I really want know what developers make with downed skill number 3. These 2 second of stealth was used for drop agro on PvE and now dont work and this skill is not useful anymore. This skill now need rework coz now its same like thief has only 3 downed skills. Downed = dead now.

Last days it is great problem. Aurora glade server is so much overflowing that is almost not possible to try kill group bosses like dragons. If you really want kill some dragon for example you must stay on spawn place about 1 hour before spawning time/window or you will be redirected to overflow. Last time some group of maybe 10 ppl said that they are guesting here from another server and my friend wasnt able to join me on normal server and was on overflow only coz some groups of ppl was occupying our home server. And I ask why? Why ppl from another servers should be able to occupy our server and cause that our ppl must stay on overflow????

Most necessary thing is increase population cap of maps and repair lags which are unbelievable during bosses. Other solution is kick and redirect players which entered world as last to another world. I know that its seems to be hard solution, but if Anet doesnt find some way how allow more ppl to stay on map without horrible lags, its only one possible solution. Every day there are more and more players on worlds and servers are overloaded and “veteran” players cannot go bosses coz 90% of time finish on overflow. Another good solution is maybe some option on settings which allow player to off visibility of other players (only on PvE). Last time I was on dragon and it was all ok without any lags but when all textures of another players was loaded, all horrible lags was back. Its simple, only give there option on settings to off another players textures on PvE and for example allow only party or guild players textures visibility. I bet that this option can help fix lags.

Guild bounty totaly discriminate smaller guilds. For example guild with 10 members have almost no change make 1st tier and other 2nd and 3rd tier are absolutely impossible for smaller guilds. I thought that Anet respect smaller guilds but this their step bury all smaller guilds. Anet should respect that there are small “family” guilds which are satisfied and dont want have 500+ members. Anet just force small guilds to dismiss and join massive big consumerist guilds which are able to do guild bounties but communication is total chaos and there is no narrow circle of friends who recognize together. Totaly dont understand this step of Anet bury small guilds.

I have example. One leader still pm me and try to convince our small guild to join them. I joined them for half of day and what I saw? I saw big guild with 100+ members which want took every player only to do mission. This guild had no spirit, it was pure guild mission-based guild. If I asked for help, nobody respond. If I wanted to find party for some dungeon, nobody respond. Communication? 3-4 words on guild chat per 3 hours. TS3? Empty. It was total chaos.This is exactly what you want Anet? Big consumerist guilds where nobody communicate, nobody help and only exist to make Guild missions?

I just picked GW2 back up, now that I have finished school and I have a week off. I just want to know what has changed for Thiefs since I have been gone…

I feel like I don’t know how to play anymore, pvp or pve

Nothing new, ppl are still crying like a small children on forum how is thief op. Its still same. Nothing new.

Pretty much tired of thieves, I’m hoping to see one or multiples nerfs as soon as possible, will the upcoming Jan update contain nerfs to thieves? Oh and to those thieves out there who want to defend there class by claiming it’s balanced or even underpowered: There has to be a reason why half of the community is complaining how OP thieves are right?

First at all, because you called me a kid, I’ll consider you as a kid yourself. Instead of using strong arguments why Thieves are not OP (which are rare), you are telling me to stop crying. I’ve played alot of MP games, from FPSs to RPG’s, and it always had some lack of balance, but not always that there was one absolute OP class, which is certainly the case in Guild Wars 2: Thieves.

I have learnt one important thing. Using strong arguments against ppl like you is only time wasting. You only see your “OP” truth and nothing will change it. Ppl like you are only real problem on game and not “OP” thieves. Thief is one of the weakest classes on game and for example my friends from guild has no problem to kill thieves its only you who dont know how to play against them. Another nerf of thief only ruin this class and it will be unplayable and nobody will not take thief to dungeon etc. And this is only thx to crying kids on forum. Its global problem on all games = crying kids.

You will never change your mind and I will never change my. You are happy that you will get ascended for nothing and no work and Im angry that I got my ascended with a lot of time spent on fractals and everybody will now get if for free.

I hope that getting ascended items from laurels will be at least same hard as on fractals. You said that its so easy to get ascended items from fractals but its not truth. For ascended back you need 1.850 fractal relics and its very long way to get it + ring MAYBE drop after 10+ and do you know that you need some Agony resistance before you enter 10+? If ppl dont have Agony resistace and everybody go there withou it, you will end soon. Its not so easy how you think and is visible that you are not going fractals because you dont know what are you speaking about. For me it was for example 210x simple fractals to get ascended back and you think that it is easy? It took much time and exactly same time should take collecting laurels for ascended items.

