What did you do in WvW?

Just seen the forum where they were fixing a issue with the disablers so they were…disabled

Story time: We were against 2 big zergs 40+ on the same server hitting EB keep and Garrison at the same time. I was only real tag atm with about 20+. I was asking for them stall in EB while we defended them in Garri. When I found out about the disabler change.
Thought hey I guess thats nice cuz i hate disablers, butttt i reeaally need them right nowwww! lolz.

So Idea is, if your outmanned on the map. you should be able to disable the siege.

Being on the west coast, i like the reset time. it fits perfectly. But at the same time it hurts the east coast players. If an east coast guild raids for 3 hours they’ll be staying up till 1 am. It wont matter to me if they change the times back the way they were. I still get my fix
in the end.

I actually lost half my group trying to get out of a bomb on those stairs. My commands in voice chat included jumping afterwards lol.

Can we get an upgrade in the guild hall for test dummies, like the golems in the PvP lobby? It would just be convenient to gather up in the guild hall to test builds and have walk throughs there, instead of having to get everyone in PvP.

Not so much anymore, I dont have xpack yet and been having a hard time holding off against dragonhunters on point, and then whatever the hell rev does is always a challenge.. guess i have to pay an extra $60 to keep up. P2W?

I almost wish someone super duper smart could just mod this game mode, let whoever wants to play create a character insta 80 and pick free builds. Jump in to WvW and just play the game.. Remove Pvgate, Siege should have friendly fire so we have no more point blank catapults and trebs.. Remove golems or make them even harder to get a hold of, like keep upgrades or something. and nerf or remove disablers. and then fix more problems as it goes on through communicating with the PLAYERS on forums/in game.. or actually PLAYING the game mode for themselves.

I’m going to go with the conspiracy theory aswell.. my server is in T5, and although we lost many guilds and players it still has a “full” server status… WvW is dead most of the time how could we be full? I think theyre trying to kill off servers and we’ll soon be playing for the “Red” “Blue” and “Green” team, like in eotm.

First off now that im maxed out it happens to be when i keep getting kegs of Wxp and Wxp boosters… can we trade ability points in for items like siege or maybe a gear vendor? im sure other people are having this problem aswell and that there’s players who arent so big bout WvW to care about ability points. Just a thought.

server drop means less or bad fights

no fights means no fun
no fun means people dont play

either way means a loss of service to anet. its all about balance.

The day golems we’re disabled was the only day my server was able to keep wp’s in their keeps against the bigger server lol.. I think that says alot… We we’re getting golem rushed like 3 or 4 times a day that week..

i never said anything about avoiding fights.. just maybe fight guilds can fight for an objective more important than the sentries surrounding sm?

Im in a PPT guild.. We run for 3 hours a night. After that we have one more guild that plays for PPT.. everyone else is just… there. What im saying is that there is fights in PPT lots of them. but its frowned upon

One point Phantom makes, which i think is ignored, is that he is fighting against the roamers of the other worlds. Now if he broke off his fights to help the besieged, then it would leave those opposite roamers free to do what they want. By keeping them occupied, i believe he was fulfilling a role in the wvw map.

During NA prime we have 3 to 4 guilds of about 15-20 ppl who sit in Eb waiting for fights. Theres almost always a Que.. And ik what people will say that its my own fault because im in a upper tier.. but ive been with this server thru its up and downs, it wasnt always like this. So they may be distracting the other team with their pointless fighting but no one is capping points around the battle.

but again I still dont see why guilds cant help defend and cap points to bring out the fights. It seems everyone wants to be in a Zerg Busting guild now. Which is great, my guild does it too, but if theres a point. I just feel pugs should have the confidence to call in a zerg busting guild to come save the day and you know….zerg bust. But guilds dont wanta fight with siege or structures in the picture.

