No, it wasn’t. Premade vs pugs was stupid and I’m glad it’s over. Synced queues might be a problem but at least, this isn’t intendet and hopefully will be fixed. 60% of the Players playing necro has nothing to do qith the new queue. The meta ist just broken.
Premades have long queues? Well, that just shows what people want and if these premades cant stomp pug teams any more ist a great change. I dont feel sorry for them

Thats the 4th video with the 4th different boss, where a warrior completely ignores the enemy mechanics and just bursts it down. This class is absolutely broken in pve.

Used fresh air build with full beserker(and cantrips) for alle bosses except the last one. Changed to 0/0/10/30/30 with a mix of beserker and clerics for liadri. Think s/d is better than d/d for the last boss, because she is hitting hard if you go melee. Did it as a d/d ele with the firesword elite. you have a 1,25sec avoid with a 5sec CD on skill 3. just running clockwise, spamming skill 1, dodging and using skill 3 if neccessary. problem were the orbs, because firesword skill 1 didnt dmg them and the casttime of 2 and 5 was too long. Dropping sword, destroying it with air 1 and getting the second firesword worked out for me.

Did it finally. Took me about 50-60 trys as a dagger/dagger ele. Had to use flamesword(helps a lot, 1 1/4sec avoid on a 5sec CD; skill 3) elite, because doing melee dmg in phase 2 makes it much more difficult. Classes with avoid skills and high range dmg have a clear advantage at this boss.

The only balanced class in my opininion is the guardian. All above him are a bit (necro much more) over the top. Warrior got a nice buff and are close to be balanced. Mesmers suffer from the strenght of condition damage and lack of condi removal and eles were overnerfed during the last months.

There is nothing more important at the moment then splitting solo and premade queue (like the vote on the other thread showed)
It is absolutely ridiculouis that you still didtn split it till now. The premade team has so many advantages from the beginning of the match that it is just stupid to allow a mixed queue.
The only one who dont want to seperate the queues are the bad premades who enjoy stomping pugs. But like always in this forum (the same people usually cry about other classes) you shouldn’t listen to them.
So plz hurry arenanet.

Either you play vs premades or u have leavers (every second game doesn’t end 5vs5) or the teams are unbalanced that you win or loose with a 400 points margin.

Actually from my experience (1100 tourney games,about 1050 of them solo queued, rest with 1-2 friends) in about 90% of my games the team with the higher rank players won. sure in theory the pvp rank tells nothing about the skill, but it tells how experienced you are and usually you get better if you play more.
leaderbords are a bad indicator as long as there is no split between solo queue and premade. leaderbords only tell how good your team is and while it is still possible to stomp pugs as a premade even this is pointless.
I dont know what matchmaking system arenanet is using but in consideration of the unbalanced matchups in terms of rank i think ist more something like a win/loose ratio system counting someóne with 20 wins and 10 looses the same as someone with 200 wins and 100 looses, which would be beyond stupid.

Good to see most agree with splitting solo-/premade Queue is the most important issue
1. split solo/premade queues in tourneys and leaderbords
2.other game modes than conquest
3. split between rank 1-10 and 11-80 players in tourney games

On one hand, we got some saying that defensive amulets are the problem. Others say the offensive amulets are as much as a problem.
Which is why ANet HAS to try a week or two the “no amulet for everyone” mode
No more OP bunker build, no more insane burst, everything is decided by the traits and trait lines you take

Did two solo queue games now.l First one vs a premade and with a Level 1 in my team. Second game vs the same premade and with a leaver in my team after we lost the first fight in the middle.
Can we get please some Information when YOU ARE GOING DO TO SOMETHING? How difficult can it be to split the queues when there was a solo queue in hotjoin from the start of the game. It’s ridiculous that you still dont managed to split the queues. Every kitten game dont match premade vs random because well…. the premade team has so many advantages thakitten is just stupid to match them together.

Great to hear but please start with seperating solo from premade queues. This is in my opinion the biggest problem atm.

Sooooo.. i suggest queueing up around times when there`s a lot of people playing (like weekend afternoons). It definitely increases your chance to get matched against/with people closer to your personal rating.
From my experience(1000+ tourney games) friday evening/weekend afternoon is the worst time to solo queue. like you said, most people play at this time but this means that because of organication issues also most premades play during this time. especially friday evening is a nightmare. usually about 80% of the games are against premade teams.
the matchmaking system is completely broken. rank <5 against rank >50, solo queuers against premades, every second game you have a leaver or someone afk.

