I only have the tilde key with no secondary tied to weapon swap

I have my dodge bound to my middle mouse button. However, when I dodge and if it is a tense moment my finger may scroll as well as hitting the middle mouse button causing a weapon swap. Is there a way to turn this off? I have checked my key binds in game and there is no bind for weapon swap tied to the mouse scroll or anything other than the basic “`.”

Don’t take this the wrong way, but you really aren’t going to pull any “skilled” players with any amount of ability or love for WvW to zerg gate. I would suggest you move to a server with w/o 24/7 queue times and a server that actually fights outmanned. Hint Hint

Dude, I agree. Honestly if the skill were the least bit realiable I would be perfectly fine with the nerf. But Anet hates everything but condi spam no skill necro so I guess we are all screwed.

-5-point should be Dark Armor
-Move reanimator to Adept with spawning 2 jagged horrors instead of one
-Merge minion master with protection of the horde for an adept trait, with only +10 toughness instead of 20.
-Put shrouded removal in the 15-point slot, removing 2 condis on some ICD
-New master trait gain Aegis for >1< second on ds on a 10-15 second ICD
-and drop death shiver all together, its just not a strong trait.

The game will not allow us to leave the tpvp game at its conclusion. I exit match and it takes me right back in. All players are trapped inside.

Minion necro running the 30 in death with the poison aoe on minion death is a perfect counter to warriors running the signet heal. Haven’t lost a 1v1 or even a 1v2 to warriors when I run minions with the trait.
Fyi, I hate minions but it works.

I like the ds fix I feel a bit more survivable even with the nerf at the end of ds. I feel like even with the icd on spectral skills they still synergize really well with ds.
I hate that spectrals and ds are the only things that synergize on the entire class.
What we need is for life stealing to work, that means buffing all the skills that already exist we dont need anymore half kitten ’d skills and utilities.
This might be asking for too much, but id like to a tweak done to ds 5’s torment application. Either make it stack more on single targets or make it stack faster on a single target.
Please PLEASE remove DUMBfire cause its awful, replace it with a torment on crit trait and move it to the curses line trading it with the withering precision, which is better for power builds anyway.

Siphoning could be for both health and endurance, that would be cool.
Ive said it a hundred times on these forums the way to give necros surviveability is to significantly buff our life stealing traits already available to us.

obviously none of you have fought the new condi warrior… not only did they give them superior condi application of certain condis, but they also gave them the ability to become pretty much immune to most of your condi burst as a necro but also gave them more passive regen than a guardian has…
that being said this game isnt balanced for 1v1 or even in any way that I can see… so, dont worry about it. they will fix it eventually, too bad everyone will be gone by then….

Now if it was made a major adept trait, with a much lower recharge or remove the recharge altogether and just have a limit on the number, then you’d make a lot of players much happier. Swap it with Dark Armour.

I would love to be a hyper aggressive life stealing machine on my necro. The traits are there, they just need a significant buff to be viable. And doing so would benefit many many necro builds out there and make a significant amount of new ones as well.
I really see this as the most logical step for making the necro more survivable as well as promoting build diversity throughout the class.
I know I am not the only one sick and tired of having to run condi…

Necros can’t suicide-jump off cliffs anymore. That’s about the only real DS-nerf here.
On the other hand, they fixed a bug that apparently was letting Necros take more damage from direct attacks while in DS. So I’d say the survivability is now INCREASED. Not even talking about the faster generation of life force through spectral skills and axe 2.
Spoken like someone who has never played a necro… go back to ele or guard, leave the skilled players alone…

You aren’t maximizing your damage potential with PTV. I run a similar build with Cav and Valk stuff and do just as much dmg as someone in full zerk. Except i survive a lot longer than the zerkers.
I will tell you however its not a great idea to bring a DS build to pvp, as DS just isn’t all that sustainable. One soft CC and the whole shroud is wasted. But for pve insane damage with insane sustain. I highly recommend it.
I just looked at your build, don’t go scepter/dagger. Go axe/wh and dagger/wh since you dont have greater marks. Otherwise you are gonna have a really hard time building DS.