Is good to know that ppl will have ascended items in few day while other ppl spent weeks on getting same items from fractals.

And i ask you same question. Why should those of us who arent interested on grinding and collecting materieal be forced to do it to get legendary weapon? We are not lazy, thats just not what we want to do in-game. ANet has said that GW2 should be about “playing the game your way,” so limiting a tier of equipment to only one activity goes against that philosophy. Agree? Players who play more will have more rewards not better rewards and that is how its intended.
I have no idea what you are talking about mesmer portals and stuff, but seems to me that you have no idea what you are talking either. Also draging legendarys into this discussion is grasping for straw if you ask me. Preaching doom prophecies is getting old, considering how many world endings we survived

You dont know what Im talking about? I will try explain it to you. I think that you now that mesmer portal will be given to some another classes and same ascended items will be easy to get for all and no matter how much time they spend on game and this is exactly what im speaking about. This game is going to part where everybody will have everything. There will be no differences between players and characters who spend more time on game and those who spend only 30 min per day. I was speaking with friend and he told me that he played some game where was very hard to get mount animal, he was hardly playing about 3 months to get it and then (after children was crying on forum how it is hard) game designers make this mounts almost for free and everybody have these mounts. This mount was sign of hard work he did on game and it was thing which distinguished him on game from occasional players and now? On this game have everybody mounts even players who almost dont play. He spent 3 months of hard playing to get it, children cried and now his work is ruined. And exactly same thing will happen here on GW2. After one year everybody will have legendary weapons which will drop from mobs or something like this and everybody will have everything. This is game of your dream??? My not.

And I hope that it will take about 2/3 months to get enough laurels for ascended items. Ascended items are near legendaries so it will not have everybody for some daily only.

What do you think of the Laurel system?

I personally always complete the daily/monthlies so I’m looking forward to finally being able to progress towards ascended gear without having to do FoTM.

Does anyone know how much it takes to get a ascended ring? We can see in the preview that is costs ~100 for a cat tonic, 5 for 10 uid dyes, and 5 for ‘class gear’ (yellow).

I think that getting ascended items for laurels is not fair to ppl who spent a lot of time doing fractals of the mist up to now. I spent a lot of time on fractals (over 250+ fractals) to get some ascended items (and im still now somewhere on middle of my way) and now everybody can easily buy it just for doing daily and montly and this is not right. Lazy ppl who dont work for their ascended on fractals should not get this ascended items. You want ascended? Then go hard work to fractals like other ppl and not only do daily/monthly. If I remember good Anet said that ascended items are items between exotics and legendaries with corresponding difficulty of getting it and what we see now? Ascended items for daily/monthly. Are you normal Anet? What will be your next step? Legendaries for daily/monthly? Let ascended item only for those who did hard work on fractals and deserve it and not for all. Ppl doing daily/monthly dont deserve ascended items. I hope that at least ascended will need 3+ months of daily/monthly to buy it.

“Hard work”?
People don’t play this game for hard work. They play the game to have fun.
ArenaNet is doing this so people can play the game the way THEY Want to.
If you happen to get your ascended items quicker from FotM then fine, your reward is getting it faster. But being forced into doing content some of us dont want to do in order to get Armor with stats to keep up, is only going to break the game.

Dont tell people how they should play their game.
We play the game the way we want. How we want. And if you enjoy FotM then great, do it. You want to grind? Fine. But there are people who just want to play for Fun and want to progress by having fun. We are in No Rush.

I dont want grind materials for legendary weapon and only want play for fun, but there is no other way only grind or invest huge money and buy it. If there is easier way for ascended, there should be easier way for legendaries too. I dont want to be forced to do some content which i dont want to do but I must if i want legendary weapon.

Exactly same with legendaries. If you want legendary weapon you must HUGE grind or invest HUGE amount of money. Ascended are very close to legendaries and should be too very hard to get them and not only do daily/monthly. If you want play only for fun and relax then stay on Queensdale with blue set and kill bandits for fun but if you want better/best items you should do something more than only wait when Anet make shortcuts for lazy ppl.

playing for fun ===> worse items but fun

harder playing and lot of work===> better/best items

I really want to see owners of legendaries if Anet now say that legendaries will be for laurels from daily/monthly and everybody have legendary weapon in 3-4 weeks. I think that they would be 1000 more times angry than me now. Best items are reward for good work on game and not for relax playing.