Look at their base HP and you will understand why they got such a good condition removal…
Standard bunker build is 16 to 17k hp…..same as bunker ranger or engineer.
you wrote about the ele. and the standard bunker ele is far from 16k or 17k hp. its more about 13,8k-14k.

did 6 solo queue tourney games today
five of them ended with less then 5 players on my team.
two started with 4 players
one started with 3 players (lol)
one started with 5 players but one left after we lost the fight in the middle
one started with 5 players, one left at the middle of the match

the matchmaking system is completely broken. either you play with afkers or leavers or you have Level 1-5er in your team while the lowest rank player in the enemy team is Level 40. And not to mention the about 50% chance (from my experience) to face a premade while you are queuing solo.
There is so much broken with solo queue that i dont understand why this wasnt high priority for arenanet till day 1.

So RTL Cd increase and range decrease, no heal in mistform and the internal Cd on condition remove makes bunkers to “real winners”? Did i miss some buff or are we “true winners” now because the nerf dindt just hurt us as much as zerker eles?
The nerfs hurt part of what made bunker eles so strong, but they also took away zerker eles’ best method of survival. If bunker eles lost 5% of their effectiveness, zerker eles lost closer to 30% since they’ll die a lot more now.
yeah sure, i agree that the zerker ele is more affected that the bunker ele. but in comparison to all other classes they both loose strenght (although the zerker ele looses even more)

Bunkers had and still have plenty of ways to survive. Glassier builds lost most of their survivability, and have to move towards more bunkery build or be kitten awesome players.
No but if you take a rich and poor man 100 Dollars away it doesnt make the poor man to a winner.he still looses something and dont get anything. the rich man is only less affected then the poor man. you would have to take every other man (nerf every other class more then the ele) away 101 Dollars to make the poor man to a winner.(in comparison to all other people)

played about 40 solo Queue tourney matches since patch. amount of classes really changed:
there are a lot of rangers, necros, guardians and mesmers
a few engineers, thiefs
almost no eles and warriors

You might not want to keep going. Boon generation is not a class feature of Eles, most of our boons come from self-comboing on fields, WHICH ANY CLASS CAN DO. hence its not a unique feature, as I said.
Eles are not tanky by nature. They need to build for it just to reach the baseline survivability of other classes who don’t need to boon up for survival. Which means the Ele has to sacrifice a lot to get to the starting line of class power balancing.
Can you not even read? When was the last time you saw a Thief or Mesmer running boon duration runes because they HAD TO JUST TO SURVIVE? Again, Eles are not tanky unless they build for it, which they have to just to compete with other professions’ inherent survivability.
If you can’t understand that simple fact, then there’s really no point in arguing with you, you obviously are here just to get further nerfs to the Ele for whatever sadistic reasons you have, I presume because you want Eles to be loot and badge pinatas in WvWvW.
Currently, some people are not affected by the change because they are using RTL as it was intended. A gap closure

Learning ranger. Always been the hardest to beat since release while they keep getting stronger and my ele keeps getting weaker.
“Learning”? Seriously? Watched a 15min youtube bunker ranger guide for traits/equip/pets and weapons.
played 2x times hotjoin to learn the skills, then tried my first tourney game. 20 games later i didnt loose a single 1vs1 till now. Incredible point holder and really easy to play

Playing my mesmer and ranger. arenanet knows how to destroy the motivation to play a class (rtl nerf). I’m fine with mist form and the other nerfs, but the rtl nerf just feels undeserved, stupid and bad. During one month our main mobility spell went from a 15sec CD to 40. Thats just ridiculious.

I think there are some reasons why
a) slightly buffs to rangers
b) huge nerfs to other professions (especially eles)
c) People being busy crying about eles
d) Most rangers still dindn’t figure out how to skill/equip the right way. But there more and more who figure it out (just like with confusion in wvsw. while some months ago i didnt met a single confusion mesmer, everybody was playing it till last week)
main reason is probably c), as rangers where already strong the last months

Played three games in a row against the same premade team (guildgroup). In my teams everyone was queuing solo. This is how the second game looked at the end:

3 pm and 5 pm are not so bad if you are fair.
A very, very large portion of NA is still at work during this time. (Exceptions being shift work, 3rd shift, etc but ‘norm’ is presumed 9-5.)
and a even bigger portion of europe was sleeping or considering its friday night/saturday morning celebrating during this time. And a big portion of europe will be still sleeping or celebrating at 24:00. But at least it wont be roughly 90% of the playerbase. and you still have the advantage your first 9-12 hours after the reset (which decide the matchup in many cases) are during daytime, while our first 9-12 hours are decided by the better night/morningcapping server.

