That is really awesome
No, I haven’t played any MMO’s in a long time. I fear in a month or so I won’t be playing any at all. Give this game another month and we’ll see people’s answers than, once majority have completely all the tasks and than there is nothing really left to do but PvP
Hmmm.
Hmmmmmm.
Pvp centered game…. I wonder what people will say once all the ‘pve’ players have gone back to their respective games?
Owait. Nothing. They’ll be in WvW or Spvp. :P
Absolute chaos.
This is supposed to be better? No order, no cc, crazy mobs with never ending cc running around all over the place randomly picking targets, kitten npc’s, and this is freedom?
How is dying over and over just to respawn to go back to the same fight challenging? It is just chain rezzing and chain respawning. I was expecting so much more from this, but in truth the dungeons are horrible.
I know you can jump on skype and try to chain your cc’s together but that will not stop a ranger from kicking your entire team 20 times in 1 fight because there is no solid cc.
The holy trinity was there for a reason. It worked. It gave order and an accepted challenge for each roll to accomplish. I don’t mind innovative thinking or trying new things, but it was just ridiculous. I would even say we had a good group and we did complete the dungeon, but it was even worse than any other mmo dungeon I have played.
Maybe I am missing something, but I will take my holy trinity back any day. Good thing this game is spot in for questing and pvp.
Holy trinity blows.
Just because YOU like it, doesn’t mean it’s all that great’. It’s what people are used to, and it’s why people continue to complain. This game isn’t about the holy trinity and hopefully it never will be.
There are plenty of games that cater to your holy trinity needs.
That wasn’t meant to sound rude. >_>

That makes me sad.
Wtb larger wvw maps! :P
Thanks for your answer though!
Hello!
Was curious. When you queue for WvW and choose a map… can you go to other maps via land travel? Like if I start in one map.. can I basically walk into another map? I guess what I’m asking- is it one big static world, or just little instances?
I don’t think so. I’ve heard ’rumor’ of being able to change orders later on, but I don’t know is that’s even true, or will ever happen.
Yeah, when i got to that point in my story, I did research myself. However, none of the medium armor looked very good to me (the light and heavy are nice), so I just picked whomever.
No.
First MMO was free to play. Was epic in the pvp department. No ’soulbound’ or ’binding’ equipment, so you could buy whatever you needed. Gear progression was a pain. It was just months of farming mobs and hoping to get lucky.
However, I cared little for gear progression. I played the market and bought myself a great set, and twink pvped. Was beating on players level 35-40... at level 25.
Next I moved onto WoW. Played it for a year. Game is good, but alas... pvp was a borefest. Lower level pvp, while unbalanced, was great. You get what gear you needed, locked exp and you could twink battle. No progression needed. Just mindless battles day in and day out- which I loved. 85 pvp? A joke. Huge class imbalance, dealing with super healers, and people that thought they were great because they outgeared people.
You start on the bad end, getting stomped every match until you get a decent set of purples. However, that wasn’t good enough. They had glad another tier of pvp gear. Alright, so farm that for days on end and then what? Do arenas? RBG’s? get conquest points for... right. Gear that had the exact same stats as the second tier gear.. with only a different color. Fun stuff. Then a few months later.. gear race begins again!
Then i come to GW2. I love it.
PvE- Beautiful design in the landscape. Hardly any ’invisible walls’, meaning I can go where I want, when I please. No mounts, so I get to wander about, killing things as I go along. No worries of losing my mobs thanks to the dynamic party system. No worries of losing gathering materials now that everyone gets their own. HEY! You’re dead! let me revive you! hey! You’re about to die! Let me come in and save you! It’s nice. What about dodging? I LOVE it. I love the fact that I can avoid OH CRAP attacks when a mob’s about to do huge damage. I love having to learn the skill animations so I know what to maneuver away from. It’s a lot of fun.
Community: While there are still a lot of tools out and about, I must say the community is a tad nicer. People willing to help in map chat. People going out of their way to assist others out in the world. Less trolling, less flaming... it’s more peaceful. Again, there are still idiots that like to troll or go out of their way to annoy others, but at least they can only get away with it for so long.
