As far as I know, no…you will get the quaggan skin and an item with the mad king backpack stats but not its appearance. Anyone else know differently?

You can transfer it over to your Charr. Just use a transmutation stone (or crystal if the armor is level 80) to transmute the appearance onto a white piece of armor, which should make it account bound instead. Then you can use another transmutation stone to transmute it to your Charr’s armor.

Yes, you won’t be able to switch now, but before you know it you’ll have more Zenith skins than you know what to do with.

I believe a splitter will give you one item with the skin you chose when you transmuted it, and one item with the stats you chose when you transmuted it. Unfortunately, I do not believe you can get the gem store skin back if you clicked the wrong one. Correct me if I’m wrong?

I don’t know the answer to this one, but thought I’d give you a bump to see if anyone else is having issues? I don’t know what the gloves are supposed to look like.

I haven’t personally, but I understand they are a rare drop chance from the boss chests in the new Aetherblade path of TA.

I just got it, and went to the continue room more times than I care to admit. So that is not an issue.

For World 2, Dulfy says that Bachelor of Baubles and the “kill all ninjas” one can be done at once. Same with the Master of Baubles and Master of Secrets, and Associate of Baubles and Associate of Secrets (and maybe the “don’t make the hillbillies angry” one too). I’m too tired to go look it up though…

I’ll have to agree with you. I don’t have your mad combat skillz (fractal level 71???) but I think that the Tequatl fight could definitely be improved to rely less on luck (who’s manning those turrets?) and more on skill. I don’t even want to try it at this point.

I think that’s correct but really the only way to find out is to try it, and that could be a costly mistake. Only an official response could confirm or deny.

You really need to dodge jump, but it’s very doable. Make sure your dodge is bound to a key on your keyboard. Start at the far end of the ledge, run toward the destination and then press your space bar and the dodge key at the same time. You can do it! Good luck.

What about legendaries that have been transmuted? Don’t you get the whole legendary back, including its stats (and the ability to change them at will)? Plus some generic item with the previous stats?

Very interesting results, both of you! I know someone who had a Vision of the Mists they transmuted another appearance onto. According to you, LordByron, they would not get their Vision of the Mists back…just another item with the same stats. The skin is lost forever. Kind of sad! Also sad that separating a skin and its stats results in an item that requires a transmutation stone/crystal to apply to a new item. Boo.

It is true that the skin can only be applied once, as a skin. However, you can transmute it as many times as you want thereafter, using transmutation stones (for under level 80 items) and transmutation crystals (for level 80 items). So there’s no reason not to buy it for your sub-level-80 in my opinion, as the transmutation stones are free and plentiful from zone completions and dailies and the like. I bought the Phoenix armor for my level 41 mesmer and she is very happy in it. Whenever she gets a new set of armor, I just transmute the skin onto the new set.

The one reason to hold off would be if you have no fine transmutation stones and no means of getting them. If that is the case, then you would want to wait until you had your “final” level 80 exotic armor set to use the skins. However, keep in mind that ascended armor will be coming out next year sometime, so “final” is relative.

I have heard the flute can help with the ice cave…there’s evidently a song that will make all the icicles drop before you enter. I haven’t done it myself so I cannot verify this but anything to make it easier!

You know what converted me to Charr? Tybalt. After going through the Whispers storyline I just have to make a Charr.

I actually think that if you still have the stats from Visions of the Mists, with the appearance of Crystal Guardian, you might get Visions of the Mists back.

Just a small correction; with the latest updates crafting from 1-400 only gains you about 8 levels of xp, with crafting from 400-500 yielding the last 2 levels, for 10 levels total per profession, at least for those crafting professions that go up to 500 at the moment.

Finally got 13/13 today…Bloodtide Coast was the bugged one for me. Hope that helps.

To OP: I hear you and understand what you are saying. Through each of these “mini-content” expansions, the world has changed its look and feel. In one of them, everyone was in Southsun with +200 MF, in another they were all in the Crown Pavilion, and now the Crown Pavilion is so empty I do not know if I will be able to complete the related achievements, as everyone is in the “location of the hour.”

The achievement tab is not as bad as it seems and you will get used to it and (hopefully) love it in time.

What I wanted to emphasize, though, is that the game you loved is still there. There are still people out there exploring, doing WvW and PvP and Fractals…and we have new Fractals to look forward to. And SAB is coming back soon! I still spend a lot of my time exploring, which is my favorite thing to do. And leveling alts. The game is there and I hope you can get back into the “swing of things” and love it again.

Oh, I’m in total agreement here! The log-in screen had me drooling about the game for months. It was perfect.

I’m pretty sure I’ve heard a dev mention those items; quite frankly they’d be stupid not to include them in the sale because I believe they are their best selling items to date. I’d be very surprised if they did not.

I am just guessing on this but I think they only take confusion damage when switching makes something else happen, for example, when I switch to fire attunement on my ele sometimes I will do fire damage to nearby mobs.

This has happened to me too; I won’t deny that it is a real bug. I think there are 44 possible balloon towers, however, so unless you are very unlucky you should still be able to get the achievement (which requires 30). If you have encountered more than 14 bugged towers I don’t know how to help.

I don’t know for sure but they do usually put a notice in the gem store before they remove an item—a week or two before it disappears. Just keep an eye on it.

Poledo, after you have logged into each of your characters one time, your gold should be combined. Before you log in with them, each character still has their individual gold. That may be causing your confusion.

Lakland, that one didn’t check off for me until I clicked on the “You have received a laurel!” bubble that kept popping up. Maybe they thought I hadn’t read it until I clicked on it. I don’t know. Hope that works for you.

If you have a rejuvenation booster (the kind you sometimes get at random from completing your daily, the kind that comes out of the black lion chests) it will make him a lot easier, without having to use the Box o’ Fun trick.

For the final achievement, just log in and interact with one of the bonfires (there’s one at the refugee camp at Lion’s Arch). You don’t have to miss it.

No low level karma vendors sell full sets of gear. Each one only sells one item or two. For a list of the karma vendors in any given area check the wiki or Dulfy.

I would guess so. But you don’t have to delete your characters first…you could delete them after.

Are you talking about Fused Weapon Ticket? I’m not sure but I think a lot of the Flame and Frost stuff ends on the 12th so I’d use it before then just to be safe…

Supposedly you get more jewels and such when using the special tools…however, I haven’t noticed much of a difference. Also, these tools will NOT all harvest the higher level nodes and you’ll end up with ruined ore chunks etc. if you try. It depends on their “use at” level.

My friend just bought the game, and was thinking of making an Asuran Engineer…but I think I read somewhere that they can’t see as well for bomb or turret placement or something. I don’t have an engineer myself so I can’t say. Any advice? Thanks!
