HoT release?! That was over a year ago! This lag has only just appeared for me.
Skill lag has been there since the release. I have several threads about it years ago here on the forum actually. Maybe you werent on a high populated server.

Yes, it’s more heavy skill lag now cause alot more skills can do more and applies to more people, so it’s more to process for the server after HoT release.
Been playing on FSP in EB. The fight we had in the Stonemist Castle made us all unable to cast any skills. I don’t understand why you never do something about it. If the server can’t handle so many players you shouldn’t have the player limit set so high. It’s been years, and this never seems to improve.

Nah, not laurels. I hate that time gated currency. And the new ascended vendors in PvE/PvP doesen’t require laurels either. Gearing up in WvW doesen’t have to be 10x worse.
It’s not somehwat hard to aquire in PvP/PvE, and shouldn’t be that in WvW either. Anet has allready stated that they won’t do more tournaments. So they could just simply add another reward track or currency or use the proof of heroics.

I allready have full ascended. Don’t talk like you know something when you clearly don’t.
I hate the idea of adding ascended armor to pvp. I hate it even more in wvw reward tracks. People should be coming for the game mode. Not for the armor
The rewards should be equally good for each game mode so that people only come for the game mode itself, not the rewards.
Yep, WvW’ers are allways left out or behind. No WvW ascended back, no ascended vendor for WvW aquired currency. You have to unlock the new rewards tracks in PvE. Which was lame to do. Anet doesen’t have enough the people to develop the game/expansion into something good it seems. So much that is unpolished. Even when you do emotes it hides your character back item, which is also hidden in the character menu.

Why do you let people with zero experience in WvW vote? People should have at least 1k WvW rank before being allowed to vote, or maybe even better: ask the top guilds in WvW what to do. Or else you risk polls getting abused by PvE ppl who just to troll.
Anet keep on making defenders advantage higher. They clearly want a stale gameplay.
Tactivators should never have been added in WvW. It made the game more unbalanced, less fun, less skill based. The expansion didn’t bring one good thing to WvW’s gameplay.
The best would be to remove it.

Alot of people are transfering over to FSP daily. We get like 10+ new registrations on our TS daily. I’m really annoyed by these bandwagoners who keep transfer to the highest populated servers and we ending up alot of ques to the borders. Server linking is also a joke, i agree. They should find other ways of balancing it.
Start focusing on fixing bugs, rather than silly gimmicks we don’t need.

WvW servers has become less than a name if you ask me. It’s not just a server anymore but a mix of servers. This cheap balance-fix soulution is really lame. We lose our core structure of our identity, the familiar alles, it ends up becoming a random mess of Edge of the Mist bullkitten almost.
This is a really bad idea on so many levels, and it wouldn’t be funny spending time on running supply.
Devs do not care about us
Low FPS is not the same as lag.

I have noticed a lot of issues with refresh rate and vertical sync, try turning them off and maybe lowering other graphic settings to low/medium and see if that helps.
What are you even talking about? This is not related to lag at all. Could just aswell have said: clean the swimming pool and see if that helps.
They solved lag problem by adding AOE. Spam it and do not care about lag.
Ignorant much? Spamming AoE attacks like meteor shower or other heavy to calculate skills doesen’t work. Seems like the server has a priority that focus on lesser skills, like #1, that’s more easy to process.
It’s user end too. How do they normalize to fit all systems?
This thread is really about server sided lag. If it’s user end they should look at their own internet connection then.
They don’t seem to care about this gigiantic problem. I’ve been saying this alot in this forum. I’ve told them to lower the player limit. Which they did, it got better, but then they raised the limit again. Without even making a real fix.
The WvW team doesen’t even want to tell us what the limit is. A proper developing team would have told us.
WvW is not what it was, that’s for sure. What they have done now is mostly adding on silly gimmicks that ruins the game. It’s so stale now, after they made the defenders advantage way to high with all the defensive buffs. Everyhing get’s taken when there is none to defend when it’s T3 with the buffs. It’s such a boring siege fest.
The AC’s have to high damage and to large AoE. The WvW team have no idea of what they are doing.
They also added ekstra stats, which also works withing WvW that those who only play WvW can’t access. I’m talking about the triple infusion slot on the ascended rings.
Only a few changes has been good. The reward tracks, the AoE auto loot, can no longer banner ress the tower/keeps lord.
What they should do:
Remove the WvW banners. We don’t need more gimmicky kitten that takes over the role of certain classes.
Don’t make WvW into a bunker up in tower thing, with a boring siege fest for some skill-less arrow cart humper.
Tone down the AC and ballista damage. Remove the mortar and cannon buffs.
Fix annoying bugs: Lootbag port, stuck in wall/gate, and skill lag with server speed up error afterward, dolyaks(NPC’s out of sync/ not attacking.
Make WvW rewards: Legendary back item, Armor skins, let WvW’ers aquire the new ascended gear stats combinations on the trinkets.
Make a new WvW map that looks like it is NOT designed for gliding in mind. No maze design, but “free” and open. With wider choke points. With less tall towers, that’s not designed for arrow cart humpers.