PvP:
Spvp: Amazing. I love that the day I brought the game home from the store I was able to create a character, and then jump right into pvp. No worry about the gear. No worry about getting stomped by someone who has all the best of the best items. I love the fact that people take care of themselves, and I don’t have to always worry about pocket healers. I enjoy having, again, the ability to dodge brutal hits, and finding ways to counter this. It was nifty to jump in and have all the gear I’d need, and all the skills and traits unlocked. Mind you, when i first jumped in, I stayed with the default layout. I did... so-so, but now that i’ve had time to practice, I can work on my own builds.
Wpvp: Probably my absolute favorite thing about the game. When I played WoW, I hated small maps in pvp. I enjoyed larger ones like IoC or AV. In pvp, I’m a bit of a lonewolf when it comes to large maps. I assist my team by taking things away from the enemy while everyone else has them occupied. I’m also a predator. My favorite aspect is world pvp in any MMO, and I was really sad to hear that there was no ’world’ pvp in GW2. However, WvW makes up for this. In its own way it is like World pvp. It’s a large scale map, plenty of objective and things to do, and includes pve elements like mobs and jumping puzzles. Often times I find myself exploring and taking out stragglers as I go along. It’s a free feeling.
In summary: No. I don’t think I could go back to ’standard’ MMO’s. GW2 is the kind of game I’ve been looking for.

Gear ’progression’ is just an illusion of getting better.
no, there are too many dyes being generated as is. Unless ANet wants to cut WAY back on the amount of dyes generated (which will mean all dyes will cost 50+ silver and rare 10+ gold), no.
Why? Because ANet only makes money when we purchase gems. Cut off one source of revenue, you lower or slow all future game development.
Most dyes cost 50 copper, the rares costing maybe 1 gold to 2-3 gold for Abyss. The current system is fine and will still saturate the market at this current rate.
Cheapest abyss in the last couple days is 4g 88s 50c It’s rising.
Hi, I can’t evade a short range jump and attack. Plz nerf it, thief too stronk.
Meme? Check.
Poor grammar? Check.
Sarcastically attempting to satirically defend his broken class without contributing anything to the conversation? Check. What compelled you to actually press “Post” after writing that abomination?
You’re bad at pvp. Just admit it.
Again to conclude:it must be nerfed and it will be nerfed,no matter how much you defend it.
So you might just learn to play with some of the other high initiative cost skills that actually require initiative monitoring and proximity caution.
2222222 ,no more as soon Anet fix the hacked acounts nonsence.
Any posts to back this up? You know, from Anet?
No?
Didn’t think so.
Umad.
level 30 and sitting on 3.5 gold
No farming. Just straight up zone completion and selling anything I get.
Its not about being lazy. I just have limited time to play because of work and other things. I dont want to spend my game time sitting around an instance spamming LFG, if dont have to.
I would rather queue up, and quest until my turn pops. Simple as that.
And yes that WAS one of the main reasons that other MMO from a galaxy far far away failed so hard. If you had been in the game and on the forums there were tons of posts and complaints about not being able to find groups for flashpoints and heroic quests. People got sick of spamming LFG and started quitting. I was one of them. It was not the only reason, but it was one of the main ones.
Laziness. Thank you.
I have limited time as well. Yet I can still get parties easily enough.
Ugh, the dungeon finder is the last thing this game needs. Right now, I am super happy that the servers have a community to them. People actually have to seek out groups (which really isn’t that hard since you can do 5 of any class).
Maybe a dungeon finder to the extent of ONLY searching for other people looking for a group would be nice.
All of that automated b/s that other games have, I do not want to see here...
Then you don’t have to use it, the rest of us can use the dungeon finder and find a group much quicker and much more efficient than you will ever be able to.
The server’s community? People are mostly in overflow looking for groups in Lions Arch, that benefits nothing since it’s cross server. Nice try, but you have no reason not to want a dungeon finder.
Your proof? Pretty sure on my server there are hundreds of players out in the world, and not sitting in overflow.
Was out in the Plains of Ashford, and most of the Map chat were people getting dungeon runs. Pass by AC? TONS of people hanging out front.
Like, really?
I don’t get the new generation of gamers. Want everything handed to them.
Please don’t add a dungeon finder, searching a group works perfectly fine.