Im on fractals every day and whole day so i know how difficult fractals can be and this is main reason why only those ppl who did hard work there should get ascended only. No work, no ascended. Do daily is not hard work enough to get ascended item. Try imagine how now feel all these ppl who did on fractals really hard work with hundreds hours on FotM and now they know that all can easily earn ascended through daily/monthly. I really want know if Anet give to these players some compensation or bonus for this nonsense step with ascended for laurels and I hope that it will cost months and months of daily/monthly for one piece of ascended for laurels.

Many players (like me) have multiple characters, and have to share the pool of laurels between them. If it takes more than a month or two for one character to get one piece of gear, it makes the acquisition pointless. There will be better gear released before my characters were fully outfitted.

You want to be fully outfitted? Go to FotM and make ascended rings and back like other industrious ppl and dont wait until Anet make unfair shortcuts for lazy players who want best items without work.

Trying to silence other peoples opinions on the subject is not the solution for a reasonable discussion.

They shouldn’t be posting here, but in Wvw or Suggestions. This sub-forum is for thieves discussing their builds, weapons, issues they have with completing content. This is the only profession sub-forum that is, at times, overrun, with qq-threads from non-thief players.

The best thing to do is probably ignore these threads and report them as off-topic with a suggestion to move the thread/post to another sub-forum. That way they can have their cake and we can eat ours.

Right and totaly agree. Why here on thief sub-forum we must all time read only some QQ topics of another classes. This sub-forum should serve, as said above, for help thieves with play, help them with builds, traits, weapon combinations, strategy…etc and not only for effusions of some mentally unstable ppl who still feel need of complaining about thieves because they was some time defeated by some pro thief.

Why do you think here was created topic called “The thief and its gameplay – Your feedback”? It was created by moderators and Anet because they cannot stand this flood of off-topics, spamming and QQ topics which infected this sub-forum like a plague. This topic was made for crying children, there they can cry 24h per day and dont spam whole forum. Every day I go look to thief sub-forum and want read some news and some interesting build and what I see all time?? Only QQ posts how is thief OP. Trust me that after 5 months of reading still same QQ topics I have right to be angry to this type of ppl.

150% agree swinsk.6410 and is very good that Anet see it too and instead of some nonsencial nerfing of thief they focus on nerfing AoEs which are really OP on game. Is good to know that Anet designers are reasonable and dont listen to crying kids on forum and balance things that really need to be balanced and is good to see reasonable ppl like you on forum which have really objective opinions instead of making another QQ topics about class which is balanced and right. This is exactly type of ppl who should be on forum and no ppl with head full of revenge coz was defeated by thief.

Exactly. Ppl have problem that thieves are good on 1v1 fights but fact that eles can beat 1vX player from afar they dont mention. Thx god that Anet go nerf AoEs, it is REAL OP problem and not thieves. Thieves are made to be very good on 1v1 and this is problem for many ppl but fact that there are classes that can beat 1vX player is not problem for ppl.

There are many classes that are really OP like warriors or mesmers but all ppl only attack thieves and why? Only because they have stealth, thats all. But stealth belong to thief like clones/phantasms to mesmers. Want remove stealth from thieves is same like want remove clones/phantasms from mesmers or bows or pets from rangers.

Instead of complaining about stealth and whatever else…posting videos and trying to make a case of it…JUST TAKE SOME TIME TO LEARN THE MECHANICS OF THE CLASS AND LEARN TO COUNTER IT!!!

I’m sorry but posting a video of 5 low level baddies trying to kill one high end thief ain’t proff of anything but the fact that you should level, gear your toon and learn to PvP!!!

I run a thief in WvW mostly now and I die like everyone else…some classes give me headaches more than others…but the ones that mostly give me trouble are those who actually know what they are doing, and know the thief weaknesses and play to expose them instead of playing into them…

People expect to run around like chicken without heads with a lever 30 toon in WvW and expect to kill anyone easy mode and as soon as a player or a class actually knows what they are doing and kills them they cry out and QQ about it everywhere.

Get real people…get off the tief OP QQing bandwagon and go take time to actually learn to play the game!

+1 Cannot agree more. Nice post. Is the highest time to ban all ppl for making QQ posts and cry on forum. I think that spamming on forum is bannable and against rules and QQ topics and crying posts are great example of spamming forum.

Thief is very fragile character and has one of the lowest HP pool on game so he need some advantage to be able fight another OP classes like for example warrior which deal noncomparable more damage than thief + have much more HP and toughness than thieves. Without stealth and another skills thief will be only practise target for noobs who want some free kills.

