I still wait for the day we get a complete revamp of our confusion traits. I kinda doubt that confusion gets revamped completly because other classes have access as well. Just look at the mess perplexity runes created.
I really would like to know what the devs want us to do with confusion. Is it still supposed to punish people by dealing spike damage or are we supposed to deal consistent low amount of damage with confusion. None of the traits support either anymore.
The problem with that would be that it has way too many effects. It’s basically a hundred shatters in one due to the combinations possible. Yes it sounds awesome to me, but the devs would never go for it.
I really like the Shatter Phantasm idea as well but i have to agree with so many different effects it would be a balancing nightmare. But if they reduce the effects to only 2 for example by splitting between range and melee phantasm i can see it working. But non of the effects should include stuns or daze in my opinion. We got that already covered with F3 and traits.
I don’t really expect to much. More curious if they gonna fix all the bugs.
Changes to mimic are kinda to “good” to be true. You should not forget about nullfield description. Rips/cleanse all boons/condis. When its only one per pulse. They might do a similiar thing with mimic where its 1 boon each second (so up to 4 boons only). In addition they could add some bs like only if you get hit.

Having same issues since last patch. I cannot log into the client and i couldn’t log into the forums (Login website never loaded). So i changed the DNS server.
Now i can log into the forums again BUT i cannot log into the client. I dont even get to the point where i can type in my login information anymore. Apart from that thanks to the google public dns i cannot access my router anymore so im not gonna stay on that dns.
Im gonna try some other DNS maybe i have more luck then. Noted its only anets login server which gives me trouble every other website works fine on the default dns.
I always thought that this skill would be better of as a signet (passive: removes 1 condition every x second, active: steal 3 boons from your target).
The skill has just to many downsides in comparison to other utilities.
- Random boon removal without piorities (most of the time your opponent will have more than 3 boons). Sucks when you want to get rid of stability or protection and you get vigor or swiftness. Same reason why Nullfields boon removal is kinda bad)
- High cooldown
- Needs a target to do ANYTHING (which really sucks for condi removal)
- It fails to often for no apparent reason. ( I think thats because it acts like a projectile)
You almost never need both functions at the same time. So you will be either left without any condition removal when you need it or no boon removal. That sounds good in theory for balance reasons and that it takes some skill to use it properly. But thats really only theory, because boons and conditions are way to common and frequent to get proper use out of AT.
Its almost like Mimic. When stars align right it can be a great skill. But if not you found yourself with a dead utility slot.
Show them that not everything is serious buisness. Try to get people on TS when your server does karma trains or other funny stuff. They will come on their own when they see/hear that you can have alot of fun on TS too. People who are not regulars in WvW hear “come to TS for better organisation” that doesn’t really sound like alot of fun does it?
They probably have the image in mind that everyone is serious on TS with screaming commanders and if you dare to do something wrong hell breaks loose.
And don’t try to force microphones onto them some people just don’t want to talk. You better mention that when you advertise your TS that it is not a requirement to talk on TS.
You’re also forgetting that temporal curtain will hit your ENTIRE zerg. Symbol of swiftness only hits 5 people. That said, I agree that stacking swiftness with curtain is a problem.
Conclusion anet cannot apply (only to TC) a 5-player limit per line and a pulse effect to a “line/wall skill”. Because they all have to have the same basic mechanic.
Or they dont want to.
Just watched livestream recording. Skill looks alright. I cant really say if you can call it op or not since there is counterplay and some risk in it using it. Healing depends greatly on how many illusions are out (no Illusions no passive healing), you will miss out on burst healing and active is not really that useful for alot of builds.
I guess phantasm builds will benefit greatly from it and condition builds certainly will benefit too because it adds more sustain. I dont see much use for it in shatter builds but thats just my impression from what i have seen so far.
Overall not impressed with this season reward as it was mostly just RNG junk and not even related to WvW.
Now that you mention “not even related to WvW”. Noone got any Badges of Honor unless i missed it. This is kinda hilarious.
1st place Silver League Desolation (EU)
- stack of silver Dolyak finishers
-1 Mini Dolyak
- 8 greens
- 4 rares
-1 exotic (random crap, so yay?! i guess….)
-100 Dragonite Ore
-100 Empyreal Fragments
-1 Tastes of Liquid World Experience
- 5 Scrolls of Knowledge
- 10 Tomes of Knowledge
- 1 Essence of Luck (Legendary, 500 Luck)
As i expected pre-season pretty underwhelming rewards (but yea its WvW who really thought that they would be good). They might have as well given out to everyone participating.
