I noticed in pvp, after the HoT patch, that when my wells get stunned that they go on full cool down without ever being cast. I am not 100% sure if this happens 100% of the time.. but its happened to me almost every match I played since HoT.
I am using the Vamp Rituals trait.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Yes they do give life force when they die.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
It’s a lot better than it was but it’s still bothersome when the game puts you against something you just can’t beat, such as 2+ necro teams. All they have to do to win is cap 2 points and crap out wells. They win by attrition, the time it takes to recap those points (assuming the necro even dies) still means they win by scoring points for their team.
Hey Hey.. That’s clearly a valid strategy
But ya. Match Making seems better. I only played one match last night that was a blow out. 500 to 106 in favor of my team. Although the people on the other team were not bad they just had a really really bad comp.

Why do you use the Settler Amulet?
The Healing and Toughness combo is always better in a long fight than any Vitality and Toughness combo… (long being.. >30 seconds)
Since you are bunkering you are trying to last a long time. The only advantage that the Toughness and Vitality combo amulets have is that you will have a better chance to survive a large initial burst. If that burst does not come or you survive the burst the healing and toughness combo will always come up on top.
I put together a spreadsheet a while back to prove this.. I just gotta find it and ill post it.
So the two amulets that you would want to choose from is Clerics and Settlers. I choose settlers because it helps more vs a initial burst and you do passive damage with conditions.

Bunker necro is all I play in PVP.
Its fun and that’s why I play it.
Here is the build I am currently running:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vRAQNAW3Yjk0QRNWbD+0A/NOgGKZDEAL7cmr5SgmD9wLA-TJxHABOVGo2LCAK7PAwTAAA
I switch between Runes of Water and Mercy.. depending if people on my team die a lot or not.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
In PVP I use it as advanced warning vs stealth.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Spazza, seems really tanky and no damage, do you use this specifically for holding points? I would imagine you focus on team aid and bunkering only with this, right?
Yes its a point holder build. I don’t do much damage by myself. I only can really do damage if I am fighting other condi builds. The amount of team support that necro got this patch is amazing. I burst 3k heal when coming out of DS to teammates. Not to mention the healing well is now viable due to some passive condi removal (shrouded removal) and cool down reduction with the merged trait.
Yeah that’s just a pure bunk, although I would argue my build will actually survive longer and dish out way more damage.
I agree your build does more damage than my build. But you will not survive longer than me, especially in 2v1 fights. You have 0 healing power, Low DS generation (most classes can out kite your dagger 1). Your build has a higher chance to survive a stealth burst from a mesmer/thief combo due to more HP though. Your build does look like a solid build though.

Here is the pure necro bunker build I am running. Its pretty awesome. I ran something similar before the patch.. its just much stronger now.

Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
If you jump and dodge at the same time it does not trigger.
Also why you dodging out of combat?
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Hard to kill, but easy to knock off a point and lacking cc of your own to decap a point.
I don’t PvP very seriously but I’m curious about this: with Foot in the Grave and two other stun breaks, is it really that easy to push a Necromancer off point?
No its not. The only class that will be able to knock you off point if you don’t play against them correctly is Engineer. You just have to save your Stun Break for the instant knock back immobilize combo. If you stun break right after they knock you back and dodge onto point they can’t knock you off for a long time. The stun break on the 10 second cool down is awesome. I played my build with the old Stability (not one stack) and its actually easier now to stay on point because of the 10 second stun break. Although I do miss that extra stability the stun break helps in some situations.
However.. if you are facing 2 coordinated engineers or 3 others coordinated people… sure they can knock you off point (if you are 1v2 or 1v3)… I don’t think any bunker build can hold the point vs that for that long (except in the middle of Foefire).
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
I also play bunker necro. Although my build is really different. Here is my build for reference:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fRAQNAnYWjc0UUbtN+0wfbinhS6JIAa2pCBq/hdIGA-TJxHABOVGo2TBgP7PAwTAAA
I do like your build though. Your build is more get LF, absorb all the damage in DS while avoid taking damage to your health pool, your weakness is your healing.. if your heal gets stunned your pretty much screwed. My build is more healing and party support orientated with some LF tanking. Also your build looks like it does more damage than mine.
Also… I know you probably don’t want any criticism of your build but I would switch out near to death and take Vital Persistence. The 50% less DS decay is awesome and will increase your survivability by a significant margin.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
How about make Signet passives work in DS.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
I personally think every build type should have a counter.
LB ranger counters Zerker and Carrion builds which need to be within melee to mid range to do damage. Which it should.. those builds typically have no defenses to speak of and with no toughness they will burst you down fast.
If you build a less glassy build.. lets say an amulet with toughness and add points into some defensive lines LB rangers become much less of a problem.. they can’t burst you down and you will have time to get in close to attack them… in this scenario player skills comes into play.
If you build for a tank/bunker.. LB rangers can’t do anything to you.. they have a lot of burst damage but, at least in my opinion, do not have a lot of sustained damage.. so as a tank/bunker you will out heal their damage and over a long fight you will end up killing them.. (assuming they don’t run away).
Those are all 1v1 scenarios though.. in team fights you need to keep watch for the LB rangers on the other team and have your team focus them, this is assuming they are the biggest threat at the time. Also remember you only ever need 1 person on your team on the capture point at one time.. this makes it so your team can chase down the ranger and kill him.
Also note I do not play ranger or have I ever played ranger. I play Necro and I see no problem with LB rangers.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Hard to say.
I would recommend making 2 combat logs.
One for self healing received. To verify if your heal actually went off.
One for damage received. To see if some one really did that much damage to you.
Also there are combos that can deal upwards of 12-15k dmg on a zerker class (maybe even more..).. even as full tank people might be able deal upwards of 8k really quickly with the correct combos.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
I also 100% confirm it does not work.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Foot in the Grave I found to be quite insulting as well.
The trait was questionable to begin with given the huge oppurtunity cost involved in grabbing the trait. But now it only grants 1 stack of stability? For a GM trait that you have to forego 50% chance to crit while in shroud?
It’s now up there with Siphoned Power as one of the most absurd traits in the game.
I agree.. the foot in the grave change makes that trait much worse… I would of liked to have seen 2-3 stacks… 1 is kind of low.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
If this is the case.. is must be a new bug.. this was working as intended yesterday.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
I agree this change kind of sucks.. I mean… at least make it 2-3 stacks.. 1 is too low…..
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
First of all I play bunker Necro, its my main char. Its not ideal (as other classes build bunkers that are easier to play) but its fun and that is why I play it. If you want to play Necro Bunker here is some advice for a build.
You need Stability. You are a bunker. If you are off point you are not bunkering. That is called a tank. Necro’s have the most stability of any class if you build for it.
Healing is always better for the long battle than starting with a lot of HP. Since Necro has more HP than all other classes (other than war). You can get away with not wasting a stat on VIT.
You need condi removal. Most builds rely on conditions in some respect. If you can’t remove conditions you are dead in the water.
Here is my necro bunker build:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fRAQNAnYWjc0UUbtN+0wfbinhS6JIAa2pCBq/hdIGA-TJxHABOVGo2TBgP7PAwTAAA
Advantages:
- Good Condi Removal – Consume, Well of power, Putrid mark, deathly swarm
- Perma Regen for you and team mates with mark of evasion and mark of blood
-Tanky as hell (Settlers amulet and 6 in Death Magic). You will be able to 2v1 and 3v1 for a decent amount of time.
- Really fast LF generation – Soul marks, Ghastly Claws, Spectral Armor.
- A ton of Stability (4.5 seconds every time you go to DS)
- Stability stomp potentially ready every 10 seconds.
- Stability res potentially ready every 10 seconds.
- Stability heal potentially ready every 10 seconds (pop DS leave and heal). Not fool proof but not auto stun either.
- 2 blind stomps if DS is on cool down – Deathly Swarm, Well Of blood
- Good support conditions – Weakness, Chills, Cripple, Blinds, Poison, Fears (use fear to push people back off your team mates/your self or to keep people off point)
- Situational Boon strip (try to strip might with unholy feast)
- No need to be in melee range at all with Ranged LF regen – Staff Marks, Staff Auto, Ghastly Claws.
- OK ally healing with Runes and Sigils
- Decent protection up time with wells and spectral armor and trait. (DO NOT USE SPECTRAL ARMOR UNTIL AFTER TRAIT KICKS IN AND ENDS.. unless you really need a stun break.)
- Plague Form.. really good time waster… and in my opinion best bunker skill in game.
- Unholy sanctuary is AWESOME. Not only does it heal you while in DS. You can be almost dead. Go into DS, heal a little, leave DS, pop spectral armor and “DIE” but you will be put back into DS with more DS. This is a great tactic and a decent amount of time you will get your heal off afterwards. (save your DS FEAR to heal out of DS)
Disadvantages:
- No mobility or escapes..
- All your damage comes from your condi transfers… which makes fighting condi classes easier. But since I am effectively using a power weapon with a condi amulet you are not speced to do your own damage at all.
- No Ally Stability
- No ally quick res unless you use signet (trade well of darkness for Signet if you want). DS -> Signet of Undeath (stability to prevent stun first). Although I find well of darkness better over all.
- Only 1 heal. If you screw up casting this you are screwed.. always go for safe Heal. Blind, Stability or Fear before you start to heal
- Mesmers… BOONs you don’t have many of them soo they will strip your good ones with shatter. You will need a lot of practice vs them.
I am sure I am missing some disadvantages and advantages of my build….. but that is all I can think of at this moment.

