I don’t believe the guesting has been introduced to the build yet.

As for transfers there is no cost but i 24 hr cooldown before you can transfer again.

The issue with transfers is the server you are moving to must not be full and the same again when you want to transfer back.

Click support at the top of the page and submit a ticket, only way they will help you out.

Bots can’t hurt you in GW2. They can’t steal your kills, they can’t steal loot, they can’t steal resource nodes, they can’t attack or kill you.

If you see them report them and move on, no point worrying about it.

He has raised an interesting question tho, if Anet is the only one he has ever used that email and password for how have hackers got his details?

So you want the level 80 character but want him to keep the account? Why not just get a new account and game for him?

Or your character is on there and he made another one and got it to 80?

And answer is yes you can swap the email address and no you can’t transfer characters between accounts.

What level is the character you want to transfer?

Keylogger? Luck?

That said in WvW it is nice to try and hide behind the massive norns.

1. When you get that email to confirm the IP log in attempt do you/have you ticked the box to remember this IP? If not it will ask you to do it every time.
2. Password changes or resets you will have to contact support by submitting a ticket
3. Depending if the server is US/AU etc focused then off peak times can be quite, you can try moving to a server known to have a heavy population of your country.
4. You can find guilds on this forum, through Enjin websites or in game.

Also don’t worry about not having as ton of time as RL is more important and this game has no subscription and they have minimized the typical mmo grind and the need to get to max level before the real fun starts is not as needed in this game.

Play the game at your own pace and enjoy it.

Fair enough, that said PayPal is safer than giving your credit card information to a whole heap of different companies. As most games/companies will offer to store credit card details and then that information could be stolen.

Its up to you but PayPal in this situation will get you your gems for next week.

Is there are reason you don’t want to use PayPal? I have had issues with my credit card not being accepted and using PayPal has worked every single time (except when i hit the $300 per month limit)

Also how about actually trying some of the suggestions or come up with your own instead of knocking back peoples suggestions to help YOU??

Is there limitations to this tho? I was having issues with one of my story instances and had a few level 80’s come down to help out and they were not getting the message to enter.
Is it only if people have not done it before?
Is there a limit on the level allowed in?

Or ask in map if anyone has it then they can link it and you can preview from that.

Can you not log into those other accounts to remove the credit card details manually?

My suggestion is play each class but go to sPvP in the mists at level 2 (once you complete the starting instance) this way you can try each class as if you are level 80 with all skills unlocked etc.

Doubt it, also it would be easier to sort out your main account than trying to do everything again.

Contact them about your account security, you might get a solution back.

As far as i am aware there is no transfer of characters from one account to another yet. I would hope they might run it like EVE but i doubt it.

EDIT: What was the reason for buying another account? As you lose any bank slots and character slots and any resources you have gathered…

An hour? Mate its going to take longer than that, you can’t expect a instant response. My suggestion is get a PayPal account going as its one of the safer ways of using your credit card.

If you have never used your credit card before to purchase gems it might not hurt to check with your bank to make sure that they are not blocking the transactions for some reason.

Have you tried PayPal?

Also there is a $300 per month cap on gems from one credit card.

I believe this feature is currently disabled, I’m sure someone will be along to confirm this.

Be thankful it is a skill point you are missing and not a poi, the unclaimed skill point is much easier to spot on the map then a undiscovered poi.

Exotic level armor (such as crafted ones) are the “end game” armor. Anet made it that all end game armor is on par with each other and no dungeon set is better than crafted sets etc. The main difference between the crafted set and the dungeon sets are some dungeon sets will have different combo’s of stats that you would find in the crafting set. Eg. My crafted exotic armor was the +powe +toughness + healing. The AC armor set is designed with + power + toughness and + vitality.

So with the crafted sets there is from memory 6 different combinations of stats.
For dungeon sets there is many combinations per dungeon and some dungeons will have stat combinations not found in other dungeons.

So exotic armor is the best so to speak, be it crafted, dungeon or karma sets. All that changes is which stats are on the set and the runes.

Was your email and password for wow the same or similar to GW2?

As your information could have been stolen from any of those games and you may not have got hacked then and there.

