I would think that the developers would be able to run some sort of diff on their data base to identify accounts that have the title and have not linked their accounts and roll those back or at least remove the title and AP. In line with that they should also be able to run a script that would pull all accounts that are linked that have the achievement in GW2 but not in GW1 and roll them back as well. I think that would be the most amicable solution.

hi thanks for the reply i think that’s one possibility but I also think that the original idea of a commander tag was to organize people and that the current implementation doesn’t achieve that for a number of reasons in fact i think it achieves the exact opposite, that is to say that the current implementation actually confuses people because the map marker, originally intended to be a functional indicator of where a commander was – with some in-game functionality and contextually assumed authority – in terms of the map and because most of the relevant maps (WvW borderlands, the main WvW maps, and now Edge of the Mists) are based on geography as a function of player movement speed – note how waypoints are restricted not only inherently but also as a function of upgrades and being under siege – that location was one of the singular most important advantages with regard to organization hence my assessment that the purpose and thus advantage of the commander tag was some inherent functionality whereas the realized use of the commander tag in the current meta is that of a vanity item because the tag itself appears not only on the minimap with the person’s name but also in the rendered game-world as a separate icon and that the old price of 100g quickly became irrelevant as inflation -mostly due to an individual player’s ability to amass gold through better gear and strategies that mitigated the main constraint of time as well as the second constraint of ‘difficulty’ – of which there is little in GW2 – allowed players to amass gold at a much higher rate than was likely orginally intended, although that doesn’t alleviate the problem that the game designers had intended to use the scarcity of gold – i.e. a high price – to ‘balance’ or somehow regulate the appearance of commander tags outside of their original purpose which is admittedly a common mistake, for example the EVE: Online designers had originally intended the ‘Titan’ class ships to be so expensive that an individual player would never be able to afford one and that the purchase, manufacture, and protection of such a vessel would be relegated to only the largest and most powerful of alliances, an assumption that would be thwarted by the increasing ability of individual players to amass ISK (the in-game currency) either by traditional means, the leverage of existing wealth (owing itself partially to the game’s persistence despite being ‘old’ by MMO standards) or by illicit means such as botting, all of which would render the initial notion that a ‘Titan’ would be scarce – a theory that would prove to be fatal as the aforementioned factors lead to multiple hundreds of the ships being produced to the end that they would themselves have their core functionality changed although i suppose that i’ve wandered somewhat off-track by talking about another game but the main idea that I was trying to get across was that you can’t use scarcity as a balancing factor at least not in the long run because as players develop new and more efficient ways of amassing whatever scarce resource is limiting the realization of the item in question the power of scarcity as a balancing factor is decreased.

Berserker. The ferocity change hurt Assassin more than Berserker.
PU builds, short for ‘Prismatic Understanding’, are really easy because they have a huge margin for error due to their emphasis on defensive boons and stealth. You can’t do much with it aside from annoy people, but it is much more survivable. Nobody good plays it though, so once you get comfortable with the s/tPvP mechanics you’ll want to switch to a shatter build.

Good question. It might be Anet’s intention that these would be events for guilds to do. I suppose people will have to re-learn the art of coordinating if they want to do these rather than looking at a website and showing up to kill the bosses.
My best bet is that a lot of pve-s are still running in the soloq so don’t get your hopes up.
This is pretty accurate. sPvP is really popular with people who aren’t used to the game mode. You can do a lot just by playing the mechanic well because so many players aren’t used to the scoring system.

I can’t log into 2 of my characters. Both of them are in Heart of the Mists, although 2 other people having this problem can’t log into their characters in Gendarran Fields. The rest of my characters are fine.

I vaguely remember it being mentioned recently, but I don’t remember if it was with regard to a fix or not.
At this point you’re probably better off waiting for the next patch with the new traits. Berserker is getting nerfed, and while it will still be the highest direct-damage for PvE, there might be other PvP builds that become dominant but use a different set.
Stockpiling the materials and waiting until the patch is the safest route, imo.

Best setup is longbow and bear with all signets. Burst rotation is 12345 on LB.

Splitting every kit ability between spvp/pve would effectively double the number of skills that they need to test and balance for engi. I can’t see them spending the time needed to do that just for PvE. It would be nice if they did, but I just can’t see it.
Edit: the same problems exist for other classes too with phantasms/pets/etc. Just another downside to the gear treadmill.

I have a couple focii that I use. One is full zerker, one is 2/3 partial zerker and 1/3 full zerker, and the last is 1/4 zerker, 1/4 celly, and 1/2 soldy. Hope this helps.