As I said much time. First learn to play against thieves, then make one and level him to 80 level with full exotic gear and fight another experienced players and after that you maybe can speak about thief on forum. But ppl who have never played thief, dont know how thief work and go cry on forum how is thief OP, have no right to post such a topics and speak about thief. Absolutely no right!!!! All these QQ topics are made ppl who was 1-2 times defeated by some pro thief and now, instead of learning how to counter thief, only go cry on forum and want revenge. Experienced and pro player no need to cry on forum and make thousands of QQ topics about “OP” thief to feel better. Experienced and pro players learn how to counter thief instead.

And as was said on post more up. Videos where 1-60 lvl players go fight with full exotic 80 lvl experienced thief is no proof of OP of thief. Its only proof that these ppl are noobs and only want discredit thieves on forum.

Here’s the description of stealth from wiki:
“Stealth — Thieves have access to multiple skills which, for a short duration, make them invisible to enemy players and avoid aggro of hostile NPCs. While stealthed the thief is not targettable, but can still be damaged by attacks which hit them, and attacking from stealth will break the deception.”

And from the 14th december update notes:
“Thieves are the masters of mobility, stealth and high single target damage. They can be very fragile if you counter their stealth with area of effects or large stacks of conditions, but they trade this fragility in order to have some of the highest burst damage in the game. They are able to help allies through traps, venoms and the mobility to flank most encounters.”

The thing to notice about these videos isn’t only that the Thief is able to have stealth up for what seems to be next to permanently, but also how easily the Thief is able to escape once low on health. That shadow stepping makes the Thief able to easily escape AoE attacks and snares. That with Cloak and Dagger the Thief can keep stealth up without any lose to playstyle, thanks to the fast recharge of initiative. That “Revealed” is not a hinderance for the Thief at all, because the three seconds that the Thief can’t stealth, is the time that’s spend on attacking anyway. That the Thief don’t have to use their utilities for anything, other then gaining more stealth. And that on top of all of this, the Thief can also use skills like Dagger Storm to avoid damage, or Thieves Guild as pseudo clones for distraction.

This is how the majority of Thieves play: Stealth to get the upper hand and maximum damage on first attack, attack for three seconds until Revealed has passed, gain stealth again to regain positioning on your foe, attacking him again when he’s got his back turned, keep attacking him as he tries to run away with 20% health left, alternatively use shadow stepping or cripple to stop him from escaping, stealth again when he’s downed so he or an ally can’t stop you from stomping him, and then stealth/shadow step away, or start attacking the ally who was trying to help the foe you just stomped. If three or more players finally do manage to get you down to low health; use shadow stepping/Dagger Storm/Thieves Guild to get away, go back into stealth to make your foes lose track of you, hide until your health is restored, proceed to attacking again.


Am I the only one who can see the contradictory between how ArenaNet wants the Thief to play, and how it is actually played? I’m not sure how anyone (other then a Thief maybe) can justify stealth, for the Thief, as being balanced. I mean, how are you suppose to fight a profession that you can’t see for 80% of a fight, and who can easily escape you during the 20% window where you actually do see him? How is this fun to play against?

Stop crying. Again one looser who cannot stand abilities of one class and dont want l2p against this class. Instead of l2p you write here novels how OP thiefs are. Thief is glass cannon which mean that he need to do most damage on first seconds or he is dead. Only point of this topic is make thief UP and useless and you can easily kill thiefs like pigs on slaughterhouse. This is only one thing you really want. I know nice number of player which has no problem with fighting against stealthed thieves. I was defeated many times by thieves and you see me cry here? No. Only problem with ppl is that ppl dont know how to play against thieves and these one, who know how to play against thieves has no problem with them.

Mesmer has clones and phantoms, necromancer can call army of minions to help him on fight and thiefs ability is stealth. Thief without stealth is same like mesmer without clones = useless character and practise target for other players and this is exactly what you want by writting this foolish novel. Instead of crying over forum, go play thief and go play against experienced players and you will see how easy is kill thief if you know how play against him.

I just want for thieves some compensation and I dont care if this compensation will be portal or something else but Necromancers, Rangers and Elementalists have our +25% speed signets so I want something from them in return for our original signet and this portal is nice candidate for give to thieves as compensation for our stolen speed signet. They have something which belong to thief so thief want something what belong to other clasess. Its so easy. Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.

I dont know on which dream cloud you live now but we live on world of trade which mean I give you something and you give me something in return. Developers still owe something to thieves for steal their original signet and giving it to other classes.

Im very happy that you speak about this that door should swing both ways….If I remember well, +25% speed signet was on the begin privilege ONLY of thief and now this same speed signet have more classes like necromancer or elementalist so what thief get as compensation for “stolen” +25% speed signet? I think that thief is best candidate for mesmer portal skill. I would like to get portal skill instead of Shadow trap which is broken and work only on perfectly straight ground.

