Just ask a guildie / anyone (lfg-tool) who has got the episode to invite you to his/her group and replay the mission. If you like it, buy it for the achievenments and rewards.

Healing is pointless if you don’t consider buffing, cleansing and debuffing… power is meaning less with out buff, you can have max power, max crit damage and max crit, PvE weakness just screw you if you don’t cleanse it. You can heal 20 000/s but if you get 2 stack of agony you heal 0/s that’s how it is, poison reduce healing by 33%, agony 50%.
So it’s because of the lack of knowledge, skill, reflection or common sense that you wasted your time… pick the ones you like.
My warrior if full berserker, my necro is full cleric (imba heal 2k hp/s, protection, blind, cleanse, debuff)

And it were not really splinter groups :o I’m pretty sure I killed more flame legion, dredge, nightmare court, krait and pirates during those attaks than my entire life (maybe not flame legion, because I’m a charr and because of CoF, and dredge, because of fractals….) only the Inquest seems not really that involved. And if you recall, we had to kill all the 3 krait witches, so at least the krait in those area are involved wich is over 60%, the other 40% are zombies…
Scarlet took the Nightmare tree in TA, wich is NC main hideout and tromp card.
She got a whole crew off pirates that had enough reach to almost have their capitain elected.

But, doing so, it strengthen the bonds of the Pact and help us to focus on the dragon by weakenning the minor threats. Moreover, she messed up with thaumanova years ago, why ? There is an ulterior motive, and back then it seems like the alliances were already done (at least molten) why wait so long ? She remembers me of Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass).
._. She actually spared a lot a life, if she really wanted chaos, she would have jammed the asuran gate (cf her cv) then launch the attaks.
And discrimination aside, he was a good person and restarted the economy of the entire world through destruction creating jobs for reconstructions that fuel consummation that incite investment that contribute to progress. Don’t say Hitler was a bad thing, overall, only 60 millions of people died for the sake of all the survivors with a way brighter future than the one they could have had without WW2. If today, with the sacrifice of 100 millions of people including me, my familly and all my friends, I can restart the economy and give a huge push to progress, I’ll do it even if I have to be remembered as a psychotic dictator that odered mass murder.
Anyway, back to Scarlet, the union of the lesser threat allowed to reduce them much more efficiently than separated (that’s how america lost so many soldiers in viet nam), it is true that a lot of lives were lost suddendly, but if you consider the threat individually taking small amout of life everywhere during an undetermined time WHILE most of the heroes are focused on dragon, she actually chose to give us an open wound fracture than let us live with a cancer.
Even if it makes Mordremoth 20 times stronger, what if he woke up while the Pact is gone, we are gone, tyrians went back to guild wars because they don’t have any common ennemy. She woke it up to give us the opportunity to get rid of him while we are strong (haven’t fought the others yet) maybe he is pretty weak, but if he woke up when we are done with a few other dragon, we would lack the strengh to kill it, but if we wake him early with a slight boost, the amount of ressources left after killing it will be enough for the others.

And Zhaitan did a huge meal ticket, it was the Artesian Waters. I’m not sure if it is as strong as it use to be, but the Waters radiated enough magical energy to draw the Six’s attention to Tyria in the first place. Something that can’t be said for the ley line convergence.
And that’s why it’s a lesser evil to bump him up now rather than let him sip the ley lines further more ! The point is that the magic he got with that spike of magic is less than what he could have gathered if we let him be. Moreover, there is the possibility that he could have wake up a few years after the defeat of the 5 other dragon, while the Pact reactivity went in peace mode or worst, is disbanded.
I must say that once again, Scarlet is a nice person !

The time he could have wake up could be hundreds of years later than now, meanning he would have gathered more magic, more over, if it’s after we slayed the 5 dragons, there is no other dragon consumming magic than him, which means more magic flowing in the ley lines than thousand of year before ! It would be a gradual incrase so he won’t wake up until his sneeze can wipe tyria twice. But that sudden spike that woke him is nothing compared to how much magic he got through thousands years of sipping, yet it is sudden enough to wake him !

Hmmm you can think of magic as electicity, if you overload a system, it doesn’t give him extra meals, it fries the system. Likewise, he was sipping the leys of magic while the other dragon (at least Zhaïtan) was gathering magic items, then you overflow his “straw”, that woke him up with a little bit of choking. Moreover, he could have waken up way past the slaying of the other dragons, as a fail-safe dragon and during that time he would have gathered way much more magic and the pact could be sloppy or disbanded at that time.