do you remember the necro’s name cause I was doing that a few days ago with the exact build Spazza showed XD. Although i was downed several times i think i wouldve lasted longer with my minion build tho :/
Try this one. More Health, More healing power, More Protection. And more dagger 2 spam. Although 0 Condition removal hah.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
You could always use:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_Infiltration
I always toy with this idea… I was thinking of trying a build like:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fRAQNAndWjc00abxN22whjiaBRqYQnIwsoKR593A-TZhBwAAOFA92fIyDAIzRAYcZAA
Pretty much keep its a finisher build for team play. 32% extra damage while opponent is under 50%hp. Lots of chills for kiting, good stun breaks, that invis if hit below 20% hp (although this one you will have to kind of keep an eye on) and lots of LF generation… Also for extra survivability I threw in Dark Armor for Axe 2 spam.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Since healing power is better for longer fights I would guess he was running some clerics/apothecary, LF spectral tank build.
maybe this? But without seeing him in action this is just a 100% guess.
But again.. 100% guess I just put together based on what I think would tank really well.

I thought that the ranger’s down state skill 3 was that his pet raised him.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_downed_skills#Ranger
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Are you sure the ranger’s pet didn’t just rez him? (just timed it so that when u spike war that he got up)
I have never seen a person rally off a friendly.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Faced 4 necros and an engy yesterday. Was awesome.
I was perma feared but they at least they forgot to throw other conditions on me when they feared me so i always seemed to live.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Only thing I noticed is that you probably need another stun break because with that build you can easily be locked down and killed (maybe switch out well of corruption with well of power). Although the high HP and LF pool helps a lot.
Also I recommend reading through this thread:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/necromancer/Leeto-s-power-dagger-PVP-build/first
This build is similar to your build. Maybe you can get some ideas.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Foot_in_the_Grave
Guess what. While it favors power, its also decent for condi.
that’s the issue, aside from taking 30 in SR or using our elites which have a 180s cd we dont have any way to gain stability for ourselves.
Well.. we can also cast well of power to get 1 second of stability and then on the small chance we are feared and well of power is cast we will also get some stability.
Also.. 20 seconds of stability in plague and 30 seconds in lich are really good… the only thing is that the stability goes away once the transformation ends… i rarely stay in either one of them for the full duration… so it would be nice for that not to happen. But either way even being in the transformation for the full duration you get around 10 to 15% stability up times in fights that you use these.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Disadvantages
No access to swiftness. This sucks when you need to get back to a point faster
Weak vs condition Necro. This is because since most of the condition removal is from transfers rather than removing fighting a condition necro can be tricky and almost never ends well.. Pretty much when fighting these try not to apply any bleeds to them and only transfer when needed… although bleed likes to be the last one to transfer soo most of the time your screwed.
No Group Stability (this is one of the main reasons why Guardians are really good bunkers in my opinion)
Using light armor since your a necro…. you loose I think 300 armor or something..
No Long duration Immobilize or fast casting immobilize
Advantages
Large amount of group healing. With this build your well of blood can potentially heal teammates for 6200 over 10 seconds.. Also you have perma regen with mark of blood spam.
A lot of support conditions that help in team fights. Chill, Cripple, Weakness, Vulnerability, Blind. These also help keep you alive.
Good at fighting Stun Lock warriors (hammer/bow). With the amount of stability and healing you have, fighting these solo are easy. (It will always end in a draw.. you will never win.. Healing Signet out heals your damage)
People will attack you first because your a necro.. no on expects a necro to be a bunker…. this gives you the advantage normally at the start of the match.
With the +40% boon duration from runes and traits you get 4.25 seconds of stability every time you go into DS. This potentially gives you a very 42.5% stability up time… but normally its more like 30% up time. Because of this fighting decap engineers does not suck as much…. still sucks.. just not as much.
Lots of group protection with wells. 4.75 seconds per well.
Extremely good vs burst classes. 20K HP pool and 15k DS pool.
Well of Power is awesome.. pretty much using this in a fight give me tons of vigor (bleed = vigor).. not to mention the team support aspect of it… although don’t waste this if fighting a class with lots of stuns and knock backs.
Death shroud resing and stomping is awesome.. Also since you have 4.25 seconds of stability you have 100% stability when stomping and resing (unless they are getting hit) also to note.. you can cast Doom while resing and stomping in DS and not cancel the stomp/res.
Can actually kill people in 1v1 battles. Unlike some other pure defense bunkers you will actually be able to kill people in 1v1 battles. Keep in mind this build is built for pure defense.
Other Notes
Please feel free to switch well of corruption for spectral armor if you feel you need another stun break.. but most of the time I find that one is fine.