The only really disappointing part is the limited finisher. As usual anet thanks for nothing.
I got 1 main character with ascended trinkets, because i can obtain them with a reasonable cost/time effort and i have a choice how to obtain it.
Now lets talk about weapons and soon armor. I only play WvW so my gold income and the mats i get are really limited and considering how ridiculous expensive crafting has become i probably can be happy when i got 1 full weapon set in a year. Not to mention i will be forever stuck in one build. What really upsets me is that im forced to craft and forced to level pretty much every profession.
Once everything is avaible in ascended it will make a difference. So yea id like to deck myself in ascended for WvW-
So to answer OP how many chars i will deck completly in ascended gear. Probably none, because i cannot afford the grind for it.
It’s a high-risk high-reward heal, rewarding for skillful play and punishing otherwise. Seems like a burst spec heal to me. It’s exactly what warriors need.
The only time where it is a high risk situation is in a 1v1 maayyybe in a 2v1 but in every other scenario you are guaranteed to be hit by other damage sources AOE fields, pets etc.
My concerns are
1. no cap on maximum health gained
2. ridiculous high ratio dmg recieved to health gained
So I can get a full Arah set by just PvPing and never have to step foot in Arah? That is going to make alot of PvE people mad if that is true.
I doubt that. You will probably have to transmute skins. Its a nice change each side (PVE/PVP) has its own unique skins you can earn and if you want to you can just transmute them. Fair solution for everyone and anet gets a nice boost in sells for transmutation stones.
I use Tranz stones now,so that isn’t a big deal.I didn’t run Arah for the stats,I ran it for the skins.
Can you trans skins from PVE gear onto a PVP piece already and vice versa? Because this sentence “Players will be able to earn gear in PvP that can be carried over to PvE and vice versa.” implies to me that its not possible yet. I don’t play sPvP so i don’t know but that is what i get from this sentence.

Most PUGS join a team purely as they are used to joining one for champ farming/other pve activity, and have little idea of co ordinated team play.
I’ve lost count of the times I have either tried to form or asked for a team to go off in one direction flipping camps etc while we go in the opposite direction trying to flip something else.
As soon as the commanders go, a lot of BL become a milling mass of brainless wonders- it’s almost like the commander tag dropping switches their brains off, with the reports of sightings disappearing, etc.
Then of course there are those that form a small party or have people follow, run to the first camp left or right, get wiped, try the tower in front, get wiped, and then give up and cry about being unable to get anything as some massive zerg awaits them….try running out and heading north for a while, then flip camps, move fast, use superior rams and don’t move in an obvious clockwise or counter clockwise way so they don’t know where you will hit next.
Apart from the problems you mentioned. The game does an awful job helping the player to organize a large number of people (even a small group of 5+ people) and controlling a map.
The comm tag is plain bad in most cases it just makes a mess when there is more than 1 tag up and 100g is a lot of gold if you dont play often.
Then there is the fact that you see only friendlies in a small area around you which has an huge impact on overall organiziation. Its the main reason why alot of people run around “headless”, because the only way to tell where people are is either via comm tag, chat or any 3rd part communication. But on this large scale you can’t expect everyone to use 3rd party software and the chat becomes just a mess when 50+ player asking for directions and whatnot.
The game relies heavily on the player to organize to a point where it drives PUGs and non regular WvW players away from the game.
Im still waiting for the revamp of the commander tag.

The circle is supposed to reset when you revive the lord same goes for camps. Sometimes it bugs and doesn’t reset and there is nothing you can do about it. It will properly reset after the tower flipped. Its a minor bug and usually just irritating when you don’t know about it.
I have not seen the circle reset when the lord is revived. Only changes color when they return o the circle until they are removed. Once it is killed and the circle appears, it is supposed to be defended at that point until it resets. Happens in camps too. Kill the supervisor and the circle appears..if you don’t kill everything else or remove them from the circle before the supervisor respawns it does not remove the circle, merely changes the color until the enemy is removed again.
Don’t think its a bug at all. If it is a bug it has been one since the beginning because I have seen this happen all the time.
It has been always like that maybe you didn’t pay enough attention or simply you were never in such a situation.
If you have some organized warriors you can make it almost impossible to capture a keep thanks to this mechanic, because you can reset the whole capturing process and not just stall it.
Just watch the first couple minutes.

