I was expecting them to release swimsuits in GW2 as outfits this summer but im surprised that they havent yet. Its the summer! Lets have the option to wear a Faren speedo or Kasmeer bikini as an outfit for gems (id honestly pay 20 bucks for it easily). Just a suggestion.

I feel like the story would feel much more alive if the dynamic events around places like the destroyed Kessex hills, the “fixed” southsun cove or the aetherblade labs forged, fort salma, etc. were updated. Update the map its in, make the dynamic events in that area seem more alive and not “Hey, theres a kitten krait tower of nightmares in the middle of my town, but I need some hay. Go get me some hay for the 21356892934624969th time.” I’d personally LOVE if there were updated dynamic events that dont seem so out of place from the “updated” maps or updated parts of the map.

So I just noticed that the dragon that crashed our summit has the same model as the boss in the sylvari start zone “The Dream”. Does this mean that sylvari’s dream was to actually slay mordremoth?

Rytlock and Eir were shown this episode, and slightly Zojja but not really. So thats ~.5. Wheres logan and caithe? What are they up to? How does logan feel about the queen going to the summit? Whats up with caithe?

Its really bothering me how I need to buy multiple picks (about 2400 gems worth) to have it on my level 80s when it could be account bound. Arenanet, please make molten alliance picks account bound. Its bothering me how its soulbound when tons of other gem store items are account bound that are much cheaper

Not necessarily the case. Probably just not a high priority since the invasions are permanent so they add it later.

By most accounts the number of PvE players vastly outnumber WvW+PvP players but PvE players have no reason to buy the finishers they just added. If they make it work with the Twisted mobs(and probably similar mechanics in the future) I am pretty sure it will generate enough sales for finishers to justify the cost.

What do you think Scarlet will do now that we reverted her funhouse back to the crown pavilion? Keep in mind that she did NOT die, she escaped when she got defeated. So that monster is still out there. What do you think she will do next?

My prediction:

From reading the mini-story article about Scarlet and what’s been happening in the game, I predict that she will try to convert sylvari into a new court, with her own beliefs that follows neither the pale tree nor the nightmare court. She will try to form an army of sylvari rebels that don’t want to be associated with the pale tree or nightmare court (maybe the Soundless).

She will get the inquest to join her side as well, providing extra technology and artillery for her army. (She will also have the aetherblades and twisted watchknights on her side as well since they are already on her side) This process would be done in the shadows and for 2-4 weeks there wont be any news of what Scarlet is doing, but there will be other hints that the Peacemakers and Wardens will eventually figure out (such as wardens seeing more inquest traveling near some suspicious areas in Astorea, thereby asking the Peacemakers from Rata Sum for some reinforcement in Caledon Forest)

Once the rumors of a possible war/invasion is confirmed, the chaos that Scarlet always wanted would begin. Asagai, a retired iron legion charr that tried ending Scarlet earlier, will try to gather iron legion troops to stop the invading forces and scarlet’s minions. The Shining Blade will side with the Wardens, Peacemakers, and the Iron Legion as well.

A son/daughter of Omadd will also bring the College of Synergetics together to construct technology that will help the Peacemakers, Wardens, Shining Blade and Iron Legion to seek revenge against Scarlet for killing Omadd.

Reasoning for these predictions:
-Scarlet and the Inquest got along so it would make sense if they sided with her

-Scarlet constructed the Twisted army and hired aetherblades so it would make sense if they sided with her

-It would make sense if there was a big war because in the article she wanted for there to be chaos, and for a continent to fall, etc.

-It would make sense for her to try to get sylvari rebels to join her since she doesn’t like neither the Nightmare Court or the Pale tree (read the article)

-It would make sense for the Wardens and Peacemakers to try to stop her, since the Peacemakers kicked her out of Rata Sum in the first place and she hates the Pale Tree.

-It would make sense for the Shining Blade and Iron Legion to try to stop her, since she tried capturing Queen Jennah, and she betrayed an old iron legion soldier.

Hey. Gods of the Dead [Gods] is a PvE/WvW guild on the server Crystal Desert. We are looking for more members from ANY server to join our ranks and help this guild grow. We are full of social, active, and friendly people that love doing events, dungeons, roaming, etc. together. We are very versatile when it comes to content. THE BASICS FOR OUR GUILD:

We do not have many requirements, but we are a rep-required guild (meaning that we require that you represent strictly to this guild.) We also require that you are at least civil when it comes to conversing in the guild, and are fairly active as well in Guild Wars 2.

Our current guild upgrades consist of Guild Bounty and Guild Trek. We are currently improving on our guild upgrades and hope to have Guild Bounty and Guild Challenge shortly.

THE PvE SIDE OF OUR GUILD:

We do many dungeons but are not elitists when it comes to dungeons. We like taking newer people through dungeon paths (story, explorable, either one.) and we also do FotM as well (around levels 10-30 atm)

We constantly notify and encourage people when world bosses are up so they can get their daily chests in as well.

