A lot of you complaints are what bring people to the game.
Uh…how slow do people think Necro GS is going to be…they just said slower than guardian and warrior, that could mean absolutely anything. It will probably be no slower than a hammer.
Also any players worth their queue spot would know to support their Reaper with stab it is an issue…thats why you play on teams. We already know Revs are going to poop out stab. People have no problem understanding the concept in WvW/GvGs. Remember when all guards weren’t medi?
Chrono + Reaper should be a good pair, and who cares if Chronos (speculation) will be able to lockdown Reapers, its called counters.
Its pretty clkitten to do it and I’m sure Anet would suspend for it if it was easily detected. Huge difference between placing your turret in a clever spot with the trait and placing your turret in thin air.
Turret engis are the ticket to Top 500 like power rangers are OP. Both are not.
Its not exactly out of malice since skins were said across your account (Main → beta). Of course players would try to do the reverse. I’m sure Anet appreciates the bug being exposed as well since it could have been worse down the line.
Is it really a big deal that they can wear the skin early except that you don’t have it? And if you then have it then what? You look exactly like the next guy. The skin gives the player a whopping 0% advantage over everyone else. 0.
Realistically speaking, fractals just need something more that you could buy with relics.
Most loot problems within fractals can be fixed by updating the vendors.
Its not uncommon to leave a fractal rune with a handful of rares, and exotic or two, a few cores/lodestones. RNG permitted you can make 2-5 gold from loot drops alone (using BL salvage kits on any of those account bound exotics you get). Completion rewards lead much to be desired though. Ascended chest are cool I guess and have pretty fair drop rates. Fractal skins are still pretty nonexistence, which is sad because I remember them dropping a lot more before they introduced the wardrobe. Fractal currency is pretty much useless to those who have grinded to 50 and the gold reward for finishing doesn’t come close to even undesirable explorable dungeon paths.
What are you talking about? The stress test was in now way a full “beta experience”. Its a stress test of the area thats been used in the demo. From datamined information alone we already know thats a ton of content outside of the demo.
What do you expect from a demo and a stress test, a full live preview of the end product?
I’m wondering how some people functioned on the frontline before the change if the new stab is a deal breaker. Did you really just into the opposing train without worrying about evading damage and CC because of your stab? If so then the old stab needed to go because it encouraged bad habits.
Stab didn’t go anywhere, you actually have to be away of what’s going on around you now. Your shouldn’t be running blindingly into CCs in the first place. If anything you eat CC so your backline/damage can do its thing. Some peo0le act like it was their stab that was changed, not everyone’s.
The groups that adapt and don’t settle with this “pirate meta” (who the hell came up with that) are going to be ones who wipe the floor with zergs.
The “GvG” T2 bandwagon is what broke the matchups. It’s players throwing money at a broken/incomplete system, if I was Anet I would bother fixing it either as long as players a willing to throw money to transfer for whatever the reason of the month is: tournament rewards, GvG, “fights” (the most overused and misused term in the WvW community).
There is no more community or server pride. Just a bunch of fairweathers who are eager to hope on the next bandwagon. Not andII’ll will be alright, both are used to lopsided matchups, the vets of both servers have been throu the 4 T2 servers are the ones who have to be wary of implosion, those are the ones full of fairweathers.
Rangers are fine, leave them alone. They’ve been broke since forever, who cares if they are machine guns now. Just about every viable WvW/PvP before was nerfed or intentionally broken by Anet. LB was kittenty for the longest and Rangers were exiled from all game modes. There were a few builds that Rangers were pigeon holed into playing with other classes still being better options. Now the longbow does what it’s supposed to do in WvW, murder people from long range.
There are plenty of counters to Rangers as Rangers should be able to counter other things, all is working as intended. Reflects, gap closing, blocks, shut a LB Ranger down and force them to flew or reconfigure their strategy. rangers are mobile but their mobility is sort of in the middle of the spectrum, meaning it’s now difficult to gap close on them even if you’re not on very mobile class: andaabove average Ranger can run/kite well though. Also a lot of people are pretty bad at LB even with its damage buff, just look their way and they panic.
Actually feedback during EotM beta was that it was too much in the PvE direction. ANET was proud of their new boss mechanics and didn’t want to change anything. They didn’t realize that people didn’t go to WvW to PvE.
As for the OP: I really don’t understand your complaint. If you want to zerg, go to a high tier server. If you want to roam, go somewhere lower. Some of us actually enjoy large scale fights.