Sadly to see that some people from Fort Ranik are so desperate that they have to exploit into Bay some guy called Luw Loves Eva [wAve]. And before someone tries to argue ressing through gate is an exploit,
Tab targeting is so wonky because it ignores targets which aren’t in your PoV and you cycle through all targets in that area.
In my experience alot of mmos don’t have a combination of those three factors (Closest target+cycle through every target+ only targets in your PoV) with Tab targeting usually you are stuck with your closest target. I guess they thought it makes everything easier.
If you can manage with that it gets a bit easier. In addition to that i use next/previous target in case i want to “re-adjust”.
There is no point in nerfing AOE Stability in WvW. Is constant Stability in large group fights annoying? sure but so is constant CC spam (hint no Diminishing Returns). None of the mechanics or classes are balanced around large group fights everything is “balanced” around 5v5 or PVE (WvW gets both).
So unless Anet gives WvW its own balancing seperated from PVE and sPVP there is no point in nerfing a single part for WvW. Then they would have to nerf CC output by alot mainly on Warriors guess what the outcry gonna be. Because it effects alot more parts of the game.
But at the end of the day Anet said already that they dont invest manpower into balancing WvW like they do with sPvP. And if they do it at some point (which i highly doubt) then they would have to start at the basics.
I dont really mind it how it works now. Only except like some already mentioned would be Disenchanter and Defender. But what i wouldnt mind is a new trait a variation of the clones on death traits.
For example:
- Illusions destroy themselve on target death. Gain 1 random Boon and Swiftness for 3 sec.
Really just a variation similiar to Sigils with “On Kill” effects.

I have refreshed that page multiple times but seen nothing yet, I also still have the message on the forum that they will livestream something and now somebody said it’s already on or even over?
Now November 8th, at noon PST does not say anything.
So anybody can confirm. It’s already over or not or still needs to start and if so any place to see the video again?
Stream is already over. Here is the recording of it http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2/c/3212728
Of course it’s how the game should be played. It’s not a bug, nor is it a flaw, it’s quite intentional.
The counter is quite simple. It just needs you to actually stop running around with the karma train and deal with it.
Yea and duping items is a tactic too because hey its in the game. Just because Anet hasn’t said anything about it doesn’t mean its not an exploit to res without LOS.
First off, thanks guys for sharing the preview; always tough to showcase an unfinished product that is still yet to even enter officially into beta. The terrain looked amazing and I think it would be really fun to mess around with (good balance of tight quarters and open space!). The resource nodes look great and even the PvE aspects/secondary mechanics sounds pretty interesting.
However, I still have some concerns and in particular there was 1 glaring thing that stood out here, which was, play with your friends.
Basically, the way it works currently is; you pull up the WvW map interface and simply queue up using the Edge of the Mists option. You are then placed into the next available spot in an Edge map. The dev’s didn’t spell it out, but it sounded like you could join on each other’s Edge instance (again unconfirmed). Nonetheless, this is a huge issue. We need to be able to easily play with our friends in WvW, that is something that I thought would ideally be resolved by having a ‘no-queue’ map system. Please, develop this. Having to trick the system to allowing us to play with our friends by queue’ing up, joining on each other’s instances, dropping groups, shifting players around, etc, is going to lead to dead population. We need systems that automatically put us with the people we want to be with when we play.
Another issue that was not touched on was the max players allowed per map; seems like a lot of space and thus this is really shifting towards looking like a 24-7 karma train map. I really hope steps are taken to combat this.
Normally you are able to join your friend’s overflow. I think it will work the same way for this map.
Like I said, sounds like you can join overflows, but this brings us back to the issue then of groups that are full and a 6th is looking to join on the group. Yes, he can get in, but it requires manual circumvention of a flawed queue system to get the player in. Just resolve the issue by giving two options for queue’ing: Join the next highest-population map with an available position, or join a specific, already existing EDGE map just like WvW and hot-join.
We will see the same issues we had with Tequatl maps except the part about guesting. And the only solution i see is that they finally give us the option to switch between overflows. Give us a list of the map and all avaible overflows to it. Of course this can cause issues depending on how overflows are created and closed.
The stream ended and my conclusion is that the map looks certainly nice and i think it will be enjoyable to play.
BUT this is a really big issue.
I expected it to be an never ending open pvp map just to waste some time. But it is its own game mode. The matchup has objectives (Keeps etc.) to be taken and it can be won. Matchup lasts a couple hours according to stream.
