In first time I thought only colision like a barrier, character will be like a mobile piece of scenario, but still be a character that attack, defend and other stuff. Friendly fire is too much for me XD. But this implementation will change the role “stack on commander” and promote more strategic combats, positioning and combat formation than only Stack and run over the enemys.
Hi, this is an issue that I think about: Colision in WvW.
This is possible? whould be a viable increment in WvW?
If characters function as obstacle in WvW this will change the dynamics of combat, I think in a simple way, characters work as a simple obstacles. Frontline characters could block with their bodies small passages, bridges or a broken wall or door, like a medieval army. I don’t know how hardy is to implement this in the programing of the game, but I think that it will change completely the way people think and play WvW.
My queue don’t work, I try to enter in the Yaks border for the reset and stay at position 29, OK, than qhen I was the first I was send to position 59.
Well, the build that I use with my guild in WvW is this:
This is a frontline build, very usefull, very strong with support/attack but need training.
In the front with an Eng you can area blind the foes, burn, poison and apply confusion just with bombs with a 3k average area damage plus heal for a small amount. You can gain fury and might more few sec. of Stability, that is good for the first assault. Remember to protect your back with BoB before attack. Well, if the situation need a little more support, use the healing turret to water field and elixir gun to remove condition and a little heal with a light field. It was the best build that I can run in the frontline against zergs… Note that you have tons of dodge and might. You will notice too that when you are stunned you nearly don’t suffer from direct damage because of the damage redution of the traits and food and you have a lot of condition duration reduction… Nice play…

My Eng: Major Calabresa
The turrets are not a viable option in the middle of a zerg because they are destroyed before u can use the blast. Grenades are good option to tower defense, I agree, but they are too slow in the middle of the battle in open field. Fumigate don’t remove the condition in the Eng that using the EG, only in the cone in front of it, so, Eng has a Lack of condition removal. My choice option to use Water Fields are the healing turret and Regenerating Mist + Acid Bomb, you can use this combo in the middle of battle, supporting your team, just use Fumigate and the combo, help a lot and when the commander uses empower, use the turret. My best option is to use Bombs, Elixir Gun and Elixir B, good attack/support options.

Yes the diversity is pretty low in best engis one of the class problems but it’s not like mesm, thief or ranger atm it’s much higher input for zerg.
Is a good Eng in a Zerg, but see that this video reforce my points, he always walk with the guardians, that probably remove their conditions and give Stability. Eng has a lack of condition removal and stability, only 4 sec with the elixir B toolkit is few. For this reason we need a guardian besides us in a zerg, but the amount of damage and other possibilitys like water fields is great, but requires training and study.
Well, I agree with Bombsaway.7198 and Arantheal.7396 and much that you guys told are what I see when I play my Eng. He is my main, but I play WvW a lot and my guild commanders always ask me to bring my Warrior, Ele or Necro depending of situation, but never ask me to bring Eng. So, what my warrior, ele or necro have that my eng can’t bring to zerg battle? Well, as you guys told, maybe are the stability and fast stun that the warrior with a hammer have, or the constant condition remove that my ele (d/d) have or the strong debuffer/damage and few survability that a power necro have, but eng can do something that no other class can do that is your strongest point is be the “jack of all trades”. I know you will told “master of none” and I agree, being a “jack of all trades master of none” is really anoing but when we are inside a large scale battle with other classes that can supply one or two lacks like stability or condition removal (guardians can do it and every battle we need one) the eng can help a lot with damage, fields and small and constant heal.
Efficient Engs are rare because it demands time and knowledge to master and other more straight oriented classes as warriors or ele don’t. I played GW1 sinse 2006 and I see GW2 borning and taking his form and I remember the order of classes launch and there are launched in a complexity play order, and Eng was not the first, neither the seccond, but one of the last, first was Ele and seccond War.
This point I can told that Eng is a efficient zerg WvW class with restrictions and always need a Guardian to help in large scale battles. But no worries we can help and make the difference because we can play 2 roles at same time, but no all, soo, one Guardian and one Eng can be equivalent to 3 mans, but it demands time and knoledge to master.
I’ll try this build to zerg, but always have in mind that you will need some help and can change roles all the time.

