This is a FTP game paid expansions are the way to go imo not cobbled together gamebreaking “free” content. (I say 0 because they shouldn’t be used to bring in more exclusion and elitism)

The sad thing is, this game is already full of exclusion and elitism towards players who enjoy vertical progression, and it’s posts like yours which prove it.

elitists go both ways.

You deserve it. After all the things we’ve had to put up with vertical progression types…. we finally find a game that strays away from this model.. ONLY TO BE RUINED AGAIN.

I’m sick of vertical progression. You want it so bad?… Play a game that has it already built in.

I am starting to hate GW2 thanks to the ‘progression’ crowd.

So, decided I want to try out the mesmer.

Just wanted to know.. what are your opinions on the class? Fun? Easy or hard to play? How are they sitting right now in PvE and PvP?

How does the Greatsword feel on a mesmer? Viable?

How about sword/pistol?

They seem like fun, so I thought i’d at least get some ideas on the players point of view.

Actual Raids or Mindless Zergs? Whats better?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Sin.8174

Mindless zergs allow people to kitten out…go mining nodes…stand around do nothing except tap and kill a few enemies and get the reward.

Thats the other thing thats bad about this system, lazy people not doing their share. Raids at leat do better to fight this part.

Typical type of comments I left WoW for.

You tell people to try to be grown up.. and yet you spout of something like this. Don’t get the logic.

I’d rather not have WoW-style Raids here. I prefer the ‘mindless zerg’ as you call it.

No gear score checks. No listening to ‘OHMAGAWD MY DEEPS YO’.

Just good ol’ fashioned fun.

Newbcakes to the class

in Guardian

Posted by: Sin.8174

Sin.8174

Hello there.

Newb Guardian. Just made one fresh tonight.

Okay first off to give you an idea of how i’ve played before:

I main a thief (have since release, regardless of OP qq. it’s my favorite class in any game) so I’m use to glass cannon builds with stealth as survivability. I don’t get hit a whole lot, and I’m constantly on the move. (I.E No ’HS Spam’)

How different is Guardian going to be? Can I (forgive my poor wording) ’tank’? Like.. handle 3+ monsters at once with ease?

How viable are they in pvp?

Okay, the second part of my ponderings...

I want a greatsword and to use a single handed sword+shield.

Are these weapon sets viable in any form? I just like the look of them. *shrugs* Seems classic and fun to play like this. Anyone have experience with these sets? Are they viable solo or in group play?

Any tips you can give me?

Appreciate any responses!

Just did a search on youtube called ’heartseeker spam’.

Every video is 1+ months old, (aside from ONE video). Thus, is was BEFORE the nerf to HS.

HS spam worked on bad pvp players who were glass cannons or didn’t know a thing about dodging or timing. Now? it’s a laughable tactic.

PvE wise Warrior and Gaurdian are probably the easiest. Fairly straight forward and can do a lot of damage/buff with little effort.

Engineer and Elementalist are probably the hardest. You have to do a ton of switching of kits/elements depending on the situation and the best DPS build for Eng w/grenades is fairly complicated to use on the move. Although Eng grenade spam underwater is fairly OP.

Ele’s are a pain >.<

I started one, but quickly moved onto a necromancer. LOL Will probably revisit Elementalist and Engineer at a later time, when I can sit back and focus on their plethora of abilities.

I have multiple classes. Warriors do not need to move as much. Nor do guardians lol...

I play D/D thief and no, I can’t just spam ’1’ unless I want to sit there all day trying to down something. You actually have to move around a mob, especially when trying to land backstabs.

We also use our utilities and heals just like everyone else.

Take your personal hate for the class to the thief forums like everyone else, and stop spreading misinformation to people asking for help.

i would say thief.

you can go to the thief forum right now and see a p/p video where all the guy does is spam 3-3-3-3 and he still does well.

it doesnt get much easier than that.

I have also heard however that thief dies really fast if you are not paying attention.

I do like the medium armor aesthetic best; but I am apprehensive to play a really twitch class when I am already having a hard time keeping up with the pace of the game.

Fritz does not play a thief, guarenteed. he’s the type that sees a ‘Cheese’ PvE/PvP thief video and screams NERF.

If you are a beginner, stay away from thief until you get comfortable with the dodge commands. Thief gameplay is one that’s constantly on the move, about situational awareness, and yes, they have lower survivability than most when it comes to armor.