EoTM was never supposed to be “the 5th WvW map”, just like its not now. Its working as intended, more or less. Its “WvW Lite” a place where players can karma train or mess around in while waiting for their queue. Most WvW players rather wait around in LA than hang around the EoTM karma trains but thats their personal preference, EoTM is just to provide them an alternative to sitting around.
Also karma trains were a lot more prevalent in WvW before EoTM, thankfully EoTM gave PVEers a place to run their train instead of the normal borderlands.
When they fix all the population issues in WvW. Make PPT appealing, and make it so that a server can’t collapse overnight, the we can talk about your idea.
Like the other guy said, you would be better off penalizing stacked servers (wherever the bandwagon goes), and we know that is unrealistic too.
Problem is that they is no incentives to stay on servers that have population problems. There needs to be some sort of lucrative incentive to play on those servers or WvW will remain insanely lopsided.
No one knows when the next tournament is but probably October.
Going by the past tournaments you have to complete an x amount of y tournament related achievements to qualify for the reward, how much you’re rewarded depends what place your server ends up in at the end of the tournament. During the first one we got chest with our rewards in them, this last one gave up tickets that we could spend as we please.
The tournament vendors are still up, its a NPC standing in the middle of entrance of various Borderlands. You can tell who he is because all the other NPCs stand off to the side while he is just standing alone in the middle of nowhere.
Bring Orbs back but don’t put that stupid buff on them and patch the exploits (which should have been patched by now…)
Seriously though, capture the flag gameplay. An actually reason to defend and hold a portion of the map besides taking them in the last 4min of a tick. Promoting open field fights.
Should she be in the gem store? No.
But some of the posters here are kitten, just because someone can’t be Liandri doesn’t mean that you have to be a kitten about it. Most probably used one of the handful of gimmick builds floating around anyway.
One tip to the OP is to target her with Ctrl+T. And yes, targeting in this game can be pretty awful.
The Ruins+Bloodlust buff took the place of the orbs but its really not the same. Taking an orb required that you hold a keep and had a group capable of surviving the run from north camp to your keep.
The only really issue the orbs that I could remember had to deal with hacks and how OP the buffs were OP and people hacked tell hell out of the orbs. Maybe someone remembers other issues.
We don’t need have to get new maps, just additions to the current ones like the ruins in the BLs instead of the giant lake that was there. That didn’t take a year to design did it?
Remember orbs, terrible…but I’ll take anything to changes WVW up a little bit. Give the orbs PVE buffs instead of WVW buffs, I honestly don’t care. Orbs at least gave people a reason to defend.
Spy Trap – A trap that would reveal the location of an enemy on the map for x amount of time
Anti-siege – cripples, destroys, or delays siege placement
Fatigue trap – Drains an enemies energy. Similar traps could cause enemies to run at half speed or something
Spring trap – Theses knockback/move an enemy a considerable distance. Kind of like a spring pad in a cartoon.
Decoy trap – A trap that makes the enemy see fake players on the map. Springing the trap would cause the player to see a fake zerg chasing them.
Why ask for an artificial penalty when there is already a real life one, time. The greatest penalty is always, time spent recovering from a death. Pretty much any death penalty on top of that just amplifies the time penalty for no real reason.
I would have made howler were it not for the fact that the only 2 classes on which I would actively use it are Norn.
Explanation: any offhand will disappear inside the Norn’n left knee. This has been the case since launch. Reported many times in all the designated places. Two years later: nothing.
It must be your armor because I have no clipping issues at all with Howler on my Norn. Now compare that to Asura where you can’t even see the wolf effect.
The only changes I would like to see is some polish. The wolf that pops out looks dated, and the super adventure box warhorn has a more distinct sound.
There is end game content, you just want raids…
Anet doesn’t run TS3/Mumble/Vent/etc used by players and spies, how would they stop that type of spying?
Spying is an accepted part of the game, imo.
Its all up to what HoD wants to do.
WVW politics should no longer impact pve because of the megaserver. If a large WVW guild left your server and you only PVE then you probably wouldn’t notice much.
Eotm is a playground for pvers that wanna feel like theyre part of wvw. There is no defending, its just a karma train going from champ to champ.
This is exactly what EOTM is, a playground for PVE players. You occasionally see a WVW player go in there for badges or to level but almost no one who spends a decent amount of time on the borderlands pays any attention to EOTM.
