That was the first thing I tried, but I no longer have my serial code.
I am not quite sure how to go about this now.

I went to log on on the day of 4/17/2015 and I discovered that I was banned for offensive behavior. I personally try my best to be polite to people and I usually avoid trolls and confrontation. I have no idea why I was banned. I would like to know what instances got me banned for offensive language.

I would greatly appreciate any help to understand what exactly I said that got me banned.

What makes me the happiest about this is that I can earn levels for my new characters while learning the class in a high octane combat place. I usually make new characters and spend about 10hr+ in pvp to learn the class then take it to pve and faceroll. Now i can jump in at say lvl 40 instead of lvl 2

Trapping me in a weird limbo where i cant enter tpvp nor leave it. All 4 of my other friends are experiencing this.

Have you tried to disband the group. By that I mean open ur pvp tab, after u already submit, there will be an option that said Disband.

I have been stuck in the tourney party/que thing for 2 days and every time my team and i try and leave, nothing happens. We have logged and switched characters and tried everything and nothing has changed.

I run a similar build and have great success with it. I found that it really shines when i use pvt mixed with zerker jewel, runes of the mesmer+1 rune of the elementalist. I use the sigils that gain endurance on weapon swap and 5% damage. I sit at 19k hp, 3k attack, 16% cirt, 2400+ armor. I have the damage and the condi removal with cleansing flame and ether renewl. Also in air i use the majors: zyphers boon and bolt to the heart. water and arcana are pretty standard.

edit: Also 15 in air gives you a clutch 1k damage skill to hit foes who are trying to run from you

No i am sorry i meant from one race to another. So i have an asuran and a sylvari. I want the asuran cultural armor on the sylvair in respect to it being the same armor class

I know you can do it with other skins and weapons using transmutation stones, but can you do it with cultural?

Fire grab is fine the way it is. NOW the hit box on that kitten thing is kittenen stupid. If you are moving or try to hit something that is not literally standing right in front of you, it completely misses. Does anyone know the shape of the hitbox?

Hey bas i just found out that i work on thursday during the time of the match. I will have someone managing the server so i will talk to them to help you out if you need another CA to do the SAOC event.

I’ve been wondering this for quite some time. I do catch the occasional stream and watch youtube videos. What would really help me though is if someone could put out in plain text what some of the major differences are.

Ive been using it before patch and now it still works after patch. There is a bit of a learning curve with mist form now but it is still a solid utility to bring with you if used properly.

It is possible i have a friend who plays guildwars 2 with a controller. He uses a program called Xpadder. he did enounter one problem. He cant move the camera because it requires you to hold the mouse 2 button down and move the mouse to change the camera. If you figure it out please let us xpadders know.

Who else is still having a blast playing their elementalists? I for one seem to be enjoying it much more than before.

haha i dont even use glyphs that much. Now that you say that maybe i should look into incorporating it into my build. I tried elemental power (the one that gives you conditions to your opponent based on attunment) but I found that it didnt proc that much. What glyphs do you run?

Hey bas dragon here! i would love to join in again. I also have my Server up and running so we could have a place to do it if we wanted to have teams going against each other outside of tournies.

I use this build for everything, pve to tpvp and I decided to see how well it would do after the patch and it i barely felt any change. Just had to adjust when was a good time to use mist form and when not to. Glad the 0/20/0/30/20 still works (Hybrid build)

Thanks guys. But I Seem to say heaps of people in different forums say warriors are the best and really good dps and defence etc. And also when people are asked to choose their favourite profession. All the people I’ve seen says warrior. Is this true? Oh and what level do elementalists become good?

Warrior is a fun class, I have a lvl 72 warrior. Thats kind of a tough question when ele’s become good. I started noticing my survivability go up around 20 when i could get my first ten talent tree points in a tree. I usually went with arcana, water, or earth. Earth and water for survivability but group play i went with arcana so i could switch more often. An ele reaches its full potential like all other classes at level 80 when they can maximize the full use of multiple trees.

You are starting to play in a chaotic time for the class. I would first choose a class that has the play style you like that is the most important. Don’t choose the ele based on if its good or bad. Go for play style you will be much happier. My personal favorite race is Sylvari. All races are equal and the racial skills are kinda meh anyways. For the first month and a half of the game I played theif, but then i found the ele and have been happy ever since. I would also recommend trying out all the classes and watching some youtube videos on how other play them.

Don’t you get more damage from water’s grandmaster minor (bountiful power – +2% damage per boon on you) than you do from fire III? You only need 3 boons up (usually have more) to outpace that skill. Going 0/0/15/25/30 would give you more protection, then you could try a more offensive runeset. Just a thought.

boon hate my friend is going to hurt classes who stack lots and lots of boons. Also with vulnerability from my arcane skill it gets a nice burst going on. The runeset I use to use was Runes of Vampirsm and that actually boosted my power above 3k in spvp. with at rune’s 4th level you got steal health and at 6 a free mistform (that is when i would pop my heal during that or extend it with a longer mistform pre nerf). I will look into a more offensive rune set though, none are just not that appealing to me right now.