As you said this door should swing both ways and this is exact example of thief and his original +25% speed signet which was stolen and given to other classes. And btw portal is not damage skill so stop QQ about OP thief if he has portal etc…. The door should swing both ways but for all not only for mesmers.

I think that especially thieves need portal coz their other portal abilities are broken and work only on perfectly straight surface. All portal abilities dont work if you have just a little diferent altitude than your final place where you want port. And btw i said i want it to help my friends port on JP, not for porting armies on WvW (its why i said this limit about 2-5 ppl per portal.

And second think why thief should get portal is that Necromancers, Elementalists and Rangers now has +25% speed signet which was privilege only of thieves and Anet gave it to them so now thieves can have like compensation mesmer portal. Why not.

I would like to have portal for thief. Portal is not damage skill which can kill players but only can help to your friends for example on jumping puzzles. For example i like jumping puzzles and have no problems with it but i have friends who want archievement but they are not good at it and maybe never finish 50-70% of JP, so i can help them with thief if thief has portal. I think its good idea to give portal to more classes. Thief can have for example shadow gate of somehing like this a there should be limit of transported ppl about 5 for example so its not tool for teleporting whole army on WvW and PvP. You must understand that portal is tool which help your friends and not damage them. Thief was only class who had +25% signet and now this signet speed have almost all classes like necro or elementalist so I think that is fair if thief has too some skill from other class. You took something original from thief so thief can have something original from other classes.

I would be OK if Engis had it. Or even Rangers, though it doesn’t make sense thematically. Any other class would just be absurd.

I think that some Shadow gate on thief make sense thematically. This teleport should have all classes and not only some like necro or engineer. If you speak about absurd portal it is engineer portal.

Legendary armor?? Better no – with so much epic high need of materials it will take half of normal human life to make full legendary gear and some older players could die sooner before they make some pieces of legendary armor. As said Tachenon. There should be another way how obtain legendary armors (from example one piece of your armor become legendary after killing Zaithan or another epic monster) or weapons and not only epic farming 24/day. Generally legendary weapons now have excessive demands and requirements should be reduced.

I havent played GW1 and GW2 is now boring for me too. My opinion is that they should instead of some events focus on adding new maps, areas, monsters, quests and rise max levels. If I see whole map there is very much place where put new areas and with this they can raise max level.

I’ve been reporting the same 3 bots for over 6 weeks now, and they are still in the same place botting away 24/7 they are in my friends list so l know. (Maybe they disbanded the bot team).

I’ve farmed in the same place, good drops, fast respawns, they sure know how to pick a good place, I wouldn’t stay too long though, other players will report you by mistake.

I dont know what Anet is doing…. They only published one article about how they fight against botting…nice words…but reality???? Reality is that Anet is totaly blind to botting. I have reported from start of game about 60 bots, 3 of them I reported on the begin of December and now Im surprised that exactly same bots are still farming on same area where I reported them before more than one month.

Anet are you serious??? You let farm bots for more than month? You dont care that these bots destroy ingame economy + real players cannot farm ingredients because groups of 5+ bots kill all monsters so fast that normal player has almost 0% chance to hit and drop??? I dont understand you Anet. You banned many players for using wintersday glith with snowflakes and you cannot ban bots which operate on whole game? Its total nonsense what you do. You banned many non-guilty players which didnt know that this thing with snowflakes is glitch but on the other side you let bots farming for months their ingredients and rare item – you see any logic on this? I dont.

I really dont know why I still report all these bots which I find on maps. When I report them its same like i dont report them. Report or no report = no punishment for botters but when somebody use glitch and dont know that use glitch, you ban immediately. You have really feeling for fairness.

I read article where Mike Lewis apeak about War Against the Bots and it sounds good but reality is other. I dont see that number of bots in game is decreasing the other way around i think that number of bots have raised. Is good to know that Anet know about this problem but their solving of botting is very slow. Today i have found about 10 bots only on Frostgorge Sound map and friend about 5 another bots on same map. They are farming here lodestones which lead to ruining of ingame economy and other players cannot farm there because these about 5-member groups of bots farm it very fast but bigger problem is that Anet is solving it very very slowly. Before one month ago i reported one bot and today im surprised that exactly same bot is still farming on same place, after one month after reporting!!! I think that now it must be faster to recognize bots because every can see how bots are now somehow porting or something like this….you clearly see that it is program and not real player.