Hmmm....I seem to recall a recent MMO release where people were saying this. It was pretty much one of the downfalls of the game.
Here is my take on the LFD issue. I say put one it. Its a great tool for people that dont have time to find groups, or dont have a lot of friends or a guild to play with.
If you would rather not have LFD, then simply dont use it. Other people like myself like that feature of other games.
This game and that ’game’ are different. Nobody cares what happened to that other game. And unless you have hardcore proof that a lack of a LFD tool was a part of the downfall of said game, then your words are simply an assumption.
People are so lazy these days.

This is like saying: please don’t give me a car, I can walk to work just fine.
Not even close.
Dungeons finder is a garbage idea. This isn’t WoW.
Are you under the impression that WoW is the only game with a dungeon finder?
I’m under the impression that half of these terrible threads coming out are posted by players fresh over from WoW. Pretty easy to spot.
Stop being lazy. Stop being socially awkward. Interact with your community.

Holy trinity is terrible.
It’s a generic paid review. If it was an actual honest review it wouldn’t have Jeremy Soul’s generic french horn music playing over it, while he talks about it positively. Do you honestly think that gaming journalism holds any validity or integrity?
Let’s see them review Ascalon Catacombs, its overflow shards, forced difficulty and hour waiting times. Oh wait, they aren’t paid to.
Of course, because your negative opinion is fact whereas any positivity and praise is clearly paid for.
All he does is whine.
I’m predicting ‘ex’ WoW player.
The worst, and most time consuming one I found was one in the South of Dredgehaunt Cliffs, which took me almost 15 minutes to do. This sort of thing just doesn’t belong in an MMO
You’re playing the wrong game then.
Every game has it’s own rules. Each game has its own style. Not every MMO is the same.
Just because you say it doesn’t belong, doesn’t make it true.
Moi vundeful theify
No sub doesn’t mean free. It’s like all those people who cry for free 2 play, not realising that a company still has to make money.
You can buy the character slots. The amount of character slots you have, has nothing to do with pay 2 win. That is an absurd conclusion on your side. You can do sPvP at level 80 from start. Don’t like it? Delete it and try again.
And as the others here pointed out you can actually get them with in game gold as well.
My advice: read up before you scream like a 5-year-old.
Now, I never played WoW, but are you telling us that you got 50 character slots included in the price of the sub? That seems unlikely.
It’s actually true.
You can create up to 50 characters, with restrictions being 10 characters per realm.
Nah, I enjoy GW2. You obviously don’t as half of your posts are whining about how daoc does things.
Daoc ----> that way.
I think daoc is a bad game and you should stop comparing it to GW2.
I don’t think they are too strong, but for some reason there’s waaaaaay too many thieves running around in Spvp. Annoying at best.
I’ve played quite a few MMO’s. When it comes to PvP, anything rogue-like is usually a number one choice. Rogue like characters fit the pvp, hunt down your enemy style of play. You go in and get the job done quickly.
It’s just a pattern I’ve noticed.
Also, On topic, I’m sure the same QQ would be shed if there were more mesmers, necros, or whatever other class in pvp. They seem OP because a lot of pvpers enjoy the class. However, in 1v1 situations, thieves can be countered easily.
Instead of nerfing a class because of POPULARITY, a more logical thing to suggest would be a class limit in SPvp. Say like 2, of each class per team.
lol MLG. So important as to what they think.
Also: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Are-Thieves-annoying-you-in-PvP/first#post40616
Do as I do. Level one class until you need a break. Then start leveling a second. once you need a break, switch back to the main, or do a third.
I normally level one character to cap or close to cap, then work on a second character for fun. I’m not really concerned about level cap, so I enjoy exploring with different characters and taking my time.
Alternatively, you can make a schedule. Assign play time hours or days to certain characters. it’s more structured, and gives you a chance to play them all equally.
1: Not too sure, as I’m not really into the crafting part yet.
2: Green weapons are mastercraft weapons. (little higher tier than blue). Many of them have upgrades already on them, which is nice. you can get them from world drops, crafting (I believe), bosses, and completeing personal story quests. You can also buy them off the auction house, or from some Karma vendors. (I think green weps/armor in K vendors are close to the level 20 range). World drops/boss drops are hit or miss with these as they are rarer types of wep/armor.