Ive been fighting for this server for over 2years now and its starting to upset me that my server no longer plays to win the match up.. Theres a matchup forum website where guilds argue and scold one another for “PPTtryharding”, so now we have many great guilds who dont give a crap about PPT.. Our pugs try to hold what tick and upgraded keeps they have but cant hold off against the enemy zergs.. Now our top guilds sit outside stonemist or each other’s keeps waiting for the enemies to show up for a fight. They dont care that we’re whispering them for help in our borderlands. I just dont understand why they cant cap points, defend and find fights at the same time.

Darkhaven’s WvW players are one big family, We really do work good together as a team.. Currently our guilds carry the server, which isn’t a problem for us atm but it would just give us that extra push if we could get some Pug Commanders to take over the main zerg. Our Guilds do a great job on helping the commander with anything he would need to keep moral and the tick high.

So if you think you can take over DH blob fights or are just wanting to jump on the train then come join us! We need you!

Darkhaven got a dev to come to our server near the top of bronze.. He joined one of our small havoc guilds.. He was really chill.. actually joined us on our server teamspeak and hungout with DH every now and then…Talked to us about upcoming changes or ideas of what the WvW team was planning.. It was really cool

The reason I don’t PvP is because I cant play with my build like I do in WvW.. I think stat mixing is what makes every player different. I like seeing players with a mix of armor other than the cookie cutter builds of Knights/Soldiers/Zerker ect. Its fun using a little bit of this and that, why limit us to pick one?

It sucks when your trying to defend, using siege disablers and Ac’s taking out rams but then they just melt the gate using player vs door! Even with the gate at full HP its not a problem for the zerg to just auto attack it down. A zerg should not be able to take a tower/keep/castle without even using siege Its frustrating and needs to be removed.

The Bevr who stayed, created their own guild….and all they’ve received is our respects. don’t kno why you are thinking we’ve been bashing the ppl who stayed here.. And if a guild leaves the server they started on your going to get negative feedback regardless of what server you left behind. Im just warning the players shopping for guilds what theyre in for. If your interested in a potential server hoping guild join BevR save your gems for when all the DR guilds that transferd get ready to tank the next server b4 tourny.

oh pls, lol… Just disappointing seeing all those map shouts to join the bevr every 10 mins then you guys leaving the next week, trying to drain a server of its players.. whatever atleast i will no longer worry about Dirty and his group trolling my golems :P And ofcourse were going to have a hard time against a server that dropped from silver into our tier.. Its something a server has to overcome and DH always finds a way back on our feet. After all the guilds growing and leaving we always make a come back to the top of bronze. Just as you guys started to grow and look good on Darkhaven you jumped ship and bandwagon to DR.. Hate it when guilds do this to servers.. Goodluck DR when you guys start losing to a tough server, get ready for all your “loyal” guilds to say goodbye.

The sad thing is, everything the OP has said is true, the game is great but the amount the developers care for WvW is sickening.

They do what they can, the only one that can resolve the problem is yourself, you play where you like more.

Not only do we have lack of new content for PvP but we still have the same bug problems we did 2 years ago! weve been complaining about these problems for 2 years! Nothing has changed.. We still get stuck on siege after its built, we still get stuck rezzing someone when we need to run away, Still get stuck on face plants after falling off ledges, Se tower in our BL is still glitched, Ppl are still speed hacking thru gates, this list goes on and on and the devs are doing nothing about it! they dont care! we already handed them our money, so i guess that means they no longer need to improve their game.

I just been exploring so far, got a little too far out of my lvl zone so im lost haha, soo far i dislike the fighting system, it feels like WoW standing in one spot killing wolves and stuff. But i do like how u can build houses, farms, and how everything is interactive.. but i dont think it will stick like gw2, where skill comes into the fighting and you can dodge and run around… I like what Aeolus said, having WvW in a PvE lookin map would b so dope! wish something like that would happen!

Yes thats exactly why were mad! lmao.. we cant beat this server,, were outmanned and we have been for the 7 weeks.. all reset has done for us is paper or keeps and given us 0 supply.. NSP ended up taking our bl within the first 2 ticks of reset.. Our ppl dont wanta fight the losing fight anymore.. Even our core WvWers arent putting up with this any longer.