This is like the non-ranked version of WvW with some tweaks. This will be really bad for overall WvW population. Now WvW population will split between ranked and non ranked players. To split a population heavy dependent gamemode like WvW is really a bad idea.
I don’t understand how its supposed to work. I hope you can explain that in the stream.
I mean, its overflow but its not. Somewhere I read that you can directly enter it so you don’t have to be in a queue to get there. And it replicates itself when it fills up so there can’t be a queue for it.
But if that’s the case, what happens when people just go there and start fighting and don’t enter WvW proper? Are BL’s going to be even more deserted on lower ranked servers?
From my understanding it works like a PVE map. Either you join it directly or you get pushed into this map once you start queuing. And If the main map is full it generates an overflow. Its like a lobby.
And to the problem that people might spent more time in that map than in the actual WvW maps. Then it just means that the current WvW system needs some heavy changes. And to be honest i wouldn’t be suprised if you see far less people on the actual WvW maps.
greetings to the FR Mesmer-Raider of GAiA lying dead in the water in bay of Miller Border. Dying there so u can get rezzed through the gate…pathetic
Same guy tried this yesterday on Fort Ranik BL in Bay.
I think its a horrible idea to stick to your melee frontline in a zerg fight all the time. You will be the weakest link in that group and just end up being a rallybot. One of the biggest strength of a mesmer is being able to jump in and out of a fight.
The Red Guard video i think shows very well when you should stick to your group and when you should split from them to flank.
defending doesnt need nerfs, attacking does -.-
its too easy to ninja thanks to ram mastery. its too easy to overwhelm with numbers thanks to omega dupes.the rest of your suggestions are mostly good.
Not sure. Me and a mate captured Garrison yesterday with 2 omega golems. We’re definitely not zerging, and if they nerfed attacking, we wouldn’t be able to do this kind of thing. On the other hand if they nerf defending, that’s also bad for small groups, because we often use arrow carts, ballistas and catapults to destroy zergs.
Attacking and taking objectives is awfuly easy. I dont know how many ppl you had but timewarp+golems melt through gates like paper even if they are upgraded. Now take 2+ golems and not to mention you can teleport them in, which gives defenders a timeframe of what 5-10 sec to react? Attackers have a HUGE advantage – there is no damage cap on gates and walls. Walls can be locked down with ease, avaible siege to defend is horrible (cannons, burning oil are a joke for defending, mortars? who cares it gets outranged by trebs and catas are usually so close to the wall so you can’t hit them).
So whats left as an defender is spamming acs or exploiting trebs, because they still hit through gates. And everything gets worse with growing numbers.
Btw those who want body blocking to be a thing. Sure do it the enemy team will be glad to collect your lootbags. Because standing in enemy aoe fire is such a great idea. There are enough options to lockdown a choke point. Of course you would have to know how to use your skills as a guardian for example or working as a group together.
Totally agree with the OP. I dont want to babysit merc camps or sentrys for example. Yes there are 20 achievments so you might think you have enough choices to get the meta and can leave some achiev. But no to many of them are “unrealistic” in a sense that you have to babysit those objectives. The majority of achiev should be aquired by “normal” play and only a couple should be “grindy”.
people complain nobody plays wvw, people complain too many people play wvw, people want to get into wvw ahead of others because they are “higher ranked” or played the game longer, people play wvw only for achivements, people afk in wvw in spawn.
well kitten me
I kinda doubt and hope that those who are complaining are regular wvw players, because they should know better.
Anyways thats the cost of stacking servers but soon you can enjoy the new overflow map in a couple of months i guess. Until then suck it up or transfer to lower tier.
Maybe it is me, but considering I am not from a T1 server I do not see the utility of such a map. If I wanna do proper WvW I go to one of the existing WvW maps, no queue.
Why would I go to a new map!?
Apart from the initial curiosity or maybe it will become another exploit map to farm WXP ranks?!Define proper WvW. If you don’t enjoy the ppt game and just want to have some skirmishes without having to care about constant zergs rolling over your face. You might as well join this neutral map.
Or you could go into the spvp maps and find all the small scale battles you want…I know….that’s just too easy.
Sure you could. If you dont care about:
- playing your pve character
- being able to roam
- the thrill which comes with roaming – running into multiple opponents etc.
Lets just say doing skirmishes in WvW is a totally different experience. Just as an example i think watching a roamers livestream is 10 times more interesting then a spvp match. Everything can happen and its not as predictable.

I wouldn’t count out your chances for success yet Underworld, you are a very high population server and the new WvW achievements will bring an influx of PvE players into WvW.
