With the new daily rewards, people will not be farming cof path 1 multiple times anymore. Stop locking people out of content. There is no reason to have people repeat the same god kitten boring content to enjoy the game. Your incentive to make the daily rewards was to get people to enjoy all dungeons / paths. The majority of the people refuse to keep doing the events to open dungeons thus your goal of getting people to explore all paths is NOT working.

I don’t know what everybody else thinks of this, but this guild invited me for a few CoF runs. The party composition was 3 guardians, an upleveled elementalist and myself, a warrior. I’m not sure what to think.

Considering after we replaced you we completed the dungeon in 6minutes 36 seconds, start to finish, think what you will. Oh and the “elementalist” was actually a Mesmer. Final party make up was Thief, Mesmer and 3 Guardians. The fastest recored time was what? 5:45 I believe.

This, I’m playing thru GW1 again and the story and the way it’s presented is so much better.

And the 3rd is the skill system, I would like to pick and choose my skills for weapons.

I tried playing through again… I Just can’t go back to those bad graphics after having the stunningly magnificent graphics of gw2 + I keep trying to jump/ dodge roll which cannot happen.

1. A lot of temporary content and almost no permanent content is being added.
2. No end game
3. Too easy, no hard mode or challenging fights except AR which is easy now.
4. Too many restrictions about what we can or cannot bring on our bar
5. The fact that I keep hoping this game will be changed but always let down in the end.
6. The messages “We will release a patch in 1 – 2 hours” and it gets released 5 minutes later.
7. Connection errors in the game.
8. That despite the fact the game has so many errors, I can not seem to walk away from it yet and keep saying “Maybe this will be the month Anet changes things”.

How competent are we talking here? Like consistent Berserker DPS, melee all the time, rarely go down competent? Or like flawless executions of Hundred Blades -> one swing -> Whirlwind -> cyclone axe -> auto attack x2 chains or whatever that super l33t DPS cycle is, never die ever, weapons with respective sigils for each dungeon? On that note, is that the sort of stuff expected in Dnt and LoD? Cause that’s kinda… Intimidating

I cannot speak for our peers in DnT but in LOD we do not expect our applicants to have any high level of proficiency at all but ask that you listen, be willing to learn and grow as a player; as well as play the professions we ask you to. While we are still looking for the best players to join our ranks, we are also willing to bring others up to our lowest standards. We are not flawless, we screw up our rotations from time to time, we die occasionally, some of our members are not even fully equipped to our highest standards. There is no reason to be intimidated by us. Yes our runs take <15 minutes to finish but they are extremely casual, people down, we all piglet up, but we keep going, you learn what to do and not to do and most importantly we have fun. Most of us in LOD are not here to only farm, we are here to do whatever Anet has to throw at us in the fastest manner possible and have been doing so for years.

I’m looking for players who are fun and by all means not failures. If you’re not having fun AND completing the dungeon efficiently ( I.E. not knowing what to do and yet running ahead, constantly being down, a general hindrance,) I want nothing to do with you.

If I was NOT having fun doing my dungeon paths in <15 min I would not do them. For some people, doing the dungeons fast with people you know can play the necessary roles effectively WHILE trolling 10 other people in the TS channel, not even talking about the Arah run you are on, and STILL get it done in <15 min; THAT is the MOST fun I could possibly get out of a game and I personally would not have it any other way. While we in LOD do want people to preform at their very best in the very best team setup we can assemble, we remember we are here to have fun in this beautiful game.

Sorry for my rant but I felt it was necessary.

Flame and frost brought a whole new meaning to epic failure. The amass of temporary content is very underwhelming due to it’s lack of challenge and more of a grind. This makes the community scream with rage for wasting our time.

With that said,

Southsun was fantastic. Dragonbash was…not the best but atleast it did not beat Flame and Frost for the epic failure title.
Sky Pirates …………………………………………………………………………………………….freaking awesome. Very good job but I still wish AR (the dungeon) was permanent. Four winds looks promising…. honestly cannot wait.