Here is a build I have been using to bunker for a while. You can use this to bunker side or mid or far. This is going to be posted in 2 posts since I kind of made it long.
It is based on Wells, Death Shroud, Boon duration and Healing power. See the build link below. Ill also try to explain some of my choices.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vQAQNAnYWjk0UUbNN+0wfbCQSB2WPp47xpe4O7nD-TsAgzCmI8S1lrLjXyds7M+Y9x0AA
Armor
Amulet: You can switch between clerics and shamans amulet pretty freely depending on the team comp you are facing or what you are more comfortable with. Neither make a huge difference in how the build plays or feels.
Runes: 2 water, 2 earth, 2 monk. These were chosen to get maximum Boon duration and protection duration.
Weapons
Staff: Because of the Soul Mark trait this is used for more than the marks its also used as a good way to get Life force. Use Mark of Blood as much as possible for the regen and Life Force gain.
Chilblains is good to keep people out of the point longer and help with your survivability because of the chill.
Putrid Mark is one of your condition removers.. don’t spam this.. or waste to get LF.
Reapers mark is good to knock people out of points (although the 1 second time make it so unless they are at the edge they won’t get knocked out.) and save people from getting stomped.
Main Axe:Rending claws is pretty much useless (so just let it auto attack if you don’t have any skills to use).
Ghastly Claws is a good tool to get Life Force or help burst down an opponent (assuming your team can coordinate), try to use as much as possible to get Life Force.
Unholy feast the main reason I use Axe. This skill is multi-function skill. This give you retaliation (which helps vs fast hitting classes like thiefs and engineers.) Removes 1 Boon from opponents.. which helps during team fights and also cripples opponents which allows you to keep people out of points longer.
Offhand Dagger: Deathly Swarm another must for this build. This is another way to get rid of conditions. Not to mention it also blinds.
Enfeebling blood.. keeps you alive longer vs any power based classes.. mostly vs warriors and thieves.
Notice all my weapon choices are ranged weapons. You do not want to be fighting in melee range vs people if you don’t have too.
Explanation of Traits
Death Magic: 20% boon duration and 200 toughness
IV (Ritual Of Protection): Since this build uses a lot of wells having this trait is a must.
VI (Shrouded Removal): Until recently I was using Greater Marks and then I realized.. unless I am fighting another bunker that this trait is pretty much useless. So I figured more condition removal is also good so I choose this trait.
Blood Magic: 200 Vitality and 200 Healing power
III (Mark of Evasion): 7 second regen and 3% life force possible every 10 seconds if you dodge into your opponent (but if you don’t dodge into them it still puts the mark down for them to either avoid/run through/dodge roll though).
VIII (Ritual Mastery): 20% cool down on wells.. this helps with your heal and all the other wells.. this is a must
Soul Reaping: 30% More Crit dmg (useless) and 30% more LF (awesome)
II (Vital Persistence): This helps a lot.. the degrade of LF is too fast without it.. and I can’t live without this trait.
X (Soul Marks): 3% life force per mark.. this include the mark from the Mark of Evasion trait… with this trait the staff if by far easiest and safest way to get Life Force
XI (Foot In the Grave): This is a must.. Stability is needed for a bunker.. (for other who say its not never fought a top team)
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Plague form can be used as a 20 second well of darkness
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
“Damage taken while in death shroud will now overflow to the necromancer’s health pool if the damage taken is greater than the remaining life force.”
Pretty much makes DS useless for absorbing burst damage now unless you have full LF now.
I am just hoping that “Fixed a bug that caused the necromancer to take increased damage from direct attacks while in death shroud.” the bug was like 50% more dmg so that at least we don’t feel the effect that much.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
The only 2 marks necros should pre laydown (at least in my opinion) is Mark of Blood and Chillblains. Also if a necro casts all of his marks at once do what ron said above, dodge into them none of the effects will trigger on you. Then once you do that the necro has his marks on cool down anymore for at at least 20 seconds (unless you chill them and screw them over even more), not counting Mark of Blood since that has a 6 second cooldown. Also Putrid Mark and Reapers Mark both have their own unique symbols in the center of the mark. Mark of Blood and Chillblains share a symbol. So you can even choose which marks you get rid of with dodge rolls.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