Honest question, how much impact will the reset being at midnight instead of 2am for EU players really have? (Honestly don’t know what its like in EU so no troll intended here)
Last reset at 1:15 am (before the summer time Change) 436 people on teamspeak
Last week reset at 2:15 am – 278 people on teamspeak
So even this one hour made a huge difference

Some (american) people here should stop being so selfish. Yes 3 pm isnt ideal, so isnt 0:15 am. 6 pm sounds great for some parts of america. but 2.15!! am was HORRIBLE. Considering how important the first hours after the reset is, Arenanet had to change something. I dont know how large the us and eu playerbase is, there are 27 eu Servers and only 24 us Servers, while the us servers are fuller. There are almost only europeans on eu servers (and russians if you dont count them to europe), while the rest of the world plays on us servers (and this rest of the world has anyways other reset times then the us players) So i think the playerbase is pretty equal, which means they had to find a compromise for bothe sides-. And giving one side a reset at 2.15!! am and the other at 5-8pm wasnt a fair compromise. As long as they cant seperate the reset times this is the way to go.

Confusion punishes lazy and unaware players. I usually don’t use that phrase, but it’s a l2p thing. It’s that easy. Die from confusion: well deserved.
The more I think about it though, if they nerf confusion, I’m actually fine with that – because then there’s finally absolutely no reason to invest anything in condition damage/duration any more for me. Power all the way, just like ANet wants it to be. Then I also don’t have to transmute my legendary and I’m totally fine in PvE too, which currently is quite painful.
No, it isnt just a l2 kitten ue . I have duelled more then 100 times confusion speecs (mainly mesmers, but also engineers and hunters) in the last 3-4 weeks. I dont like to call for a nerf about a certain class or speec and instead try to find a counter or to get better. But it didn’t help.I played a mesmer to Level 80 and practiced a lot with him to find out the weakness of confusion.. I asked other mesmers. I still have no chance in wvsw against this confusion speecs, while ist difficult in tpvp but at least possible to beat them.(thanks to the 50% dmg reduction) That leads me to the conclusion that the damage of confusion along with other things (like confusion procc on traited avoid or attunement change) is op. Please tell me a counter to confusion to Change my opinion. (and dont say doing nothing or using condition removal, because that isnt enough to beat a confusion mesmer)

There wont be any change in t1 for a while. Elona will start loosing points from the next week because school holidays in germany end. So the gap to deso will probably get even bigger. The t1 will only change if one of the t1 or t2 servers break apart like blacktide or arborstone.

Guilds queued, PuGies in! SFR zone had 1 supply camp and zone was queued I am not kidding. Ppl asked who was in the zone? The answer: noone!
Only 7 ppl from Vcy managed to get in after queuing for 2 hours. No recognizable names in the zone.
What can I say, if this goes on, I guess SFR could be the next Blacktide, thank you very much ANET for making a T1 server which already had 30-60min queues in primetime free to transfer to. Did they seriously think ppl would transfer here for PvE or what? Now they are killing what was a great server, because the ppl who were here before can’t even get to play WvW.

As a then and now random pugger ( that has been on SFR since day 1), RG and the other Piken guilds has put in a lot of effort for SFR. From my POV SFR late night force is heavily supported mainly by RG and RNV. RG paid the price to be on SFR, the newly come just exploited yet another one of Anet’s failures. Generally speaking – swarms of locusts that refuse to put ANY effort and destroying any good community in their path. Their main qualities are : fluent in “barrens chat” and starting arguments over things they have absolutely 0 knowledge of.Now in the sPVP forums threads have started to show up with people complaining that their hard earned PVE gear is not usable in PVP and they couldn’t get their laureals ( based on yet another anet failure )
So, how do you know the new players wont put any effort to help the server? Did you ask everybody? How do you know these players wont play during offtimes to help to win the t1? (as winning t1 is all about coverage, nothing else) The disrespect for Players who arent in a big wvsw guild or are new on the server is ridiculious .SFR is only winning t1 because of many many bandwagoners. And now you are saying, you dont want them anymore. And just to remiind you. SFR is the 7th or 7th server RG transfered to. So you can assure me they put the same effort for the other servers they were on? I doubt it, because i heard they didn’t do anything for points in the past and were just looking for guildvsguild fights. So what was the difference to the hated “bandwagoners” who arent doing anything for points in your opinion? And actually i dont care about server hopping guilds or players. Everybody has the right to join the server he or she wants. I just find it funny that the guild who did this many times , is now complaining about it. Who is the bigger serverhopper? A RG member on his 7th or 8th Server or a pug who transfered for the first time to another server (SFR) while arenanet decided to make the transfers free to the medium populated servers? Really dont know if this thread is serious. Churning earth has a 3 1/4 sec casttime and a very noticable animation. While casting it they ele cant do anything(not move for example), so he is easy interruptable. The teleport has a range of 900 yards, so what is your zerg doing while the 5 eles are casting churning earth? And how can the 4-5 eles kill a 30+ zerg when there is a aoe limit on 5 people?
