Hi AngryJoe, I love your show! I have one main question in that what new Legendaries are in store for us? (even just one would make me happy!) The reason I ask is that I am still in the process of making a legendary and would be elated to see what new/quirky things they come up next. Also, when is the Super Adventure Box coming back? Thank you very much!
I like the way it is now. The other legendaries leaving such long prints look like they are dropping bird droppings or poo on the floor. The kudzu looks like it drops vomit on the floor.
I have the same issue as everyone else. The cultivated seed got exchanged into a pet seed. I have everything done and all I need is the cultivated seed! I made my mysterious vine a week ago.

You can add me to that cursed accounts list. Head start and everything with way too many hours played. I am lucky if I get an exotic drop at all in a month. It takes me like 40 tries on the mystic forge to get an exotic of any kind. No drops beyond greens and maybe a rare if I’m lucky in farming sessions of 2 hours+. Guildies continuously get exotics or precursors and they started 2 months after head start. With over 4k hours played, I don’t think it’s crazy to say that this account is indeed cursed.

I don’t think that the achievements are that difficult or tedious to get. I just got it earlier today and got it by playing WvW like I always do. I got it on a losing server in Silver (Ebay) where Yak’s is pummeling us and it really wasn’t all that difficult to get. The only one that I would change would be the mercenary camp.
I’ve had a disconnect on Trib mode at the trampoline on W2Z2 and a disconnect at the storm wizard boss on W2Z3. I do wish there was a save feature or the length to be considerably shorter.
I am an awful jumper/average on a good day. It takes me an hour and 30 minutes on Trib mode W2Z2 and close to 2+ hours W2Z3. The entire Trib mode for World 1 takes me an hour. I do hope the next world is somewhat shorter just to allow us not to devote so much time in one sitting to do it. I love SAB and all, but yeah, having a life and proper balance would be nice.
I love how people mention games that I thought were super easy for the NES. Try playing Ninja Kid. It makes any boat scene in Battle toads look like the easiest thing ever. Once you get past like the first 5 to 10 levels it goes soooo fast. It was literally the hardest NES action game I played and it made everything else look easy in comparison. Ninja Gaiden/Contra/Bionic Commando has nothing on Ninja Kid’s difficulty.
I don’t feel the same way as you at all. I like that content outside of the “real” game is there for us in SAB. It allows us a break from The Living Story grind fest that its become. The backstory of Scarlett was essentially non-existent in game and only made sense when they released that web story, which I enjoyed, but should have really been in game.
In terms of why I want SAB to keep progressing is that it allows for a break of the typical let’s visit event, hit button 1 and a couple of skills, go to next champ/event chain and get reward. SAB provides a different set of challenge and sometimes mind numbing events that the main Living Story has at times. SAB is actually challenging content.
I also love SAB because it feels whimsical, nostalgic, and a great tribute to video games that came before Guild Wars 2. I am personally looking forward to the madness of World 3.
When the bugs got fixed (mainly tribulation mode world 2 zone 2 spike trap upon death check point and clouds working), I am now revisiting tribulation mode world 2 with more gusto.
Thanks Josh and team for your hard work. Now that the major bugs of SAB are mostly fixed, the content is much more enjoyable.

I’ve been racking up my death count thanks to SAB tribulation mode as well. I went from 750 odd deaths over 2k hours to over 3100. Ninety Nine percent of these new deaths (2350 deaths) were thanks to Tribulation mode. W2Z2 was the largest culprit and W2Z3 was the next largest death tally. I figure that I’ll rack up another 2k+deaths by the time Super Adventure Box is done.
I loved everything except Trib mode W2 Zone 2. This was so long and the cheap traps made this very unenjoyable and tedious. It could do without all the cheap traps everywhere. It was way too much overkill on the traps given the length of the zone.
I absolutely hated the next to the last zone with the respawn on death to spike trap. That needs fixing. If you have latency issues like I did, the trampolines to the pillars was absurd. It was literally praying that my character landed on the pillar instead of clipping the edge or having really bad lag jump fails. I hated this zone so much. I still do. It’s the biggest reason I don’t do trib mode W2 anymore. It was more an exercise of just pounding my head enough times against the wall until it broke mechanism rather than a fun exercise of learning what to do like all the other trib zones.
I enjoyed W2 Zone 3. This was difficult but it didn’t feel cheap like the previous zone.
Thanks for SAB, I hope the next world they make it as challenging as W2Z3 but don’t go overkill on the traps like W2Z2.
My guild mate and I just finished World 1 Zone 1 for SAB Tribulation and it took 5 hours of sheer trial and error. You guys are definitely out of this world. The feeling of completion was like having a party! FIVE hours of craziness.
Two more Zones for just this skin is o_O.