Or, she woke him early, before he gathered enought strengh, so we could kill him because she saw our defeat in the future, but knowing no one will belive her, she chose the lesser evil path… I still believe that Scarlet is a nice person u_u since she gathered the threat to individual race into alliance so that we can cleave in it and get rid of the “minor” threat and focus on dragons, because honnestly, lore wise, she could have disrupted the asuran gate and screw us hard… More over, presenting herself as an evil character and getting killed by “heroes” will boost up the Pact moral, she planned it all !

Yes, Desolation if enought peopel get on the TS at 7, 9 and 11PM GMT+0. About 40% sucess rate from my tries ^^ (10 kills out of 24 tries). Mostly done on main, but can be done on overflow or guesting (decided on TS).
You need also an elementalist and a necromancer. Ele for diboofing and necro to be in the condi group.

Elder dragons are the cleaners of the cycles, when magic is over-used and chaos threaten the world, they do as neeeded.
We are actually the parasite of this world, the dragons won’t kill all life form, it will just wipe those who are advanced enought to create chaos. Blunt answer to a complex fact that is “At a point, any civilisation will get enought power to destroy the world in it’s entirety” isn’t it better to wipe them before they reach that point ? As well as we exterminate termites even if they do not present an immediate threat to our wooden house, they will if they get further. The Dragons were kind enought to let us live until we are close to this point whereas us. All that to let the other species that are not developped yet to blossom (Yay ! Jackalope Elementalist <3 ).
That leads to an other problem, when there is a few species that are advanced enought to threaten the survival of the others by hunting or farming them, it will force them to relay on basic survival instinct rather than an advancing one. Thus, killing us will help the Jackalope be one of the uprising species.

That aside, from a RP point of view, my guardian that is very religious shouldn’t have joked about someone’s death even if he wiped clean his whole religion and made him the sole survivor of his kind. He would have even dig him a grave and pray for his redemption.

I just upped from 400 to 500 and crafted the Zojja rifle, it cost me 100g but I reselled my craftings and i had a huge stock of wood and metal so i bought none but the T2, T3 and T4 needed for crafting of the T7 . I still have a huge stock of metal left in prevision of the armorsmith… No wood left, and 100g poorer.
Maybe one of the key is in an invisible bag ?

If you are a charr use the elite charr racial skill that summon two allies, launch the npc on the knight and take your point.
Thieves also have thief guild as decoy.
The time he takes to kill them is roughly the time needed to get your skillpoint.
Or ask a friend to be your decoy x) works just fine.
It’s the lord, he hits like a truck because he is a kitteng lord and we are only peasant. He trained his whole life in this lethal attak, 90 years of trainning in the mountain. Go train your auto attak in the mountain for 90 years, you will hit like a truck too.
OP is talking about merits, not guild recommandation, guild merit is next to guild influence (the blue ribbon). It is used along with influence to “craft” some guild amelioration.

1) Tank is remplaced with dodge mechanics, not only dodges, as a warrior playing full berserker GS/A&S, I get 3/4s of evasion from GS and a good 3s of blocking from A&S. You add to that aegis from your team mate and all those projectiles absorption/reflection, I rarely go under 50% of health. My personnal heal gives me 50% of my health every 30s plus the water combo from elem/guard, here is your healing. You fail because you failed your tanking and healing. You are all the trinity by yourself, remember when you blamed the tank who died because he wasn’t doing his job ? Remember when the heal was being yelled at because he let the tank die ? Now blame yourself for not being a good tank and a good healer. Your team, to be efficient, must be one, one that heal, tank and dps. Everyone is a bit of tank, a bit of heal and a big piece of dps. In a ordinary MMO, a 5 man team is 1 tank 1 heal and 3 dps, in gw2, all five is 1/5 tank, 1/5 heal and 3/5 dps. You can have an other ratio, of course, but you must always have all three of them in you. As said above, organization is the key, you must make all those fragments of tank, heal and dsp come alive, be one again, you play for the team as a team. PUG are for testing, exploring, you some times have excellent PUG. Team is for steady end game. Though having a team in the early stages might help.
2) Needing a specific team build ? Are you even trying ? As I said, you need to be all thee roles in different proportion, if there is a group that have the right proportion, it goes well, if not, it doesn’t.
Most good player change their build while moving to the next encounter to be more efficient. Stop thinking that one build is good enough. Yes, some build are more polyvalent than others, but you have to tweak them in some fight or you won’t be that efficient.
3) Game mechanics ? Think about AC, CM, TA, SE, CoE, CoF, HotW, Arah, Molten facility, Aetherblade hideout, Fractals (don’t forget about the story path)… almost all dungeons have nice game mechanics. You went by them without even paying attention. Replay the paths in your head and ask yourself, is there anything more than a standard fight with a moa in open world ? If there is one path that don’t have at least one game mechanics, please let me know, so I can prove you wrong.
4) Endgame. Dungeons are interesting, but if you have done it 1000 times, it becomes boring, OF COURSE it’s the same thing no matter how interesting if you do that over and over you get bored. Go PvP, as a team, 8v8 is total mess, and solo queue can be frustrating. In a team, you can progress with constructive criticism, try to have the right balance, develop strategy… Each encounter is different, challenging (ok, not all the time, some are terrible at pvp)… If you have a good computer and a good connection, try to understand WvW, not just following blindly a CM, try to understand his moves and mistakes (you ill see a lot of the later since not much CM are good in WvW) and maybe one day, buy a tag and lead your server to the first place.
I go oftenly in PvP because I’m not good enough so I try a lot of things and it’s fun. I do daily 1 to 4 path to get a little cash, then PvP or WvW. If you are bad like me, the beginning can be frustrating, but now, I’m better and have a W/L ratio that is above 50% and getting better.