There are no fights in EOTM except by mistake, its all ktrain. The 3 zergs on map go out of their way to avoid one another. Some people get mad if you fight or cap something out of rotation because it screws with their train. I just avoid EOTM, nothing there for me. Fights in EOTM are cake even for people who just WVW on reset night.
Who else decides who wins other than the players?
Strategic gameplay is 100%, that includes forming alliances to take down a common opponent. And remember at the end of it all the two that formed an alliance have to decide who gets to take 1st so someone is going to screw over the other.
I also find it funny when tier 1 servers complain about double teaming when they have bought and destroyed WVW communities from the lower tiers.

I’ve been running variations of 0/0/6/2/6 since I don’t when. Like I said, variations of it, some nights might require me to change things around but that is generally what works.. The traits to pick aren’t hard to figure out.
Weapons are Hammer or GS/any combo of Sword or Axe + Warhorn/Shield.. Usually Hammer/Sword+warhorn. Plenty of CC, mobility, and power with access to vigor and a blast finisher (AOE weakness isn’t bad).
You probably want PVT gear and Melandru/Doly runes until you get used to the front line. Melandru’s are really nice because of the -Condi duration.
As you get more used to the frontline, you can start switching weapons and trinkets out for knights/zerkers. Not sure about dropping PVT armor in a random zerg though, you could in a zerg buster group though because you’ll have a dedicated group composition with guardians and plenty of water to help keep you alive.
Press Y.
If it says ‘Open World Content (…)’ it’s a megaserver. If in place of ‘…’ your world name is there, it’s not a megaserver.
Not ALL maps are megaservered. Bloodtide, Sparkfly and Frostgorge for instance are not.
Those zones are (…) now. I was wondering if they changed the LFG menu if everything is on the MS now.
Good loot shows up in the form of chest, you would know if you missed out on an exotic or rare.
In WVW all you have to do is turn on AOE loot and bind it to some key, you’ll autoloot any thing with the 900 range.at the click of a button, no further interaction necessary. You don’t need to stop, you don’t need to face it, you don’t have to stop killing stuff. Just hit the button.
Do you really need any more convenience than that? The could maybe add the ability to loot while dead, but there is no need to make stuff just magically jump into your bag without any input from the player.
Prices always fluctuate when there is an upcoming patch. Prices will normalize in due time.
Its bullkitten that you cant play wvw when you transfer. I cant even enjoy the game because im ALWAYS outnumbered. When i change server i can at least have some fun, but they take that away to now ? I dont give a kitten about the rewards, just take them, even keep your stupid WXP when i tansfer, i just want to have fun. People always talking about server pride. Well what the hell happended to gaming pride???? If your always outnumbered the game sucks, and you wanna switch worlds. Its that simple. All people complaining about pride, would do the same thing if it happened to them. LET ME PLAY THE GAME I PAID FOR !
Well it sounds like you just want to fight people. You realize that you’re not locked out of sPVP and EOTM right? Otherwise the borderland lockouts are justified for reasons already explained.
Who would want to use Arena.Nets Engine anyway? We hear about her limitations all the time. It may have been good five years ago, but nowadays it is one of the main problems holding the game back.
Exactly. Anet has admitted to the numerous limitations of their engine. The upcoming feature patch is a result of them tweaking things. Even if they wanted to license their engine it probably wouldn’t be ready.
The GVG community primarily takes care of itself which is why Anet focuses on other things. They are away of GVG, they do actually play in WVW if anything.. Its just not a top priority since the community has done a decent job maintaining the GVG. Think about it. its not even an official part of the game yet it plays such a large role within the WVW community.
A college degree doesn’t mean that you know your profession but it increases the likely hood that you do when there isn’t much to go off of. Thats the idea behind AP requirements. Do I agree with them, no. Thats not to say that they aren’t completly baselesss metrics though.
Bilbo, need I remind you that it only takes 3 players to CC somebody to death, and not everybody has a large amount of stun breakers or condi removal? Also I heard they’re nerfing condi duration reduction food/armor stats.
You’re saying that you shouldn’t lose a 3v1?
Or the multiple bulletins and warnings they put up.
Thanks everyone for ur inputs etc. but im js fact of the matter is I wanna play I like playing and I spend money to play. idk why most of u are getting heated im rejoining my old fielding guild to help them up a bit nothing big JUST WANNA PLAY like the rest of you!