Winter Wonderland JP - % that can make it

I would like to know what percentage of the GW2 population can complete this jump puzzle. I tired it 100 times easy, no way. I’m guessing 1-2%?

Winter Wonderland is the easiest puzzle on game. 1-2% is maybe number of ppl who havent finished it yet. It looks that this puzzle is made for ppl from kindergarten. i did it on second try when JP was released and then every day 1x for reward on first try. I have never seen easier puzzle on this game. They should have made it hard like Mad King clock tower. It was real JP with real reward on top and not kindergarten puzzles with crap reward on the end like we see now on Winter wonderland. I hope that Anet next time will make at least so hard puzzle like Clock tower was or better harder. WW is not challenge for players.

Yes its best gift for me too that this Tixx crap end soon. The worst event I have ever seen on all games I have played till now. Total crap. I hope that Tixx soon will get out with his embarrassing airship and NEVER come back to gw2. This event is TOTAL tragedy. Boring and every day still same events with no better reward. Omg Anet most ppl want some good reward for event like was for karka event and not crap toys and relax events. Ppl play gw2 for action and rewards and not for some crap toys with stupid events and no rewards!!! If you want making relax events like Wintersday then make another game with prince, princess on magic castle with unicorns flying around rainbow and there you can make relax events 24h per day but not here on gw2!!!

Halloween = fantastic event with real puzzle for players with nice rewards, great Mad King dungeon with good rewards from chest

Lost shores = much lags but nice event with great rewards on final chest

Wintersday = total crap event, still repeating boring events on Tixx dungeon, lags everywhere, no real reward for players for final dungeon, jumping puzzles are so much easy that must be made for 5-6 years old players and reward for JP? Another crap.

And can I ask what you expected? The word of glory? Never. This event is till now total fail.

Events? Mega fail. Every day do still same quests on Tixx dungeon and what i get for this work? Some blue rubbish from chest and material (for useless minipet) which is good only for sell on market for some silver. This event was just a little funny first day first 5 minutes maybe.

Jumping puzzles? Another fail. These puzzles are so easy that it must do every 5-6 years old kid who reach keybord on first try. Total easy and another rubbish on chest. What about make it so hard like Clock tower was with corresponding reward? It was REAL jumping puzzle and not this what Anet show now.

I was hoping that this event will be challenge with some REAL rewards and not so boring relax event with primitive puzzles, tedious and still repeating quests on Tixx dungeon with no valuable rewards and some winter games which bore you after 10 mins of playing.

Omg Anet pls wake up. Much players want real challenge with valuable rewards like karka event or halloween event. Clock tower it was REAL jumping puzzle, Mad king dungeon it was REAL dungeon, Mad king chests it was REAL rewards for hard work and not this winter “event”. If you want make relax events, do some another game for children from 5-10 years and there put relax events. Here on GW2 players want real events like halloween or karka events was with real challenge and real valuable rewards and no fairy tales games with socks and sweaters rewards omg. This is Guild wars 2 not Fairy tales 2. What will be next event? Princess event with pink dress reward or what???? We should maybe call this event “Wintersfail” better. Its more corresponding name for event like this. For GW2 make pls REAL events and save these events like Wintersday for another game where players appreciate it more.

I hope that final part of this event give us some good rewards and not only another rubbish toys. I hope that these event parts till now was only bad joke and with final come real event with real rewards.

Let’s just remove the thief! Seriously, everyday there’s a new post about a different ability that needs to be nerfed. The only one that needed a nerf was HS. Learn to counter it with condition removal and the thief wasted all that spamming and is out of initiative.

True. Ppl dont learn to counter thief attacks or dont know how play his own character and go cry to forum and start thousands of QQ topics where want nerf some skill.

During last one month I read here tons of QQ topics from crying kids about:

nerf vital shot,

nerf stealth,
remove stealth,
nerf pistols (it really made me laught, they said that pistols are OP :-D and cry for nerf – total nonsense)

… and much more QQ topics here during last months

You still have some inside psychological problems with all thief skills and must go cry every day here on forum and ruin game to other players. I see problem in your playing of your character and no on thief skills. I have one good solution for you. Stop playing online games and go play tetris. Dont play GW2 if you have so big problem with thieves and dont ruin playing to other players which are satisfied. You would be crying here every day even thief has only basic attacks with no other skills: “Thief has only one skill but this skill is very OP and deal some damage to other players, please nerf it…QQ.” You all crying kids cannot imagine how embarrassing you are with all your posts. You only ruin game for players and make hard work for moderators. If I were on moderator post i would ban you all only for crying on forum with no mercy.