A passive removal of 2 conditions every 5 seconds is way overpowered.

And that’s not only a significant buff (which means improvement, FYI), but it’d also be the best passive condition removal in the game. Currently, it’s 2 conditions every 10 seconds, you would be halving the amount between the ticks. Considering that most conditions specs run conditions that last longer than 5 seconds, it’d be a pretty heavy hit on those.

As for sacrificing? It’s a freaking Adept trait. Even if it was a Grandmaster trait in some otherwise useless traitline, it would still be way too good.

Guardian is already the tankiest thing in the game, they don’t need to be freaking invulnerable.

The Guardian is not invincible or invulnerable.
How is removing conditions over powered? Losing conditions does not make the guardian more powerful…if anything the Guardian must be specced into the trait to get it. So if, to your point, they DID move it to the Grandmaster…at that point they are 30 into the Toughness tree…and isn’t the point of the toughness tree to be “tough”.
and if in being the “tankiest” class in the game…why bother allowing other classes the ability to out tank it? And yes other classes can be tanky as well…but notice when any class becomes tank they lose out on attack power…so for someone to get the mentioned trait, they must sacrifice power…

But to credit your point, yes it would give the Guardian more “tankiness”.

However I’m sorry, I’m not seeing how it would make the Guardian “Over powered” it would make the class more resilient to condition duration…not burst dps, not the condition damage that is applied. But just the duration.

The Guardian will still be able to die, but not easily to being bombarded with tens of conditions at once.

Let’s look at AC. It was a great dungeon before it was revamped. The revamped version is just not as fun. Ac was revamped and made easier and although the boss fights are more interesting, here is the problem: We (the player base) were not introduced to the revamped version from the start and thus it will always be looked at wistfully as ‘what it was’ . People in general do not like change. If this dungeon was given to us at first, I would LOVE IT instead of just liking it. I LOVE old AC. I do not LOVE the new AC.
Revamping dungeons will be the death of dungeon running and thus killing a MAJOR part of the game, let’s be honest when you log in you either:
A. Level an alt.
B. Do sPvP
C. Do dungeons
D. Do WvWvW

I think it is fairly obvious that the elven thing is against ANets vision for the game. I will say that there is absolutely no way for us to know for sure that ALL dwarves were turned to stone. Its part of the devs teams rights/responsibilities to create exciting plot twists and such. One of these may bring about the return of Dwarves in some way.

I however find it much more likely that they will add the ability to play as one of the races currently in the game that have been displaced by the dragons. Such as the Kodun.

More than one dwarf exists. There is a Durmand Priory member in one of the shiverpeak maps (not sure where, pretty sure it’s not at their HQ) who mentions that a lot of the dwarves were turned to stone but there are a few that have survived. POSSIBLE RACE? I think so.

I wish that this game had more elite dungeon guilds. I’m still trying to find a good one myself.

If you have the patience and skill needed, join Rome. I accept all members (initiate rank) and only the quality ones (by means of playing with) get promoted. The others get kicked. We currently looking to have about 84 more members. All “good guilds” have to start somewhere.

Obviously you didn’t play with every member, like myself but I did notice the same thing, there are quite a few sub par players in the guild. The only invite I ever get is COF p1. Think I got one Coe p1 also. Probably just a mistype

Even the two COF runs I went in were horrible, had to pull the slave driver away from its spawn, then the same guy died both runs on the switch, both times saying well before we got there that he was doing it so its not like he wasn’t ready for it.

Its a shame because there are really good pug players out there like myself that just can’t find a semi-hardcore dungeon guild. They all turn out to be guilds full of COF p1 wannabe dungeon pro’s who think their good.

But maybe over time, for now I stopped replying to the invites. Might get better in the future.