3: Jewels/gems you can get as drops, suply bags (I THINK), and from gathering. You get gems that have stats like precision, toughness, power etc. Runes, I’m not sure on. Runes are for armor only. I believe they are found already in mastercraft (green) armors. Sigils are the weapon equivalent of runs, and I believe it’s the same thing. Not sure if these are world drops, crafted, or what.
Yeah, as a thief, i’ve died probably 15 times or better.
I’ve tried all weapon combos and so far, my favorites are dagger/dagger, pistol/pistol and shortbow. Each have their uses.
Shortbow is GREAT for kiting as a thief. Damage isn’t over the top, but you can can stay out of range pretty nice.
Dagger/dagger is GREAT for melee. High damage output with survivability skills.
An example of an opener for me on melee..
I come in and use skill #5 with dagger/dagger. I hit the creature, get auto-stealthed, then circle around and hit it from behind with a backstab. (while still in stealth). it’s a big damage boost. After that, I use skill #1 for repeated damage. I occasionally throw in skill #3. it’s a skill that does damage, AND evades. it’s like an extra evade button. Once the creature’s health gets low, Spam #2 to finish it off.
If you get out numbered, a nice skill to use is blinding powder. blinds enemies for 5 seconds, and then you can circle around one enemy while stealthed and open with a backstab. Huge damage boost.
Say you’re up against a tough enemy. With dagger dagger if you hit skill #4, you throw your knife at him. This will cripple him, impaairing his movement for so many seconds. you can quickly switch to shortbow and begin kiting. My usual method is Spam skill 1. Use skill 4 to use choking gas, and then skill 2 for a little damage. Skill #3 is the awesome one though. It propells you backward while shooting so you can gain range.
For utility skills, you can use traps here as range. Tripwire is nice because it knocks an enemy down and cripples them. Caltrops is even better because it causes bleeds and cripples the enemy. You can kite things around all day, laughing your butt off.
it’s once you learn to use these sorts of tactics (or even some that you invent) that you will die significantly less.
IF you just played the game for a few months you would have more than enough gold to exchange for gems to get all the stuff you cited for free…. L2P
Idk what you doing to make gold but it certainly didnt take me months to get myself $50 worth of gems(reading comphrension). I can log on right now and get myself 4000 more gems with gold and I would still have loads of gold.
I’m saying for the people who’s buying gem, they are not getting their moneys worth and areanet is seriously overpricing both the cost of gems and the price of items.
Who are YOU to say we’re not getting our money’s worth, just because YOU don’t like the pricing?
I’ve bought gems. I got what I wanted/needed, and I feel I got my money’s worth. I also feel good knowing that the funding will go toward future content/expansions.
How can you possibly say that 2 bag slot on ONE character or 1 character slot expansion is worth $10 when it is something that is so basic that it is offered free in most quality MMO? Unless you are too rich, irresponsible, or even spoiled.
Oh and this is coming from a person who is trading gold to gems and never bought any gem and is willing to trade at a higher convertion rate beacuse gem is simply too expensive to be getting so little of.
First of all, I work hard for my money, and I do with it what I please. It doesn’t make me ‘rich, irresponsible, or spoiled’.
Second of all, how many MMO’s have you played? Let’s take the most popular one atm. Warcraft. In WC you get 10 slots. For bags you get five maximum. You have no other options but to delete characters if you want a new alt, or roll on another server. As for bag space, yeah you’re SoL there. You need to roll a bank toon, or create ‘bank’ guilds.
GW2. You start with what …3…4 bag slots? That’s more than plenty. You also get 5 character slots. No one really needs more than 5 characters, because many players will just let alts rot when they find a new favorite for the month. These items you’re complaining are ‘too costly’ are LUXURY items.
Things that you don’t need, but have the OPTION to pay for if you want them.
Just like in WoW. You want to move servers you pay a fee. Move to the other faction. Fee. Collector’s pets- pay real money on the blizzard store.
You don’t need this stuff. People do buy/pay for it because they want it. Why they do so, is also none of your business.