You should try tribulation mode. It is CRAZY. My guildie and I are at Word 1, Zone 1 (B), and almost at checkpoint C. They weren’t kidding when they said they want you to take the longest path. Lets put it this way, we went from over, to underground, to overground and are still not at the end. It took us close to an hour to solve just this check point area through trial and error. It is INSANE lol. There’s even a hilarious balloon.
can you at least give the the top 3 servers of the group “vaseline finishers” so when they molest us without our consent, it doesnt hurt so bad?
This made me laugh so hard. +1 all around and an extra tube of lube for the both of us when all is said and done.
There are a lot of OCD perfectionists out there who want to have everything. But, there are some in the F&F dye set that make certain armors stand out more with detail. The dyes are: Pyre, Deep Glacial Sky, Molten, Charred, and Flame. The others do stand out, but nowhere near the ones mentioned, hence their much more expensive price.
I am very very excited for Tuesday. Three words. Super Adventure Box!

I’m with the rest of you guys. I have HORRID luck. My character turned one year today and I rarely get any exotics, if at all. The mystic toilet is my biggest enemy and the hours I’ve played are crazy. I’m actually quite embarrassed to even state the total hours I’ve played. But needless to say, RNG most definitely hates me. For most people, it takes them the first 250 boxes or so to get a ticket. It takes me in the thousand/s to get a ticket if at all.
I still enjoy the game and a lot of the aspects it has, but RNG is my biggest nemesis. I threw in close to 20gs today in the mystic forge and got nothing worthwhile back. I tried my friend’s suggestion of 3 exotics and a mystic stone (He has gotten 5, yes 5 precursors this way). Three exotic staves and a mystic stone later, with myself closing my eyes hoping for something worthwhile, I end up getting a 98 silver torch back. I was so mad.
Maybe in the future mystic forge, maybe in the very near future I hope. Here’s hoping to our luck improving. May the RNG deity be in our midst soon.
The one that hurts the most is the WvW character progression. The Guard buffs of 250 vit and 100 power/condition damage is quite a big advantage given a player of equal skill and equipment. I know a ton of people who used to enjoy playing different characters for WvW, but are now pigeon holed to one character strictly due to the aforementioned buffs. Those buffs are not miniscule at all.
I run a ton of dungeons and don’t really have a problem with it. I do miss the token gathering on multiple characters, but I can live with it.
I also am tired of these DPS races as well. The game keeps encouraging one build and one build only. It is not fun nor does it encourage players from playing anything other than a pure DPS build. I loved the Aetherblade dungeon, I loved Molten Facility, but this event, I hated. I completed it, but I had to resort to the pure DPS mechanic yet again, which 90%+ of the PvE content encourages.
Molten Facility was excellent because of the uniqueness of the bosses and required teamwork, not just DPS.
Aetherblade actually promoted other builds other than zerker, but even one of the achievements was totally tied into pure DPS parties to obtain it in the non cheese manner.
Can we please have challenges that allow for other builds to shine? Thanks.
I love your Kevlar story. I am sure many of us who have had PuG groups and have had crazy PuG stories. I’ve had a few on FoTM which mostly turned out well when we stopped reviving Kevlar players until they learned to listen or outright booted them for trolling.
It’s pretty easy to tell who is trolling and who isn’t. I think your Kevlar may have been the former.
It seems nowadays, that there are more people trying to sneak in high level fractals while having no AR.
I know Aetherblade has its fair share of annoying as hell players who don’t listen. We had one claiming he was experienced and that we should start killing Horrik first. We called him out on his inexperience and that Mai would revive Horrik everytime and replenishing her shields. The dude insisted he was right and tried to prove us wrong. Once he killed Horrik and saw we were telling the truth, he promptly left. We then four manned the rest and finished the dungeon with no problems.
They should NOT nerf this dungeon. It’s fine the way it is. It punishes Berserker builds who don’t know how to dodge, interrupt, do not know to equip invincibilities/cleansers. This makes them learn other game mechanics besides spamming 1, 2 and 3. Please keep it the same. It also forces players to try different things.
o.O what world do you live in? zerker builds depend entirely on dodging/reflecting/etc….
Have you seen most of the zerkers? So many of them do not even know the concept of dodging. Its ridiculous.
Then you have some really really dumb friends… the rest of us are over here timing our dodges to boss animations making toughness/vitality pointless stats…
I didn’t say these were my friends lol. Way to NOT read. Go and PuG and see how CoF P1 has decreased the overall general skill level of PvE players whom all pretty much wear zerker gear. Take a look at all the people QQing in Lions Arch and what they are wearing and wanting a nerf to the dungeon. Care to guess what armor they are wearing? Now that they have a dungeon they can’t do easily, they want a nerf.
All I’m advocating is that this dungeon NOT get nerfed as it teaches newer/unskilled players how to play rather than just afk auto attacking like a robot. This dungeon is fine the way it is. Good job devs, it’s great.