If you have pug commanders tagging up at all times, it will be difficult to deal with.
The same might happen with AG, but we usually don’t have any pug commanders, which turns off more casual WvW players.
Lets say there will be an influx of PVE players, because of achievments. If it happens then it will most likely happen to all servers. But the major problem alot of servers will run into is having enough PUG commanders which have some WvW experience and dont rage nonstop at their pugs. PUGs get easily frustrated if they get wiped alot, blaming it on the commander and then leave. So under those circumstances every server should prepare with sufficient enough rooster of PUG commanders. Because some random PVE comm wont be enough.
I was really excited about it. Until i read overflow. There is only a minority of servers which have queues so much that it is a problem. So i guess ~60% of all server will most likely never be able to play the new map. Which is also really bad for a public beta test. I really hope they make it accessible through the WvW map selection. At least for the time its being tested.
And i kinda have a bad feeling that it might give people more of a reason to stack servers. Queues are no more an “issue” to experience wvw and the ability to play a 4th map. Its really a double edged sword.
I think you just never realized that the immob ended after you blinked because it was to short. Yes you can Blink while being immob but you can’t remove it with it. Similiar thing with Binding Roots you can blink out of it but the immob still applied. And since immobs can now be stacked its more noticeable.
deso tanked to get into silver they have more than enough to push for top spot, watch em all come outa the woodwork once the league starts.
Actually Desolation and Underworld did send out the majority of their WvW Guilds to other servers so they don’t move up or stay in Gold League. Simply not to raise suspicion. Those tricky kittens. I’ll tell you all guilds will return to their home server on thursday. Rumours say even IRON will go back to Desolation.
I’d be surprised if IRON came back, they burned many bridges as it is.
Yes we’ve overtaken Gandara overnight, but Gandara also has a big PVE population waiting for the leagues to start, I doubt they’ll be many transfers in for us as compared to everyone else who is not 1800 gems like us.
Yes, the irony heh? Its a master plan. PVE population is the key.
- dropping in ranks as fast as Ins Paintrain
- PVE players stocking up on gold for massive transfers
- the sudden uprising this matchup
It all fits together like a puzzle. Man, big things are going down! IRON used NA just for training purposes. You gotta do what you gotta do for those big prizes in Silver League.
And as a sidenote Crimson as a fellow Desolation player you should know better ,)

No nerf fo Mes = good patch.
the duelist was a massive nerf. confusion no longer viable in pve AGAIN. thanks anet.
That’s true, but we ALL knew and used Duelist Discipline on purpose because we saw that it bugged out combo finisher chances.
It’s on the nerf/fix thin line, but let’s face it: we knew that would have come, one day or the latter.
How do you know it was bugged and not the case that they forgot to add the description? The increase 300 attack distance when traited is mediocre compared to the reflect gained by focus skills when traited. Only having substantially higher combo finisher chances will it then be on par with the focus in terms of gain from selecting the trait.
Considering the 100% combo finisher chance ‘feature’ had remained for so long when traited, i’d wager that it is the case they did not include the increase combo finisher chance in the description.
I’m not saying that i doesn’t hurt.
Just that nobody should be surprised by it.
Just like Para sigil fix, which “nerfs” stuns: we knew it was broken, we used for that, we knew it would have been fixed someday.
As far as the “how can you tell it’s not intended” : every single (especially channeled) projectile attack have the 20% combo chance limit, by design.
Also, i think that was a dev response saying it wasn’t intended/it was a bug.
But
a) doubt that i could find it
b) i’m not even that sure of it
so don’t quote me on this.
Was it to be expected? Yes it was sorta expected. Anet didnt clarify that they would change it or not.
Is this fix justified because it was overpowered or anything like that? Not at all, its actually the opposit – or how many ppl still complained about single target confusion bombing between nerf and release of perplexity runes? you can probably count them on 1 hand.
The problem with that fix is. Since Anet nerfed confusion you need a ridiculous amount of stacks. Noone cares about <10 stacks everyone just autoattacks through that. Considering that all our confusion traits are a joke when it comes to duration you are pretty much forced to stack confusion in a matter of seconds. Guess what iduelist made that possible it was a viable way to stack a reasonable amount of confusion. We didnt need perplexity runes for that. But now it makes it pretty much mendatory to use those runes and even then it pretty bad.