Your whining is pointless. The prices aren’t that bad. You also have GOLD as a means to buy them. Think of it this way- When you buy an item from GW2, seeing as it’s F2P, you’re donating money to help keep the game maintained. You’re donating money to get more content and new expansions brought in. You’re helping a game that you enjoy.
Now, please and kindly get off your high horse, and find something constructive to complain about.
Just takes practice.
At first I thought thieves were weak as well. However, once you get used to their mechanics, they’re really fun to play.
Which boss are you fighting? Storymode boss? World boss?
I chose human and died a lot trying to kill Doc before getting to two-blade pete. I leveled up a bit, and got a few trait skills and it helped. Thieves require a lot of movement and situational awareness.
As for a good newb-friendly class, I believe in the Brady games GW2 manual, the easiest class to start with is the guardian. Tons of survivability.
As for questing- You can do either/or. Story mode has nice rewards, but you can only do them up to a certain point as you don’t get enough exp to keep up with the levels. Sometimes the storymode out levels your current level, so you need to do other quests/activities to meet the requirements.
I also suggest exploration. Uncovering a whole map, doing every heart quest, finding every skill points, point of interest, and vista will unlock further rewards.
(edited by Sin.8174)
get dagger. spam 2, collect bags.
Yeah, totally. Spam 2.
Fall off a cliff/ledge. Don’t heal. Don’t backstab. Just spam 2. I take it the little theif bad touched you?
Now, more seriously.
I’ve not too much experience yet. I’m at level 26 and so far I’ve gotten 10 trait points into shadow arts. (Toughness/healing). I felt my thief was a little squishy, so I’ve tried to up his resilience a bit more. This is just testing mind you. I guess it all depends on what sort of build you’re looking for. At the moment I’m content with the shadow arts skills, but may delve into deadly arts eventually.
For weapon stats, again it depends on all what you’re looking for, I would assume. I use a mixture of stats- toughness, crit, power, etc. I have more power on my weapons for the dps boost, and precision so I can crit harder. My third best stat is toughness- although, I’m not too sure how that feels atm.
Read over this page, to give yourself an idea on what you may like in the trait department.

You can use it once for ’free’, but you can keep using the transmutation stones to keep the look of the gem store armor.
I’ve been using my kryta thief set since level 5. (Now at level 26)
When using transmutation stones, just make sure to select the appearance of the gem store item (I almost transmuted wrong once..lol) and you should be golden!
Free...market?
Buy it and resell. I’m lazy, want quick gold, so with 90% of my junk, I fill orders.
Anything that doesn’t have orders for, I just vendor. At the early stages of the game, people don’t really care about all this stuff. Those with experience in the game, those who’ve learned to play the system, whom have reached the higher levels, are but a minority.
Just look at it as more profit for a resale.
You’re using the spear?
Have you tried using the harpoon gun? It’s my tool of choice for underwater combat. More damage, easier maneuverability.. allows you to keep your distance.
…people are complaining about the lack of a gear treadmill…
What you call a “treadmill”, I call “progression”. Progression is key for retaining people in an MMO. Without it, without that investment for people to make in their characters, they’ll quickly leave for the next shiny bauble of a game that happens along. It’s human nature, man—give people a meaningful way to progress their characters, and they’ll always have goals to achieve, and want to stick around to achieve them.
Should people who pvp more be able to stomp on people who pvp less? HELL YES THEY SHOULD. But instead of moaning about getting beat, players should use it as motivation to improve their skills, and their gear. It’s another goal. It’s another tangible way to see a character improve over time. In other words, progression is king. Otherwise, we’re all just playing a tab-targeting FPS shooter.
I like how people talk about skill. Saying GW2 has no ‘skill’. You’re on an even playing field as everyone else, no gear discrepancies… and yet there’s no skill. Logic fail?
Improvement can still be seen in your playstyle. You don’t need gear to improve. It’s an illusion. LoL look at legendary/vial rogues in WoW… That alone speaks volumes.
This game is great but pvp is going to get boring real quick. Gear is important – Not super powerful OMG I cant be killed gear, but small upgrades for people to strive for. Gear is an important “piece” of the pvp experience, just as class roles, skill and team synergy are all a “piece” that make the matches fruitful and interesting. No gear, no class roles = Pew Pew PVP mosh pit. Skill based game? Get real! Since when is holding “F” for 5 seconds to kill a player something that takes skill.