The one thing I notice when I read a lot of balancing threads is that people try to balance a single build of a class without taking into consideration the impact it has other other builds of the class. For example: Necro has power based and condition based builds. Most condition based builds will take master of terror as it is a good source of dmg. However Power based builds wont touch that trait at all. Meaning condition based builds use fear as a dmg source/interrupt/gap maker and power base builds use fear as an interrupt/gap maker. With the duration of fear as it is now (no increased duration) using fear as an interrupt/gap maker is on par with Knockback/Knockdown/Daze/Stun. If you lower the base to 66% of all fear it will no longer be on par at least for a gap maker. Which, at least for me, would screw over some of my builds.
If you want to nerf fear duration in a condition build I would recommend that fear duration should not be affected by condition duration but by fear duration only (kind of like Stun/Daze). This way you would force the necromancer to go into a terror based build with longer fear durations or a terror based build with shorter fear duration but has access to burning. This would mean there would be a 30/30/10 build still but also a 10/30/10/0/20 build.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
I play Necro, usually a team support/bunker build and I depend on staff #4 (putrid mark) and Dagger #4 (Deathly Swarm) to get rid of conditions as I use Well of Blood to heal and don’t have consume conditions to depend on. Lately (since the newest patch) I have noticed that I am having trouble getting rid of bleeds/poison when fighting condition builds, at least in 1v1 and sometimes 2v1 fights (me being the 1).
I do understand that they nerfed putrid mark to only remove 3 conditions per target (atleast in spvp since it kind of was OP), although I don’t think it was not listed in the patch notes, but now I can’t seem to get rid of bleeds/poisons reliably when fighting a low amount of people who can spam almost every condition. I am guessing that they added some condition removal order or a condition transfer order where bleed/poison is last on the list. Soo my first question is: Can anyone confirm/deny this? (because maybe its all in my head).
But here is another thought (if this is true), could this also be the reason why conditions seem to be really OP after this patch? If people can’t get rid of bleeds/poison anymore reliably how can anyone fight against condition builds? If necros/ranger/engies/mesmers can spam you with other conditions and you use a condition removal that removes 6 conditions (say fighting 2 people and using putrid mark) although bleed was applied first you don’t remove that and still continue to take damage. (all the while they are stacking more bleeds on you so you take more damage). Again maybe all of this is my imagination….
If this is the case, and there is some removal order could Anet at least put bleed/poison in the middle of the list so that it can actually be removed when fighting condition spam opponents?
If you get through my wall-o-text and have any input please reply!
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Also ill have to disagree with the lack of stability. Necro has the most direct access to stability of any class (Stability for 3 seconds while going into death shroud….. which has a 10 second cool down as soon as you leave it). What we do lack is long sustained stability durations like Guardian, Ele and Warrior (I am not counting elites). But this also means since we don’t have access to a super long stability we have to be careful and think when we want to use it. Pretty much don’t use your DS unless you need to block a giant burst, as a dodge to block a knockback/stun if you see it coming), or fear some one off a point and if you do don’t stay in it long (although if you get the timing down you can also try for the fear right at the end of DS5)
If you’re willing to devote 30 trait points, a grandmaster trait, and a master trait to it, Necros can have some decent access to stability. That’s a pretty big investment, though, and it generally forces you into a power build lest you waste a massive portion of your trait points. Most other professions can get Stability for longer durations with less of an investment, and they don’t have to just sit on their profession mechanic to use it.
I agree if you are playing as a condition/power burst build you really don’t have access to stability. But as a bunker/tankier build that is one of the best traits you can take and which makes (at least in my opinion) a necro capable of bunkering quite well.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
Oooo i want to fight the build that killed his bunker in 15 seconds! What class was it? (My guess is was a thief? s/d more than likely?)
It was my necro….. running the build he said multiple times in this very thread is terrible. Anyway point is guardian would of lasted much long same with an eng if I could even manage the solo kill same with ele. He died fast for a few reason but mainly no stability.
I have to admit I really didn’t read many of the posts in this thread (too many wall of texts). But from a brief overview of the topic are you talking about the 30/30/10/0/0 build? Id like to face you