I don’t people are saying that you shouldn’t be allowed to play but there are 2 issues here:
1. Anet has informed us of the penalty well in advance
2. There was a problem with people server hoping, especially during the previous season. Half of the systems they put in place this season are a result of unrestricted server hoping from last season: free transfers, lockouts, you end of season reward not being locked to the server you were on at the beginning of the season, etc.
You know unrestrictive transfers were becoming a huge issue when Anet was willing to forgo gem money to put a system in place that adds a penalty to transferring.
This has been beaten to death. It was in an article AND when you go to transfer, it asks if you are sure that you want to and explains the penalty. You literally have to click the button to say “Yes, I know the penalty.” How much more clear can it be?
Don’t forget the news page that you have to bypass to play the game.
Eveeryone just open disputs and chargebacks with arena net for your gem purchases, and they’ll learn from their mistakes.
Or they just ban you?
The lockout was announced a long time ago. You have to bypass the news page to log in. If you know how to get on the forums then you know how to read the online news page.
And why transfer for PVE when you have 2 guest passes? Even Anet knows transferring for PVE is useless which is why they are implementing the megaserver.
Why are people putting more gold into the MF than what precusors are worth…
I assuming you would actually have to equip Eternity to get the Twilight and Sunrise skins, therefore you wouldn’t be able to sell it afterwards.
I was wondering if ANet could keep randomly change boss schedules or in some other forms.
So that people like me who plays only a part of the day can experience other bosses.
I don’t want to fight the same Golem, Svanir, Claw over and over again.
It would be cool if they periodically rotated the boss schedule. Example, for one week FIre Elemental spawns at 8pm and the next week Shadow Behemoth spawns at 8pm instead.
I can’t give you a build right now but drop longbow for sword+warhorn or GS. If you’re in a zerg there are plenty of others who can range a lot better than you. You job is to sit on the frontlines.
Sword+warhorn is used a lot because of its mobility and blast finisher. Spamming your #2 will keep you from falling behind if you can keep up – make sure you turn off auto targeting. Use your #5 to blash fields. Its a semi-reliable blast finisher, it also grants vigor/weakness which I wouldn’t just write off in zerg combat – especially vigor.
GS gives you a lot of personal mobility via your 3 and 5 skills. Its also good at tagging people in zergs. Again, turn off auto targeting for your movement abilities or you’ll end up losing control of where your player goes. Its very to remain on the front lines with GS.
Now that you have to pay to spawn extra mega-bosses, I’d expect griefing to become more prevalent because the stakes are higher — the griefers not only get the satisfaction of griefing your kill, but also cause you to waste influence (or whatever it costs to spawn a boss).
It’s going to get ugly.
Eh…maybe when the system first rolls out but even then it will be uncommon. How many people do you see trolling guild missions?
I think it would be more satisfying for people to troll the current setup then the new one. The current one requires very sensitive time investments for a lot of people, if there Teq run fails then they have to mix out until the next day. And thats on top of them spending the 30-45 mins just hanging out in Spark Fly doing nothing when they could have been doing something else and probably having to burn a guest pass (depending on the raid time).
New system means a guild can just trigger a map then spawn whenever they want as long as its in between the normal spawn times. Harder to grief unless you know exactly what the guild is going to be doing (and then youre probably a guild member which means you’re going to get kicked).
You could go into dungeons. Perhaps focus on dungeons with less actually enemies that can be crit like AC or ones where pugs tend to lie and wear PVT because they die a lot – TA. You can also do low level fractals, this will help you get zerker rings. You want zerker in upper levels because you’re doing to die in a couple of hits regardless of what you’re wearing anyway so might as well go dps without even changing your armor.
Start with a set of zerker weapons, then armor/trinkets/rings/etc.
TBH, most PUGs won’t notice the difference unless everything is wearing PVT. Most PUGs aren’t fully zerker and running optimal builds to tell the difference.

I think Anet is trying to remove the need of TTS for Teq runs on low pop servers. They don’t want half the game to have to rely on one organization for the numbers to get Teq/Karka done – Wurm excluded because it takes a little bit more effort at this point.
Anet has also stated that the rollout of the megaserver and finer details such as spawn times are subject to change. They are taking things slow and watching how people reach so that they can adjust accordingly.
I also know that TTS only does the bosses that require numbers/coordination so they don’t have the upgrades to spawn the bosses on their own but what about the other guilds that TTS members are apart of? Surely TTS is made up of members from guilds that won’t have a problem building the upgrades to spawn Teq. Why not just ask guilds to donate their spawns?
If we have to convince you then you don’t deserve to play an Asura!
