The best mesmer i know!
Its actually a graphics glitch. The iwarden IS actually on the enemy and the damage numbers arent displaying.
Also the health bar of the enemy isnt going down because its a graphics glitch…
I consider iwarden game-breaking for the mesmer. If it doest work 50% of the time, thats huge.
Chaos Storm was gamebreaking for everyone else.
Same could be said about iwarden. Im a detriment to my group in pve and pvp with my kitten out iwarden.
This i do not understand at all…

This is unacceptable. They keep introducing more bugs without fixing old ones.
From todays patch notes:
“Mesmer Chaos Storm: Fixed a bug that caused this skill to stun enemies whether or not it dazed them when traited with Confounding Suggestions.

Ok, how come you could fix that bug, but not ones that have been around since release?
Example, Mesmer. You are making changes to core abilities, such as deceptive evasion and critical infusion. Changes that without a doubt (especially deceptive evasion), will cause unexpected bugs.
-Focus phantasm is still broken since you decided to change it.
- Illusionionary elasticity STILL SINCE RELEASE does not work on all my clones.
-Phantasmal haste STILL doesn’t work on all phantasms
-The list goes on.
Shouldnt you fix current bugs instead of kittening with the class more and possiblty introducing more bugs?
How come its SOO easy to change a class core mechanic, but SO hard to fix a bug?

Sorry, if you think a Guardian at solo roaming you are mistaken. To be be a good roamer you have to be able to capable of being a duelist.
I challege ANY guardian to beat my mesmer. It doesnt matter how good you are, you simply dont have to tools to beat me. And no im not a PU mesmer.
Also the video above doesnt impress me. I did not see him fight any skilled players, all i saw were uplevels and people not running food (consumables).
I originally mained a guardian, but he is now strictly for zerging/group roaming, and fractal duty.

5 Phantasm mesmers.
brb mass invist, and 10 phantasms coming out of nowhere doing 10 × 7000 (70,000) damage to a target instantly and have that damage is aoe. Rinse repeat.
15 clones + 5 real mesmers out, battle field is gonna be a cluster.
Why is this not fixed yet? Why am i spending 20 points into illusions for a trait that says it reduces the recharge rate by 20% but clearly doesnt on over HALF the phantasms.
It seems like a very easy fix.
Dunno, shatter mesmer doesnt really seem worth it at all. U can drop a what, 10k bomb every 10 seconds? Anyone who spaying attention is just saving up to dodge, evade, etc whatever that.
When u can run a phantasm mesmer up with 3 iswordsmen droping 18k every 4.7 seconds…

A. The 4v4 you lost
B. The 6v4 you won when you came back with more people
C. The 8v6 you won with 2 BP adding to your six. Can’t blame you for that.
D. Ganking people while they were separated from the main group with 10 BP
E. Coming in with 7 and attacking 5 while we were still separated and trying to build stacks. Bonus points for the mass invis and leading with moa out of stealth to burst me down. Really good play there.
Soo, what do you expect us to do? fight you when yer ready and a place of your choice, etc etc? Make sure you have enough players on? We dont like GvG. We like to play in wild dynamic unpredictable fights.
Its not like we are thumping our chests like OMFG we owned you, and e-high fiving eacher. We are well aware of the numbers on each side. Regardless of who had numbers, there was still some good action there.
When i get outnumbered i just pretend its hard mode. I dont get all kitten or feel bad about the loss.
I think we can agree we have talented players on both sides.

Against GOOD thieves, I feel the best weapons are GS S/S
GS mostly for the cripple and some DPS from the izerker. Also the knockback is great for shadow refuge.
Sword for the block and the evasive swordsman.
Against good thieves, Duelest and Warlock are probably the worst. All they are is CnD bait, a good thief will CnD off them all day till they make you mess up, usually make u waste a cooldown with a blind or sumtin.