However, there are some nice skills that help with survivability in PvE. We have a variety of invisibility inducing skills that can be chained together as long as we stay out of combat. (Makes it nice for bypassing some tough, clustered areas)

We also have amny tools for a quick escape when we’re about to be wtfpwned by a big monster. However, using these skills appropriately, managing initiaive, and knowing monster animations is a big part in whether or not you’ll survive.

Once mastered however, thief is a blast to play.

Thoughts on Ascended Gear? [Merged threads]

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Sin.8174

Sin.8174

It’s not even out yet. We don’t know everything about them. God I can really hate the MMO community sometimes. But yes, I am excited for it.

THat article was 100% clear cut.

It’s gear progression. There’s no sugar coating it. They’re adding items with betetr stats, and will continue to do so with future releases. It’s starting as a ring and back piece, and then moving onto other pieces of armor.

It’s even stated... Legendaries are going to be made to be on par with this gear once the Ascended weapons are released.... As this is the HIGHEST tier of gear going to be created.

How can people not understand what was written? Again, it’s clear cut as plain as day.

I HATE dungeons. Can not stand them at all. Yet now I have to grind them just to get the latest gear to stay competitive in WvW. People think these stat differences are minor and won’t matter, but that’s not true. Stats always matter in PvP, no matter how small a difference.

I am not happy with this change. Great for new gear, but screw stat inflation.

Im totally excited.. I have no idea how people play this game but I seriously have nothing to do. I need to keep progress in order to have fun, this sounds like it might be what I’m looking for. I don’t know why people are against progression. Anet I don’t know how this will turn out but this is a brave move and I respect that. Believe it or not, most MMO players need to keep progressing otherwise they quit.

You want gear progressive games.. play one. There are plenty around. The nice thing about GW2 was the idea of no stat inflation. That the game was based on cosmetics. There are plenty of games that cater to your needs. Why can’t there be a game that caters to those that don’t want gear progression?

Price is fine for the 30th time. (Seriously, use the forum search function)

It’s something to work for. If you find it bland, don’t buy it. If you’re doing it for the achievement, then prepare to save money. It’s not hard to make gold to begin with.

These are skins. You don’t buy them for stats. So no, its fine that they’re rare. I have 2 chest pieces of t3 and I’m already back up to 35 gold.

Also, I should point out that full sets don’t always even look great. Mix and match pieces that you like to save yourself some coin.

I don’t get how people have a hard time with acquiring funds in this game. >.<

Don’t be so fast as to report them … fyi, there are guys like me who sometimes get dc’d … nightly … at least 3-4 times for various reasons (pressing down on a certain area on my laptop too hard in my excitement in combat, or trying to pan my camera but dragging the screen down to the go to desktop area- for some reason my game client and video card translate this to a black screen with only the guildwars cursor appearing) … this is isolated to me. But I’ve done his when downed by accident, when running and looking at the map, hell in a golem. Not entirely intentional. If you see it happening a lot with a server (then ya, someone is on their promoting that type of behaviour) – not going to name names. But just because you don’t get a kill should not equal a direct report on a persons account. fyi I am from darkhaven and to my knowledge we don’t have any one who does this or cares to do this because when you drop, you likely have to queue up for eb or the hot map again.

It’s too rampant to not be reported. Sorry if you have legitimate issues, but 90% of the people doing it more than likely do not have legitimate issues.

It’s always “convenient” when someone disappears JUST BEFORE they’re about to die.

They’re ruining it for everyone.

So I say report away until support gets so sick of seeing these reprots that they add a timer or something better to prevent exploitative cheaters.

The real issue is the ones who ALT F4 before you kill them

Report them. If you’re certain it’s someone using alt+f4 (and not a thief using invisi or the aoe invisi that stealths others) Report them. If i’m fighting, I usually right click people and get ‘report’ window open so i can get their account name. This way, if they suddenly vanish, I can send the name into support.

There was a thread a few weeks back where someone brought up this issue, and even encouraged it, and several people admitted it. Reported every single one of them.

This is an underhanded, and exploitative tactic that should be reported every time it’s seen.

Try this on for size::

If you approach GW2 as a standard 60$ Action/Adventure Console game (Skyrim) w/online co-op ~ then you’ll be pretty satisfied with your purchase and how GW2 caters to that mindset.

IE: Get in, play.. get out, walk away and wait for the next batch of DLC (expansion).

However, if you approach GW2 as an MMO ~ odds are, you’ll be disappointed for several reasons.

