So much fun last night. Thanks for all of the trolling from GODS. We appreciate that you’re better at sending whispers to people than actually fighting. There are a couple of guilds we fought last night from DB that are legit killers though, [NS] and [TG] you guys can bring the pain. GODS reminded me of a remora sticking to a shark.They wouldn’t engage unless NS did and then only after the battle was decided would they swoop in and get some tags in on us to collect a few bags.

I gotta Give my fellow TC members props, I think we could have beat JQ this week if FA would have showed any kind of aggression this week towards them, only times I would see FA and JQ fight it out was when JQ would get the in their Towers and Keeps, other than that FA just tried capping our stuff while we were busy with JQ. JQ, awesome fights, would like to have you and another T1 server, cause I think you all would not be focused on us the whole time, and then we would have more of a chance and you would have more pressure on you. I hope this happens soon, either way, I’m sure we will see each other again.

Now to something a little more fun…. last time TC/FA/ SoS matched up… we had great fun doing a Rainbow Dolyak Parade around SoS borderlands.

I reported this in game last night.

A couple of us decided to spend a point in “repair master” last night. The first tier allows you to be able to use 4 supply at a time instead of 2. It seemed like a nice to have thing along with the Siege building one.

Here’s the bug, if you click repair on a wall it will take 4 supply from you when the wall is full. We tried it on 3 different places that had not been touched by siege. So if you’re in a tower or keep and walk by a wall. If you interact with that wall it won’t tell you the wall is full. It will just take your 4 supply. If 10 people click on a full wall, it will take 40 and so on.

Be careful what you click on.

We were farming you open field in your own BL, either come or don’t, I think your server gave up.

ACE, RET and SIC were on Mag BL for 4+ hours and only managed to take SW tower and NE tower. Meanwhile, I gained 8 WXP ranks just from killing you with the pub zerg until you all gave up.

We did the vary same squish tactic twice at Cliffside, and we left the gate open on purpose.

I don’t think we gained a lot of WXP as you guys were giving 1wxp after the first wipe, but I did make 5.1 gold. I cheated though, since I’m a necro. :P

There were more than 20 large battles during that period. You’re bragging about winning 2 of 20+… against pubs…

You should seriously slink off and pretend this never happened.

As far as not attacking you in your siege covered tower, well.. duh. We were quite happy to laugh at you for sitting in a tower doing nothing for 30 minutes while we secured the rest of the map and supplied up. Remind me again how that turned out? Oh yeah, you got destroyed, we took the tower and most of you left the map.

Your guild groups were outmaneuvered, out smarted and outplayed by pubs. Let that marinate in your kitchen for a little bit. If a pub commander on Mag had tied up that many people for that long and accomplished that little, we would have shamed him off the server.

They fought us for about 45 minutes in the north camp of FABL. Back and forth, got the best of us 99% of the time I would say. It was close to even numbers from a guild vs guild standpoint (we had 7) but we had some non guildies try to help us as well so really our numbers were more. It was by far some of the best small group fighting I have been a part of, even though I was on the losing end.

Near the end of the fight one of my guys said “Yup, we’re gonna be on YouTube tomorrow”. We were on the wrong end of a highlight reel.

We’ll certainly never run from a fight. When we first saw your group we just kind of rushed headlong into you, 5 minutes into the back and forth I noticed that you were all running 25 stacks of prec and fully buffed and thought…“hrmmm, these guys are no scrubs”.

Our initial goal was just to keep the camp from flipping since it had 150sup and +5 buff on it. It wasn’t until I died about the 3rd time that I realized you had no intention of taking the camp you just wanted to fight. We got a little more organized then but still didn’t have the firepower to take anyone out. You guys were exceptional at baiting people in, laying down CC, focus fire and supporting each other. Honestly, best I’ve seen in GW2. The greatest compliment I can pay to someone is, we knew what you were doing but we still couldn’t stop it.

Of course, we’d love to try again. See you out there after the 4th.

One day a long time ago, I saw on the projected rankings that TC would be facing FA again and I thought “hot kitten !”

It was no secret that FA had beef with TC. It started back in the day when we killed some Dolyaks blah blah blah blah you know the story. Now I feel like we’re stuck in Groundhog Day.

TC, I don’t know how to say this so I am just going to say it. I think it’s time we start seeing other people. I know, I know it’s hard to hear but this relationship is just getting old. I just don’t feel the spark anymore. It’s time to move on.

I need to give some props to DB from last night on TCBL. PD only had a small number out last night so we were scouting and taking camps, etc. RET and HOPE had smallish (for them) groups on the map as well.