Im not saying gear should be a “huge” factor, it should be a small factor, but a factor non the less. I personally enjoy (as most mmo’ers) attaining gear and seeing my character progress over time. If I want a DPS mosh pit, where everyone is the same, I can play a FPS like Call of duty.
Variety is the spice of life, and personally I enjoy the challenge of killing a player with better gear or better skill, and the knowledge that I can achieve those same elements later in the game – just not in this game.
You people who only have 2 hours to play games a week should not be playing MMO’s at all – especially telling us veteran MMO’ers how to play games.
I play online games most of my evenings. I play most opf the day when I’m on my days off. I’m a vet MMO player. Your way of thinking does not fit mine. Get used to it.
I am a pvper. I live to gank people. I do not need rewards nor incentive. I see you coming, your name is not the same color as mine, I will hunt you.
Gear is merely an obstacle in pvp. One that I am glad is not present.
I love the idea of a cosmetic reward system. Too many games use the same old ’gear progression’ method and it really hampers the fun.
Some games you can buy your gear. It’s not so bad, you can get what you need to stay on top. However, usually the economy is thrown out of whack in the end. Then there are terrible designs like WoW, where you must get rofl stomped repeatedly, just to get one piece of gear at a time. It’s slow, monotonous and boring.
I also don’t understand why people also ’defend’ WoW’s gear progression. In the end, it’s literally the same thing- Cosmetic. Once you get your first tier of glad gear, and then your high rated glad wep... the only gear you get to look forward to is the exact same set... with the exact same stats... in a different color.
I love GW’s pvp and the way it’s handled. People will either adapt to a new system, or go back to something they’re used to. In my opinion, those who love pvp for the pvp mindset of skill v skill, will stick around.
Check the announcements section of the forum.
They post any changes there.
If you used a credit card, have them begin the paperwork for a chargeback once you meet the criteria. You’re unhappy with the product (obviously) and the remediation offered by the merchant (Best Buy + ANet) has clearly been misleading and unacceptable ("We’re resolving prioritized hacked account tickets within 72 hours."). You’d be surprised how the credit card company will go to bat for you, since they want you to be happy with them... and spending money through them.
Discover Card had my paperwork ready to go within 72 minutes. I just have to decide when to file it at this point.
Enjoy your fee’s
Also are you like... durp? Most companies that sell boxed copies will tell you... no refunds. Only one being ’misleading’ is you. lol
And to those that don’t undersstand why you generally can’t return PC games...
There are a lot o dinks out there that buy games, crack/pirate them, then try to return them for their cash back. Every pc game also has a unique serial code which can be used once. It’s a way to protect the next buyer in line from being ripped off. Some stores may give a store credit if there’s an issue with the actual game, but not for ’account’ issues or anything related.
Haaaaha. Reading is fundamental, aye? So I can’t get my money back for buying the digital version? Even though the game doesn’t work. At all? I’ve yet to log on. At all. That’s my fault it’s having issues? Our fault it’s all sorts of messed up? Naahh. They should really refund our money for a game we’re not able to play thru NO fault of our own. Just saying.
You might be able to get money back if you got the digital copy from Anet. Digital copies are a dime a dozen, so as long as you’ve not had it for months on end (I know it’s just been released), you should be able to get a refund.

The title of this post is deceptive – gem store distribution methods may have been fixed. Accounts trying to purchase gems but have been locked out by NCSoft has not been fixed.
Hence the (?) at the end. Was curious if a good chunk have been fixed or not.

Beginning with the third and final Beta Weekend, and during some of the stress tests, it was possible to buy gems for the regular price. Those purchased gems were reissued at the beginning of the Guild Wars 2 head start. Gems bought with beta gold or "purchased" during the earlier Beta Weekends when the purchase process didn’t result in an actual charge were not reissued.
****** Text difficult to read with some user interface size settings
When using the small interface size settings, the text on Black Lion Trading Company, Trading Post, and Gem Exchange sites can be difficult to read. We’re aware of this issue and we’re working on it. In the meantime, as a workaround you can set the interface size to "normal" while using these features.