To solve this problem just use “Mist Form” after Ice Bow, it works ^^
Me and my guild loved the video, I agreed that is not new, but when we face zergs lately people just run and hit, and many people die. I just don’t reached the 10k and I hit around 7,6 -8,5k and I’m far from the 3k armor or the 20k HP. But this build is effective when we take a few care like position and 300 Spartan strategy, splay and kill, that is the merit of the videos and the Lasiurus.4067 guild. We trying another variants with small groups against big zergs and still working. I’d like to see your stats Lasiurus.4067. Thanks ^^
Ps.: Did you notice that he has 5 stacks of defense against guardians, guard killer more the border buff and 12 stacks of might plus fury. If he is hitting low level or Zerk players probably is possible to hit 10k with their build.

Our Guilda Ultimate Legion (from the Sanctum of Rall server) is showing to the people of Tyria our own candidate to the Captains Council – Treze.
Treze is a bad kitten necromancer born in the Shivepeaks and can be seeing in the WvW all the time. Know as “One mans Army” Treze put the fear in the heart of our enemies.
- I’ll reduce the siege weapons and Black Lions fee for four months
- I’ll support a new instance in the Fractal, telling the story named “Dhumm is free, but Treze rule it back to UW”
- I’ll introduce a rotating schedule of activities such as Crab Toss and Southsun Survival.

I’ll intent to use this for WvW, but I’m not tested.
Off course my stats are not this from the build and I used ruby’s than the Divinity Runes. U guys could change the berserker armor from one with Power, Tough and Vit for better survability, and probably works well.
The function of this build is to control ppl near the walls or be the front line to stun and neutralize the players for other dps kill the enemy. The damage could be decent, around 2,5-3k from crit using the berserker armor and the burst skill from hammer.

Well, I change some things like skills, weapons and traits, trying to maximize the fun and damage. One probably answer to the question: “Why u don’t use Merciless Hammer?” is because I preffer to use “Last Stand” and gain stability for 8s and continue to use my skills than lost few seconds of recharge in the hammer skills.

Well guys, I played as Mesmer for a long time and actually I’m playing as a warrior. When I played as Mesmer I never lost from a Warrior, I usually played with Sword/Pistol and Staff, using shaterer build. With many critical hits, a Mesmer can full very quickly their endurance and dodge enought to gain time to kill a Warrior. One think that u could do is interrupt and cc the Mesmer as much as u can. One solution is to change your weapon, a Hammer could be a better option than the GS with your primary weapon. The Warrior that was harder to kill generally used hammer but I have many break-stuns skills and a few times I win for a close advantage. So, try a different approach against mesmers like hammers an CC’s, with the burst skill u can destroy the clones and stun the real one. The other advices like “Don’t burn all you CC skills” is a good advice. Try the WvW, the encounters in this battlefield are generally hard.
After the implementation of the Unbreakable Choir Bell and some discuss with some friends we realized that some music implementations could be fun.
Our suggestions is:
1-) Create a command like /guitar and put /“the path” to the GW2 file when we could put some kind of pre-made music and our char could play the song, a system similar to used by LOTRO.
2-) Another possibility is a implementation of new instruments like guitars, drums, flutes, etc, but one time that our skills changed we can use a mini-game like Mario Paint to write the partiture and play the song. Any instrument could be sould for gems and be account bound.
3-) A mix between the two suggestions above could be an other good idea.

For me, the introduction of agony and all the new itens are a bad thing. I’ll explain, first of all, in a long time range, the new itens will take several impact in the economy of the game and the Dungeons it self.
In the economy issue, the new itens, even being a little more powerfull are more powerfull and just this fact will be enought to rise the prices of the new and reduce the price of the old and all people that invest your time and money to aquire the itens to sold in the market will be prejudice.
For the Dungeons, they will be visited by less persons, one time that the itens (in the future) will be less powerfull than that aquired in the new DG and this will be terrible, people only lay the DG for the silver or for the Skin, but will be obligated to farm the new DG to gain the itens and this is bad.
One other issue is: If Anet re worried about people doing legendary weapons so fast, why change their politics (the aesthetic) making Legendary easier to aquire and make than more powerfull? This sound a little strange to me, why not even make the new itens only Aesthetic and not powerfull and make the possibility to infuse our current itens.
I’m really disapointed with ANET, they going to the bad side of the Wow expansions when a new iten change everything (of course in a different scale).

The Skill point near Bayt Fallahin still not working after the patch correction in Crystal Desert. This is my last point to close all the world and I’m waiting at least one week to finish this skill point.