At one point of the night, TC was knocking on the front door of Briar. I get into the tower to report the gate and numbers I saw. I figured there to be 25-30 TC on the door, give or take a few. I’m standing on the wall and suddenly I see [CO] massing up on the shore NE of the tower, probably 10-12 of them. I’m thinking “this should be interesting”. Then I saw what looked like a group of [Agg] (maybe 15?) on the South shore and I started to smile, a nice flank move. What happened next blew me away. The door goes down and TV pours in, just as the [CO] group engages and the [Agg] group engages a HUGE DB zerg rolls across the bridge right in the middle of them and pours into the tower. That’s the first time I think I have ever seen a 3 pronged coordinated attack from a server other than FA and it was done masterfully.

Btw there were three Zergs on that map. EA, CO, and Agg… What occurred in the south of that map was an absolute sandwich love fest.

Please do not message me in-game claiming that my members are TC spies.

We have decided the guild will have an FA section and a TC section. The time has come to put this bickering aside as the TC section is more WvW oriented while the FA section is more Roleplaying/Story Oriented (with some WvW players).

In short, the sections are the opposite of the “declarations” of what each server represents. I was not going to ask those members in our FA side to leave, as we have been together for a long time and we know each other by real name and we are people first.

We aren’t letting our choice of servers tear us apart!

I don’t care who started the squabbles between both servers, but I am going to use the guild as a symbol to bridge the gap between servers and we will be doing WvW events as well as projects.

We have very strict rules as to how WvW communication can be used. Outside of Party Chat (if a party made of members of both sections exist), no information can be relayed about the status of position movements and commanders. Information can not leave the party chat. A mixed party will have its own private room on our raidcall room. Such information can not leave the room.

This is to keep the match fair.
I will not win at WvW using what I morally define as cheating in a video game.

I find both servers really need a guild like this…and as I’ve lived on Kaineng, FA and now TC…I should eventually know the three servers pretty well.

Bridge the gap? WTF are you talking about Shira? This is a WvWvW game, there are no gaps to bridge. We log in, we fight the other servers and we log out. This isn’t Shadowbane were politics were at play. There isn’t anything to gain from “bridging a gap”. There are no peace treaties or alliances in this game, despite what the conspiracy theorists say. Guilds shouldn’t have members on both servers as it’s counterproductive to how the game is supposed to be played.

I’m glad you found a server that suits your play style and needs. I hope that you fit that community better than you did the FA one.

I was more referring to when the Garrison was swiss cheese and the Kaineng zerg ran from Longview, into the hole on the west side. They then ran right through the garrison and out the hole on the east side, wiping the siege we had on TC’s hold of Cliffside. Then, a few minutes later when the KN zerg was on the east side of the map. We moved to siege Kainengs Longview tower and TC rolled us, then turned back to the garrison.

Or better when the KN and TC folks were dancing in the field together, that was a nice touch too.

Whatever though, it was an entertaining evening. We took some objectives, we lost some objectives. We killed some folks and we got killed by some folks. I’m not crying about it because it’s not important, I play the game for WVW and that’s what I got tonight. FA is not shy about calling people out for challenges. We want the big fights and you give us the big fights. 2 v1 or 1v1v1 doesn’t matter, it’s all the same. It certainly made for an entertaining evening in TS.

Actually yes that did happen. We joined DOLY with several PD and hit it from the inside last time. I actually wasn’t at the one where we all joined DOLY, I couldn’t be online at the time. A bunch of my guys got invites from Stawker but it was very much planned out.

The first Dolyak parade attack was spontaneous, the most recent one was planned.

As usual on a reset night, FAB is party time. Many, many big fights tonight from both Kain and TC. A lot has been said since our last match up about wanting to fight TC and we got what we wanted. I don’t expect the intensity to die down all week. The only complaint I had about last night was that I went to like 1 FPS during the big fights and I can’t really be effective in a fight like that other than to close my eyes and swing my hammer.

Great fighting tonight, looking forward to a fun week.

SoS had too much of a point lead, and FA has been eating at it to keep our score up so we don’t get bumped back down.

I am anxiously awaiting the return of the TC loudmouth forum warriors back to a tier with FA. I am downright giddy for it. I really can’t wait to feed them a really big serving of eat kitten and die. If I could pay Kaineng to just sit back and let us fight, I would.

There will be no stupid celebrity updates. There will be no ridiculous role playing. There will be no dolyak parades. There will just be death and destruction, all day and all night. Kaineng, you have been and continue to be respectful and good opponents. We have some unfinished business with Tarnished Coast next week that must be attended to.