A person with exotics (easy to get) can easily compete with someone in fully ascended.
If you think you are losing because you are outgeared, time to up your skillz.
I bought the game first came out (whatever the cheapest version was), and i just received a Heroic Chest in the mail.
Its got me a little worried because i did not purchase the heroic edition.
Dunno, i run a 20/20/0/30/0 GS, S/S build. With the option to throw a specced focus on at will.
I ran this build before and there are a few problems
1. A good necro will kitten on you.
2. A good thief will just c/d of pistol clones all day. Eventualy they are gonna catch yer phantasm cast with a blind, then go after you.
3. This build has alot of physical mitigation. The meta is condy.
PU mesmer is only good for solo roaming and dueling.
In a group setting, a shatter or Phantasm w/ shattered conditions brings far more to teh table.
No PU doesnt need to be nerfed. It’s a niche build for trolling.
Why not just have, instead of server vs server, World vs World’s that are independent of what server you rolled on? And during character creation you just have to pick a color: Red, green or blue (with possibilty to change with gems).
So the interface to join WvW would look something like this:
World 1
World 2
World 3
World 4
World 5
World 6 (overflow 1)
World 7 (overflow 2)
You can go to any world to help out your faction
So basically, at the end of each week, All the scores from all worlds would be added up.
Green: 5,334,434
Blue: 4,543,434
Red: 4,454,579
And the winning faction gets some sort of reward or bonus.
And the cost to transfer factions would be base on WvW score and would be limited to, lets say once a month.
High score faction: 800 gems
Med score faction: 0
Low score faction: They pay you 800 gems
If i have 20….ide take 20 mesmers. Think of the chaos.
Ascended is only gonna make a difference in a very close fight. And even then, a dodge at the right time is far mor significant.
I really feel like this game is limited by the engine they used.
They cant:
Have all borderlands as one map
Cant handle large scale battles
Cant have more than a 5 AOE limit.
Options? There is a game coming out soon that. Or hang in till GW3.
Why would an illusion attack a different target if its intended target was invisible?
My understanding was that illusions exclusively attacked their designated target until destroyed, or the target is defeated.
Thats not how they have ever worked. I drop phantasms on thieves, and if they stealth and run off, and there is other enemies in range, they will attack those enemies until teh thief comes back.
Wish Anet could give us some kind okittennowledgement that they are looking into this. It is CLEARLY broken.
And with the current Living Story, not having a reliable warden is horrible for mesmers.
Dunno, i think 30 mesmers could take out 30 of every other class.
It is my fantasy to see it happen, think of the mayhem.
Say you send your clones to shatter on X target.
On the way the target, they get killed. The point at which they get killed, they explode and do their shatter dmg.

If you are using centaur runes, you should run with a cold potion. Free speed (unless they fixed it)
Like whats the scenario we are testing? I mean in a straight up duel, elly vs a mesmer, ide say nerf the mesmer.
But in Zerg warefare, ide say nerf the elly, buff the mesmer.
I run pretty much the same setup. The shattering of illusions is pretty much a “OH kitten” move for me, when you get loaded with condys. As a mesmer its pretty much yer only option outside of nullfield.
They just need to bring a version of Huttball to SPVP
I like travlers. We pretty much use all the stats, and the perma speed is great.

Getting attacked will switch you into combat mode, and combat mode will remove your costume, so it would be useless
hmm yer probly right, deserves testing tho.
Altho i just tested runes of balthazar and runes of tormenting, they apply burning and torment on costume swap whille in combat. Of cours ei didnt have any conditions ticking on me.

U need to be in combat for them to work also…
Use any “On heal gain swiftness” rune set.
Get a costume potion such as “Cold Potion”
toggle in and out of costume and u get the on heal swiftness.

Im not sure if vT really counts as a transfer, we are like a 8 man guild lol. Reason many of us in vT left CD was because the community was horrible. Constant bickering, people were boring as kitten with no personality etc.
Moving to Borlis pass, they really do have a great community. I mean the stuff they do is just plain entertaining.

I personally hate zerging, be these mofos make it entertaining.
So as much as u want to blame their rise on transfers (theve got a few), i do belive they are siphoning PVE players because they seem to know how to keep the morale high.

The answer to this hypothetical question is No, unfortunately. At condi, you can tie an extremely pro thief, but you won’t kill each other.
As power phantasm, if they’re smart (95% of them aren’t) they will take time to reappear and 1-shot your phantasms. You eventually won’t have decoy/blink/other defensives up and they will kill you.
Most thief die easily though, so don’t worry about it too much. I still regard it as balanced enough. They don’t have the opportunity to really do that in group fights. While they’re harassing you, you and your phantasms can still drop amazing damage on their teammates.
This is the exact conclusion i came to with some other mesmer buddies the other night and the exact thing i am experiencing.
Dont me wrong, i dont have trouble with 95% of thieves, and they cant pull that stuff off in group battles. Hence why i still run the build.
Ide rather just take the very small chance ill run into that perfect thief, vs running my slow perplex build.
I think they should get some FAE style wings like from eq2