That was an epic holdout against FA at Ogrewatch by Kaineng being that outmanned. This is the first time in a long time that I’ve seen our newer WvWers man siege, use siege at keep, and proper trebbing/ac/ballista mechanics all to protect what little we do have. Max Bruckner you did an awesome job as did you PrinceXII. I hope Kaineng keeps growing as it rebuilds.
I have the same problem. I completed both 20/20 and none of the dragonball achievements are registering. Sad =/
Thank you very much HoD for that wonderful fight in your borderlands. That was one of the best fights I’ve ever been in. I’ve never seen so many siege and the way everyone fought from both Kaineng and HoD was EPIC. You guys are great. Please keep bringing that fight.

Zero. I don’t have the heart to recommend the game with this current patch and the Ascension debacle. Who knows what direction they will take this game.
It’s a beautiful game, no doubt. You can see the vision they had in the beginning, but unfortunately, that dream is being turned into a nightmare. The spirit of what made many people purchase the game is gone with the Ascended items.
I hate this patch even without experiencing the new events. My achievements went down by nearly 800 points. The ascended item fiasco – which should be reconsidered or not introduced based on the huge backlash by players. Nerfs to classes that need buffs the most – Engineers and rangers. Buffs to classes that don’t need it – Warriors.
I wish they did not implement the Ascended gear at all. This would be the first time I would disapprove of anything they have done so far. It would make crafting for armors worthless if it is only obtained through dungeon runs and it would disrupt balance in WvW. Most people would grind for the armor and the population of WvW would plummet.
Please do not cause this divide.
Yes!!! This is single handedly the best game I’ve ever played in such a long time! It is amazing!! If there is an accolade greater than 10/10, this game deserves it.

This happens to a lot of the match ups where Red and Blue do not work together and are content to just let green stomp them over and over.
With BP’s fight against Northern Shiverpeaks and Anvil Rock, Anvil Rock would consistently attack us instead of Northern Shiverpeaks. If not, they would go out of their way to weaken our forces, only to allow Northern Shiverpeaks to take over their work and trounce us after. It didn’t make any sense.
I love using Elixir gun in WvW. I usually run in and plop down an acid pile of poo on the ground that does great damage and keeps me out of harms way most of the time. It’s hilarious seeing members of zergs run when they see it or feel its damage. Great crowd control.
Thieves hate the pile of acid poo too.
Skill 5 works wonders in keeping team members in the fighting lines.
It’s a shame many people don’t use it.

We didn’t need to and why someone did it, I have no clue. It ruins our reputation and all sides have been playing fairly up until that point.
I hope whoever did it gets punished. It was absolutely ridiculous. I’m still mad that someone on BP did this. I hope they remove Orbs and the bonuses until it gets fixed. If they do want the orbs in place, just make it something lame like +10% Magic find until they fix the orbs and all this hacking.

Please disable the orbs until there is a fix since there is rampant orb hacking going in. It’s terrible and absolutely ruins the WvW experience.
I’m not quite sure on the nerf as well. The CD on the mine tool belt skills were long and not many people used it/knew how to use it. The other problem is dungeon runs.
I find myself, outside of guild runs, not being in very much demand in dungeon runs as groups want guardians/warriors/archers. It sucks feeling like a 3rd wheel or in this case, the 7th wheel.
This class needs some love – particularly on sigils not transferring to our kits as this severely hampens our potential both from DPS and heal/conditions. There is also that very annoying thing of having to control click skill #1 for our kits every time we switch to them.
So far in dungeon runs the pecking order is 1) Guardians
2) Warriors
3) Archers
4) Mesmers
5) Elementalist
6) Thieves
7 & 8 (Interchangeable) Necros and Engineers
The only thing we really shine at in parties is our combo field abilities and I hope this mine nerf doesn’t follow a trend of them removing our utility in group settings. It’s quite upsetting.