We are casual and helpful and you can ask any questions you need to ask as well as take you through things you may need help with.

Constant buffs are up that will provide you magic find and karma and xp boosts, as well as banners in lions arch from time to time.

We are looking for ANY PvE’er to join our ranks, from casual to hardcore, we are very versatile.

THE WvW SIDE OF OUR GUILD:

We do WvW nights as a guild 3 times a week.

We do daily roaming groups ranging from 2-10 (we have lots of thieves, xD) in mainly EB and CDBL. (We are also one of the better roaming guilds in Crystal Desert)

We are more “hardcore” when it comes to WvW compared to PvE

We are part of the Crystal Desert Alliance and we have 6 commanders. (Thieftix, Reçkless, Sugah Cane, Short Buss Allstar, Neptune Avenger and Reikoi.)

Speculation: It is the Shining Blade and a special new living story character (or maybe Rox, but I wouldn’t understand why Rox is in DR) at the Great Collapse, getting ready to make a new area and fixing the great collapse and/or getting ready to explore the depths of the great collapse

I feel like arenanet should add more story on destiny’s edge, ESPECIALLY Caithe, Zojja and Eir. We’ve seen Logan Thackary and Rytlock in some of the living story, but none of Caithe, Zojja or Eir. While on the topic of them, I’ve also noticed that there isn’t really many sylvari/asura/norn characters in the living story thus far, maybe just Braham and Canach but that was it. I would like to see what Caithe, Zojja and Eir have been doing since the death of Zhaitan and give more liveliness or information other than just knowing that they are in your home instance 100% of the time.

I really hope that eventually they will expand towards the way that cantha is then eventually to cantha.

That’s bad. It’s too exploitable, I’m not sure we need one more way to farm, and so on, but the main issue is something else.

RNG is bad. The reason why dungeons give tokens and not a chance for random drops is because the “rare item drop” system is ultimately unfair – someone who does a dungeon a lot of times can get nothing, while the person who did it once and was mostly carried by the rest of the team could get the place’s most desired item.

Some parts of the GW2 original design made a point in trying to avoid this kind of RNG – dynamic events not only always give the same rewards, but they also reward you based on contribution; map completition gives more or less the same rewards (as in, you know if you will get exotics, rares, or masterwork items), and so on.

At the same time, the original GW2 design also had a lot of very stupid RNG (ectoplasm, Mystic Toilet, ectoplasm, all the RNG in the gem store, ectoplasm and so on). In this we can see how different designers had different opinions on applying fair content or not to the game.

But in the end, it’s a bad system from which we should see less, not more.

My main focus wasn’t really on a money making system, my main focus is that people are more lively in maps other than WvW and the cities. They put DYNAMIC events on the game for a reason. They put SCALING on for a reason. Yet, most dynamic events to people are useless once they hit 80 and/or get their obsidian shards. It bothers me how arenanet put thousands of dynamic events in the game, when only a handful of them are worth the time. I just felt like making it a good source of money would attract more people into doing them instead of having random newcomers just walking up to a camp they need to go to but instead finding 20 dead NPC’s and a big champion standing in his way. I do understand where you are coming from though.

From my point of view, ArenaNet has already failed. They made a manifesto with their intention, and they didn’t really managed to accomplish most of what they stated as their goal.

Does this mean Guild Wars 2 is a bad game? For some people, yes. For others, no. For me, yes.

Its only been about 10 months. I understand that you were saddened that by release their manifesto didn’t match with the game content provided, but they indirectly stated that the things they stated were their GOALS. Goals are things set to be accomplished in the future.

Champs should not drop guaranteed rares- makes them too farmable.

Any loot overhaul should not reinforce the idea of farming, but instead allow a player to just play the game while naturally accruing the mats they need or want. Concentrating rewards anywhere is a bad idea.

Champs should give/have a better loot table, but more along the lines of guaranteed tier whatever crafting materials/multiple bags/slightly increased monetary drops/ possible uncommon food items/ slightly increased chance for lodestones-cores-slivers/ recipes/ boosts/ slightly increased drops of rares and exotics/ blc keys etc etc.

I was specifically stating champions from group DE’s, and also, arenanet tries not to force upon grind, but it is near impossible to make an MMO WITHOUT a direct source of grind to gain coin.

Ikr, I went to divinity’s reach on my new character when gw2 first launched because I couldn’t wait to play the carnival games, but then I talked to the npc and she said it was closed. Arenanet, please activate them >_<! (The only working minigame they talked about was keg toss)

Before you read this, I would like to express that this is a suggestion and an opinion that I feel like would both benefit the players of Gw2 and arenanet as well.

First of all, lets be honest. Most of the time when you kill a champion, the loot received is complete crap that you could get from a normal mob just as quickly. You’ve probably have seen either on an alt or your main that in most, if not all of the zones in Tyria have group events that haven’t been touched in hours or even days of champions just sitting there, with about 5-10 npcs lying dead next to him. Why these events aren’t touched? Because champions are a waste of time and useless.

