Vulnerability, daze, cripple.

If you see me dead, I’m not spying. I’m either afk going to the bathroom before I res, or waiting for the contested WP to be uncontested so I can come back and kill you. Why do people worry about such trivial matters.
Don’t forget making another drink!
Cheers, and happy holidays.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Auto ressing will more than likely never happen due to how it would assist botters.

Question for DB oceanic players. Not being a jerk, but want to know. Is it boring or fullfilling zerging through EB, MBL & YBBL with undefended keeps, camps etc. and taking the entire map with no opposition? As a NA prime player I have never experience that.
I’m an NA player that starts wvw at around 12am pac’time and goes until 4am-6am depending. It isn’t just a faceroll. We really have to hit you, and hit you and hit you until you finally just log out. Most of your areas are quite fortified and I have been pleasantly surprised by the defense. You’ve both been a real pain in the kitten.
I’d say most of the caps happen after 5am pac, when it slows down I just start building siege so our morning time crew can last a little longer.

Mini griffin > mini cube.

Go to the spvp heart of the mists ‘crossed swords’ icon in upper left hand corner.
There, you’ll find a portal to Lion’s arch. Use Lion’s arch great portal hub waypoint’s portal system to get to Hoelbrak.
quick and easy, no fuss no muss just some loading times.

Explore,
I didn’t even realize how high level I was then suddenly… kitten.. i need to gear myself in 80 equipment. As you can see from the responses it doesn’t really matter what build you choose to go for stable, range, condition, pet, just get out there.
Rangers do very well in solo pve.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Thanks for that update, wvw threads taunt me so badly at work.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
2) Mini. IT does not tank in PvP the way it does in PVE. unless you are fighting a clueless player
I’ll take the time to put down a wolf.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
It’s been great to fight against DB, when I get off work seems to be when BP is playing defense. You guys are a blast to fight.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
I almost wish that the class weapon choices were racially based, though that would have probably created more kittening than what is offered.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
We were laying siege, all theirs were held up inside the walls all ours were all on the outside. I just placed down a ‘box of fun’ around a corner out of sight, one brave defender decided he was going to do something about our catapults.. I ran at him Super Enlarged and started jumping on him while the team took him down.
The only thing that guy would have been able to see on his screen was the inside of my coat.
It had nothing to do with actual combat, but the poor guy was flattened by a giant. It was pretty hilarious. I think they became demoralized. But who’s to say.
Nothing says siege like a box of fun.

In wvw I really enjoy going with a warrior or a guardian. I’m a tankier ranger that loves swooping into a mess of people popping entangle to create a hot zone, it’s nice to be with people that initiate pushes well, or will rear guard and revive when retreating.
In spvp I like to party with elementalists for some reason, I guess I harass allot while they just blow the stink out of people. Again, swoop.. you can not flee.
Thieves kind of do their own thing, and I wouldn’t rely on most of them for shelter if I fall. Asura thieves tend to be nicer than others in that respect for some reason.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
I’ve been having a ton of fun swooping into the front portion of a horde, popping immunity and entangle, watching the poor saps that can’t flee melt under team fire as I run back to my own front line.
It’s pretty amazing for pushing. It’s usually about 9/10 times I’ll get away scott free, and If I do die at least 5 of theirs went down and I’ll be getting a ress shortly.
Kamikaze time.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Traited for 20% reduction on skills LB is more to my liking, the amount of time you’ll spend auto attacking is minimal.
If the enemy closes range you just send them flying as it is.
It’s just a preference thing honestly.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
I’m not sure why you would be worried about “just staying alive”
You should be the one picking your targets. Until you go crazy and dive in for an entangle/immunity finisher on a nice chunk of people that have been softened up.
The only time I dislike pets would be when I’m on a battlement defending.
Pets really aren’t that bad so long as you are continually swapping them.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Pretty much established now, but once more; It is amazing.
I played for so long without it… gah.. the difference is outstanding. Suddenly your vulnerability and rapid fire are kicking out kitten loads of damage. It is surprisingly easy to line up players in wvwvw
The knockback from longbow on multiple people is hilarious.

The gods won’t come back to the humans if they don’t use the prayers. It is also the reason why they are so weak right now.
The more people that use them, the stronger they will get. There is an internal counter in game that makes a tally for every time the prayers are used.
~continues to speak out of his kitten
Yeah they need a buff.