I do like that you are playing devils advocate, necro community is full of level headed adults.
He has trolled me multiple times he is one of the reason I dont post much in the necro forums. I tried to make post your builds and their target job threads before, this dude trolled it until anet deleted I doubt he or anyone remembers it was months ago. If another necro has an idea that is getting good feedback he will come into the thread and start kitten. He rages at anyone getting good feedback that is not him.
Also as stated many times his builds are not meta they are also not his builds, they are decent mess around builds for spvp. I’m not actually knocking the builds for what they are, I have an issue with his mis-information as he has a habit of flaming anyone that posts a real meta build.
15 seconds his bunker was melted 1 v 1 it would of been under 10 seconds in a 2 v 1 situation. This is a truth and its not insulting to point it out that the reason other classes are used for team bunker role is because of their ability to handle DD and condi.
Oooo i want to fight the build that killed his bunker in 15 seconds! What class was it? (My guess is was a thief? s/d more than likely?)

from that website with best gear possible. 1904 condition damage with Consumables. Then add another +250 from stacks and 875 from might. Gives you a max of 3029

I am bored some 1 come duel me behind FABL windmill!
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
I use an AOE vampire build which allows for easy AOE farming (can easily kill 5 karka in southsun cove), taking WvW supply camps and tanking dungeons. Also with the traits selected its very easy to change to a different roll when not needed (which is outlined below).
The weapons I use are dagger/warhorn and axe/focus. (The axe/focus I switch in/out only when I need too). The Locust swarm on the warhorn leeches a lot of life so I use it often. Plus dagger auto attack leeches a ton of life. I use half Soldier and Half knights gear and with food that gives me ~43% chance to crit. ~26000HP, ~2800 armor and ~2000 power. (food = master maintenance oil and omnoberry pie)
The build uses 3 wells (sometimes 4 if u count well of blood). The utilities and trait selection is here:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQUQNBIhDbkRLUvSTTjePBIpAbrnewt3jHp44lB
Also here is a video I took a while back of me attacking a supply camp solo.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBXIKlJaP7U
Also this build can be easily modified to use a staff for a more ranged build.. (you just loose some life steal) you do this by equipping a staff (over axe/focus) and changing the following major traits:
Curses:
VII to IX: Warhorn Cooldown to Wells use ground targeting

I can’t wait to coat my hammer with TC brain matter.
Jokes on you us Zombie Coasters have no brains!

