Can the developpers please stop ignoring us?

If you crash at DS just use 64 bit client.
Sadly the 64 bit client doesn’t help everyone as people are still reporting crashes when they use it. It’s a memory usage problem, all the 64 bit client does is delay crashing by giving the game access to more memory to flounder in, so it’s more a band-aid than an actual solution.
I’ve crashed at least 6 times after switching to the beta client. 3 times at the end of the mouth fight, 2x approaching the towers and once literally on a dead map harvesting flax and pods when I set down a TP (which btw, was a total waste of that tp because it disappeared when I crashed).
This isn’t just me either. All of my guildmates have reported in guild chat that even after the beta 64bit client they don’t go into DS because of crashes. Anet needs to address this, and they just aren’t.
been on the 64 bit client on a PC with far over the recommended specs for HoT and STILL Dc’ing at the end of this very long event with no hope of accessing the merchants otherwise. My gf has a top of the line custom PC and the 64 bit client and the same issue. She dc’d four times at the mouth fight and won’t even try the meta again anymore until she’s sure it’s fixed.
Edit: Yes, I’m sure I want to bump this old topic. Because it’s still very relevant to not just me, but many members of my guild and other players in general.
This has already been implemented once in the case of the molten facility, so perhaps it can be implemented again.
I understand that from a story perspective, the living world has to become unplayable after it it has finished it’s arc, otherwise changes to the open world would not be able to happen. However, I think it might satisfy the story-focused community more to have certain special event instances— like Canach’s lair, and killing Scarlet, available as Fractals of the Mists, so that newer players could experience key moments in the story’s history.
Just map completed Silverwastes on a character with 100% main tyria world completion and got no reward…
Oh wow, my bad. I guess since I had the wings equipped I never noticed. Thanks for setting me straight! That solves my question.
Just a simple suggestion to help make gliders more personalized while keeping from needing to introduce dozens of glider skins all at once.
What a wonderful thread, I’ll be bookmarking this to help out whenever I can. <3
I’ve been eyeing three skin sets since I first saw them but just haven’t had the cash to put into the game, so if anyone feels generous or has some extra gems lying around for a Phoenix, Trickster or Aetherblade light armor set, I’d be very grateful ;u;
Sorry about that, thanks for letting me know. Better?
I really want to be able to wear my guild armor and support my guild, however this keeps happening:

This isn’t about wanting “free new type boosters”. Why is a consistent game mechanic completely revolving around a short term buff?
Limit the stacking potential, then.
When the boosters were changed, all boosters were impacted except birthday and celebration boosts, making those boosters (which were originally the best boosters available) now worth far less than a standard booster, making them undesirable.
…the use of these extremely limited items…
I’ve got 99 problems, but a booster ain’t one.
Bruh, if you’ve got that many boosters, you’ve got over 30 character slots and I would assume boosters are the least of your worries.
That isn’t very constructive to the topic at hand though, which is, why are these boosts which are supposed to be super-cool boosts that we only get once a year still limited by the old booster experience types?
Does OP not realize that we have a separation of church and state in the USA?
Besides, if you’re going to use a single Leviticus quote to excuse your homophobia and say that the game is pandering to “politics”, you should probably also petition ANet to remove the following:
Bowl of Clam Chowder, Clam Cake, Plate of Frostgorge Clams (don’t eat shellfish)
Looting your enemies corpses, Necromancy in general (don’t touch the bodies of unclean animals)
The Elder Dragons (don’t touch lizards)
Fireflies, Sparkflies and mosquitoes (don’t touch flying insects with four legs)
All of the non-christian lore gods (don’t invent gods or idols)
Thief move “Steal” (don’t steal)
PVP (don’t endanger the life of your neighbor, don’t injure or kill others)
Armor repair (don’t tear your clothes)
Disguises and tonics (don’t lie)
That event in Queensdale where you have to pick up the trampled grapes (those are to be left for the poor)
The norn tattoos (don’t get tattoos)
Playing a caster class (turning to mediums or spiritualists)
Guild Halls (don’t sell land permanently)
So, since you haven’t mentioned any of that, can we just drop the ruse and stop pretending that this is about feeling threatened by the game’s lack of christianity and just admit that you’re being homophobic? Which, btw, is against the terms of service of this game if you want to get into the rules of the place you’re in right now.
When the new gemstore XP boosts were added/changed, there was no alteration to Birthday and Celebration boosters. I’m not sure if this is an oversight, but it does make the use of these extremely limited items far less appealing, and that’s honestly really lame for something that we only get once every 24 active days or once a year on a character for the Birthday boosts.
Can we get a buff to these boosts as well? Instead of leaving them as killstreak, WVW gain and gold-from-kills boosts? I’d love to see PVP Reward Track gain and EXP from all forms of the game, even if its not the flat 100% on XP once altered. Maybe add a Karma boost as well?
As far as I’ve seen, I haven’t found a tonic that has the same personalized effect that the strawberry ghost transformation does! It’d be fun to use as a real tonic, where you can choose when to end the transformation. (Endless would be wonderful, but hey, I’ll take what I can get)
But aren’t outfits supposed to be all in one costumes, that force you to copy a certain style, like Chef, and Shadow Assassin. They aren’t supposed to be your normal customisable armour.
I think they just made the outfits too good, and so people are using them instead of armour. A nice compromise would be introducing some similar armour based on what people like the most, but you should all be posting these as armour concepts and Anet should respond by introducing them. Whilst enabling outfit customisation is simpler, then what is the point of an outfit, other than to undermine the transmutation concept?
Outfits were introduced as a replacement for townclothes, which roleplayers in GW2 were immensely fond of. It enables you to have your characters wearing casual clothes with a simple click. Tonics aren’t dyeable and haven’t been a suitable fix or replacement, so outfits fill that role.
We can choose not to show the shoulders on our normal armor, please let us hide it on outfits!! +1
It’s pretty kitten underhanded that we get 20-minute variants for spending 10 silver each to convert our old boosters.
They should have left the old boosters alone. Not given us weak 20 minute versions of new boosters and removed the karma option.
/sigh.
ANet. They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity to not mess up.
The old boosters are still available for the full hour in the enchanted reward boosts. They are the blue boosters rather than the yellow ones. Only the new ones are 20 minute boosters to balance their 50% bonus effects.
I’m definitely miffed about the karma loss. Hopefully this is an oversight.
The RP chat suggestion is horrible. How would anyone find and join RP randomly, and meet new RPers, if you need to be invited to know anyone is doing it at all.
I can understand the potential problem that presents.
What about a toggleable RP chat channel in addition to the multi-person PMs?
If there were a toggleable RP chat channel, all a person would need to do is toggle it on to join open RPs and the multi-person PM window would be used for closed RP’s.
Maybe adding function on the LFG tool for RPers as well as a dedicated chat would go a long way to taxing people onto certain maps for RPing.
That’s a fantastic idea.
You get Spirit Shards.
Not for leveling you don’t.
Forgive me, I guess I’m mistaken. I assumed that since Tomes of Knowledge now give level 80s Spirit Shards, that you get them for leveling as well.
You get Spirit Shards.
Hey there, forum.
I’ve had a few thoughts brewing as anticipation grows for Heart of Thorns. I had initially thought of giving each its own topic, but they’re honestly such small suggestions that I think it would be easier to cover them all at once. So here goes.
Make Sylvari facial-bark(?) its own character-creation category.
Facial hair for all other races is separated from the face choice, so I don’t understand why the same can’t be true of Sylvari. I know their bark colors are going to need to draw from the skin tone, but it shouldn’t be that hard to link the two. There are many faces that I think would benefit from adding or removing facial bark at the player’s whim.
Replay Personal Story option
Even if there is no way to change the choices you’ve made and experience other options, the ability to go back and relive the adventure without recreating the character would be something that would extend the life of the game for those of us who enjoy personal story.
Multi-Person/Group PM System or “RP” Chat
This is a fairly complicated request, I’m sure, so hear me out for a moment.
A lot of the Non-RP population of Guild Wars has expressed their dislike of the RP players using Say chat to RP. The megaserver shift was hard for those who tried to keep to RP servers only, and party chat and guild chat are both incredibly limiting for different reasons. Party chat causes a hard limit of 5 people, meaning that friends can’t spectate or participate in larger RPs. Guild chat has the opposite problem. Being that it broadcasts over multiple maps, you’d have several RPs to wade through while trying to respond to one.
Putting in a group chat system where players can be invited to a PM window with other users would fix this entirely. It would get the RP chat out of Say and Emotes, keeping the Non-RP population happy while allowing RPers the ability to RP with as many or as few people as they want. It would also benefit Non-RPers through allowing customizable chat windows for large or small-scale events.
Allow double-click deposit or drag-to-stack in Guild Bank
I’m not sure if this is a bug or an oversight, but for as long as I’ve been playing, guild members have had to take a partial stack out of the guild bank before adding their contribution and putting it back, and that is very frustrating for a few reasons. Mostly, though, it makes the ability for lower-ranked guild members to deposit without withdrawing from certain sections completely useless.
Guild Materials Storage
A mat storage area, but guild owned. Many guilds will pitch in to gear up a new player or level a member’s crafting, so it would be awesome to see a mat area that we can allow certain ranks to access.
Remove 250 stack cap on account-bound materials
(ie: Bloodstone dust, charged quartz etc)
They’re account bound, so there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be allowed to hoard them without impunity.
That’s all I have! I hope that you wonderful folks at ANet will take these into consideration, and fellow players, I’d love to hear what you think!

Ive been checking maps incessantly for the last few days. Never is this guy in the bladder spot in camp resolve.
I fully agree with bryony, but at least give us dyeable town-clothes outfits…
Amazing insight, Guzzi.
Update: I went to my next story mission and the cutscene was garbled. There was no sound for a majority of the scene, and when audio did cut in, it had lines that didn’t belong to that cutscene.
http://puu.sh/gagj1/e5904e15b4.jpg I only managed to grab one screenshot where the words were underneath, but it simply showed my character’s name instead of the transcription unlike how I saw this scene unfold in my friend’s cutscene a few minutes previous.
But I already chose a separate path is the thing. It’s not like I accepted his progress when he chose to join Order of Whispers.
I joined the Priory, he joined the Order, and we both went on to the next common cutscene, and then my story merged with his.

These screenshots show the new inconsistincies
(edited by Tawniey.3796)
A friend and I had been playing personal story missions together, doing the common missions and then assisting each other with our unique choices.
We got to the point where we chose an order, and I chose the priory and he chose the order of whispers. We’re both really into the lore of our characters and these were important personal choices.
We both then had the common mission of “setting the stage” and so we went to it together, but when we left, I got aligned to Order of Whispers. I’d delete and recreate my character but he’s already level 80 and fully geared. This is really disappointing. I already chose the Priory but somehow the track got switched and now I’m stuck in this story path. Can this be fixed?
I feel kinda bad necro-bumping this thread, but I had a suggestion that might make the whole gear-inspection work without elitist jerks ruining things.
What if you could set your gear-inspect to public, private, or mutual friends?
Default could be private, but it would allow people to show off items they’ve worked hard for, skins, dyes, or just allow people to see their stats, it would allow friends to share dyes or just armor specs without linking each piece of gear, and you could still keep it to yourself.
I’m having the exact same problem, and none of the previously posted solutions are working. This is getting really frustrating.