Seeing as most boonhate went to warriors, I don’t think it is something you should plan against. If you are going for a more DPS build anyway, your boons will give you greater output and allow you to kill them before you die. Before countering boon-hate, see if it even matters I’d say.

also other thing to look to is that with the necros corrupt boon abilities can really be a game changer. They are fairly common and in spvp/tpvp most bring it because of the popularity of ele’s so what happens is that when they corrupt me with my limited amounts of boons it actually doesn’t very little to me. I do have a lack unique boons so the 25 in water is not as needed (I have also not really noticed a difference in damage since i got rid of it).

also if you have a 0/0/15/25/30 would you mind sharing it? I’d like to see what you have in mind

Build for spvp and 1v1/mess around. Alternative is 0/20/0/20/30 for that evasive or ele surge (focus is good i tell ya….outside of fire 4)

I have to bite the bullet one day and play with d/f in a pvp setting one day. I give lots of props to the D/F players. do you know if Earth 5 on focus stops incoming damage from conditions that are already on you?

The standard 0/10/0/30/30 build should still be fine – just swap out Mist Form for another Cantrip.

I would like to see some damage oriented builds actually!

I have a feeling that the devs are trying to make us try other things than just bunker. To explore other combinations in the other trait lines. like the 10 in fire i put in my original build with the superior sigil of fire actually procs quite a bit and man does arcane blast hurt when they are on fire along with giving them vulnerability.

I also like what you did with the S/D build ill have to try that out

Radmage, it took people 2 months to figure out how powerful a d/d ele build is. It took 4 to utilize it to its highest performance. Elementalists are the class with hidden potential, just like the engineers. It takes time to learn the class and use it to the best of the ability. You are coming in at an exciting time to be an elementalist. You will have tasted how powerful they are, and now you will witness the rise of the elementalist all over again. When I started they were percieved to be a free kill, I thought so too when i started with my first character (thief). It was when i ran into my first D/D ele in early October that i realized that they were not the elementalist from guild wars 1. They were something much more fast pace and complex. Give it time and effort and you will be greatly rewarded.

So as we all know, i just wanted to let you guys know that out of all the profession forums i go on (i try to go to all of them at least a few times a month to see how other players think about their class that I don’t play) that you guys have the best spirit when it comes to your class. Elementalists are in an outrage right now about the nerfs coming. What makes me feel OK with the nerf coming to my class is that I try to look at it like the engi community has taken their nerfs. Take it pride and a way to beat the system. So i tip my hat to you guys for helping me become infused with determination and good spirits despite the man trying to hold you down.

alright guys, its offical. I started the race to day to find new builds. I did cheat a little and started playing around with them 3 days ago

Alright guys so the end of the world is coming on the 30th :P so lets start planning for the “zombie apocalypse”.

I have been playing with this set up for the past 3 days, and its holding pretty well. It doesn’t use armor of earth, or mist form or cleansing water, and with my play style i don’t use rtl that much except to enter a fight (not leave it).
(mind you i have been using it in Tpvp, and Spvp)

*Version 1: *(this build is pretty standard for what is used right now, the one problem i did encounter is that because of the boons being so easy to proc that with the new “x” effect against target with “y” amount of boons that it could lead to some trouble.)

I would love to hear some feed back from other Elementalists who try this trait set up/gear set up. I am also looking to see how it pans out with staff, scepter, and focus. If and all possible maybe people try it in wv3 and pve.

Personal note about myself. I hate having to respec every time i change from pve to pvp to wv3 so i like to have my build set up so i just have to change different major traits inside the lines.

I plan on doing some recording videos after the 30th patch. I was wondering what are some of the communities personal favorite recording programs?

Price isnt really a problem (due to…friends with resources), but I am looking for more of a free program.

I am actually some what excited. Time for some new build to come out, im pretty excited to see what the community will come up with to work around the new changes.

Even though we play on separate servers. I tip my hat to you guys for your ingenuity and bravery. One day Ehmry bay may face the boat.. I would be happy to partake in that sea battle.

I have been running D/D for close to 500hr out of the 600hr that i total on my ele. Recently I decided to pick up the scepter again, and it has been a blast. I would recommend playing with that instead of dagger main hand and choose either focus or dagger off hand. Both are fun its just personal preference. Having scepter main hand allows for some great build diversity to pull away from the 10/30/30 kind of builds, but if you arnt comfortable with that you dont have to. Dragon tooth in a team fight is pretty fun (especially when you are breaking up a zerg, because sometimes they dont see it coming and it hits for like 4k-6k alone). I have full pvt gear and I am working on my zerker set. So far it still works great with pvt. It will just be a little more effective with some zerkers mixed in because of the crit chance.

I play an elementalist. I have been doing it for awhile so I have a good idea on what stun breaks or weapon skills to use to evade or stop barrages against me. The one that I have the most trouble with is getting caught from behind with the mesmer sword 3 2 combo. Are there any skills that allow the mesmer to be interrupted during use of the combo or does distortion protect them from all counters?

The thing is with invulnerably stomping that it can be negated with stealth. I have popped mist form before during a stomp and a thief ran up and used shadows refuge and was able to stop my stomp by making his teammate invisible.

Because of these recent changes I actually have been able to get some of my guildies into tpvp to play with me! I have been trying for months to get them to come over and they preferred wv3 fight clubs. Now with the quick entry and the new (and very fun/beautiful) map our PvE/WvW guild has started to change into a PvX guild. Keep up the good work!