Ok, every night i go with party do new Tixx dungeon, after 10-15 minutes we are done and its all? Im disappointed when i look back on Halloween or Lost Shores events. During Halloween there was real challenge JP, great rewards and repeatable dungeon with still good rewards. Lost shores was good for final rewards and what now? The easiest JP i have ever seen, minimum or trash rewards only mini-pets material. Its all? Really?

Wintersday jumping puzzles seems to be designed for 5-6 years old players. Its too easy and reward is trash. Im was disappointed by these easy puzzles and more disappointed by reward from chest. This puzzle is totally not-comparable with Clock Tower. Tower was REAL challenge and reward was great.

I was only 3 times on Tixx. First time when event started, then one more again and when i learned what reward i get after second try i finished. Some gifts and some trash is really not appropriate reward for repeating dungeon. Same with jumping puzzles. You go first time, you got some bad reward and when you go second time you got some trash.

My opinion is that Wintersday is 100x weaker than Halloween was. Halloween was great. Jumping puzzles was real challenge and rewards on the top was great. Wintersday puzzles seems to be designed for 5-6 years old players and reward is bad – find some vistas on normal maps was much harder than finish wintersday JP. Mad King dungeon was fantastic with great rewards and no trash drop after you done dungeon second time like we see here on Tixx dungeon.

Wintersday are good if player wants relax but not for challenge-based players.

Its not only legends. From older server i know many cases when party leaders prefered better other classes than thief. Its not legend its sad reality. If thief has no guild he has very low chance to find party to dungeons or fractals.

And only reason why nobody want thieves on dungeons is constant nerfing of thief because some kids club still cry here every day on thousands of topics and only poison forum with bad mood and strifes. Is Anet really blind that dont see that they are ruining one good class? Are moderators so blind and dont see that crying kids only poison forum? You are only dancing how children cry.

Now thief is weak and weaker and weaker with every new patch. I want ask Anet something too. Do you want still nering thieves or directly delete it?

Taking stealth to thief is TOTAL NONSENSE. Thief without stealth is same like elemetarists without spells or ranger without bow. Stealth is essence of thief class and only defence mechanism. If Anet take stealth from thief away Anet will have to give to thieves SUPER GREAT compensation like double HP or tank skills or something else. Is not possible to have there one class with no defence mechanism.

You kids all time cry here. Thief is glass cannon. You cry that attacks are super OP, then stealth is super OP, backstab is super OP….etc etc tadytadytadyda. So what you want? Easy target for kill or practise target which you can kill with 1-2 shots or WHAT? I know what you want…you want only glass class without damage, stealth, defence mechanisms…etc – you want easy kill enemy.

Condition thieves, an easy fix for Anet

Quite possibly the easiest fix to one of the biggest exploits in this game.
Have ‘VITAL SHOT’ cost INITIATIVE. Find out the math behind if 1 to 1.5 to 2 initiative per vital shot round is reasonable. This will eliminate the exploitation of THE condition thief pistol/dagger combo to a certain degree, and there will be very few complaints….until the culling issue problem with thieves get solved of course.
Again, I am a thief and I actually like using this build, but I believe in fairness.

You are realy king of fools. Again one QQ topic. Vital shot is one of the weakest and slowest autoattacks and you want nerf it? Go cry another place pls and dont bother here. No one class has costs on autoattacks so why thief should have it? Its clear that you only want make another cry topic where kids can cry against thieves. I want please you and all your crying kids fanclub to stop playing GW2. All will be more happy then. Ppls like you only poison this game and forum.

Yes, agree. P/P build need some rework and main rework need Unload. Unload need more damage and less initiative cost. Now from Unload thief has less damage for high cost so thief use 2x Unload and initiative is out. It need rework with all other pistol skill which are most time useless and very weak on combats. And its not only my opinion (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/thief/Tired-of-seeing-P-P-in-groups) – there is visible that more ppl see it. P/P is not useful and more ppl think that pistols should be little buffed to be more useful on combats.

Main problem is that mediocre (or bad) players who hate thieves and QQ until they get nerf are 85% and only 15% understand mechanism and know how escape thief attacks…etc. First group still think that thief can kill group of players but true is that thief can fight only against one another player or maybe two players if they are noobs with no gear and low level (WvW). Thief is 1vs1 character so he is good on 1vs1 fights but against more players he is bad and better opponents can kill thief very easily in 2-3 seconds thx to low HP of thief and no defence skills. These ppl who still QQ dont understand what assassin/thief/rogue class mean on games.

Btw its not only about this confussion. This topic is beautiful example. Thieves have found some new good “unicorn” build and what happened? On forum is QQ topic how is this new build OP, how thief can kill small army and cry for nerf. Every new thing on thief which can be good for PvE/PvP is only target of crying forum topics.

