Lost 5 pips in 3 matches after switch. but it “appears” balanced based on divisions… We were pretty much outclassed on the two pip loses though…
Basically what people have said about the game is made esports by the players. Super smash bros wasn’t esports when it came out, it was just FUN. Nintendo made a fun game with good mechanics. Easier said than done right? Well that’s just how it is.
Instead of making the spvp scene better by making it more FUN by balancing, adding game modes, tweaking stuff, it’s being bailed out with a $400k prize pool look-at-us-we’re-esports-but-not-really-we’re-just-throwing-money-at-it-hoping-it-sticks. In the long run, this may hurt spvp more than the short term benefit unless they can keep throwing money at it. This is because sure you may increase spvp player base in the short term, but it’s been shown that they don’t stick around due to the frustrating meta changes, map imbalances, poor matchmaking (half/more of the “teams” are retired players that came back just looking for their cut). There is a reason they quit in the first place.
But hey, ultimately they’ll finish the tourney, call their HoT changes a success, pat themselves on the back and the same things will happen “balance” change after “balance” change.
And this is coming from someone who actually DOES like watching high level gw2 twitch spvp.
Can’t enter the tower after reaching the top skip to 1:24 where I jump earlier. 3:04 I jump a little later… My ping is around 84 so It shouldn’t be lag… I’ve made it up more than 5 times… always fail the last jump.
Did the hitbox change for entering?
Others I’ve asked are having the same issue.
there are like 3 teams playing right now, and it just so happens that I am getting paired with them every match (being a soloquer) in a pug. There is definitely a way to game the system to avoid fighting other teams and just doing pug stomps. Should bring back soloq and teamq
Since it didn’t seem engineer was mentioned to be weak to cc which they obviously are (rifle engy’s wreck other engies, warrior hammer cc combo’s wreck engy’s). Does that mean we may get more stunbreak options?
And I just want to put it out there that initiative was cool and junk, but for the game. it is a BAD mechanic. Thieves should not be able to spam skills so many times. Hard to balance.
Decent thieves hard counter just about any remotely glass builds, let other classes run glassy builds without having to just give up against a thief!
The AR nerf makes decap much more killable, I don’t see any decap engies in soloq except on skyhammer.
tbh, most people complaining probably never played engineer so they don’t know how to fight them, if they did, they’d know there are obvious weaknesses.

afaik kits have a fixed damage value balanced around exotics. their damage doesn’t scale with weapon damage. never has.
“Player bundles (kits, conjured weapons, banners, etc.) will now scale damage based on the rarity of the player’s equipped weapon.”
Well I forgot to add PVP before teams. So yah probably 8-10 PVP teams rest pve
there’s like only 8-10 legit pvp teams to begin with so…. you’re not wrong? grats?
People are obviously playing the game wrong, I still see more hambow warriors and minion mancers than either of these specs.
or change the tanky meta.
Incoming nerf, still no viable stun breakers/stability, buggy as hell rocket boots. Nerfed for the sake of other nerfs. Killing a warrior without the burn damage is gonna suck.
Why are people moving in the middle of seasons? You get whatever prize for the server you were on the first day of seasons. GG.
and I have to disagree on the lack of build variety. When I join non-competitive spvp, Almost no engineer is running the same build. We have flamethrower builds, bomb, HGH, nade build. You can swap out kits almost as you please. It’s the small differences, but we have more build diversity than any other class.
Explosives master has great traits: Explosive Powder, Short Fuse, and Enhance Performance. Now we have to choose between 4 great traits…
I don’t know if I could justify 20 points just for incendiary powder. I will probably be using it a lot less. Which is sad because I am missing out on a lot of damage from burning.
Engineer has been a mediocre class that was played by great players. I feel like these nerfs were made to justify nerfs on other classes, but in reality engineers are still behind other classes in terms of balance.