First: people do not respond to invites so I have to pug them. I can’t help getting crappy players because the good ones don’t respond.
Second: The guy who was dying was not in Rome, good job paying attention. Infact it was only me who was with you that was in Rome the first time and the second time another member was there.
Third: I run cof daily along with other dungeons. I even say “daily cof 1”. You should be surprised you get invited to cof 1 daily with the information I give out.
Fourth: You have not played with every member. Imagine that when I choose to do a dungeon and whisper people, no one drops what they are doing and comes hither to. Pretend (only for a second) that people have lives and do other things which cause them to be offline and when they are online they are not sitting in LA waiting for me to whisper them. I know, fairy tales are just too unrealistic.
Fifth: I invited you to a lot more than cof 1 coe 1. Arah, CM, AC, COE, COF, SE were dungeons I whispered you about.

If you’re unhappy leave but don’t try to bash something you did not take advantage of to the fullest potential. Rome was not built in one day and neither will this guild be. Right now we are severely undermanned. I’m trying to fix this (by recruiting) and weed out bad players who show up. Clearly you don’t have the patience to wait as we build up the memberbase which is fine. I wish you well.

Queensdale (low level area for humans). If you’re not a human: Go to LA (through the world vs. World option (hotkey and taking the portal there. Then take a portal from LA to Divinity’s reach and exit to Queensdale (located in the south).

Content that is not hard is just a chore. So true. All the achievements are grindy based not difficulty based. The only thing on the achievements list that is hard to do is the jumping puzzles. Everything else is a boring grind.

Dragons. Stand still and spam = I’m sleeping (basically all meta events)

Dungeons…. easy, set a difficulty with higher rewards for more difficult content (Maybe you should be more like Arenet’s Guild Wars 1 with the “Hard Mode”. Oh right, you ARE Anet, way to stoop to the low end.

What you’re saying is good, how you’re saying it… needs to be worked on. This video was more of a rage and so on that i’d only rate it 2/5. Obviously you’re going to get criticism, deal with it maturely.

I spent 600 dollars on boat I do not use. I get harsh complaints about it all the time. How can you judge my intelligence on what I purchase? I’m sick of society and I’m not the only person who expects the seller to take their boat back and give me back my money.

How to judge intelligence based upon gameplay:
Chatting with them
Looking at what they type
Seeing what stupid decisions they make and then talk about.

I was never one to complain about buffs but from the unofficial release notes, it looks like almost every class is getting a ton of buffs and it’s a little disturbing.

Yes, ArenaNet in the past has nerfed many skills to the point of uselessness. But this patch seems to be going to the opposite extreme of making everything overpowered.

You can say no problem we all needed some buffs, but just remember the monsters will probably be buffed too.

Since I have an 80 of each class I’ll have a lot of new stuff to play with if all these changes are made. Hope they don’t make the game worse in the long run though.

I don’t mind supporting the game, and I have supported the idea of prestigious items being rare/unique. But when I spend $300 for 1 single ticket (I have 11 characters), and I have to choose 1 item, it kinda hurts the wallet and brain. Please just make them 4000 gems and people will buy them, they would much rather do so than spend hundreds on a “chance” to get one. They would still be rare, but at least obtainable through your RNG and the 4000 buyout option.

Not true. A lot of raids were beaten before a new one came out. Especially in a time frame of 4-8 months. Those hardcore guilds would be done with them within the month most of the time.

About the topic though: I am a bit torn. I myself have also had the frustration that I wasn’t there with some content (though that was mostly holiday content and will be back next year is my guess). On the other hand, since I play a lot again, the exhaustion part is true, though still the period is still quite short, even when you play quite a lot. (A week or so?)

Thing that bugs me the most: the content that they add is just far too little. The last part of Flame & Frost was alright, but the months before were, well, pathetic in terms of content. I’d much rather have it all in one go, at least it feels like it’s more, while they do ‘normal’ updating (bugs & improvements) on the way as well.

I have no insight as to how that company operates and the sources they can utilize and money they can put into this game. I am glad it’s F2P monthly and will never go back to a paid MMO, but thus far I haven’t been impressed with the ‘temporary’ content.