Yes, it’s very strange that they won’t tell us the number limit. They might keep it secret because the limit is un-even, or scales after the server population. I don’t know. I just think it’s just very strange that they are so secretive about it. Something fishy must be going on…
The devs are careless about ballance. They nerf things into unusable instead of usable from overpowered. For example melee ele d/d which had 1550 range on 15 sec base CD on RTL. Now it’s 40 or 20 sec depending on if you hit or not. The balance team is so bad.
No care for fine tuning the powerfullnes of the skills. Either nerf it to the grond or make it op. Nothing inbetween.
This link up makes no sense, even with WR and FOW being ‘dead’ servers. FSP didn’t have population issues before.
I’ll just leave some more salt here. Even with massive zergs, they still choose to exploit siege and fortification mechanics. See attached.

Yes! I’m loving this. This is what happens when Anet decides to let everyone vote for the options to keep DBL or not. I’ll bet alot of PvE’ers voted to keep DBL without spending alot of time in WvW.
Maybe time to realise that there should be a minumum WvW rank requeried before one can vote? Let’s say 2k.

Rev should fit you well. Good at roaming and large scale battles. Warriors are still good aswell. Mesmers are not that usefull when it comes to large scale WvW, but really good for roaming and smaller fights.

25 stats won’t change the outcome of a fight? How can you possibly know that? Small margins can decide the outcome easily. So i really don’t care of what you think or feel like. Naive minds doesen’t see that stats are one of the deciding factors in a fight, which almost every attack is based on.
People spend more time doing PvD in WvW than fighting and complain about having to do a bit of PvE to get an extra buff they actually don’t need.
LOL I know right isn’t the irony so funny, that it has you dying of uncontrollable laughter.
I’ll break it down to you tho. They are not complaining because they have to do pve. They are complaining because they can not get it, just by pressing skill 1 and outblobing things 4 or more to 1 with a 80 plus man omni-blob.

These players are mostly complaining because the content that requires them to get these upgrades, actually requires a little bit of effort and brain power. lol
As I sit with 6 infused and attuned Ascended Rings that was super easy for me to get. again lol

Your point being? Its not like you are not allowed to go do that content yourself and get the same amount of infusion slots. And those extra 5 stats per ring are not the reason you are losing fights.

My point being it shouldn’t be like that. You simply shouldn’t have to go outside of the game mode you enjoy to do something that you find boring in order to stay on the top stat-wise in the game mode you enjoy. It profits no-one.
If they only kept the extra infusion slots within fractals, like before i would have had no problem with it.
It should be easy for Anet to make a system for us WvW’ers to stay on even grounds. If they only cared. WvW’ers are the last to get any stat based items.
No legendary back item yet, even thoug this gamemode is more played than SPvP i believe.

Sick lag in EB now in the FSP matchup.
Anet should reduce the limit and make more borderlands and smaller maps.
There is more, alot more..
-Random obstruct on projectiles.
-Loot bag teleporting players. To recreate the bug scenario you can stand on the lumber in speldan camp on the EB-border while killing the NPC’s.
-Lag. They know the servers isn’t good enough to handle the player limit, yet they don’t lower it.
-Immobilize mid air.
-Stuck bug.
What about the new HoT stats trinkets?

As a ranger you can also shoot downwards with skill 5 on LB. You require line of sight to do it. The same with the eles. When it comes to defending with siege on the wall i think it should be a counter class to that. The problem is that critical dmg doesen’t count when your dps-ing siege. Which makes some PvT builds hit higher that zerker builds cause the increase in power from sharpening stones which scales with the thougness and vitality stats.

Are you actually asking if we want more siege? Focus on fixing immobilize mid-air bug, skill lag, stuck bug instead of adding this lame kitten content that only hurts the game mode.
Why is there no option that makes us able to see the health bars on top of our allies?
The 111 flamethrower spamming is outstanding. I’ve never seen harder 111 spamming before. Haha
I don’t like tempest ele cause that’s all about auras, and i don’t like to replace my cantrips with shouts for auras cause then i lose the ability to play offensive safely.