Normally when you get hacked it is to do with lack of security on your behalf. the guild wars email and password being the same as your email or the passwords the same but with 1 on the end of it.

Other people have been hacked because their information was stolen from other games and they used the same or similar password for guild wars 2.

If you have ever had your email account compromised in the past then dont use it again for online games. Make sure all passwords are completely different from each other and you shouldn’t have any issues.

So the question remains, have you been hacked before in other games? are you passwords to similar? Do you have decent security on you pc to try and stop keyloggers etc.

EDIT: I understand your frustration but in terms of security there is only so much game companies can do if any of the above applies to you then it was a lack of security on your behalf.

Its like leaving your car sitting around with the keys in it, not the car company or insurance companies fault, yours.

If you have though about the above and can say with 100% confidence that you have looked after your accounts as much as possible then yes anet needs to do something.

I’ve had a similar problem but it was with the hero’s band. On the account i get mail only containing the Golem Banker and no hero band. I just moved on as it isn’t that good.

Never had a issue with the elite skill tho, always on toons and can use it once you hit 30.

Also there is no requirement to buy skills to be able to use the elite skill in tier 1. Only the utility skills require 5 to be purchased before it unlocks the next tier.

EDIT: Westeria Guardian the only items you get is on the first toon you should receive a tome of courage and a chalice of glory. These two items are only available ONCE! Every toon you make after that one will have 2 mails when you create another toon one will be blank (the one that contained the chalice and tome) and the other will contain the hero’s band and the banker.

EDIT2: The only item in there is the mini pet you get in the first mail, this is what you might be thinking was the skill..

I would count that as luck as the slots are a fair few gems and i bought enough character slots for all 8 professions.

When your account gets hacked i don’t believe the can refund any items or gold but they can replace any gems you might have lost.

You just have to wait until its not reading as full. The best time to look to transfer is during no peak hour times. For example Isle of Janthir is heavily a AU server and the peak times for AU players would normally be 5pm – 11pm.

My suggestion is to have your friend get up at a non peak time for 5 mins just to try and transfer across. Its the only way you can do a transfer. As once it reads full it wont let anymore accounts onto that server. So you have to wait until bot accounts have been removed from the server or people have moved off the server. As servers only take so many accounts.

There is a default purchase limit of $300 per 30 days for the “Card on File” purchase option. This purchase limit is there to help players or parents control their spending for the account.
It appears you have almost or already reached the card on file purchase limit for your account. To resolve this issue, simply remove your card on file, and leave it off. I know it’s not as convenient entering your card information each time you wish to make a purchase. However, leaving the card off file means that you will not never hit that card on file purchase limit.

We have just implemented a way for players to remove the card on file from an account. To do this, simply click the trash can icon next to the saved card on file in the Gem Store. Confirm the deletion, and the card will be removed.

Also, if you are receiving an error, it could be because of too many failed attempts within a short time frame.

Please wait a full 24 hours from your last transaction attempt, then try again. For future reference, please keep in mind that too many failed attempts within a short time frame will always result in an error.

My suggestion is to use a master email account from hotmail and create a alias within that email account (hotmail only) Make sure the 2 emails sound VERY different from each other, this way your guild wars email (the alias) has no password and can not be logged in but needs the master account email AND password to access it.

This way if they know your alias email they cannot log in using that email, they need to know what the master account email is.

I am also unable to buy gems and i have been told by customer support that there is a limit of $300 per month to stop fraud and people getting carried away with spending. This $300 limit seems only to work for paypal and saved credit card information. But from what i can tell there is a “cooldown” on how often you can buy gems once you have gone over the $300 limit. For example if it is a new month i can go and buy $300 worth of gems straight away one payment after the other, once i have hit the $300 i need to wait between payments.

Hope this helps explain why you can’t buy gems.

I had the same thing happen but it wasn’t with Gems, i had no gems saved up and I log in to find that i bought a crafter booster but it did not show in my history. Needless to say the mail with the item is still sitting there as i didn’t purchase it.

Whenever i have bought the boosters it has always been in the booster pack, never the single boosters.
