Guild Wars 2

I’m not that interested in the marriage idea, but I would think it would be cool to have “home” areas in Guild Halls. A few areas/plots where you need a special permission to decorate. Have a home tab in the Guild Menu where a leader can gave ranks and individual people permission to decorate in certain areas/plots. People can make custom Officer Headquarters, Leaders can have personal bunkers, Guilds can give an area/plot away as a prize to a member for x amount of time.

I semi already did this in my Guild Hall since I am a part of a small guild I claimed an area of the map with Red Balloon saying this is my home. But it would be cool to have predesignated areas for that that you can upgrade. Plus larger Guilds might have more of an issue with people claiming random spots.

Over the coarse of this Lunar New Year I have been in a few games where a team became ungodly zerg-like. Pretty much everyone dies in a matter of 5 seconds after spawning once that happens. One game in particular I was so frustrated because I spent the whole game just trying to get out of home, no matter which way I went I pretty much died the second I touch the field or less, a few times I died midair. I even just stood there to idle me out a couple times and died instantly. Most frustrating game ever!

Lucky for me though I got Dragon Glaze done in the first 2 days before every game was a zerg. I feel bad for anyone still trying to get that now. As of today finished Dragon Heart so I am done for the year with that mini game.

Overall it was fun the first 2 days after that nope. It’s a hit or miss with minigames and this one just isn’t my cup of tea. I do wish the volunteer would give you the win though…

First off I love how HoT gave Sylvari some unqiue dialogue and interactions. I would love to see them branching off of that and do that for the other races as well. Humans and Charr already have an interesting history with each other. They could even create an event to add more hostility between them at Ebonhawke. Some Asura NPCs could just insult your intelligence and only say something useful to an Asura player. Although, since GW2 has the whole we are stronger together theme/vib going for them having NPCs like that thrown in would be ironic.

Random things I would like are….

Ranger Pets, mainly sharks so I can have the aesthetics of having 2 sharks:

• Ice Shark – Already in the game just need a pet version.
• Reef Shark – Could reskin the sharks in Southsun Cove.
• Spiketail Fish – A counter pair for the Amorfish user.

Gem Store Sale of old old archive items such as all the sunglasses and bunny ears. I regret not purchasing all of the sunglasses way back when, and they have not been in any sale since they were removed

The common desire of more armor skins not outfits. I love mix and matching my characters. As cool as some of the outfits are I wish we had more armor skins.

Matching Unlimited Gathering Tools for existing tools. Again mainly for the aesthetics having a set of 3 same types. Plus I love the graphics of the Dreamcleaver Axe and want a full set of it. They could always plan anniversary events or something to reintroduce them if they wanted such as:

• Dreamcleaver Sickle & Pick – Introduce a Tower of Nightmare Fractal or an event like Spring has spread the toxic spores across Tyria!
• Consortium Axe & Pick – It’s Southsun Cove there is endless possibilities for some big event: An attempt to remake/build additions to the camps, the Consortium plan a festival about the Ancient Karka in their attempt to become a tourist attraction, Sylvari flee there for a new start after all the HoT stuff…to name a few examples (could introduce the Reef Shark Pet then wink wink )

Lastly I would like more open maps in the future and less levels/maze like. Don’t get me wrong I like the jungle and the vertical design and all but it makes thing more bothersome. For one the map is annoying, and I’m not saying I don’t know how to read it, I am saying that dealing with the levels is a pain compared to the normal open world maps throughout Tyria. I would much rather explore an open map then wander around bridges, tunnels, paths that is in HoT. Also yes I realized there is the mushroom and glider to help you get around, but the annoyance out weighed the novelty of it all for me.

Overall I’m hooked on this game and will be excited for whatever comes out

Old thread… but with the new login screen it lists crafts that I started on characters but completed on another. If the display included the level of craft they were at that would be great. Or otherwise I’d like to remove my level 2 tailor craft so I could remember which toon really has it.

Back in the day people used crafting to level their new characters. As a result I have a few characters with all the crafting partially leveled.

My personal thoughts:
-Option to remove the crafting icons from login screen
-Only show the crafting on login when it is at max level
-Move that information to the left with the character text
-Ability similar to changing crafting but instead “disables/pauses” so it doesn’t show up

Ya, I also realize it’s not that important and it’s my OCD. But it feels so cluttered when I roll over my characters and see the list of crafting that character has.