Standardized Loot / Character Progression / Combat::
1. Everything is set up so, no one really ever feels powerful.
2. Lack of trinity means, you don’t need anyone and are not needed by anyone.

The staples of an MMO are designed around creating a community from the players and promoting them to work together. ~ in this aspect, GW2 fails as an MMO.

Granted people can argue, saying that GW2 is amazing and is better off without the Trinity and having to rely on other players.

They then point to Dynamic events and how you “need” other people to kill mobs like Balthazar, Dragons, ect…

But do you really? are the faceless masses anymore “personal” than having a bunch of henchmen NPC to help you finish the event?

Think about it ~ we don’t know the names of other people at those events, because we’re not there for them ~ we don’t need to talk, we don’t need to socialize or even organize ~ we only care about the “chance” at uber loot (perhaps the precursor?) and to farm Karma/Gold.

Since those bosses are nothing more than HP sponges that hit like trucks (no tactics) ~ people just sit back and spam, leaving the few people that agro the mob to be chased by him, while they take pot shots at it and if someone gets low on HP they throw down their AOE heals.

Basically, GW2 tries to mimic the Trinity without creating a “need” for people to do anything more than zerg the content.

This trivializes going back to old content while being “leveled down” in that you see no point as you could “experience” the same content at your own level and at least get appropriate gear/loot.

Even the dungeons are designed this way with their “Corpse run, waypoints”.

In all senses of the word “community” ~ it seems that GW2 fails.

This includes the free 24 hour server transfers that shred any hopes of a well built community as well at the ability to join multiple guilds, and yet refuse to put in a multi-chat for each of them, requiring you to “represent” one guild at a time, in order to talk to other members of that guild.

The same goes for World Vs World ~ you cannot see enemy players names.. and there are no scoreboards dedicated to the very skilled or elite of the “leaders” ~ in fact, if you wish to be a “leader” you need only spend 100 gold on a tome to become a commander, there are no other prerequisites or skill based requirements.

IE: No one knows who you are or why you’re deserving to be a “leader” ~ they only see an impersonal title.

When I talk to my friends of old, and why they use to play MUD’s, Asherons Call and Ultima Online ~ they always talk about the “community” and how back then, those games WERE Facebook. As in, a place for like minded people to gather, socialize and enjoy the craft.

GW2 doesn’t do that, and in my opinion is why WoW is still “king” ~ despite their outdated graphics and kung fu panda hijinks..

If you’ve ever heard someone shout “FOR THE HORDE!” ~ you can see without a shadow of a doubt that the game inspires and promotes a sense of community… for better or worse.

At the end of the day, can you really say that GW2 IS an MMO anymore than League of Legends, Team Fortress 2 or Playing Skyrim while talking to your friends on skype?

opinion =/= fact?…

Artificial in the illusion of ’being stronger’.. you know, the inflated ego boost that coems with constant grind?

I like GW2’s system. I prefer skins and other content that doesn’t concentrate on the constant need on ’keeping up with the jonses’.

Tired of games that constantly raise the cap every time they bring out new content. First game I ever played now has a cap of 175 levels... it’s excessive. 80 levels is more than fine.

Don’t need artificial number inflations for more content. Don’t need to ’feel stronger’... compared to newbs. There are games for flexing the E-[censored].

I already make new alts, sooo... this is a pro how? And how would no new crafting tiers be a bad thing? Don’t need ’tiers’ to make more gear. They can introduce new recipes for new skins.

We don’t need more levels. Additional content for a variety of levels would be nicer.

Why I think teleport costs are unreasonably hight

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Sin.8174

Sin.8174

Anyone arguing that they should be able to “play the way they want to play” in regards to wanting to port all over the place, you’re taking the phrase way too literally. It’s really “play the way you want to play… within limits.” You don’t get to make the rules. The port prices are there to make you think about your actions instead of just porting willy-nilly.

And all the complaints about porting within a map… if the price is too much for you, just run there. I never go on those crazy farming grinds, I explore all aspects of the game (pvp, dungeons, exploration, etc), but I’m smart with my gold and assets. So 1.5s to port within a map is nothing for me if I’m feeling particularly lazy. There needs to be a penalty, a trade off, for the convenience of the port.

I honestly see port price complaints as people screaming, “I refuse to become a smarter player and just want everything to be easier and free.” If you’re having troubles with port prices, you may want to reevaluate how you spend and earn your gold. It reminds me of people that immediately scream for nerfs on something before they’ve even put the time to learn if there’s a counter for something (i.e. bulls rush, frenzy, 100b warriors; easily counterable, but a lot of people refused to use their brains).