I think something that is missed often is how well our core leadership coordinated and communicates. Sure, there are always areas for improvement but when work needs to be done, we work together to make it happen. I’ve been leading PD now for nearly 17 years in every game you can think of and some of these Guild Leaders and Commanders rank up there with some of the all time greats. These are not just drive by guilds that will be gone in a month, it’s a stable community of highly capable leaders. The Purple Dragons are proud to be a part of this community.

How many commanders are on FA? In all the screenshots and in-game I never see less than 3. Maguuma has periods of hours where we have 0 or 1.

When everyone has an icon, is it just a status thing at that point? I mean I’ve seen seen d/d eles with icons, which has got to be the most useless class to have an icon on.

We all have CMDR icons, we just trade off who has it active. When we have a troll in our /team or /map we kill them, skin them and then hang them up from the gate of Garrison.

I love it, I remember the first fight in the video vividly. We were on our new level 10-20 thieves and one level 80 necro. We caught up with you guys running out of North supply down to NW Supply and got the better of one of your guys (uplevel I think). This one thief turns around and comes our way, I’m thinking “what a dummy, there’s six of us”. Then we find out what happens when none of us really knew how to play our thieves and we fight a guy who really understands his class and has some solid gear. Suffice it to say he made us log off our uplevels and get on our mains. No more thief for me, I’ll stick to my warrior.

Also, it was the matchup before we went to T2 and then back so it’s not this week.

I don’t care if we go up, down or sideways. I just want another crack at Tarnished Coast someday.

When we moved our golems from our spawn to behind the windmill (you guys owned the south camp btw) 5-10 Drgn came running at us. If you didnt resort to spying, i would love to know what kind of scouting you guys have so we can also use that on Mag.

Hats off to Fa last night during siege from sw supply to wk. Your tactics were very good. After trying to go through the sieged choke point you either went around the back side and or portal in behind the siege. Normally this is easily countered but the amount of pressure at the choke did not allow us to properly defend the back. A respectful nod to the person(s) who executed

If you’re talking about when you guys had those trebs up in Vale, that was PD and KGB. We were in Maguuma messing around on our uplevels when someone came in and said that Bay in FAB was about to fall so we jumped over there on our mains and came out. You guys had the choke point nice and sieged so we tried to go around it and failed. Our second attempt we portal bombed the siege so the militia could get in and then we went up to the trebs. It was a great siege on your part, it took someone going to other borderlands for help to get it broken.

@AoN, thanks for melting us when we were on our uplevels. It was pure comedy in our mumble. We were flipping the sentry and BAM! AoN comes running down on us and one shot each of us. Just proof that people need to be on geared 80’s to really compete in WVW. It was pretty kitten funny.

Yeah I know it will get deleted, surprised it lasted this long. If I ever scammed someone I would hope someone would call me out on it.

I agree 100% that it was a really bad move on my guildmates part to do this. I would never, ever trade with someone I didn’t know. Lesson learned for him for sure. The goal of this post was to make others aware of it so they don’t fall for it as well. Let our misfortune serve as a warning to you all.

So last night one of my guild members was in Lion’s Arch. He was looking through the trade post at Onyx Lodestone prices as he needs them for his legendary. While scanning the TP, he noticed someone offering to sell them in /map. The player named Deadmaumau was in a guild called GODS and was a Commander. So naturally my guy thought he was legit and could be trusted. What my guild member didn’t realize is that he was in overflow and the GODS guild he was talking to wasn’t the GODS from our server (FA) and this Deadmaumau guy was not from Fort Aspenwood at all. Being tired from a long day and thinking the guy was on the level, he agreed to send 55g to this CMDR in exchange for an amount of Onyx Lodestones.

You can guess what happened next if you’ve ever played MMOs before. The player receiving the money logged off and blocked my guild member. Now, I know…he was a kitten and shouldn’t have done the trade. There’s a trade post for a reason. He was too trusting but he knew that if the deal went south and a GODS player from FA was scamming, we could deal with it diplomatically because we have a good relationship with them. Unfortunately, Arena Net was not sympathetic when he reported it and there is nothing officially they can do (see response).

The only problems PD has had with KnT is having to respawn shortly after meeting with you. No disrespect that I have seen.

I think the only thing that will keep us from being there will be the queue. So many FA players want to bathe in Dolyak blood that it’s possible we’ll just be listening to it in Teamspeak.

We turned our yak fueled hate into more profitable things than qq: parody songs and multi-tier events. By raining on the parade, FA only ensured that it would become more popular and propel us further. People join us now just because they want to do the parade. It gets PVEers more interested in doing WvW. If the parade got crashed again, it would probably enflame our dormant contingency of casual players. So far as I can tell, the yak parade did TC nothing but good.