In the last BoC podcast with Tenderly they were talking about a conversation with a dev who commented on making increased mark size standard: there’s a 90% chance it’s not going to happen. The reason for this is that there’s too much aoe in WvW/PvP already, and with the necro’s good access to aoe the staff probably won’t get this buff.
But (!!!) here’s the reason why this argument doesn’t hold up:
I think everyone agrees by now that if there’s going to be a change then the most reasonable one would be:
- increased size by default
- unblockable is combined with Staff Mastery
- Staff Mastery becomes master tier
As it is now, you either take Greater Marks or you don’t run the staff.
So would this change really improve the necro’s aoe?
Imo no, maybe even the opposite, because if this change is made then some (or even most) players wouldn’t have unblockable marks. For them it would actually be a nerf.
So the real question is: if you had 10 extra trait points that you don’t need to invest in Death Magic, would you gain more aoe if you placed them in a different line?
Considering that absolutely nobody uses the staff w/o Greater Marks, can anyone else see how larger mark size being standard would actually increase aoe? Because I can’t…
A change to the big aoe marks without the trait would cause the biggest anti-necro qq to date. You know why? The new build would be 30/20/0/0/20 using that extra 10 pts to get master of terror in the SR tree. Making the recent sigil of paralization nerf moot.
On that note, Anet, PLEASE PLEASE do this I want to own everyone! Fear me!

30/20/10/0/0 or 0/20/10/0/20. One you get burning the other you get more control. Those are the basics, you have a few points to play around with so you can adjust as you see fit.

Run 30.0.10.0.30 with soul marks for the lf generation. Run close to death with axe training. Then run valk ammy no need for precision you are bursting in ds with deathly perception. Works pretty well Crits mad hard.

Apollo hit it right on the head, if you make the sigil not work anymore for fear then you have to do it across the board for everything. Currently melandru inhibits fear twice. That means stun reducing food should also not hit fear, or the change will be very unfair.
I know this will probably not be a popular opinion but if they do nerf the sigil fear then i dont think stunbreakers should break fear as a result, as it isnt a stun at that point right?

PotH is ridiculous. Merge it with Reanimator at the least. Reanimator isn’t that good either but at least not totally worthless if you do MM. I’d like to see them merged, moved to 15 pointer, and remove or reduce internal CD. The game maxes 5 of the same minion anyway so it isn’t like we’d get a huge army considering that along with their very short life span.
Completely untrue, my buddies and I were messing around in wvw. Both of them running full healing builds, we thought it would be funny to see how many we could get up to while constantly healing them. We got up to 17 before it became just too much to keep all of them alive. Then we tried again, and came across some poor CD kid roaming alone.. at the time we had 11 up and omg the bleeds they stacked on the kid we were laughing so hard. You could tell the kid was freaking out. 25 stacks in like 3 seconds… poor kid.

In what world is the necro a healer. However I will say that minion with healing has always been very strong in a 1v1. Outside of that it’s quite simply just bad.

To answer your question flesh golem is the only option we really have. Like Luke said our other elites are so situational. You really don’t need that trait, you just have to make sure to manage it.
I would like necros to get more useable elites, maybe an oh crap button that would allow you to escape combat…

For real guys let it settle in a bit before you go nuts. The other classes have things that can combat the increase to our Condi. They just hadn’t had to run, those builds/utilities before. Honestly the new meta build is no different from any other glass cannon builds, just focus them down like you did before. However I do see a Condi nerf coming in the future, before they do that they have to give ds more sustain or necro will be right back to being a laughing stock.

Dagger – Bloodlust
Optional 2nd warhorn – 2nd copy of Bloodlustrather than 2 bloodlust sigils why not use an on crit or weapon swap sigil. its really a waste of a sigil slot l

the reason for the two bloodlust sigils is so that it will stack twice when you kill something. I doubt he swaps weapons in combat.

Necromancer was definitely the least powerful class before these buffs. Now it might be the engineer who is the least powerful. Both share the property that they get hurt a lot by AoE condition removal.
Eng underpowered? are you for real? engs don’t get hurt by condi removal at all because if you remove it, they can just reapply all of it in 2 secs anyway. And they do a crap load of physical damage and cc on top of the condi. Believe me you don’t want to fight a good eng on any class.