The compact option for your Bank could be useful, but it probably wont happen for the Guild Bank. Mainly because of the way Guild Banks saves and stores items. Correct me if I am wrong, but the Guild Bank is set up to store each stack/item you put in there as it’s one unique slot, because of log and server purposes or something like that. That’s why even if you have a stack of 2 Mango Pies and another stack of 10 Mango Pies you can’t just move them on top of each other to make 12 Mango Pies, you have to go through the hassle of withdrawing both stacking and then putting them back in. So they would need to change the building blocks of the way the Guild Bank to add that option for Guild Banks.

That being said I wouldn’t say no to having that option if it ever came out. I would also love to have a “hide/show bank tabs” for our personal banks similar to the “hide/show bags” of our inventory.

I would like the grid idea or 8 characters at one time.
Also a manual drag and drop to order the characters, would be the best compromise. Everyone altoholic has their own way/preference to the sort order. So if people want favorite they can list them at the front. Or people who do daily rounds can just go in order of their list.

I had hoped that the three new mini’s in the locker would be another 3 pack for 300 gems. Seemed like a perfect price. But like last year when we got the baby mini’s they are 400 a piece. I just don’t understand who makes these prices up? On top of that some of us are still waiting for some of the mini’s to be re-released.

I do wish they were in a 3 pack for at most 500 Gems, but I wasn’t that hopeful. As you said I remembered how the Spring 2013 minis were 400 a piece, so I figured that they might do that again. At least it’s just 3 and not 5 this year, as much as I love minis 5 at 500 each is pushing it on how much I personally like to spend in a month on GW2.

There never was a boot system before so I doubt there is now. Have you ever done big events like Teq in the past? It might just be an issue of your computer/internet not being about to handle all of the bodies and skills. Just to be safe I usually turn my graphics down when doing Teq/Karka/Triple Wurm, since I sometimes crash when everyone is dpsing at the same time.

I would love a chance at getting some of the past town clothes that they removed since they are becoming tonics/regular armor. I already bought some of them but now that they have more of a use I’ll buy more if they put them back up. I doubt it will happen but still it would be cool.

Post on megaserver states there most likely will not be any changes to WvW.

If you don’t mind deleting your character I would go for it. Servers differences are not going to mean much after the patch as far as PvE goes. Like you said the megaserver isn’t going to change up WvW, so might as well pick a WvW server you like.

On the last day of Flame and Frost dungeon I sold all my mats to get enough gold to buy the mini Molten Firestorm, since I didn’t get it after farming the dungeon the last 3 days.

Mistake part 1: I bought the mini for 110g because I was thinking it is going to stay that high after the event or go higher so better get it now….I was wrong it dropped to 60-70g after the event and stayed that way for 6 months.

Mistake part 2: I took him out of the tp on the wrong character so I deposited the mini and swapped characters. When I went to take out the mini I see that I had not 1 but 2 Firestorm minis…I got him as a drop in the dungeon without ever noticing!!!

To this day i still have have 2 mini Firestorms. Mostly because I wasn’t going to sell him for 70g when I spent 110g on him. Now his price is ~100g, and a month ago I noticed he spiked to 200g, but I’m still not going to sell him out of shame. He will be a reminder to me to check my bank before I buy, plus it’s a funny story.

Ya I noticed that too. Makes sense to me why they increased it, at least to me. They want to feature them 2x because it’s a high ticket item. At the same time they want to encourage you to buy it the first time it pops up for future sales that’s why it is not the same price or cheaper. Plus if it was cheaper everyone who bought on the 3rd would want a refund.

I don’t find it false adverting. Technically one of the definitions of a sale is the act of selling a product/service. A sale doesn’t have to be discounted by definition. Regardless of that, Anet never said that the past items were going to discounted as well.

I have mixed feelings about the cap. It is great that a newbie a year down the line will not be forever behind due to the Dailys they just have to make up ground with the LS stuff. PLus those who are all about AP pts can relax once they reach the cap.

The downside IMO is that it sucks they choose to cap it at it’s max. I wish they would’ve choose to have a daily cap instead, so that once you get your daily chest you get no more daily points. That way we will always get AP points. I will probably still do the daily for the rewards when I reach the cap but I will now just target the easy ones to get it over with instead of enjoying doing them.

It wouldn’t be too hard to set it up with a daily cap. They can make similar to the LS progress achievements. All the achievements will reward no points themselves. Instead there will be a progress achievement It’ll have 5 layers and give 1 point each layer. Once you get to layer five it gives you the achievement chest reward.

I still have a year before I hit cap, but I would like to think I would still be playing in that time, and with the max cap I have mixed feelings.

Completely forgot about character expansions, so I think I will change my guesses

• Upgrade extractor -or- Booster multi pack
• Black Lion Salvage kit I doubt this will since we 28 is the copper-fed
• Braham weapon skins was up the 27th
• A few town clothes on sale
• Bag & Bank slot expansions
• Character Slot expansions

I am kind of surprised that Character slots or Bank slots haven’t been up yet. Those go up in almost every sale.