Perhaps your attitude is others aren’t playing right. It’s a common attitude with MMORPG elitists. Let me guess you spend a million hours playing. Everyone else who doesn’t is a noob who doesn’t put in the time to play right? Or is it just fanboyism where your precious devs can do no wrong?

I know it can be worked around, but the prices scale incongruently after level 60. Maybe people who play 14 hours a day can mitigate the imbalance better. However, its still there. Really dude, get off your high horse.

BAM! And just like that the argument has become nullified! May want to rethink your arguements before resorting to throwing around ‘fanboyism’ or any other lacking insults.

Also. 1-2 hours tops farming. 3-4 days worth of waypoint useage. Some of us still have jobs and get small play times throughout the week, and STILL have the ability to support travel costs.

‘Unable’ and ‘Lazy’ are two different things.

Why is there not a PvP Server?

This thread should just be closed. It’s pointless as a PvP enthusiast to ask for anything like this. PvE players will come in and stomp over an idea that doesn’t even affect them in the slightest. Throwing in their opinions as fact as to why it wouldn’t work (DE’s broken... really?) :/

Let’s not forget insulting the majority of pvp players by claiming they’re just there to kill people not expecting it... (PvP server implies you’re going to be ganked.. so expect it.)

It’s hopeless really. Wish we could have an OWPvP server, but probably never going to happen. -.-

The problem isn’t that I don’t want a PvP server. (Hell, if I could have multiple characters on different servers I would try one out if it didn’t turn out to be as broken as I think it would be.)
The problem is that you’re asking for a PvE focused game to rewrite it’s entire design philosophy for a demographic of players they weren’t advertising to in the first place.

Yes, Dynamic Events would be broken (I suppose this is only my opinion, but it’s founded on prior knowledge of how a free for all PvP server functions), yet so much more would have to be uprooted and mutilated or taken out entirely for a PvP environment to work.

Heart quests? Imagine getting one of the tasks that require you to pick up one of terrible weapon bundles with a single function meant for completing that task, with a pathetically weak attack as a second skill? You’re going to be at an obvious disadvantage if Johnny McStabsalot catches you with your pants down and starts wailing on you while you’re in the middle of some animation and trying to drop the bundle.

I suppose that kind of unfair conduct is expected in a PvP server, but then how are you going to level if doing heart quests and dynamic events are just asking for trouble? How are you going to grind up gold? Keep in mind that the current server transfer policy is entirely temporary, and at some point down the line we’re all going to be locked to servers, leaving you on an island where all the coconut trees are surrounded by legions of psychopaths wanting to carve you up like a thanksgiving turkey.

Guild Wars 2 is, in it’s very core, a "carebear" MMO as quite a few others advocating for open PvP have mentioned. It’s meant for casual play with a few modes like WvW and sPvP put out for those that occasionally feel the need for something more engaging. I highly doubt ArenaNet would be willing to put in the necessary resources to please you and everyone else who wants open world PvP when they weren’t targeting your demographic in the first place. I can only suggest that you and everyone else find a different game, as your $60 was evidently not well spent here.

As a hardcore PvP player let me let you in on a little secret...

Getting ganked is going to happen. It’s not a case of IF... it’s WHEN.

DE’s would be fine. Alliances of guilds could fight over DE’s. Not only this, but while battling, anyone tagging mobs will get credit to begin with. It would be no different than the DE’s in WvW... other than the objective in question.

Same goes for heart quests.. they’re not impossible to complete with a challenge. And so what if you’re ganked when you’ve picked up a crappy item that replaces your weapons? You can easily drop said weapon and get back into the fight. I’ve been on the receiving end of a bad gank more times than I can shake a stick at...

However, it only fueled rivalry even more. It’s a great community builder in the ways of forging alliances and rivalries. It creates a stronger community. I’ve made a lot of friends and enemies this way. Heck, I’ve made friends from enemies while trying to take on a larger enemy. It makes things more alive. WvW doesn’t allow this.. you’re either talking nice to your own teammates, or screaming at them. There’s no sense of pvp community in the game, aside from the forums.

As for how you would level? There are many ways to level.

1: Story Quests
2: DE’s
3: Hearts
4: World Pvp
5: Crafting
6: Farming Nodes
7: Old fashioned mob grinding

Some jerk camping a DE you want/need? Call in guildies. Call in friends. Ask map chat. A PvP server means taking care of problems via PvP solutions. There shouldn’t be transfers for these servers. You roll on a PvP server with the intention and understanding of the PvP server’s ways. Why I believe every PvP server in every game should have a warning : "DO NOT JOIN IF YOU DO NOT LIKE BEING GANKED’.