I only have toons at 49. I asked a friend that is 56 fotm, and he noticed no difference in drops/rewards.

Well my technique work for both situation and keep the skin.
10g ? looking for divine or traveler rune ? Yeah, it’s very expensive… But that’s because all the warrior in WvW baught it when it was 6g, emptying the stock.
Necro in end-game PVE : Berzerker or Cleric, both are viable, but Cleric is THE heal, you heal way more than Guardian, but you only have blind and protection to mitigate damage whereas Guardian that have more mitigation system.
Necro in WvW : You can play Dire, you are very good at tagging people, very useful in bus fight and you are very often the last man standing.
Necro in sPvP : You can be a very good Bunker but also a very good anti-bunker, depends on your will.
Necro in solo-play : You are the most resistant thing a mob can think of, thanks to your F1 and very high base hp pool. You can use pet to serve as decoy and use your wells to AoE kill.
As for farming, you usually farm in bus, so individual skill are more or less none sense, but as said before, you are hard to kill.
Leveling is actually quite easy to level everything nowadays with the Queensdale champ farm or if you are in an active WvW server, WvW.
If you mean ascended crafting, it’s the same kitten for every one, at least 190g if you start from nothing plus ~80g for the weapon itself. Armor are unknown yet.
I don’t know about the other profession.

If you compare the price of actual exotics armor to the soon to be ascended armor, it’s like, should I spend 10 silver to full stuff green while making exotic ? It’s 10s, do as you want…
Dude, buy them from TP… Those uncraftable are either on TP or can be bought for dungeon tokken.

They at least though for the tail a “trap door” (sorry I don’t know the english word for it but I think you get what i mean by trap door) that is missing on a lot of armor.
You have to use a transmutation disruptor, upgrade it, and if you want the skin, you transmute it again.
1- No. If you change server, any upgrade, Influence, Merits etc. will be gone.
2- Did you ACTIVATE the upgrades? Most upgrades needs to be activated in order to take effect

No offense… but I do not walk around and click on other people’s characters and look at what kind of story they have written down nor for one do I know if this is even possible. Story is just story, doesn’t really matter to me, I see it as an online game where cosmetics and enjoyable animations/races are ment to be enjoyed for thy own purpose… I don’t know being forced to remake a character just because a couple of items are soulbound seems nuts to me, I’d quit right after creatng my legendary.

Lol, never got pinned down by a bow/rifle war or a condition thief when roamming or what ? But whatever, not the topic here.
As you look back, the patches rocked a lot of build, mesmer/elem/warrior/necro had to change their build and their gameplay as the patches nerfed/upped/moved trait and skills. I don’t play other classes exept those, so I don’t know for sure if it changed, but for those four, I changed at least two times because of the patches.
And the town clothing are for the aesthetic when costum brawling and role playing that you might or might not enjoy.
As for the dungeons, 3 path a day is a week to gettimg full stuff. They don’t want you to rush things and incite you to go try other things, like costume brawling. If you want to rush thing you farm, if not, you play.
Those are our guild clear time approximately, I know we can do it much faster, but we don’t force guildies to use fixed build.
3 path AC : 45min, 3 path CM : 45 min, 3 path TA : 1h10, 3 path SE : 45 min, 3 path HW : 45 min, 3 path CF : 40 min, 3 path CE : 45 min, 4 path Arah : 2h50.
I’m a little bit slower in Arah as we don’t do it as often as we should.
Though, an expansion for a next dragon could be nice with new dungeons, classes, areas, skills, fractals… and I will buy it asap if it’s not over 65 €.

