’t see any differences -_-’
I still get crappy loot . . . I think MF is broken, cuz I seriously don’t get better loot on my full MF main character than I do on my no MF alt character

I’m a total Johnny, I always take the least used builds or traits and try to make something fun out of it.
I kinda like underwater combat but I hate the “dead but still able to move” and the “no stomp” downed mode.

When I start running the sword slowly slips out of my charr’s hand and ends up being handled by the pommel … which looks pretty bad for a sword
Forget about condition damage if you’re not geared for it
With 130 CD you’ll only gain +32 dmg per tick on your burning skills ….
Go full condition damage or not at all, the “in between” option is not worth it IMO

this is one of the dumbest things i’ve ever read.
The only reason why someone likes to go in a zerg is that he has no skill and has to rely on numbers to win.
Zerging is not funny at all and require no strategy nor skill; it is just “cast the spell before the target dies so maybe i can get something”
How can you tell if you are a good player when you just kill ppl in 50 vs 5 ?
Go buy some skill and then split up!
Of course it requires no strategy when it’s 50 vs 5 captain obvious -_- I’m talking about the 50 vs 50 zergs …
People also make zerg so they don’t have to make 20 round trip to the supply depot to build siege to take a castle not because they have no skill btw WvWvW is all about capturing points not who’s the best duelist.
I don’t mind paying the repair fee when I am killed or on the verge of being killed but paying because of stupid dc or being punished while I could have afk for hours is bad.
Yeah make a timer but not this …
I heard that one guy on the forum got his golem busted because of this …. lol

High ini build + black powder at melee + shoot with pistol at melee for extra projectile blind combo
Great for tank trolling people, not that great for damage.

Generic uniforms would be cool, it would make WvWvW raids looks like real armies rather than undisciplined mob.