As for you ’find a new game’ ....That is highly rude. Did I say my money wasn’t well spent? Did I ONCE say I didn’t like GW2? Did I say I wasn’t enjoying myself?

No.

Love this game. Doesn’t mean I can’t want something. WoW didn’t start with PvP. It now has PvP servers. GW can do the same in time.

GW2 is ultra casual. World PvP is not ultra casual.

That’s it really.

Actually you are probably Ultra Casual and that is ok, this game suits you. We, the Real PvPer’s want the same equality. We actually love this game as well and would thoroughly enjoy it more if they opened a “True Red Faction Based Server”.

Why is the world filled with people who some how believe that it is necessary to stop others from obtaining a goal when they have zero claim or anything at stake? Don’t try to hold us down, instead step aside or maybe even assist in what we would like to have. I would do no less for you.

I’d sooner not see it as a faction based server. I’d rather free for all.

This way when people annoy the crap out of you while farming, you can actually do something about it. Faction based PvP is terrible.. Especially when one faction’s numbers are greater. My first MMO was a FFA themed one with a switch for turning on your pvp when you wanted to attack (although you can be ganked with it off), and it was great. I went to WoW and felt what faction themed PvP was like… hated it.

Hello.

I just started a newbie necro and hit level 11. i decided to pick up gear.. but I’m not sure what I want to do…

I was thinking about going condition build.. but.. how good is it?

I play a thief as a main, so I’m used to glass cannon builds with: Power/Precision/Crit.

What should I be looking for as a necro? I want to kill things at a decent pace with some form of survivability. Currently, I have a hard time soloing things on my necro, that I could dance circles around on my thief.

Currently using staff, but I find it kind of slow going as a low level. One main attack and the rest on cool down. What else should I be trying?…

Right now I’m looking for a PVE build, as I plan to run Arah a lot later on. Any advice?

Why I think teleport costs are unreasonably hight

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Sin.8174

Disagree. Costs are fine.

My Gold intake vs Loss is a huge margin apart.

When i need to make gold, I hit Orr for maybe an hour. Two max. I farm only nodes and hit up events along the way. Casual play... Make more than enough coin for travel.

It’s not hard to farm a new nodes of ore or logs. It’s not hard to make money if you really want to.

That’s not what the OP wanted, though. He wanted a full-on, no-holds-barred open PvP world where you could attack pretty much anyone (from his OP, I think he was looking at it as race-v-race), at any time. No “flagging for pvp”.

You still can with switches.

That’s not an “open PvP server” though. If you have to flag to fight, you’ll just have people who NEVER flag, and treat it like a PvE server.

/////////////

If it’s a server where you have to flag to participate in “open PvP”, it’s not a “PvP” server. It’s just like EVERY PvE server in WoW or RIFT (as an example) where anyone can flag for PvP and attack/be attacked, or turn it off and “hide”.

Incorrect. Played a game with OWPvP switches. Just because you have your pvp switch off, doesn’t mean you can’t be attacked.

You can attack anyone else with their pvp off. You just can’t initiate an attack with pvp off. See the difference?

This system works well. just need the proper game for it. While it may be costly or not worthwhile for GW2 to do this, in theory it could work rather well.

The reason people tend to mention the “lowbie ganking” aspect of open PvP is because that’s what people remember about PvP servers. It’s just human nature to remember bad events more clearly. Like in WoW, people never remembered all the good, competent hunters they’d grouped with, but they all remembered the “huntard” that “ninja looted” some great item, and so ALL hunters got a bad rep.

Open PvP can work IF the game is set up to handle it. GW2 isn’t. Adding an open PvP server for this game would be a nightmare, because you WOULD have tons of gankers running around giggling and slaughtering people for the hell of it. Oh, you’re doing a DE that fails if the npc dies? Kekeke, looks like you’re gonna fail this one, cause I’m going to gank you and let the mobs kill the NPC, lolz!

And how would the “group DEs” work? If it’s open PvP, that means aoe attacks would hit EVERYONE. Heck, even single-target attacks would hit other players if they got between you and the mob. Would those events simply have to be removed from the game? They’d be all but impossible to do in an open PvP environment.