****** Billing issues (multiple charges, removing your credit card information, and so on)
We have made an effort to get all billing-related issues directed to that team before sending this message, but it’s not always easy for us to separate them out. If you are requesting help with a billing issue, please reply to this message for assistance.
****** Other issues
If the issue you contacted us about was not mentioned above, please reply to this message and we’ll take an individual look at it.
Finally, I’d like to let you know that we’ve also changed the subject line of this ticket so that we can easily identify and appropriately prioritize any further response from you, should you need to reply. We still have a very large number of requests to respond to, but we will make every effort to get back to you as quickly as possible.
Regards,
Mitch

Just got a nice email. Seems many issues were resolved! Check your inboxes..
Hello,
This is a mass message which you’re receiving because you appear to have contacted us about the Trading Post, Black Lion Trading Company, gems, or another similar issue. We’ve resolved a number of issues with these systems over the past few days. We’re sending this mass message to help us get this information out to as many people as possible as quickly as we can. Please take a moment to read through the message below. It’s split up into small sections so that you can read the section heading and move on to the next one if it’s not relevant to your request.
Hello to all reading this!
Decided to open up recruitment for The Seventh Circle on the Tarnished Coast.
This recruitment will be short and sweet until I hash out all of the finer details. Forgive this sloppy thought process, and please try to see my underlying meaning. This will be updated as I go along to be well presented and fine tuned.
For now I present this:
History
The Seventh Circle is based off of the Seventh Circle of Hell, from Dante Alighieri’s poem ’The Inferno’. It was to symbolise our involvement in being the ’bad guy’ and our focus on pvp. Our motto is ’This Circle Houses the Violent’.
Seventh Circle is primarily a rp/pvp style guild, that also focuses on PvE depending on the type of game. It was orignally founded about 5 years ago upon another game. The guild grew fast, becoming pretty well known as a PKing (player killing) guild that held an evil nature. (Lore wise) We made enemies very quickly.
I believe the guild may still thrive there, under the leadership of a former partner. I left the guild around 2009 to persue other ventures.
Plans for the guild:
I had recently thought about the Seventh Circle not long ago. I wanted to give birth once more to the guild upon a new home, perhaps turning it into a multigaming guild. As I did in the past, my main goals are to bring together a like minded community that enjoys competition and perfecting our game. A community offering fun via group activities, commraderie, and friendship.
I believe in rewarding those that show dedication, and plan to host many events in the future to help keep our members enticed and active within the community.
In the past, I would hold group pvp contests, ’ganking’ contests, and even random contests in which I would send members items of their choosing. I plan on doing this with the new 7th Circle as soon as I am able.
I wish to tackle as many different forms of content as I could in GW2, and hopefully upon other platforms of gaming as well. I’m sure there are many players that have more than one multiplayer game that they enjoy, whether it be MMO, FPS, ARPG, Sports, Roleplay or whatever.
Right now this is all in the planning stages, but I know it is possible with time invested.
Currently we have a website and a forums in the works. Shall update when it’s ready.
Requirements for GW2:
Respectable, mature players.
18 years or older
A fondness for competition.
More inclined toward PvP style of gameplay (although pve players are welcome)
Roleplay encouraged, but not mandatory.
No drama
Any level range
Any class/race
Again, this is just a rough draft while I’m at work. Will update, fix errors/typos and full flesh out my thoughts when I’m at home. Until then, look for Orphyn X on the Tarnished Coast, shoot me a PM, or leave a post.
Thank you for your time.

yes but according to canurunit.com, which is a site that scans your PC to see if you can run the game based off the minimum requirements.
Everything from that indicated to me that I would be able to handle this at highest settings.
It’s a garbage website…
So many games it told me I couldn’t run… and yet I already own them and play them all on max settings lol
Great thread.
+1 for Malwarebytes... AMAZING little program.
Another thing that is nice to use is TDSSKiller. Anti-rootkit software that is also free. Used for more malicious malware in conjunction with MBytes.
Got a response from Gaile guys
The team is aware, and I can tell you that emails about this are flying by, even at this late hour in the evening. So yes, it’s definitely on the radar!