I just think it was an unnecessary fix. And i believe the only reason why they suddenly fix it. Is because of the uproar caused by perplexity runes
Heh, iDuelist ’’nerfed’’. No more Confusing image + Ethereal Field + iDuelist huge confusion stack.
no more confusion build for me just not worth it :/ 20% is just to low.
From an untraited standpoint id argue that nullfield is still better in PVP with added boon removal and it is a combo field compared to Mantra of Resolve. And Mantra of Stability is like whatever with 2s Stability. Unless you can predict exactly each incoming aoe stun. Which is in WvW large group fights just hit and miss. The only time i can imagine it being usefull is in a dungeon if a Boss has a specific AoE stun attack. But i dont do dungeons so thats a wild guess.
So ye i dont think the AoE change will make mantras more desirable.
I dont think CI is weak. Its as good as BI. The problem is its Grandmaster and it has to compete with the combo PU+BI which has such a good synergy. Anet should consider moving CI into Master tier. Then you could run something like 30/20/20/0/0 basically the opposite of a PU build being more offensive/control oriented.
@Ross.Biddle i like that build but i think not having 20 in Dueling when using a pistol hurts a lot. You lose alot on Bleeds and Confusion stacks.
The logic behind anet is really “strange” i feel like when they created all trait lines they randomly put traits in an switched just around until they thought it was ok but without actually any theme. You could argue that BI has its place in Chaos, because you gain additional benefits from Boon Duration. So i would rather like to see CI in Domination Master in exchange maybe for Shattered Concentration (tho i dont know how bad that would be for Shatter builds . The only justification i see for CI being Grandmaster is that you can use it together with BI.
Having BI in Domination would also cause a problem with PU builds and keep in mind if you have to many Traits from the same kind in one Traitline it is bad too afterall you can only choose 3. Btw does Wastrel’s Punishment only affect stunned foes? Or does it include immobilizes too?

I’ll repeat some that have been mentioned because these are important:
- Fix the random teleports on Feedback use (they are still there)
its not really random – skills like Dark Path from necro cause you to teleport if they cast it in Feedback, because its a projectile. I think Scorpion Wire has the same effect. Which makes me thinking if ppl can exploit it in WvW if you have a friend on the other server.
Yes. And infiltrator arrow for thieves… but it’s totally wrong to make the “reflect” effect on those skills affect the mesmer. It should simply cancel out the effect for the player casting it (teleport on one direction and then back), why pull the mesmer around?!
Of course its wrong. But the problem for anet is there are no real teleports all are just “tricks”. Anet wont redo all skills and make them not use projectiles. So the only reasonable solution i can think of is make those skills unblockable. But i am not sure if anet will go that far, because that might cause balance issues.
edit: Just checked Dark Path is already unblockable. Nevermind then about mentioning Dark Path causing that issue.

It doesnt change anything. Having low wvw population means that your players will burn out if they play the ppt game. Lets say we go back to 24 hour matchups yes your server might now be able to win 3 or more matches but in the long run you will still lose way more matches. A server with low wvw pop doesnt have the buffer required to play the ppt game long term.
iLeap should work going up & down stairs/slanted terrain.
and let me blink onto stairs. Oh and Nullfield being blocked by Aegis that is just silly.
My guess it will probably come down to AM, AG and Gandara. I kinda have my doubts that Deso will recover in time and i don’t think league will attract many PvE players in general. But will see.
A dynamic point system based on map population would be a good thing.
Right now servers rely heavily on PvD scoring in off-hours and gaining massive point leads just because their server has more players/coverage. Servers should be rewarded for having better organization/better guilds and players and NOT for coverage/population advantage.
The issue with server population imbalance will never be fixed its impossible.
If anet does it right – with a dynamic point system a server wouldnt just gain easy massive point lead which is in its current state impossible to catch up to for the losing server.
Without having a massive point lead the opposite servers are actually a threat. It gives the server with less coverage the chance to do pushes and fight for a better placement. Right now if a server has massive point leads there is no reason for the losing servers to bother entering wvw or fighting for a better place. With a dynamic point system it will come down to who is the actual better server in general and can sustain their ppt at all times and not just off-hour PvDing. We might even see more than 2 competitive matchups.
What a dynamic point system should not do is eliminating any point gain. It should just reduce it not more.
But i guess alot of ppl are just afraid of it that their server has to actually work for it to gain a good and sustained point lead.
As a sidenote that bs with my time is more value than yours and vice versa (which often comes up in threads like that) just cut that crap. It has nothin to do with a dynamic point system.