Deep breath? How i can take deep breath if i must every day read some QQ topics and crying for nerfes of thief. One day it is stealth, other day stealing, other day backstab,next day build…etc. Every day somebody want nerf part of thief and still complain about thief. Are you really so much jealous that you must find every advantage on thief class and try cry for nerf, omg? Are you really so great noobs with your own classes that you must cry for thief nerf 24 hours per day? Im tired of reading here every day these QQ topic started by kids which was one time defeated by some thief. Its not thief problem that you are noob players and cannot play your choosen class.

I see this strategy on all games, lets recapitulate it:

1) first some kid choose one class and expect that he/she will be best super killer on whole server and can kill whole army of enemies alone
2) the kid meet some other player which is more experienced and play his/her character very good and is better than our kid
3) the good player defeat our kid
4) the kid has rendezvous with true reality that he/she is not best on server
5) the kid say “Its not possible. Im best killer ever, i can kill everybody. This class who defeated me must be OP”
6) the kid go to forum and start QQ topic where whimper and cry for nerf of this “OP” class and our kid become “crying kid”
7) it is only one example of one kid which “Im best killer on world” dream is destroyed so we must multiply this example with number of all “dream destroyed” children on game and we have tons of crying children on forum.
8) and catastrophe is when developers of game dance how these children play and do all what they cry for. Now we have tons of crying children on forum + ruined and useless classes on game.
9) now, when crying children have what they wanted and one good class is totally ruined and useless for playing they continue on playing and are happy that they removed one class which endangered them.
10) some time later, one beautiful day they meet another good player who defeat our children
….now continue reading on point 4) This process is neverending story.

When this process happen again and again we have here all or majority of ruined and useless classes which mean that whole game is ruined and almost unplayable OR one we have here one strong class which is played by all players and other classes are forgotten.

This is process and good way how destroy one good game with great potential. Think about it you crying children!!! You dont ruin only one class but whole game for all players. And same for developers: think about it what you do to your game!!! By ruining one class you start chain reaction which lead to desctruction of whole game, your game and your source of money.

There are not unbalanced classes but only unbalanced players.

Yes with the Prayer to Lyssa spell :o

Omg go to take a ice shower and wake up. Prayer to Lyssa is human race spell not thief spell, every human can use it. And btw Prayer to Lyssa (Pray to Lyssa, granting a random boon to yourself and a random condition to target enemy) has effect only on TARGET enemy so only ONE target no all. In addition it grant RANDOM boon so it can be bleeding, poison, chill OR confusion or other random boon. So NO thief has no confusion skill!!!

Are you really so much jealous that you must find every advantage on thief class and try cry for nerf, omg? Are you really so great noobs with your own classes that you must cry for thief nerf 24 hours per day? Im tired of reading here every day these QQ topic started by kids which was one time defeated by some thief. Its not thief problem that you are noob players and cannot play your choosen class.

I see this strategy on all games, lets recapitulate it:

1) first some kid choose one class and expect that he/she will be best super killer on whole server and can kill whole army of enemies alone
2) the kid meet some other player which is more experienced and play his/her character very good and is better than our kid
3) the good player defeat our kid
4) the kid has rendezvous with true reality that he/she is not best on server
5) the kid say “Its not possible. Im best killer ever, i can kill everybody. This class who defeated me must be OP”
6) the kid go to forum and start QQ topic where whimper and cry for nerf of this “OP” class and our kid become “crying kid”
7) it is only one example of one kid which “Im best killer on world” dream is destroyed so we must multiply this example with number of all “dream destroyed” children on game and we have tons of crying children on forum.
8) and catastrophe is when developers of game dance how these children play and do all what they cry for. Now we have tons of crying children on forum + ruined and useless classes on game.
9) now, when crying children have what they wanted and one good class is totally ruined and useless for playing they continue on playing and are happy that they removed one class which endangered them.
10) some time later, one beautiful day they meet another good player who defeat our children
….now continue reading on point 4) This process is neverending story.

When this process happen again and again we have here all or majority of ruined and useless classes which mean that whole game is ruined and almost unplayable OR one we have here one strong class which is played by all players and other classes are forgotten.

This is process and good way how destroy one good game with great potential. Think about it you crying children!!! You dont ruin only one class but whole game for all players. And same for developers: think about it what you do to your game!!! By ruining one class you start chain reaction which lead to desctruction of whole game, your game and your source of money.

There are not unbalanced classes but only unbalanced players.