Swapping is the only way to get your pet truly out of an aoe.
15 points in BM is well worth your time.

Necromancer has a surprising lack of utility escape/engage, also worse in the armor department. They could use it.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Melee pets hitting moving targets.
Dog, wolf, fernhound, all bears, arctodus, murellow, all cats, pigs, boars, siamoths, all drakes, all moas…
So, birdies weren’t mentioned. Lemme guess. All pets with 130 range will now be increased to hmmm say bird range of 300?
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Best thing about having a pet out for me is; Rage as one.
wait.. you can use the skill with a pet stowed. I guess I like to rage by myself.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Bird pet also cawcaw very good you see! If race is Norn then even more bird attack for mighty bird death combo. Movie called The Birds, much like that.
Screaming enemy run from horn bird, pet bird, Norn bird. So much pecking to do!
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
^ Norn Leopard stealth. But that’s ‘fairly’ uncommon.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Because Owl was lost to Jormag.. the pain of remembering Owl is too much for the server to handle.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Perhaps you should try playing a necromancer.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Keg brawl
Let’s see if your little Asura is up to a hearty Nord challenge.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Generally people don’t switch from Rifle to Harpoon gun, whereas you could switch from Longbow to Shortbow – no problems, for great benefit.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
I picked ranger because I like the distraction that the pet provides.
I’m not a big fan of this idea.
The only problem I have with pets is the fact that I cannot get every pet, white raven, black moa, rainbow jellyfish… that is a problem.. fire the guy that had that idea.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Still wont effect speed during combat, I’ll stick to shooting bunnies.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Hey Sleepy, do you use a Crimson Moa or do you even bother caring about fury at that point?
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Spear mostly – with jelly fish. Jellies are crazy with quickness.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Rune/s of the Pirate:
Who doesn’t want a 5% chance to shout “Yarr”
or summon parrots.. The more birds the better.
Ca-caw!
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
83% complete map.. maybe after I get 100 I’ll consider another class.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Why do pets stop walking to use their skills anyway?
Sure does make PvE a breeze right?
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Ice Shark
*Dual sharks please.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
To cut my answer short: No.
I am Norn, nothing walks through me. Except ale.. but it runs.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
0/20/20/15/15
Everything is 20% faster- GS, LB, Swaps, Survival skills.
The build is a spoon and a fork at the same time. It’s a Spork.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
If you could pop signet of the hunt for a brief stealth I might use it.
That aside, I wouldn’t use it unless it applied more than a 33% movement boost. As it stands now it doesn’t effect you while you are in combat, I’ll stick to shooting rabbits, tropical birds and other small game for constant Swiftness instead.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
The greatsword is just ‘fun’ to use. You’re also entirely correct that the greatswords look amazing.
If you think it is a waste of time then you will not sit with me one day, eating Dolyak cheesecake and pouring ale on the ice in Hoelbrak.
Play all of the greatsword classes for a time, see which one suits you, go with it.
I love to use QZ on the longbow vulnerability, rapidfire, swoop in and maul while my ravens swap for f2’s and more quickness. Hacking away merrily for one more maul and a swap back to LB for more vulnerability and rapid fire.
I just like how it all looks and works, the damage is great and applied quickly, oh and what was that? right, I find it fun
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
I will one day have a legendary greatsword in the hands of my ranger, on that day I will sit down to a meal of Dolyak cheesecake and pour ale on the ice in Hoelbrak.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Dolyak cheese – cheesecake. For that rich mountain taste.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
I will pour a tankard of ale on the ice in Hoelbrak for that cheesecake.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
I will pour a tankard of ale on the ice in Hoelbrak for you.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
The second one is untrue.
“Thieves” Don’t stand a chance? meaning multiple. Good luck with that.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
It does seem to work quite a bit better when you actually revive the animal.
Loch Ness Monster (nnnf)
Transmutation is really easy to come by if you’re into exploring.

“Know when to hold them’
Know when to stow them’
Know when to swap away,
and know when to run. "

My pets are chill and they match my hair.
Everything is 20% better Greatsword skills/Bow skills/Survival Skills/Pet swap
I’m not sure why I still use the Moa it just seems to regen screech all the time.
(the regular one not the broken f2 tab)
Swapping is a huge part of combat, as is dodging for no reason other than to give the pets protection.