I said 1 crystal = 5 charges. So your 10 crystals would be 50 charges so you will still get your 10 changes.

I mean I get why they want it all to be 1 charge for everything. It’s just a bit upsetting when I see 1 Crystal = 3 Stones. I will get over it in a few months though.

I don’t get the request for a refund….You are going to get 1 charge for each Crystal and 1 charge for every 3 stones. Unless you have a bunch of below 80 transmutes to do, you will loose nothing and GAIN charges you never had if you hoarded your stones…..

I do still have a few characters below 80 so I’m curious to find out how ANet’s new system will handle lower level transmutes.

Personally, I am more upset at the exchange rate. 1 Crystal does not equal 3 Stones, it should be closer to 1-5 or 1-10. Imo they should have made 1 stone = 1 charge, 1 crystal = 5 charges, all lvl 80 gear requires 5 charges to change. That way all players below lvl 80 aren’t mad and the exchange of 1-5 is fair.

If we are throwing out guesses I say

I agree with the op people who bought Crystals should be refunded if they wish. Yes I realize that it will be a charge which is the same thing, but the stones are also going to be a charge at a 3-1 rate.

Why is it unfair well you are saying that 1 crystal = 3 stones. That’s just plain ridiculous stones are super common and crystals are not. It’s a big slap in the face to players who bought and stocked up on Transmutation crystals for their lvl 80 gear since they turn around and make it so 3 stones equals that.

It is just not cool there have been a few threads out there for asking for a way to make stones upgrade-able and everyone of them agrees that it would need a good conversation rate and that 3 or 5 stones is just not the same as one crystal.

I highly doubt they will do this because in the future, people will just think that sales items will be bundled up again shortly after, if they ask enough on the forums.

And if they dont do it now, people, who missed out on stuff this time around, will be sure to log in every day next time.

Hate to say it but I am going to have to agree with Wanze here. It would be a bad practice for them to have a huge sale at the end of this one and not do it for future sales events. People would complain that they waited for the big sale to buy stuff but it never came.

That being said they did do a repeat sale event last spring for the mini baby animals. Each animal was only up for limited time for one week and during the last week they had all of them up.

Transmutation Splitters will work for what you are looking for. Downside is that it is 300 gems each.

Edit: Misread your #2 I’m not sure how it would split it for you. For sure you will get the second skin the other item however I’m not sure. I’ve heard people say it both ways and I never tested it to know which is right, but you will either get the original helm before transmute stuff or the last helm before you did the last skin.

I created this March Sales Record thread so that people can know what was already on sale. If I were to guess it is likely that they will come back on of the days. Afterall this month we have seens Rox’s, Kasmeer’s, and today Majory’s so it would be rather odd for them not to include Braham’s one of the days.

Pelion, -you- dont understand basic economics. Economics isn’t about finding the absolute max you can make a profit on, thats not how real trade works, despite what some fools may think.

1) Jute scrapes worth 95 copper? come on man, thats completely ridiculous, I can get 20 of those in 20 minutes, and you wanna justify that price? give me a break. Copper you might be able to justify as 30+ bronze because its time based and thusly more limited, but 95 is just insane.

First off getting 20 in 20mins is like ~1s a minute which is nothing. There are far better things to do, such as a world boss and you get a rare that’s ~25silver +items, or dungeon which is ~30min for 50s +items.

Second jute is based on rng you have to get the drop from a mob, while copper ore is not. You can easily see on your map where copper is and you ALWAYS get copper when you harvest a copper node.

Third correct me if I’m wrong but a lvl 80 doesn’t get lvl 10 armor drops. So the only way a lvl 80 get’s jute is by farming the salvage items like the rags, so what we have to reroll a lower character to farm jutes….fat chance it’s not worth it.

2) Now, let me give you the most basic thing you can get. ITEMS PRICES ARE BASED ON THE COST IT HAS TO GET THEM, NOT MARKET VALUE.

No items are based off of what people are willing to pay for. Doesn’t matter how rare or how hard it is to get an item if people don’t like it or want it, it’s going to be cheaper then an item with the same rarity that people like.

Now, since jute scraps are gotton from salavage, their price should be based on what they are refined from, not the other way around. (B in this case is a more refined form of A, so A is the price setter, not B )

You are buying the said item for what you get not the item itself so you have it backwards. B would be the price setter since you are buying for B, not for the A. A better example would be bags you are buying the bag for the items in the bag, so the items found in the bag are the price setters. The cost of the bag will never be higher then the most expensive item in the bag and it will never be lower then the cheapest item in the bag it will be at an average cost of all the items in the bag. So the items in the bag are the price setters.