Nsp has dropped from silver tier down to bronze and since then we have faced them 7 weeks in a row! it hass demoralized our server and we are tired of facing the same team over and over again! I thought matchups were going by a random number matchup, but this is almost 2 months now of the same thing! FIX IT!

So all the classes get buffs except warrior, lets nerf them, like wtf… out of all the things they need to nerf, they decide to nerf adrenaline.. something no one has complained about.

+1 would love to see this happen. I too cant stand lvling. I end up using tons of gold to craft my ways to lvl 80.. its expensive

I also have doubled ascended rings. for now ima put them in the bank. hope some use comes out of em.

Get Xpadder. its only $10 and lets you map any keys to any controller.. really easy to use, and if you dont know a good control scheme you can download other peoples control layout profiles for tons and tons of different games.

I heard about this in L.A. but noticed i didnt get the backpack. i bought one of those redeem code cards of i think 2,500 gems and used most of those gems for xmas gifts for my guildies… Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

I love the advanced darkhaven turtling tactics. The emote spam from the fun guild after sitting in a tower with superiors siege(balliastas and acs!) and more numbers is impressive. Glad you are using your numbers so well!

darkhaven does not condone the actions of [Fun]. there leader is a plight on our lands.

[Fun] has only recently gone WvW. Us doing the /bow emote wasn’t intended as an insult, it was meant to indicate a battle well fought.

If anyone is interested in GvG, we’re more than down.

And yeah, sorry again for [ANBU]. As much as I/my guild has trolled in the past, it’s all been lighthearted. Others.. less so. I hope we can maintain decent relations with you other servers; we need the practice.

Assassin is a good dude, He out there to help the people of Dh, what he said is true.. [Fun] kinda isolates themselves from the rest of the community and trolls our other guilds and insults players that dont join them. Once the members decide to overthrow their leader [Fun] could actually be a “fun” guild to work with on the battlefield. lol

I main a warrior and i have no mobility whatsoever. yet i can run away from a fight no problem. I run Mace/Shield and Hammer All i gotta do is use block then Endure Pain and Dolyak Signet and CC them whenever i can by then i should be inside tower or keep.. I do agree with Rednik that “Mobile build = pathetic damage build.” for warriors and thiefs that is. I know warriors are goin to get a nerf :/ i hope its not too bad, i love my build and hate changing it every month or two.

Yes Please. its frustrating as a commander when half of your zerg gets downed from one hit of the Champion as soon as you get to the lords room. And then fighting other zergs it sucks when they are getting rallies from uplevels and squishies.. I think Squishy builds are for zerg busters who can correspond with a group or staff eles.

I don’t see how this is a QQ thread? im not saying “nerf thieves” Im asking whats the point of having a build that wont kill anyone and is made for running away.

Really? whats the point of perma stealth thieves? Only thing they’re good for is running away.. You cant kill anybody other than uplevels. And when they pretend they want a fight they just end up running. The only thing I say is OP about thieves is being able to stealth kill someone while they are down, other than that its a kitten build.

AR is mad. or just very disrespectful. funny situation when you beat an AR in a 1v1 /bow then get zerged and that AR you killed gets rez then dances on your corps lmao.. Ive been sat on and danced on a lot from AR and im like why so mad? then I look at the score…oh

Im just saying whats true. we aren’t going to rebuild our server overnight. but DH will find itself again and smaller guilds will soon start rising to the challenge. with help of swift Bane has became a popular wvw guild lately and we are getting many new commanders still learning.. This matchup will bring our confidence back up and we’ll find away to get our WvW back on track.

All our other guilds hide in PvE……..Only Abys and SE would tough it out against the hardest of opponents. And they are sick of being the only guilds doing so.

This is the absolute wrong way to try and build server cohesion. The hardcore WvWs are in many guilds, obviously no one can field the same numbers as those two. If you start lumping people together like that kitten you may push more guilds away.