So, how can we fix this issue and possibly even make your game experience better? We can make champions GARUNTEE a rare or greater drop, more money than you would get from a regular event, and possibly even for some champions, unique loot.

For example, say you kill a Champion First Mate in eh… Genderran Fields. He would first of all, either drop a rare or better of your level and good coin, but he would also have a possible chance to drop new, unique loot (maybe a possible pirate headpiece that would be a new design.) That would:
1. Give a new method of farming.
2. Bring in new, varied items in the game that would be valuable on the trading post.
3. Give events value, meaning that more people would be in more zones and event chains might ACTUALLY finally not have to always be on the failed portion of it.
4. Give a more unique attire to some people due to new items dropping from champions.

So arenanet, instead of putting all of these “amazing” events that you have been working on for years on the game and just seeing them not being touched months after the game has released, you should give them an actual value and reward for finishing a group event, making people feel like they’ve accomplished something from doing an event?

I know what is throwing you off, its the lack of armor stats. Im sorry, but pve is different than pvp :/. Arenanet wants pvp to be as balanced as possible so they made pvp armor have no stats and have it be in the runes/jewels/traits.

Yup, it won’t be every 3 months, it’ll be every 4. Or more likely they’ll just lie and do it before than with an excuse. If you lie once and delete all the grind casual players put in for exotics they thought would last, no harm in lying again!

First of all, they didnt lie a first time. If you ACTUALLY read it, it states that it is NOT a gear treadmill.

You copy & paste that developer post without any comment in this thread in he first place, something which has been done before multiple times. Next you obviously have not read any of the concerns posted by hundreds of people here, not to mention trying to understand where they’re coming from. I have read te concerns, and I do understand where they are coming from. In a matter of fact, at one point I was one of the concerned. Yes, I have. I know, they are adding more ascended gear, but that isnt treadmill. It is lower class than legendary, according to arenanet, who MADE the game. Legendaries are currently the same stats as exotics.

There will also be ascended gear that has other stat combinations other than magic find. I have a hunch they showed the magic find because the power/prec differences will be LOWER than if you showed berserker or rampager or any other stat combo. Each piece of gear level 65+ has 3 stats, 1 major stat, and 2 lesser stats.

I didnt say same stat. I said legendaries are better. That means appearance and that extra 80 attack.

Why is everyone freaking out and acting like this is “God 1 hit everything” gear? its only 8 more stat points, 3% magic find, and You cannot even apply a talisman/rune to it. Not to mention that the stats are ONLY power/prec/magic find. Also, it has similarities to legendaries. And yes, legendaries ARE better than exotics, even though it isnt by much. So basically, this gear is only good for dungeons since there is agony condition.

It’s not just one tier, in that post by arenanet, it’s the FIRST level that is coming, which implies there will be more coming and all future armors coming will be using the ascended system.

I’m not sure if this is true but wasn’t there a similar case how someone and his guild destroyed Everquest being the vocal minority and such demanding more content and such and eventually left the game? Could be wrong on this though.
Also, Even if they added no gear treadmill at all, there could still be lots of complaints about lack of end-game and lack of this and that and players will have left because there’s some players who don’t want to just hunt for skins. If they really care about their work and want players to use em or admire em especially the dungeon armors, they should at least add an ascended version or ascended drops on hard mode if there ever will be, otherwise the dungeons are going to be left in the dust in favor of the better gear-dungeon and I don’t believe that there is alot of players using transmutation stones for the skins, if one would do many runs of a dungeon to get some particular skin then go ahead, if not then head on to get ascended gear.

I don’t mind the new tier myself but it feels like they did so much for almost nothing, I personally don’t know many players in favor of getting skins rather than better stat-wise gear.
But ah well, I’ll wait till update

Too many people are kittening dramatic about this. How about you stop complaining and raging and flaming until you ACTUALLY PLAY THE NEW UPDATE. Maybe it isnt as bad and everyone here is exaggerating? It isnt even broken promises anyways.

I can buy exotics off the TP, I now have to grind a dungeon to get new gear with better stats and an infusion slot, a now required defense, in order to progress effectively in the dungeon. I didn’t mind grinding a dungeon for skins, I wasn’t bothered when I couldn’t make a run, but this is different.

It was the same before anyways. Its not REQUIRED defense, its a helpful defense. Just like running dungeons with exotics. Its not REQUIRED, but its helpful. If you run dungeons with white armor you are kittened.

Imagine this:
- Exotic Tier wasn’t released during game launch.
- They implant a new tier called exotic in-between rare and legendary on Nov 15.

Isn’t it going to be the same?
There’s no gear treadmill element in this.

Anet still live up to it’s promises. You will still able to explore all content with any tier equipments. It’s not like traditional mmo treadmill where you must get gear X to experience content X. In GW2, you’re able to experience 100% of the content.