I’ve seen a post that said approximately the same thing and a moderator responded that they are working on it but it’s not a priority and have only a few people on it as there is way less charr than human/norn.
I’d love a rezing animation where my warrior kicked the downed player in the ribs a few times and then yelled “Walk it off you panzy”

Pvp armor are free, pve armor are forbidden in pvp. And so is every piece of equipment. Everyone start equally, you even get all your skill and trait unlocked for you. But what’s in PvP stays in PvP.
So if you plan to be only PvP, don’t even bother with PvE. Though, in WvW, you use your PvE stuff.
I though of buying 251 Zojja so she never goes to bank… then I bought an invisible bag thay annoys me now and then…
Are you sure we’re playing the same PvP? There’s auto-balancing in the servers so the teams are almost always equal numbers, 1v4 is very unlikely unless you joined near the end of the game or were in a custom server where they’ve disabled Auto-Balancing.
Also, sPvP is dominated by Tank/Condition builds not the other way around.
Though it’s always a pleasure to have solo roammer that gets in a point to help you and leave 30s later with 3 corpses and run to an other point. (I might be exagerating on the 30s, but well played burst dps do have huge impact)
I’m not sure if I get you right but are you saying that you can take a lvl 1 in the frostgorge and do the events there ? There is no upscaling in open world, he will get butchered and so in dungeons, only fractals, some rare one-time dungeon and WvW do have upscaling.
I agree that the PvP and the WvW queue is a mess.
But in WvW there are strategies and tactics that make 20 guy kill 60 blind folded if the 60 are just a random bus. And involves only 3 Elementalists.
They did NOT remove the trinity, they made it so every classes can be everything. When you see a necro, he can be playing burst dps, condition dps, tanky healer, condition tanker … Though you can’t handle the aggro anymore, support class are needed and underestimated in PvE. The effort to keep a group of paper berserker alive is huge, you have to know every encounter and change your skill while running to the said encounter and use them at the right moments, launch the combo field/finisher at the right moments…
Guardian ? Don’t make me laugh, necro, thief, engie, mesmer, ranger, elem, warrior all have keeper build that can hold 3-4 guys for over 3 min alone, more if they are not very good. I am a necro keeper and with my engi keeper friend we holded for ~8 min (the whole match) 8 guy on their proxy and won 500-0 and killed one of them 6 times. Though they were prideful enough to try to kill us the whole match letting our team mates three cap and waiting for them…
Plus, guardian are easily eaten by necro or mesmer with an anti-bunker build and I’m sure the other classes can have anti-bunker build that I don’t know of because didn’t encountered/developped one on them.
I hope you come back and truly play how gw2 was meant (in my opinion) to be played, in a team, where you don’t even have to talk and sync all your combo skill (beginner in sPvP and WvW usually overlook the potential of combo, that are, in PvE less decisive.). Actually you are more joking and laughing with them while playing, even if we loose or make mistakes.
Nobody is forced to dps, nobody, you can run a shout support warrior, a banner tanky support warrior in PvE and condition warrior, CC warrior, keeper warrior in sPvP, “condition nightmare” warrior that is quite fun to play in WvW or even the very in vogue Fotm Warrior in WvW, etc… (Tough, I only play my warrior in PvE as DPS berserker, my necro is everywhere and constantly changing build for fun sake.)
BUT it’s your choice not to, and I respect your personnal choices, as we all have different point of view.

If you want a merging you have to merge at least 6 servers for WvW and with the same language 2 by 2… And there will be a lot of mess… My first server emptied not because people stopped playing, but they all migrated to more attractive servers and so did I. I think they have to give gold pay ( like 30 gold a day of connection) for low population server and stop paying once it sort of even out and lock server transfert unless you pay back all the gold received plus transfer fee.
The main reason I don’t buy mini’s (as much as I would LOVE to) is the fact that most of them:
1) cannot swim (and therefore, are put away)
2) are put away when I waypointI wish Anet would fix this, because I really love miniatures, but with them constantly being put away when you go underwater or waypointing, it defeats the whole purpose of having them :-( until those things change, they’re just going to collect dust in my collectibles tab :-/