Just let me get this out, it is IMPOSSIBLE for JQ to win league IF the 2x that BGvSORvJQ matchup happens and the other 2 servers force JQ into last place. Assumming that JQ beats the other server without the other 3rd super server.
JQ would get score a 1+5+5+5+5+5+1=27
For arguments sake, lets say SOR is going to win all the matchups without jq against bg. and in the second matchup with BGvSORvJQ same outcomes with jq last, bg first, sor 2nd.
SoR scores 3+5+5+5+5+3+3= 29
BG scores 5+3+3+3+3+5+5= 27
JQ scores 1+5+5+5+5+5+1=27Now for the reverse situation of where bg beats SoR all of the time. I’m still holding JQ’s wins constants, assuming they beat all servers 1v1 not ganged up on by the 3rd super server.
bg scores 5+5+5+5+3+5+5=33
sor scores 3+3+3+3+5+3+3=23
JQ scores 1+5+5+5+5+5+1=27OP was about easy weeks, and yes, they will have more GUARANTEED WINS but their outcomes is solely decided by the 2x you guys meet. if you make sure they get last place the next time the BGvSORvJQ matchup happens, itll come down to sor or bg.

With the guaranteed wins, JQ still has to win the 1v1 t1 in weeks 5 and 6 to even have a chance. AND they need 2nd to tie first or 1st to win in week 7. And that’s assuming the BG vs SoR matchups are totally spread even coming into week 7.
People talking like the harder schedule is going to make a difference. I’ll believe it when JQ wins weeks 5,6,7 with ease as BG and SoR should be totally burnt out by then (as they say).

I make enough continue coins/bubbles in my daily normal world 1 run to do world 1 tribulation.
I am bad at w2 so I have no idea about that.
nice video! Those are some classic builds (with the newly improved rocket boots) What’s great about this video is that it showcases various builds. I think that’s the best part about engineer, is the variety. All builds work, they may not be the best, but you can adjust them to your play style.

imo it’s the initiative system that is op. allowing one class only to spam their most powerful skills (heart seeker hero? I know you’re still around, i saw you in that zerg)

and just an fyi, You can’t run condition immunity under 25% and HGH at the same time… so you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.
most engies realize the survivability is much too low. elixir S gives you invuln, but tbh, unless you have your heal popping up in 3 sec, you're just gonna die after you come back.Hgh nade engi isn’t that great really. Honestly I barely see any engi run it anymore.
And aren’t d/d ele’s still the original hgh engy? In terms of might stacking.

I would much rather nades be a bit more skill based and the damage/cond it has now than have it nerfed to the ground with auto-target. You can’t have both.
Another week. Will they team up on us again to deny the win? we will find out later this week<3.
In all though just makes it a good challenge to have the pressure on hehe.

HGH is still really powerful even without elixir S.
static shot is still so nice. blind and confusion, multi-hit when it bounces.
I am enjoying a nice utilities build now with the improved healing turret.
they made it the same as the ele mist form, except the distance we can travel in elixir s form is much less. and ele’s can still swap attunements for their effects.
It was OP before, but at least make it equal to mist form.

so normal players can portal from water up to chest in one portal? that’s legit.
not to mention he self ressed and was using a thief skill attacking us (the thief spinny invulnerable thing). We put him down quick. but yeah, mesmer portals and thief skills. Yeah, that sounds like he was playing a legit character.

Screenshot doesn’t tell much, but we had control over dome and porting our own teammates up in EB JP. A large enemy group was forming by the water where we were portaling our teammates up, then we see the guy (Anet employee i’m guessing) in my screenshot come up. portal down, I look up, ALL THE WAY UP AT THE CHEST they portal bombed.
Anyways, he fell down along with some others, but pretty much yeah, control lost in seconds when that same server was just controlling it half an hour ago. I really hope it wasn’t a real anet employee.

same thing on my savant helm on my asura, it says dye remover on the big square and I can’t change the color, even though the preview shows up.
I’ve run clock tower probably hundreds of times by now. It never gets old. Love me some jump puzzles!
They just need a ghost timer like on mario cart now, so you can compete against your best time and test out different paths xD
well doesn’t show the go back to top, but i’ve tested it and yeah, you can.
I think for your thread, there are some cases of people surviving through slime randomly, but this is the only repeatable way I know of doing it.
if it’s the same thing as my bug submitted below, then yes, you can climb back up and go into the tower… but at your own pace.
So being the Clock tower junkie I am, I was just messing around. Standing on top of the staircase at the very end, you can let the Green wave pass over you. Now you can freely go back down the tower and not worry about the green wave anymore. This can potentially be exploited by going back to the lower chests and just waiting for them to close again.

I tried standing on a bunch of other objects on the tower, but only the last staircase is safe. So really it’s only possible for people who got to the end xD and are skilled enough not to fall when going back down.
