Why do you add gliding in a map that isn’t even made for it? Adding tons of different possible exploits aviable. Colliding with invisible walls isn’t what you should experience in a top MMO game. If you’re going to introduce gliding you should make an entire new borderland for it with gliding in mind.
The timegated ticket system is just bad game design, making it not worthwhile to play after you receive the last diamond chest. The amount of tickets you get is still to low compared to pve. The mistforged version of the WvW armor should be the legendary version, it should not equal to the previous set.
Gliding should not be locked into zones, this look’s rather silly. Nothing but the GW2 system makes you lose your glider.
Everything seems rushed, no polish on anything. Like some bad thrid party addon.

The skill was fine like it was. 600 isn’t to much for staff at all.

Over the last 5 years I have seen some skins go for 3 tickets, some for 2 and some for 1. Not false at all.
Newly added skins never costed more than one BL ticket.
Your PC seems good enough. Your CPU also seems about the same lvl as mine (i7 3770k), and i use GTX1080 for GPU.
I play in ultra-HD with almost everything on max. The biggest thing in zerg fights is to have LOD Effects turned on. I’m able to maintain around 30 FPS in zerg fights. Here are my settings: http://i.imgur.com/hLj2BsZ.jpg
Pretty sure you would get lower performance if you switched to AMD 1800×. You want to have high single core perfromance. Quad core CPU’s seems to be the optimal thing for GW2, cause when you go above quad core you are losing out on single core performance atm.

I never knew this because it’s so wrong. Server lag isn’t related to ingame FPS. Funny to see ppl think that still. You cannot do anything about it.
Server-end lag is server-end lag.
But if you reduce your graphics you can reduce the lag that’s happening because of your rig in big fights. It does help.
Low FPS is not the same as lag. Low FPS is a PC problem. You can have high framerate and still experience lag. Lag is a network based problem.

I already have it off. My settings showed the health bars earlier and i havent changed them. So it’s wierd.
Why can’t i see the nemys health bars? I only do when i have the cursor over single targets.
The rank system isn’t something that supports the longevity for the game mode. It makes the difference to big between new and veteran players. I’ve played this game mode alot, and i can see that it’s not inviting at all to new players. They have to start playing so far behind the veteran players. Rewards should be equal to the effort you put in there and then, not based on how long you’ve played before.
From my experience it’s not tempting to start playing old MMO’s that have enormus grinds so the newer players will never be able to catch up with.
Ranks should be deleted and forgotten. WvW should be based on equal footing from a single players perspective.

Yeah, Ele was always bad for wvw. They all love your water fields and ability to down siege on walls but besides that you are useless.
Talk for yourself. Ele is magnificent for WvW!

You know there is 24h boosters right? Not nomal to play for 24h, and even then this game isn’t very stable. Had plenty of game crashes and DC’s.
Throwing rewards at WvW only fixes low popluation servers.
I don’t agree with the pip distrubution system. It should be more about how much of effect you personally have on the en result rather than the servers placement something you have very little controll over.
What we got:
Legendary back item + a full set of ascended armor.
What we should have gotten:
Legendary armor.
Triple infusion slot rings. Like you can get by doing PvE fractals.
Legendary back item 1 year ago.
There was also no major bugfixes. WvW is still laggy. Lootbags still make you port in certain areas.

Some of these skills being insta cast doesen’t work as insta cast skills should thoug. You cannot channel churning earth while casting updraft for example.
The devs has done nothing but nerfing the fun out of the game. Remember when meteor rocks didn’t look like a tiny cropped out of aspect ratio kittenty yellow thing?

There is no 1,5 sec process. The entire skill/animation duration is 3/4 sec. Stop thinking it’s double of what the tooltip says. The skill had already started casting. You can see the line of fire. So what if it isn’t insta cast? None insta cast skills are evade skills, an evade skill requires a skill time duration where you evade during the casting time.

The cast time is 3/4s and the skill duration is an additional 3/4s. So all-in-all the skill takes 1.5s to fully cast and animate (plus whatever trailing aftercast animation it has). In the video OP was cut off during the cast time. Seeing how the skill when on a 10s cooldown (rather than a 3s interrupt cooldown) leads me to believe that OP also got poked by a Distracting Dagger vs any other interrupt.
It doesen’t take 1,5 sec to fully cast. I have timed it with use of recording software. No way that skill takes 5 sec to cast. You misunderstand what the tooltip says. The evande time isn’t additional time to the skill duration. That wouldn’t make any sense. The evade time is based on the skill itself.
As mentioned by several, it was exactly what I thought. The thief got you right before the actual evade. I can see how you were mistaken, however to make things easier and quicker for next time, instead of calling it a bug or calling for a fix from the start, post the vid and ask people what happened and let the awesome community let you know what they saw

The actual evade should start right away according to the tooltip. Activation time doesen’t make any sense. What good is an evade skills which you cannot time properly? As i see it the skill is bugged when it doesen’t do what the tooltip says. So i will call it a bug.

Depending on when they did it (could have used “Steal” as the evade was being activated (during the evade warm-up), or near the end of the 1s evade) it is possible.
Without some video documentation however we dont know the set up of that fight/retreating to be able to confirm that its something that needs fixing or not. As far as we know, it was a legit steal and you are a bit upset/salty at the situation.