So yeah, between having to restructure the entire game to fit open PvP, those servers typically having fairly low populations to begin with (PvP servers are generally some of the lowest-pop servers), and people who would just go there to be jerks and gank everything, it would be a nightmare.

It’s just not worth the developer time or effort to implement.

Uh… what? No. if there was open world PvP… there would have to still be switches for turning pvp on or off.

So if you’re doing events, you can switch it off to avoid ‘accidents’ like that.

As for the other scenario? So what? THat’s how OWPvP works. You PK or get PKed. I’ve been ganked. Camped. Frustrated. However! If it was an OWPVP server.. people would expect things like this. People would also be prepared. Level scaling. In WvW the concept already works. While someone already 80 with the best gear has a better advantage, lower level players still have a chance.

Not sure what games you’ve played in the past, but those that i’ve played, that have features OWPVP, the pvp weren’t low pop. heck even look at WoW… some of its best PvE players are all on FULL PvP realms.

I’ll just gear up in zergy PvP BGs and Nexus events with really OP gear and then own ze undergeared noobs.

Swap out “PvP BGs and Nexus events” with whatever is the quickest way to level in the game and that statement can be applied to every PvP server in every game.

I like a good open PvP game, and I’ve been the kitten who kills lower level players as well as the person who protects people. But the reality is that there’s a certain type of person who labels themselves as “hardcore” (this is not all people calling themselves hardcore, but the ones I’m talking about always seem to identify with hardcores) but actually just wants to kill people who have zero chance of fighting back due to a combination of gear and level differences, and this type of person is why it becomes about zerging through your enemies low level zone.

I agree with you, there are definitely two types of OwPvPers out there.

Also another point that occurred to me is the idea of factionless/FFA PvP. Since we don’t have factions in this game, that’s the type of OwPvP we’d have if ANet created a PvP server.

Now I know people from older games will argue that it’s a great idea and works well, and I certainly had high hopes for TERA when I heard it was FFA PvP. But the reality was not as I had hoped. There was actually less PvP because people were afraid of the ramifications. Namely, their reputations and the reputation of their guild. People were afraid to attack others because they didn’t want to be labeled a PKer so there was very little actual PvP going on. Then you had problems of too many safe zones, big guild zergs, and the massive amount of PvE grind required to play the game, so actual random, fun OwPvP was not really happening.

But not to get off topic, this is GW2 and I like GW2’s current system. Also I don’t think it’d fit into the Dev’s game design for this game anyway.

I blame this on the new generation of oversensitive gamers. About 6-7 years ago, I got to play a F2P MMO that had open world PvP. It did not have any factions.

Any player could be ganked regardless of if their pvp was on or off. Players who ganked gained a red name, and lowered stats. If you killed players with red names who were your level or higher, you’d gain a blue name.

This sort of system created a functional and fun style of OWPVP.

As for guilds? They thrived on this. There were great alliances, and players weren’t afraid to attack one another. Guilds also had respect (to an extent). It always bums me out to see people going off on how WPvP is just about ganking lowbies, won’t work without factions, or will fail because people are afraid. WPvP can work with the right rule sets introduced.

I wanted Wpvp in GW2. It made me disappointed to see that there wasn’t going to be any included, but for now WvW will have to do.

PvP Exploit or Working as Intended?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Sin.8174

That does not sound like working as intended.

No player should suddenly become invulnerable (without use of a natural game effect from player skills) and still be able to attack you.

If these players are doing it repeatedly, then they’re more than likely exploiting something. I’d file a report.

My in game ’age’is 243 hours over 49 days which is about 4.9h/d (On this main character mind you)

Most of that is from doing 100% completions of maps as I went along, or running around in WvW. Some of it’s been accumulated sitting in game while reading the forums and/or RPing.

Going from 1-80 leisurely-

--Completing 100% of all pve maps... LEISURELY
--Selling every drop I obtained
--Farming Every Node to Pop up
--Doing every story quest
--Light WvW

I’ve managed to obtain full berserker’s armor + weapons, all of my trinkets+gems, sigils+runes, the cultural tier 3 chest piece and a second beserker’s chest piece to transmute that cultural armor.

No vast grinds. I played at my own pace, taking my time. I think I’ve gone to orr 3 times after getting 100% only to farm nodes and do the jumping puzzles. Otherwise I stay in WvW and farm/kill other players.

I laughed literally when I saw a dagger called beserker’s destroyer dagger on the AH for 30g... when a normal beserker’s dagger (exact same stats) is only 2g.