I dont believe siphon builds can work currently in spvp/tpvp due to the amulets not giving you the stats you need to support it, and you have no access to omnomberry ghosts either.
I usually run vamp builds in wvw/pve because I also like the playstyle, and even though the traits are pretty crummy, it can work if you have 20 in blood with ll and V, high toughness, and omnomberry ghosts for extra siphons.
The ideal stats for survival with vamp is knights(toughness/power/prec), but in spvp for some reason that amulet doesnt exist, so yeah… no bueno.
is there a internal cooldown on the omnomberry ghosts life siphon?
I know Sigil of blood has a 2 second. And I am not sure on the Vamperic Precision trait.

TC exploiting the invulnerable spots. This guy would hang around lowlands kill people and then run back to the spot when he got in any danger. I made sure to emote at him a lot since they like it so much.
It was in SBI boarder lands and you guys kept Zerging lowlands as I was trying to solo cap it (because almost no other TCers were on the map it seemed). And no I didn’t kill anyone the most I would do it Down them because I know its wrong lol. (just ask the SBI people that were there too lol)
You expect me just stand there and let the 20 of you kill me?
You had more than enough time to kill me as I was running from the camp to the spot!
Also on a side note does Arena Net ban for people doing that? If so I am JK that was not me. If they don’t ban yes that was me.

Seriously SoR? Camping the TC entrance on SBI borderlands.. 1 treb, 1 cata, 2 ballista, 1 golem and 40+ people….are you serious.. I thought u had more class than this.
Are you guys really at the point you have to Grief us to have fun?
I just lost all respect I had for you guys.
…
……….
So the also blocked both of the other exits too?
Someone didn’t bother reading the other posts i posted below this 1.

Your tears make us stronger.
Tell us more about respect and class. It takes a lot of these things to cry about being beaten at a video game.
Yes because who is doing the Spawn camping really matters….. wait no.. I don’t care if it is the last or first place team spawn camping is just classless.
Necro Alt – Spazza The Troll
There are also 2 other exits you can take. Which your server did take advantage of.
Yes we could leave 2 other places (and did).. but why do you feel the need to spawn camp. Its just bad etiquette.

My general problem with roaming without stealth/blink, is that if you run into really bad odds, your roaming ends right there. If you are doing well and successfully picking people off, eventually you will catch the attention of a zerg of 10+, and when that arrives, without stealth, you are in deep trouble.
I much prefer roaming on my necro from a playstyle perspective than my mesmer, but my mesmer can get away 80% of the time. When I pair up with a thief its about 95% of the time. We wait for that zerg to move on and continue roaming. Were I on my necro, I would lay dead on the ground for about 10 mins for people to stop jumping on my body and my thief allie to come res me.
Once your party size gets in to 5-10 range for allies it is all fine at that point. Roaming in that size group is the necro sweet spot.
Your forgetting about the Necros escape plan….Cliff Diving (And I am serious its an awesome way to escape)

I don’t think increasing the size of maps will help. People will still group together and go take a keep, camp, tower, or castle while in a zerg. Also right now I hear complains about WvW maps being to large. Which in some cases I agree with (but I don’t think the size needs to be changed).. I mean you got to run for ~5 minutes to get from your spawn (assuming you are not on your home borderlands) to a northern tower. I would imagine this would really kitten off small groups and solo players because when they die they would have to run even further. At least if your in a zerg and die you have a better chance of being rezed.
As for changing the point system.. I can’t agree with this. If you were to give points on capturing keeps, towers or castles no one would defend. There would be no reason too. People would just take it, let it get taken and then take it again.
Also a full server can’t fit in a WvW map (I think there is a cap of 133 people? Can someone confirm this) per Borderlands (166 for EB?) . And I don’t recall ever seeing a 133 person zerg (at least on my server).