So…what would you charge for one of the most common item in the game? Do I need to keep going. Again, this item is so easy to get, no one in their right mind would feel -good- selling this thing.
So yes, You’ll forgive me if I take my common sense, critical thinking, and knowledge of market that understands what market value actually is(NOT a price setter), somewhere where I don’t have to feel guilty everytime I sell something.

1st off it’s only a common item for low level characters.
2nd there is a high demand for it since people with like 5 lvl 80s don’t feel like leveling alts they just power level them most of the way with crafting. I believe it was cinnamon you mentioned before which was 1c well that’s because it’s a common item and there is no demand so that makes sense.

You really shouldn’t have any guilt for selling an item for 1 silver. Jute is worth that ~1 silver to a lot of people just look at the number of bid offers. It’s simple marketing of supply and demand.

Well, actually, Marjory and Kasmer both got full armor releases.

The Trickster Light(F) is the armor Marjory wears. Phoenix (F) is Kasmeer’s outfit, albeit slightly tweaked I think. Both of which I am shocked at not seeing more often on non-Sylvari humanoids.

I think he means the weapon skins. Braham has a mace and shield skin and Marjory has a Dagger and Axe skin.

First off there is the March sale going on so I would wait to buy them til they go on sale since that will save you a bunch. Past sales had the crystals at 20% off and 25% off, so for the 10 pack instead of 360gems you would need only 288gems (or less if it goes for 25%).

As for when to buy the gems itself is tricky since the sale is making the rate jump all over. You probably want to exchange the gold →gems before that day since the Crystals are a popular item and it might spike that day. Like Behllagh said Spidy can help you spotting daily trends or seeing what the month average is. Overall if I was exchanging right now, I would bite the bullet if I can get 100gems for ~8.4 gold (that’s around 25g for the 288 gems).

^all of that and…
The buff quickness (not speed boost) can speed up the stomp/finish, such as a Mesmers Timewrap. So it’s possible that someone who starts after you can finish before you do.

Toxic skins would be a possibility to show up in the sale, even through it was tied to the LS. After all the the Rox and Kasmeer are kind of tied to the LS but they keep popping back up.

Chop it All & Bone Pick I doubt we will see them again. We will probably have unlimited tools in the March sale but it would be for the most recent “series 3” tools, so the Nightmare axe & Sprocket pick. In the future there will probably be other skins/animations. That being said it’s not completely of the table about getting the “series 2” since they did have a 3 pack sale for the “series 1” in the past so they could do something like that for the future.

Like Asteal said the quartz node might become availbe through the LS meta when the Bazaar comes back around in July.

I feel like it is worth noting that the new skins, mini pack, finisher was released on Day 4 as well. I know I instanta bought 2 of the mini pack when I saw that. Granted I personally didn’t convert gold to gems I am willing to bet a lot of people did for the new items.

On a side note I feel like they jumped the gun on the key sale. If they had that sale after the new weapon skins they might have sold a lot more imo.

The days are the dates.
“Day 1” was March 1st.
“Day 2” was March 2nd.
All the way to Day 31 as March 31st.

I won’t speak for Shades.4572 and how (s)he words items in text, but for the image I’ll continue to update, I’d rather not include the day of the week on it as the days of the week are not the same for everyone due to location, just as the date is not the same for everyone. Knowing there are 31 days of sales, and 31 days in March, and Day 1 was on March 1st (server time), it seemed easier for everyone to just state the current day’s sale item.

Agreed I am just going to stick with labeling as Day. Labeling it as march instead could be confusing since with time zones it stretches across 2 days for a lot of people.

You can upload the images if you like, but you might want to think about combining them into the like weekly images since 31 images will be a lot lol. I did a little paint magic before you added in your day 2 image. Perhaps the images/format on the gemstores home page? They would look nice side by side if you do your images by weekly.

Edit: So I messed around a bit more in paint before going to bed and started the week line up (or until like ten are in the row). Considering how I really need sleep it didn’t turn out too horrible. Personally I think setting up the pictures like that would work better since we will be dealing with 31 sales. Anyway great idea about adding pictures in there, on a side not though you can keep updating pictures if you want I will prob fall behind updating the pictures since that takes longer then typing in what the sale is.

Honestly I was thinking the same thing but how the 5 is probably set at the wrong cost. Since 1 @ 196 is 15% off the normal 125, and 25 @ 1785 is 15% off the normal 2100.

So 15% off the 5 pack should be 382 not 292.