Thief was able to use steal on me during evade with burning speed. Get that fixed.
This game doesen’t utilize 8 cores efficiently. You wan’t alot of GHz for this game, so 7700k will be a better choice for gaming overall.
Even high end desktop PC’s does poorly in WvW cause GW2 is so terribly otpimized towards todays standards. That guy who suggested AMD ryzen is way off, GW2 doesen’t utilize 8 core CPU’s. I can’t imagine any laptop do well in WvW heavy blob fights with max settings.
Perhaps you should read the persons comment better before referring to their post. They did not say anything about utilizing the chips full 8 cores. They spoke of price point by goin Ryzen, even without proper optimization their chips are in a few fps above or below the i7-7700k in gaming.
As for wvw blob fights, i have yet to have lag at all even with my i7-6700k igp, any lag i do get, is server based not client. Its not hard to find a laptop that can support gw2, but its the next generation of MMOs you will need to worry about.
Ryzen is only good in newer games that has better multithreading support. Games like GTA 4, Doom 4, Tombraider, BF One. Any ryzen CPU is terrible for GW2. The best is probably 7700k.

Not if you run banner ress warrior. Ressing sigil is just to stupid. You have to rely on others to be bad in order to stack it, it’s is just silly.

The server linking doesen’t make WvW more balanced. It just makes WvW messier and more difficult to organize. There is a bunch of slackers not doing anything usefull on EB while we have a que.
How long are the queues in prime time? Is there ever a queue to more than 1 map outside reset? How would you solve the population issues as some servers like Ruins of Surmia or Fissure of Woe are really empty?
Here on Desolation we can have a queue to one map at best in prime time (sometimes it is a fake queue like yesterday at EBG, really it was outnumbered “buff” there instead). When 1 map is full, all other 3 maps got outnumbered “buff” on us. Yet, Arenanet counts Desolation as a full server. I just makes me wonder how empty the non-full servers without a link are…
I still remember the golden days of WvWvW when there was a queue to all 4 maps at same time. It was in 2012-2013…
The que time depends on alot of things. It mostly depends on which commander we got, and how well we’re doing. We don’t have alot of hardcore commanders tagging up as often. When we do the que goes like up to 60-100 ppl on the evening. It’s mostly just one good commander at the time on one of the borders. It’s rarely i see a que on more than 2 borders at the same time. Alot depends on people that are willing to tag up.
How to solve population issues is quite difficult. People tend to go where the most action is at which is the most populated servers. Some of the problem is about the rewards, it is more rewarding to be on a server which has the highest numbers of kills. zerging is waymore rewarding than roaming. I don’t think it should be like that. Taking supply camps and dolyaks should be more rewarding when your not around by a huge group of allies. I think a 60 player cap would be nice to have, and then make transfers to lower tier servers free.
Also make it more rewarding for people to command. I suggest that we could have we could get a daily token of appreciation after finishing WvW dailies. Which we then could give to whoever we would like, it could be a commander/scout or someone else that we thougt did a great job. Whit this token of appreciation pepople could buy unique WvW based weapon skins. The token only has value if it’s given by another player. And it’s given after finishing WvW dailies to make multiaccount abuse less likely to happen.

The server linking was actually to solve the population imbalance issue. Anet stated that themself.
I just don’t like server linking cause it’s getting more like Edge of the Mist. No server identity, no familiar players. Just a random mess. Anet kinda ruined the server aspect. They should rather lower the limit of players so we get less skill lag. Make transfering to a lower tier server free. 100v100v100 isn’t fun cause of skill lag. I’ll rather have a 60 player cap.

What do you mean? There are no ressing sigils. Only on kill sigils. You want a sigil designed for badies essentially. It’s like the downed state traits that only badies use. A good guild wouldn’t have much profit of it unless they get downed on purpose. Which is rly stupid design in my opinion.

Killing an NPC grants 1 stack of bloodlust sigil, killing a player grants 5.
Why not also grant 5 stacks for each successfully ressed player? Would maybe make ressing for few people more attractive than just letting teammates die. (Talking about a pugblob now).Couldn’t this be a thing?
Why should ressing people give that? People would get downed on purpose, like setting your house on fire for insurance, just cause it’s profitable. Having downed allies should never be something you can profit on. That’s bad gamedesign.
I got the same probem to. Game is running fine with ping around 40 avg then it spikes up to over 1000. This started after the patch delay duo to the snowstorm.

Can we make it so that sigils isn’t attached to the weapon itself but in a standalone slots? Which also would work better for the balancing of the game. When you got 2 classes that only has two sigils to work with at the time (ele and engi) this really becomes unfair when you see on the other classes who can use bloodlust on one weaponset and swich over to the other weapon set without the bloodlust sigl and still have the bloodlust effect activated.

It still works, they just heavily nerfed the rate of the boosters.
When did they nerf that?
Skill lag is the biggest issue, and has been that since the release. Maybe we can get it fixed before the next expansion?
What about nothing of the year ever no existing never ever ascension achievement for WvW. Will that also continue?
